The rooms were VERY outdated but very clean. The sofas in the front area inside the front doors are extremely run down, kinda gross. Breakfast was good. The girls cleaning the rooms were very nice.

There’s not a lot to do around the hotel area. The train is near by to ride to downtown. There is breakfast choices. Our room smelled like chlorine when we first got there but then I think we became nose blind to it. Our door didn’t fully close so we had to make sure it clicked shut.

When I asked for 10 extra pillows because of my recent surgery the front staff provided all 10 of them promptly and they were clean NA

It appeared clean enough. The decor was very nice. The small touches in the bathroom were nice. The beds were very comfortable. The carpets had stains that were questionable. The room had a smell that honestly reminded me of pee.

I didn’t receive the bed that I requested on the app. I was told that there were no more rooms with 2 queen beds. I had to sleep on a sofa bed and did not receive a bed with two queen beds. Wasn’t satisfied because I did not receive a room with two beds.

Check in was very easy, the gentleman was very nice. He explained about the breakfast buffet but that was all. I had to ask the next morning when to expect house keeping (since Covid every hotel is different!) and ask about the password for the free wi-fi. The room and main areas were clean but the hotel is showing age. The bed was ok but the chair and sofa were uncomfortable. In the description of the hotel when checking them out said the breakfast buffet was "best in the area". I beg to differ on that, it was all right but not the best.

Rooms were clean and equipped but did not smell fresh and airy. The lighting in halls were very dim. The night crew were not friendly. When i asked for a simple block to charge my phone he hurried me off phone saying he couldn’t help me cause they don't have chargers. I had to leave out during the night to purchase one and then to return to room and realize usb was already available in the room. This was same person who checked me in and he was not friendly or inviting at all. Although its not his fault i didn’t see usb because i was exhausted and just came to rest and get sleep he could have made my stay much better with a simple smile when checking in and saying we do have usb in our rooms. He was too busy using his charged phone to be kind to me.

Location and cleaning staff was very nice and polite. The room had flying insects of some sort on the comforter, walls and ceiling and I felt uncomfortable from the front desk when I asked for a new room since I had been there for 3 days.

This property is located in an area accessible to various retail stores and restaurants. Our room had an air conditioning unit which did not operate properly, room had an unusual odor and the toilet had an improper toilet seat fitting.

How quiet it was, I came here to relax and did just that. Not really anything I can say.

Day shift woman was very friendly and helped us out however night shift man was rude and abrupt with us when we got back to hotel. But worse was to find bugs where the microwave, refrigerator was located. Too damn tired to go elsewhere

Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from, but I could only eat the Sausage & toast. It was a clean area. The pool was closed. There was nowhere to socialize with friends and family inside or outside the facility. No outside tables or seating.

Especially the cleaning. The room was impeccable, also the space. It’s nothing really I didn’t like, but the breakfast could offer fruits.

The initial check-in was unusual. I waited about ten minutes while the clerk behind the desk and a young lady were figuring out about her checking in. He didn’t smile once and didn’t seem to know what he was doing. When it was my turn, no smile, no welcome, just “next.” Then, I swear, he had his finger up his nose, right there in front of me and other waiting customers. He asks for my ID and credit card and I said, “not after you were picking your nose!” So he stepped into the room adjacent to the front desk and I presumed he washed his hands somehow. Even so, when I got upstairs, I wiped down my credit card, ID and room key cards with Purell hand wipes. That guy behind the desk needs to learn some customer service. He acted like he wished he was anywhere else. He’s in the wrong business.

For whatever reason, the pool was closed for the season, although it’s an indoor pool. I was very annoyed at that one amenity not being available. I was there at the end of April, but it was an indoor pool as I stated!!!

My room wasn’t clean the whole time I was there . I was gone for periods of time during the day for events and came back and my room still had trash from the morning and night before . Overall great stay

I’m only scoring it this low because of the smell of smoke weed/cigarette smoke was so bad in the hallways. Would I stay here again probably yes, but be prepared.

While taking a shower, the power went put for over an hour.

My wife and I drove from Virginia Beach VA to Charlotte NC to visit our daughter in college and help her move out of her dorm. We paid through the app 10 days prior to the stay at the hotel. We were supposed to check in was Saturday and check out Monday. We arrived at the hotel a little later in the evening and were told they were full and we did not have a room. The young man that night told me there was a problem with the room the night before and the race that was in town caused to hotel to be at 100% occupancy. We were turned away without a room and were told we needed to call Monday for a refund. We were given zero help to find an alternative and drove to 9 different hotels before finding one with a room for my wife and I. When I called and spoke to the manager Monday he told me the hotel policy is to rent the room if someone doesn’t call to let the hotel know it will be a late check-in regardless of being paid or not. He informed me they would send I message the refund would be done but I needed to call to get the refund completed. Absolutely the worst hotel experience ever!

Bath tub drain not draining good

I respectfully asked for a refund and waiting for for the Expedia team to help me get a refund as I had to book another room at another hotel. My entire vacation has been impacted negatively to this issue.

