The staff was polite and courteous however the room smelled very musty and the bathroom sink didn't drain.

All aspects of May stay I will rate as excellent 😊

It was cute and out the way! Close to lots of food places. Clean room. Super nice staff. Breakfast was pretty good and lots of options it was VERY busy tho.

After the first night, we requested a room change, but the hotel was sold out. I believe this would have been a better-quality stay had we been located on another floor and would stay here again with the condition that we won't be on the first floor.

Great location to historic town of Matthews. Older hotel, but well maintained and updated. Friendly staff especially Cheryl for breakfast service.

I love the location it was close to alot of restaurants and shopping plaza. The complimentary breakfast was nice and they had a outdoor grill and seating . Oh the gym was nice with basic equipments the pool was dirty. i dont know how often u suppose to clean it. but it had participles and debris flowing around.

Everything was great. Only feedback is to repaint parking lot lines as it is difficult to park at night and for other vehicles to stay within the intended parking spot

The rooms were super clean, the facilities were spacious, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Plus they had a 12pm check out time which was nice so we were able to enjoy breakfast without feeling rushed. The beds were a little uncomfortable but still had a good night's rest.

The room was very clean, but the breakfast options were top notch. Cheryl in the kitchen hospitality crew was so attentive to everyone that I have to give her my compliments.

Good stay, only stayed for one night. I do suggest more options for breakfast such as eggs or non pork products. However the waffle maker was a nice touch. It would also be nice to have one of those complimentary brochures or flyers of suggested restaurants.

The person on the 4th floor was walking loudly almost felt like she/he was stomping their feet... but I thinkthe hotel is made cheaply and I could also hear her/ he talk on phone so I turned the tv on..The stomping stopped after 11 pm when she or he finally went to bed..

Location was good, check-in was easy. We stayed because my wife was having surgery at 6 AM the following day. The walls were thin, and our 'neighbor' blasted his TV - preventing sleep. Called the front desk, and the unwelcomed noise stopped within 15 minutes. Overall, it was a great experience (and the surgery went well)!

I,had my daughter and son in law to visit me after my wife's passing, I, personally went to the hotel to ck accommodation, Carla ,showed me the room I, would expect to reserve, she mentioned to make reservations soon, I, did,the next day when my family arrived it was not the room I, thought they were to get,disappointed.

The customer service was very welcoming. They moved me to another room to satisfy my needs with no problem. The king suite was so clean. Smelled new and the bedding was comfy. Shopping is not far at all. Burlington is next door. I was able to purchase last minute supplies for the wedding. Everyone was exceptional. If anyone visits the Carolina’s residents and doesn’t fall in love with them, needs to go back home. Charlotte was beautiful, just like their people. Thank you for your hospitality and patience with my stressful situation. Love y’all!!

Clean room. Cheryl, from the breakfast area, was a cheerful person. Excellent service! Tv in room was good.

First of all the hotel is old and ugly with rooms overlooking a motel across the street. Then my key didn’t work for opening up the door. I think all doors have problems. My heater wouldn’t adjust to the temperature so I ended up turning it off all night and the window doesn’t open to get fresh air. I tried to call and report the problem to the front desk but the phone didn’t work either in the morning. I brought the problem to the general manager, Mr. James Childress and he said he’s gonna look into it and see if he can compensate me for the night I can’t believe Marriott put his name on this cheap one star hotel

The room itself had some issues—the air conditioning was very noisy, didn’t cool effectively, and stopped working at times. The property overall feels dated, and the balcony/patio area was unfortunately very dirty, with cobwebs and insects.

Great place except that they don't provide working internet so I can't stay here anymore.

Facility, staff, breakfast at this facility very good. Our only complaint is there were NO luggage carriers available when we checked in and checked out, had to make more than one trip up to room.

Staff was very nice. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only issue was the people above us were stomping around it seemed but I think it was because they may have had kids and that was okay. Once it was time to go to sleep it got quiet and it was comfortable so honestly no issues. Kids are going to be kids lol.

Breakfast was amazing so many options, slept so good, requested a quiet area and they made sure I got that, front desk staff and management were amazing as well as housekeeping and breakfast staff. Very clean!!

Very nice accommodations. Close to major routes to get downtown and to various attractions. Excellent breakfast with changes made to menu daily. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Only drawback was that pool was being remarcited and was not open during one of the hottest times of the year! Wonder why it wasn't done during winter months????

My fiancé and I were in town for a family gathering and we felt right at home! We had an extreme warm welcome from Ms Nicole. She was very kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Hotel was kept clean and housekeeping responded promptly. We weren’t a huge fan of the Main Street being packed a lot of the time however, our stay was great!

After my TV was fixed and I figured out how to work the door to my room the stay was nice; close to stores and restaurants. Seemed pretty safe although it didn’t look it across from the hotel.

Internet was unstable, the hotel lost power for several hours, I had barely any working tv stations, and I left early and they wouldn’t reimburse me.

We had some problems with getting the internet to work and getting the tv remote to move up and down. The young woman at the front desk did an excellent job of solving our problems.

We arrived very late so didn’t look around much. Were disappointed that there wasn’t any soap available at the bathroom sink for washing hands, only soap in a dispenser in the tube. Hope it was just an oversight and not cutback measures.

I booked a king bedroom suite and we checked in late at night but while walking out of the bathroom I stepped on a rusty nail that was sticking out of the tack strip underneath the carpet which penetrated deep enough to cause blood. Upon looking at the floor by the front door of my hotel room the entire tack strip was exposed as the carpet was torn. I let the employee at the front know and she advised she would inform her manager that’s all I’ve received thus far is a “I’ll let my manager know”. I absolutely would not stay here again.

Quick booking after a flight was canceled. Enjoyed a great breakfast and late checkout before flying out.

There was a shooting 4 doors down in the hallway on our second night on our floor. It was the hotels fault and they comped our night. This location does not seem unsafe, just adults behaving poorly.

Staff was super friendly, even at a late-night check in. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were a little dated, but nothing that would keep you from shower. Breakfast had a lot of variety. The workout room was small in size but it had weights and a treadmill, which was all I needed; plus, it was clean and well maintained. I’d suggest this property.

The complimentary breakfast was a highlight. The food was delicious, and I loved that the variety changed daily—it really made each morning feel fresh and enjoyable. While a few amenities, like the pool area and the washer/dryer, could use a bit of updating, they were still functional and didn’t take away from my stay. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. It was a great short stay, and I’d happily return.

Right off route 74 but not so close that you hear the road traffic. Breakfast options were good. Staff was very friendly. The only negative was the air conditioning system which gave of a musty smell and felt damp.

The ratings is a lie. The besr part of the hotel was the friendly staff. The hotel floor had a horrible odor when we first arrived, our toilet was clogged when we 1st arrived, the a/c kept going in and out no matter the temp setting, the room had spots on the ceiling and carpet. The bathroom caulking was peeling.

Our room was clean on arrival. They did have a heated pool and gym which my family used during our stay. The pool was in the small side but my kids enjoyed it. My only area for improvement would have been with the bed and pillows. The bed was very hard which I know some people enjoy but I did not and the feather/down pillows were flat. If I visit again I’ll bring a comforter and pillows of my own.

The first night was great second night didn’t get much sleep I had to make several complaints about the noise above my head: between the persons dog and somebkdy running and jumping back and forth even my children were complaining.
