We arrived in town for our visit early and called and staff arranged for us to be able to check in early for our visit. Staff was attentive to our needs and helpful making things easier for our Mom who has trouble walking.

Amazing. The staff was very courteous & friendly from check-in to check-out. The whole atmosphere was warm, friendly, & exceptional. The amenities was point on. Highly recommended & will be my go to hotel in Charlotte.

I liked the location and how central it was in Charlotte. The staff was very helpful and made my stay much more wonderful. I liked how close it was to the Skyla credit Union amphitheater for the concert I was seeing. It wasn't too close or too far away, so I was able to see more of the city. The next time YUNGBLUD is in Charlotte I will be staying here. There was no free wifi, granted this was one of the nicer hotels that I stayed at. I also wish that there was a complementary breakfast option.

Wonderful hotel, terrific vibrant location uptown Charlotte, great dining on premises and many locations nearby. Be prepared for steep parking fees ($36/night when I visited), next time I'll definitely use the train - Amtrak and commuter rail stop on the same block as this hotel.

The location is ok if you need to be in uptown Charlotte, close to airport. Really expensive parking. Walls are paper thin. Rude people in room next door that were up all Night making noise, loud tv, yelling etc. was dreadful. We didn’t sleep at all. Room had no towels to welcome us. We asked reception to please help us address the noise issue twice. Not sure if anything was done. Finally at midnight I went downstairs after trying to sleep and had a security guard come with me to address the noise situation. For the price, ridiculous. I’d expect something better out of this chain.

Door to my room had a gap all the way around that allowed ample light in. The deadbolt did not lock, presumably due to the poor fit into the doorjam. Was placed in a room in front of the elevators, one had a loud squeal. The final night of my stay, the room next to me was filled with a loud crew. They yelled, screamed, etc until going to the club just after 11pm. Calling reception did nothing to quiet them. They returned shortly after 5am. One couple had an argument, yelling at each other, until the guy left slamming the door. The grand finale to the post club return was the young lady vomiting shortly after 6am. Yes, I heard it clearly. The rooms are not well insulated and traffic noise was also disruptively loud, even being on a higher level floor.

Enjoyed our visit there. Wish they had a microwave but other than that, we will be back for sure. It's one of our favorite hotels to stay in and the staff was great also.

Overall the experience was great. The only downside was no one explained the parking pass if we left out we had to get the new ticket validated it was numerous customers who had to walk from the parking deck back in

Rooms were cleaned after we left mid-morning. the Airconditioning unit was very poor. When we set the room to 21 degrees, it turned itself on only when it exceeded the nominated temp. It was very noisy when on, and this woke both of us from our sleep a number of times throughout the night. When on, the cool air poured out of the vents by the bed, making sleeping in the second bed impossible (both cold and noisy). In summary, the temp was either hot and stuffy, or cool, noisy and uncomfortable.

Not sure if this property was having a bad day or what, it was a snowstorm and sure the city was shutdown, but this was not a pleasant stay. I'd not stay here again.

The room was very clean and on a mid level floor. The staff at the front are AMAZING! We had a king room with a pull out sofa. The size of the space was fantastic but because of that there was a very limited space for the bathroom. The sink was in the hallway and tight. The bathroom door had about half an inch of clearance with the toilet seat and the toilet paper roll was behind the bathroom when open. There was drag racing in the streets all night every night and it was so loud!! The parking was also kind of chaotic. Valet is highly recommended! There wasn’t much direction on how to handle it other than park level 3 or above. So when we came out of the garage from parking we were a block and a half away. We didn’t partake in the attached restaurant but it was busy so it must be pretty good. The cafe was a great choice to have for breakfast even if it was a little pricey.

