Staff at this place were friendly and courteous. The overhang for the entrance of this hotel was damaged and hanging so there was construction repairs going on to address it. This was an eyesore driving to the entrance. The luggage carrier was filthy and looked like it was never cleaned. This hotel looks like it can use some updating and detailed cleaning. There were no guests in the outdoor swimming pool and it was a hot sunny day. I guess it was not that clean. The room could use a deep cleaning. Old carpets but that is in every hotel we have stayed in. The toilet seat in the bathroom was so loose so I had to tighten the nuts in the back. The telephone didn't work at all with no dial tone. I had to call the front office on my cell phone and they said an engineer would come up to the room to check it. They never came up and I ended up bringing the phone down to the front desk. They finally fixed it by calling engineering. I'll make sure to avoid this place if I have to stay at Charlotte and look for another place.

I’m really glad I chose the DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte Airport because I had a great experience from start to finish. The room was exceptionally clean, and it’s clear that a lot of effort goes into maintaining the property, especially considering it’s an older hotel. Sherman, who greeted us when we arrived, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout check-in. His warm personality and professionalism made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

The room we got 129 was moldy and smelled. We were ther for only a few hours, that room seemed like it was not in use for awhile. The sheets were old and worned out. I assume the standard was higher but no the food was edible but not good. The shuttle service was great, best part of the stay.

Shower didn't work and they knew it didn't before they gave us the room. Had a friend stay two days later, got the same room and shower still didn't work at all! Staff didn't care including the manager. Should be completely reimbursed Same for didn't like!

My stay at this DoubleTree exceeded my expectations. Jeff at checkin made it a breeze. He was familiar with the area and was able to give us directions. Breakfast was surprisingly delicious. On the Buffet was hot grits, corn beef hash, bacon, scrambled eggs and more. The breakfast staff was attentive and friendly.

Advertised airport shuttle service. Main reason I chose this hotel. When I got there, they informed me their shuttle service would not be operating at the hours indicated on their website. So, I had to spend an extra $40 on an uber to the airport. Also, place smelled like cigarettes and vape throughout. Would not recommend.

Staff was courteous and extremely efficient. However, the conditions of the room were way below expectations. $200 for one night, and I couldn’t put the extra lock on the door because it was hanging off from the wall, grout missing on shower tiles, tub had cracks. Also paid extra for a patio, it was a small square concrete slab with a single chair.

The carpet is nasty dirty in the room. I was afraid to walk on it without shoes. There was an upolstered chair in the room that was black with stains. Also the curtains were covered in a thick, filthy dust; they look as they were not cleaned for decades. A very disappointing Hilton property.

The airport shuttle was easy to call and schedule. I wasn't expecting to stay at the Ritz, but typically I view a Doubletree as a solid property to stay at, better than a comfort inn. Every Doubletree I stayed at prior was always clean and well maintained. this one was a bit beat. While the staff was friendly and the bed/pillows were comfortable, the room showed signs of not being clean. There was a booger like substance on the desk chair, there were dirt marks of some sort at the bottom of all the furniture in the room. The bathroom ceiling was wrecked, as if there was a leak and it was very poorly patched. Some of the fixtures were starting to show their age with a bit of rust. The curtains were filthy, stains all over them. This property needs a good deep cleaning and a bit of a refresh overall to get up to the doubletree standard I usually see in other locations.

This is a great hotel. 24 hour pick up and drop off from the airport was fantastic. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. They gave us both a warm baked cookie after checking in which was a nice surprise. Highly recommend.

Not spotless. Someone’s used dental floss gadget was on the floor. Makes me wonder how vacuuming could have missed it. Otherwise room comfortable, nice decor and layout. Bottled water promised as amenity then told not available. No bath mat, only one hand towel.