We booked a non smoking king bed suite. We checked in and when we opened our door we couldn’t even walk in as the smell of smoke was overwhelming. We went to the front desk immediately and were told there were no rooms left. The staffs response was “do you want us to spray feebreeze”. There was nothing else they could do for us other than refund us our money. They didn’t even apologize or assist in finding another hotel. We will never book this hotel again when visiting UNCC and we will not book a Raddison again based on the staff and experience.

Breakfast biscuits were hard as a rock. Most food was not hot. We heard 6 or 7 gunshots that came from the hotel next door. After 10 or 12 police units showed found out a man had been murdered. Staff had no idea anything had happened.

No milk for cereal at breakfast on Saturday….the manager “forgot” to get it?? Ice maker on the floor broken, questionable man trying to sleep in the stairwell. Hallways vey dark. Will not stay again.

I had to change the date of my stay, and the hotel receptionist was very helpful with that. The lighting in the hallway was rather dark, so it didn't give a welcoming feeling. Inside the room, we couldn't figure out how to change the temperature setting, and the bed only had a sheet and very thin comforter. Now that it's not summer, I would expect there to be a thicker comforter, or perhaps an extra blanket in the closet.

Shower had no hot water, staff said the hotel was busy so “wait a few minutes”, water was barely warm the entire stay. TVs were old and had cable only, no streaming. Breakfast was poor quality and had limited options, hot items were just frozen sausage reheated and kept in steaming water, brown bananas, coffee empty. Ice maker on third floor not functioning. Gym had a few cardio things, no weights, the picture showing that they have a relationship with Fitness Connection is outdated and not accurate. Definitely will not return.

We have stayed here a bunch of times, its always clean, friendly, free parking and breakfast are bonus to the inexpensive cost. There are updates needed, cracks in the bathroom, stains on some carpets, etc. it's not a Hilton, and we don't mind these things. For the price it's a great spot.

My hotel stay was good. I stayed for four nights. If I had the opportunity to stay there again, I would not mainly because of the location of the location. It’s nestled back in a secluded road, but that part of Tryon Street in Charlotte is one that I prefer to stay away from. The hotel was overall clean, but the carpets were stained on the third floor. There was a lady steam cleaning the floors during the week of my stay. The only other downside was that the Wi-Fi was not stable and the ice machine was broken. Otherwise, the stay was decent. I did not have the opportunity to experience the breakfast, but it did look like it was a nice area. The staff was very courteous and respectful, and I didn’t run into any other issues.

My friends and I stayed here after a concert at a nearby music venue. We checked in and got ready before the concert, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They even offered a shuttle to the concert venue knowing many guests were attending! Older hotel and needs updates. It was clean, which is very important/. Breakfast for as good. Best part is that it was quiet. End of a cul-de-sac so minimal cars. Quiet. Trees on the back side.

Older hotel and needs updates. It was clean, which is very important/. Breakfast for as good. Best part is that it was quiet. End of a cul-de-sac so minimal cars. Quiet. Trees on the back side.

The breakfast was amazing-eggs, sausage, pastries and other options! The hotel room looked like it hadn’t been remodeled in some time, however it was a spacious suite.

Only one issue - as we got there after sunset, we missed the turn for the road the hotel is on - there was no visible signage and nothing on the main road. Perhaps this is a zoning issue. But we would definitely stay here again, no question.

Overall I was pleased with my stay. Our remote did stop working so we had to get a new one (with no issue just inconvenient) and the door handle to the room was a little loose but the place was clean and quiet.

Very nice hotel. Quiet and convenient, easy parking. Had delicious hot breakfast every morning and a pool although it was closed for the season. I would absolutely stay here again.

I thought the property was close to stores and restaurants and had plenty of parking. Also the breakfast was great! However, the rooms need updates. My bathroom didnt even have a hook for the towels and the hot water took a while to kick in. The tv took forever to switch channels. I was also super disappointed the pool was closed for the season since the was a major reason i picked the hotel (indoor pool). The staff was great but i would not stay there next time.

Then the front desk questioned came up to see and questioned again about the toilet. Finally gave a different room but we had to collect our things and go to front desk, then back to a room that was missing comforters. Called down and had to come down to get the comforters as well. Just not great customer service. It made an impact on our short trip and college visit.

I would not stay here again. Was not very clean and saw a bug that looked like a roach in the bathroom. TV was terrible. I didn't expect much considering the price but was not worth it.

Did not feel it was a good, safe area, seemed to be alot of loitering. Hotel halls, elevator smelled of weed and cigarette smoke. Carpet dirty. Staff was nice.

Place was decent, staff friendly. Stayed there a whole week and everything we needed they attended without hesitation.

The breakfast buffet was great, the staff was friendsly, and the room was clean for the most part. The only reason I didn't give all 5 star ratings was due to a couple of small bugs in the room.

Entire hotel smells of weed. Air conditioners in the first 2 rooms they put me in were broken. Third room was not much better. Definitely not somewhere I would stay again!

Front Desk lady was nice. Hotel room reaked of Cigarettes and shower was dripping, tub rested out. Bug crawing in the sink. Asked to switch rooms. 2nd room was ok, but smelled old and musty. Didn’t feel safe leaving car outside.