When we returned from a concert , our room key would not open our door and we had just walked a mile and been out all day long . We called the front desk and they told us to come down to get a new key , so we did. After getting the new key, we went back up to our room only to find that the key wasn’t responding and we were still locked out. We were told that someone would be up to help us out but we waited a while before someone actually came but before they came up to help us my wife called the front desk and apparently wasn’t spoken to very politely or professionally as she was hung up on out of frustration from a manager. (He was very short that’s all we know ). Most of the other staff was helpful but we waited at least an hour to get in our room it seemed like so that was unfortunate. The hotel is rather nice though .

The curtains in our room wouldn’t close all the way so there was a light shining directly onto the bed throughout the night.

Coffee bar was closed down most of the time we were there. Parking deck is pretty inconvenient with no entrance from inside the hotel. Staff wasn’t very welcoming. Stay was okay but not high end.

Greeted once you walk in and helped immediately I wish there was a way to go to the parking lot through the elevators inside the hotel. However, walking was not bad

Came to Charlotte for a conference located in another hotel a few blocks away. Chose to stay at the Doubletree because it was a better price for an equivalent looking room. The room was very clean and overall comfortable for my stay. I was able to work in the room at a small desk area and relax when I was done. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked, but really it was fine. I was also on a lower floor and above the bar/restaurant downstairs and on the last night of my stay (a Wednesday night) I could hear noise from the bar until about 2am. Kind of difficult for me as a light sleeper. My first two nights I didn't hear much.

The doorman was a wealth of information. Only problem toilet was too low for older people.

Clean room; staff was ok. Apparently I had 2 reservations so she cancelled one. Valet was quick and friendly. Housekeeping was nice enough to knock and leave while we slept in. Coffee barista was very friendly. Quick walk to the Blumenthal Arts performance. The Midnight diner was excellent right around the corner.

This is an amazing hotel. It met all of our needs. The only annoying part was hearing the cleaning staff knocking on doors over and over saying “house cleaning, house cleaning”. Location was perfect to all sites. You don’t need a car to get around. The restaurant was amazing. Purchase the breakfast package for the buffet or you will pay more. I would stay here again.

Room (and bathroom) was smaller than expected. Not bad for just a night stay. Breakfast was in a restaurant you have to pay for separately. Good location with parking garage. I suggest using valet due to cheaper price. Great for a game or concert if going to the spectrum center.

I prefer a walk in shower rather than a tub. And the lighting in the bathroom was insufficient. It was too dark in the bathroom. I enjoyed the property other than the bathroom.

It was no explanation of charges until we asked because there were extra charges on our cards. No microwave in rooms, so if you bought food back you couldn’t heat it up. The staff were super friendly. Once asked, the staff explained the card issue. Overall the stay was great.

Stay here for my 41st birthday on the 15th floor with a corner city view. Let’s just say they didn’t disappoint me. Breakfast was included and the food is no ordinary hotel food. Someone put their whole heart into the meal servers was there to cater to your every need. This hotel will be my “go to” if I stay over in charlotte,nc again. Every staff member was beyond courteous and prompt with service.

Very clean and comfortable! The front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the restaurant had actually a fantastic burger for an Italian restaurant. We were in town for a show and we’re so pleased that the walk from the hotel to the theater was less than three blocks and very easy to navigate. We felt safe and valet parking was smooth too.

We went for a concert and it was literally a 2 minute walk. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we’d stay at this hotel again and highly recommend for others.

The room was fine, didn’t Vicky the gym but it’s all the way up on the roof, the bar was crowded and the waitstaff wasn’t very helpful or inviting. They don’t specify when you book that they charge your card for the fist night two days prior but “give” you the option to pay when you arrive. The little person at the front desk was very rude. I will not stay here ever again.

While rooms have a facelift they are outdated, toilet super small, tiles in halls look dirty, and rooms facing the street super noisy. If I have to stay again I would but not my preference. Staff super nice.

I wasn’t informed as to how to return from the attached parking lot as elevator near the hotel wasn’t working and the other elevator was very far from the hotel entrance and outside.

The breakfast was totally awesome. Loved every bit of the breakfast.