The front desk staff was great...very nice always. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was ok overall but had some opportunities. Wake up call was right on time! We always appreciate and love the bottled water and edible treats. It's really a nice touch. Thank you. The bathroom sink overflow was crammed with paper and nasty stuff. I honestly wished I did not see it but I did and hard to understand how one cleaning the sink did not see it. Totally grossed me out. Other fixtures were clean and presentable. There was some kind of splattered residue on much of the walls, fixtures and dark walls like a cleaning spray?? Did not like the Security person chastising my husband at 6am in the parking lot because he poured out some ice from our small cooler. My husband was tired and not thinking but did not expect that kind of encounter. I suppose if the frig worked and/or was on, the episode could have been avoided. We did not have the opportunity to really use the facilities or enjoy breakfast as we had an early flight. All we really expect and why we choose Hilton properties, is cleanliness--bed and bathroom, property upkeep and friendly people. We rarely, if ever have a bad experience. This visit had some opportunities. We will stay here again on our way back and we're hoping the experience is what we have come to expect when we stay at Hilton properties.

We have stayed at this hotel several times when flying out of Charlotte Airport. The last two stays have been very disappointing. The check in staff was impolite almost as if we were bothering them. Our last room had no TV remote. Worst of all, we waited for an hour in the cold for the shuttle back to the hotel. Called 3 times before they came.

It is a beautiful property. The front desk staff were very helpful. We stayed there the night before our flight home. There is a bar and restaurant that serves meals all day. Apart from our problems, I would recommend a stay there. When we got to our room, there was some overpowering odor outside of our room door that seemed like an herb smell or plant smell. It got better when we went inside, but there was still some lingering odor. When I was getting ready for bed I was walking in my bare feet and I realized that the carpet was wet! Apparently it had been cleaned, but had not been taken out of service until it dried. We went to the restaurant for dinner. The bartender was doing his job and seeing to the bar and serving a couple of tables. No one came to our table for some time. Finally we got some water, but sat there waiting for menus. We could hear laughing in the kitchen and staff having fun as we got more frustrated. The evening mgr walked into the restaurant and I waved him over to say we weren’t getting service. After that we got menus, our dinner came out and we were finally able to return to our room. In the morning our waitress was very attentive and got us drinks and food right away. They had many choices for breakfast. I left a message for the GM and hopefully they can correct the shortcomings quickly.

I know with the moisture it's hard to control the mold but with was visible across pretty much the whole ceiling above and around the shower. Have a kid with bad allergies but it was late, we were tired and just left the sketchiest hotel ever down the road we could live with that for 1 night and just closed the bathroom door

This place is not on par for a doubletree. Its an old cheap motel redone cheaply to look a little better, but its old and dirty and the room smelled musty and gross....couldn't wait to leave and would never go back.

This hotel is well past its prime and needs a major renovation or should lose its flag. The rooms and hotel smelled like mildew. The furniture fixtures and equipment are very worn. I would stay at one of the newer hotels nearby. The pictures must be 20 years old.

Airport shuttle was excellent. We were able to leave our car at your hotel for 11 nights and the shuttle was on time to take us to the airport. Once we were back, we called to have the shuttle pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. We did not have to wait long and the gentleman that picked us up was very nice and friendly and thanked us for staying at your hotel.

Airport shuttle was excellent. We were able to leave our car at your hotel for 11 nights and the shuttle was on time to take us to the airport. Once we were back, we called to have the shuttle pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. We did not have to wait long and the gentleman that picked us up was very nice and friendly and thanked us for staying at your hotel.

The staff was very friendly with a warm welcome. The general manager was so nice and professional. It was my first time staying there and I will definitely be coming back. I also enjoyed the complementary cookie, ginger tea and 2 water bottles. Thank you for a fantastic experience.

The only issues I had being on the 1st floor; I could not close the blinds, the sink had a very slow drainage and wee ran out of toilet tissue with no full replacement.

But had a group staying next room over partying till 4:30am, tried calling the front desk but the phone did not work so used my cell phone and after 2 hours it was answered and all they offered was to give me another room! At 4am, there shouldn't be a party at that time of the morning. Sad to say a venue with a name like Hilton you have this happem.

Upon checking in the front desk could not help me with app for parking, we arrived to the room no blankets for the pull out I called the front desk they had no pillows or bit gave us 1 sheet and 1 thin blanket!!!! we could use for the pull- sofa we used the AC barley worked.