Check in was fast/early and checkout was great and I enjoyed my stay and location of the hotel. Only real issue I had was probably the cleanliness of the hotel. The floor I stayed on, the hallway wasn’t vacuumed at all during my stay as I saw the leaves, a tea bag, and something broken on the same spots during my stay. I did call about the trash by the elevator and the floor and they took out the trash but did nothing about the floor. The cleaning lady did not come in the next day and I was concerned why but the following day they did come. Other than that, my stay was great and relaxing

Great location but sadly the room is not very noise proof and we were kept up all night from the noise of the neighbor's TV. They were not being obnoxious, no need to call the front desk, but the rooms were just not well "insulated" for sound.

We checked in at 1am and the overnight staff was amazing. There were four different workers and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

We had a great experience at this hotel, from parking, checking in, and even walking to and from the spectrum center. The hotel staff was very friendly and organized in the midst of concert craziness. We would love to stay here again!

After a concert knowing there would be multi people, the access to use the stairs was blocked and said to be for emergency only… leaving 100 plus people inline waiting to use the elevator and causing a lot of chaos between the parties.. also outside parking stairs was full of homeless people smoking and getting high and would not move so we could get to the bottom floor…

We were able to check in early, which I really appreciated. Room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping and front desk staff were excellent. Nakia at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. He gave us some great suggestions for restaurants in the area. The area is convenient. Very walkable. Lots of things nearby. I'll definitely stay here again.

We were in town for a show. Due to stub hub we were unable to see it but the staff made great suggestions. They were very personable and made our stay enjoyable. Their food was amazing!

The staff was so nice and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. We were in town to see the production of Wicked and this hotel was an easy walk from the theatre so we didn’t have to worry about parking. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

My friends and I booked this hotel for the weekend for a football game. Very nice accommodations, and we were in a location that was in walking distance to entertainment and food. We'd definitely stay here again.

Did not like the setup of our room..We had the junior suite with bed and fold out couch.Bathroon was tiny door barely missed toilet when opening and the sink on the outside of the bathroom was wierd.Just a strange design of the room.Crazy that breakfast was 21 dollars so we definitely didnt have breakfast.Also getting to hotel was a total pain.

I like the design and cleanliness of our room and the hotel but the A/C unit was noisy and there was too much noise coming from the streets. I didn’t sleep well at all. All through the night I could hear loud car and truck traffic driving down the street by the hotel.

If you’re visiting Charlotte, and want to be in the city center, then look no further than this place. 10/10. JJ and Clarence were very helpful with check in and very prompt to any request or need. Will be our place to stay for all our visits in CLT.

Hotel was amazing. Room was clean and spacious. It was actually very quiet even though we were right by the elevators. Unfortunately they were doing a lot of construction around the hotel and it looked dirty and was hard to get in and out of the parking lot. Would definitely stay here again. Oh and the food at the restaurant was exceptional!!!

Extremely loud street noise so if you’re looking for quiet this isn’t the place for you. Also, mini fridge and WiFi didn’t work, toilet paper holder fell off the wall and there was no soap.

Lost my foundation when I changed my room due to the noise level at my original room. The house keeping staff never returned it to me. I knew it has to be there as I used it first day. First time happened to me losing something at the hotel while I am staying there for another 4 nights. The shower did not have cold water in my first room. In my 2nd room the phone does not work. They never bother to fix it. My breakfast was included in the bill, yet every morning they ask me to sign a bill. It’s annoying since it’s buffet style and all they do is pour drip coffee! I really don’t want to be bothered. Not staying there ever again!

The hotel itself is fine. The issue is, "how can anyone spend a night in this hotel or any hotel in the area" when a pre-season football game causes absolute mayhem into the wee hours of the morning. I will stay away from this area of Charlotte as far as hotels are concerned. The police let this truck making huge amounts of noise and with loudspeakers facing the streets race around with a very loud exhaust all night. When I told the hotel desk in the morning how horrible it was they did not offer to do anything. It was not be believed. Bring ear plugs if you decide to stay here.

My stay was okay. The walk from the parking garage to the hotel is a bit of a distance which I disliked. Also, their elevators are extremely slow and one elevator was out of order however, there was no sign stating that. Due to the location of the hotel it’s very noisy late at night which is also a con.

Staff was great and friendly!! My room was warm and it took a long time to cool off. They should have 2 units, especially if you have a suite. The bedroom got cooler but it took forever for the suite room. Also, the valet man, rude as H. Thank goodness, the hotel staff made it better. But he left a negative impact on my stay.

Only complaint was due to noise from outside. On Friday and Saturday there was extreme car racing or loud stereo from car. I was surprised because the area is very nice. The hotel is close to entertainment and restaurants which is great. I would still recommend this hotel if you’re staying during the weekdays but be prepared for the weekend noise.

I barely slept the while visit. There were street racing, vehicles blasting music, constant activity well into the night. I was up at 3am and it was still going. Ear plugs were no help. Hope it wasn't a constant thing. No fault of the hotel but I can never do this again.

Location was great. Service was slow. I asked repeatedly for towels and didn’t receive until I saw the cleaning lady in the hallway. The toilet seat in the bathroom was not sturdy it kept shifting. Discovered one of the bolts was broken.

Very noisy and was uncomfortable walking from parking lot to hotel. Large night club next door made for interesting people loitering beside entrance to elevator of parking. Was charged a surprise 100$ amenities fee and parking was more expensive through hotel than if I paid parking service. Lots of hidden costs which I wasn’t happy about. Hoping my amenities fee comes off the bill bc I didn’t charge anything to room!! Asked for early check and was told they would call once room was ready- no call and didn’t get into room until after 4.

The staff was very accommodating and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The street noise however was so very loud at late hours of the night and continued for hours. Hard to sleep.

Front desk staff was nice and helpful with accommodating early check in at the last minute after a terrible experience at another hotel. We were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies which was a nice touch. The room was clean for the most part. The only con was the beds could be more comfortable, they are a little stiff. The location is pretty close to Uptown where just about everything is walkable. Easy rideshare pickup location.

My room was clean and comfortable, however there was a burned-out bulb in one of the lamps, and the bathroom toilet paper holder was broken. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and the event manager Erin L. was a delight to work with.

This was such a great stay! Parking was very easy and the staff were lovely. Check in was smooth and I was very happy with the room I got. It was clean, neat, and had a comfortable atmosphere. The hotel is very convenient in location and a short distance from the Spectrum Center which is what I was there for. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

Hotel doesn’t deserve the brand. The front desk staff gave us a room and it smelled, was dirty and very small. We went back to the desk just to ask for another room. They lied to us and they were we have 0 rooms available to switch you too. It was around 4pm and right around check in time. How do you not have single room that we could switch to? His solution was to send the housekeeping back in our room and have us wait in the lobby while they sorted out their failures. I had to ask multiple times and then out of thin air they found one other room that was clean by 4pm and moved us into it. Such a disgrace and not up to brand standards. The second room was also very small and very dirty. Bathroom was the worst, with a coffee straw in the sink, and the bathtub coated in from what looked like people showering with shoes on. At least it didn’t smell. The hotel is located in downtown but the area is very unsafe. Lastly we had sent a package there and they couldn’t even find it. Absolutely avoid this property, it’s old, unmaintained, dirty, and the staff is trained to lie to you. Do not book

Fast friendly service at check-in. Close to amenities

The room we were given was right at the elevators. And when I say at the elevators, I don't mean adjacent, I mean our door was in the hall facing the actual elevator doors. There are 3 blocks of elevator doors facing the room, so that's all we heard, day and night. People getting on and off the elevator. People rolling their luggage, people standing outside the elevators waiting and chatting. All very loud the whole day and night. Each floor in the hotel has 2 rooms facing directly at and sharing the space with these elevator banks. I don't know why the hotel was built this way, but we won't return for the chance of that happening again alone. There was a coffee shop area downstairs, but it wasn't open at all when we were there. No signage as to when it would be open. Restaurant opens at 5 pm, but there are plenty of nice places at a walkable distance. We went to RiRa's around the corner. Irish restaurant and bar. Very good. As others noted, you will be woken by people drag racing through the city in the middle of the night. Apparently the windows are double glazed, but that won't matter. Cleaning staff were very insistent on knocking our door multiple times in the morning. We'll stay down the street in the future where breakfast is included.