The staff at this hotel were very rude to my husband and myself. We had to wait 30 minutes for them to call Orbitz customer service to get proof that we had paid for the reservation, even though I showed the hotel manager at the front desk my receipt…in the end, we decided to not stay at this property and book a room for the night at another hotel through Hilton Honors, which was in another part of the Charlotte Mecklenburg area. We are very dissatisfied with the service that we received it was very, very rude and terrible service. We haven’t experienced anything like this before dealing with any hotel staff where we’ve stayed and we travel quite a bit. Would not recommend anyone at the Charlotte Doubletree Hilton on Yorkmount Road.

First room was on the first floor; it smelled like fresh mildew. We didn’t even make it to the room. Second room- toilet got backed up and almost overflowed and had no hot water. Had to move out room half naked. Third room no hot water 3hrs and 3rd ima later.

I love my stay at the double tree by the airport. Everyone was nice and friendly from coming into the front entrance. I loved the cookies fresh bake was so delicious. Each and ever employee greeted me and gave a smile with it I loved that the best. The only thing I didn’t like was the pool area was not open and it was so hot we wanted to get in the water so bad it’s summer time. But we was able to set out on back patio and socialize with friends and family. I definitely recommend people to check in to this hotel I will be back on my next trip to Charottle Nc beautiful place we had a friends weekend away from home.

Doubletree now gives you a chocolate chip cookie with every visit and their shuttle to the airport has a giant cookie on the side of the shuttle.

It's a beautiful hotel. The rate was very good for such a quality hoteI. I only stayed for two nights, but it was very comfortable, and the cookies were delicious. It would be nice if breakfast was included. Breakfast was $18 a person for what looked like a basic complimentary buffet.

I really regret not calling Hotels.com to fix our reservation. I can't believe that place has the Double Tree name! I've had better service and amenities at a Hampton inn and suites! That place was 2 star at its best.I paid for internet to movies, etc. Just to find out that the TV is from the early 2000s and the remote is from the 90s. Basic cable, and I couldn't change the input on the TV to use our on fire stick! The room in Center City was only 20 dollars more. Garbage I tell ya, garbage far what we paid. Total garbage!

First thoughts: i was laying over for 7 hours for my flight the next morning. property looked ok from the outside and the lobby and dining area was clean. However, the front desk assistant i got was an old man who looked around 61 with a foaming mouth and chipped/dry fingers and skin. he was limping and struggling to answer my questions. he looked tired ad overworked and didnt smile once. doubletree needs to be vigilant about who they hire to greet guests. when i got to the room the bed and bath was clean, but there was a broken light switch so i couldnt put on the light in the bathroom. also, a noisy heater is placed by the bed which automatically comes on every ten of fifteen minutes then shuts off. i didn't like that as it was disturbing my sleep. shuttle service to get to the airport was excellent though. however i wouldn't stay here again tbh. ill try something more expensive next time. u get what u pay for.

Usually my stays at DoubleTree is amazing but this location did not meet my expectations! Upon check-in the rep seemed very dismissive. She didn’t give me my breakfast tickets so I was charged twice! The drapes in the room were filthy, the patio area needed to be blown, filed with debris, cigarette butts and tree branches. The smell upon entering was uninviting! I was glad I only booked a one day trip! I will never stay at this location again!

I was unable to get normal basic channels like NBC or CBS, which I thought was strange. Housekeeping also didn't stop at my room the first two days of my trip, had to request extra towels. Overall a great place though!

No soap in the shower. The evening we arrived no soap- only body creme in the shower. The next day I mentioned it to housekeeping, she said there was no soap in the entire hotel. How does a hotel not have soap? That evening we came back- again no soap in the shower, again only body creme. We ended up having to buy our own soap but if management doesnt care about having soap for the showers, speaks volumes.

It was a decent hotel. I just had issues with some of the customer service representatives (i.e. front desk). I had to change rooms in the middle of the night because my room was not secure and it was never addressed although I spoke to two different people.

The first room, 123, they put us in smelled disgusting!!!! I immediately went back to the front desk and requested a newly renovated room. The young lady told me no, but the other lady working heard me complain and then offered me one in 314. No one should have to pay nearly $200 a night for a room that smells like a dirty motel. After them moving us the room was fine. We paid for breakfast when we booked but the waiter gave us an issue in the morning. There was a lady at the front reception desk that acknowledged we paid for the breakfast and fixed it. He didn't need to make it so difficult. Nevertheless, it was corrected.