Staff were nasty! Wasn’t greeted when I arrived in the lobby… just stares! Tv wasn’t working properly.. when the tech came I spoke he looked at me with an attitude an asked for the remote.. snatched it outta my hand smh! Bed was so hard a low to the floor! Bathroom very small with toddler sized toilet that sat very very low to the floor! Parking does not connect to hotel so expect to walk up an hill a distance to the garage… view was awful! Overall just not a pleasant experience at all!

From a single female perspective here is my biggest issue with this place. Getting to and from the parking garage is not ideal. You have to walk through the parking garage, to the elevator, and walk all the way around the building and walk in the front door of the hotel. Although it is well lit, it is also aligned aside several nightclubs and it's just uncomfortable. Usually I get valet for these situations but it was closed by the time I checked-in so I would say that if you are a female and can get valet services it would be a great place to stay. That's really my only complaint. I would stay here again.

They let me check in early which was awesome but the sound proofing of the windows is lacking. Can hear every bit of music and traffic from almost the top floor. Otherwise the experience has been great.

The hotel itself is great. Clean, nice staff, I had an issue with my parking ticket and it was quickly resolved. The room that I stayed in is adjacent to a club, I believe. They partied all night. Construction was noisy. That’s the only complaint. Bring earplugs. The hotel itself was great. Room service, wonderful. Cleanliness and the bed was comfortable.

I wish I was informed that it was different double tree hotel. There was no cups no microwave and the refrigerator wasn’t even cold for me too put my insulin in it.

We found the property to be fresh, clean, and up to date. The location was great for walking distance to great food and bar options, all within 5 min. There is also a nice Italian restaurant located on the main floor without having to leave the building. I recommend the valet for the additional $8 per day because the parking garage elevator does not bring you into the hotel. The tv has Netflix to stream programs.

This was my first time in Charlotte and this hotel did not disappoint! It’s in less than 5 minute walking distance of spectrum center! It’s clean in every corner and was way nicer than we expected. Every single staff that we spoke to were so kind! We will definitely book here again! It will be our ONLY Charlotte hotel. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Our daughter was there with her dance team and they treated our girls like queens! Friendliest staff EVER! I could go on and on! These are the things that matter to a momma!

Very noisy, other than that our stay was nice. We heard a lot of revving of cars/motorcycles but that’s beyond the hotel’s control. From check in to check out, our experience with the hotel was phenomenal. I look forward to coming back soon with my daughters.

Nice place not far from the city

For a chain hotel this was absolutely superb! Wonderful staff, shiny and clean, huge comfortable bed and TV that felt like a home cinema! Being high up was good for views. The gym could have had more machines (I love a rowing machine!) but apart from that everything was great. The breakfast (extra cost) in the attached restaurant was excellent! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Charlotte, only one block from the Spectrum Center. Room was clean and comfortable. Every staff member was friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely stay here again!

Overall it is a nice place. But not really good in several things: 1. no microwave oven provided either in room or on same floor. You have to go to the one by the front desk (no plates was provided for heating foods). Not convenient at all. 2. breakfast time started too late for weekends. and 3. parking service was not good.

Great place to stay for the convenience of attending a concert at the stadium, which is almost next door.

My stay was good , just wish my room had a microwave so I could’ve heat up my leftovers from the restaurant. I was disappointed in the parking rates of $32 a night self parked and Valet $40 a night I will definitely stay here again