The room had a weird smell and there was some random person going around knocking on doors. made me feel very unsafe.

the TV was terrible. Volume was super low even when cranked all the way up. the only good part was the gentleman that checked us in. was super nice. everyone at night did not seem to know what to do about anything or willing to help.

Booked this hotel having stayed at a Country Inn & Suites before in South Carolina and this was NOT the same experience. This place was dirty and smelly and conditions were poor. Room smelled of strong scent of old food or possibly mildew and ashtray. Very dreary decor. We immediately booked a nearby hotel and walked out. We were told no refund and as angry as that makes me staying there would have been gross so money well spent to go elsewhere. Read reviews. I should have dug a little deeper because the bad reviews weren’t off from my experience. Though I won’t speak to staff as some could have had a good experience. Our only experience was the front desk person who unfortunately couldn’t provide a room that didn’t smell nor a refund. Not sure he could have done anything in his position or not.

The pool party at 2 am disrupting our sleep was terrible. Pillows were too small for the bed. And the bed was very uncomfortable.

Upon arrival, we had to wait in line about 30 to 40 minutes as there was only one attendant at the front desk. When I arrived I was informed that

Nice! We had a lovely time on our mini vacation. Everything was fine, but we had a problem with the plumbing in our room—-toilet and sink drained slowly. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay with peace and quiet. Thank you!

Nice location and place. Pool was closed. Gym and breakfast was great. My only issue was the cleaner they used is way to strong/toxic. Had to air the place out for a day or two.

The property’s condition is bad.. the bath tub looks dirty and the sink does not drain the water. I’ve come to stay for one night and using the bathroom has been a disaster. For a one night stay, I could t even get the sink repaired because we were checking out right after breakfast. The staff were excellent(Friendly and Helpful). While I know my first impression has been the worst, I believe there must be a room condition check done after every guest leaves. I’m sure the sink is still not working!

We had reservations for 2 rooms. When we check in, there's a puddle of blood in the foryer. We had to walk through a puddle of water to get to our rooms. Half of the outlets in the rooms wouldn't work. The tub and sink drains were broken and the rooms were dated. At breakfast, someone left a couple of pills on the table. The attendant wiped off the table beside them, but left the pills. We threw them away before any children could get them. While we were at breakfast, house keeping had entered our rooms and was stripping beds before we had even checked out. As we are checking out the next morning, there was still dried blood on the floor. There was obviously little to no effort to clean it up. If they can't clean up blood borne pathogens in a highly trafficked area, what exactly do they clean??

The showers didn’t get as hot, pool wasn’t as big as pictured. The television barely worked. The two guys at the front desk were nice and helping though

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that our room was very clean, although it smelled of smoke. Beds were terrible and water was never really hot, just lukewarm. We also received a call early in the morning the day we were checking in, asking for our credit card info because our card was declined….. but we were not supposed to check in for another 8 hours, and we used the same card when we checked in that afternoon and there were no problems…. I would not recommend this hotel. There are better options in the area.

Stains in my hot tub. I had women’s hair all in my bed sheets when I went to lay down. Recorded videos of everything.

Hotel looks so old and carpet smells. Looks like the carpet wasn't changed for decades and there are cigarette burns everywhere in the rooms and on carpets too. No hot water its barely hot and no or low pressure.

I slept in my CAR ! Horrible..My room smelled like smoke,I spoke to a staff member about it .He offered spray ,I told him I stayed already and I’ve been gone for hours and the smell is still there. The smell was giving me a headache. I tried to sleep in the room but I couldn’t, I slept in my car that night MAY 16 and checked out first thing in the morning. If management check the cameras they will see a female sleeping in a white Toyota suv.

If you love weed this is the place for you. The entire property is gross. Dirty, bleach-stained carpet, broken fixtures and for some reason I had to get my room card/key redone three times a day. But the overwhelming issue is that the entire hotel smells like a dispensary. I attempted to call the front desk to complain but the phones didn't work either. This area has a ton of other options that have to be better than this one.

Understand when waiting on vendors though.

Front desk person was accommodating for early check-in because of college graduation. It was just OK and for just a place to sleep it was alright. Carpet in hallways and room was dirty. We did not access any thing other than a bed to sleep in and breakfast in the AM which again was OK.

Booked the king room with the giant Jacuzzi tub. Room was very clean. Had a hiccup with the plug not being attached but was able to get it in after a few attempts. The gentleman at the desk was helpful and responsive, as was the management via text message. Both check-in and checkout was smooth. No issues. Great location. Easy to get to restaurants, UNCC and entertainment.

Stayed here with my parents overnight while in town for a concert. The room was ok, the sleeper sofa was uncomfortable, and breakfast was good tho!

Room smelled like marijuana told the front desk they gave me air freshener to spray didn't really work I'm guessing someone down the hall next to me was smoking in their room which was causing my room to smell the bathroom toilet was held together by what looked to be putty very thick the shower held water so you were basically standing in 2 in of water while you were taking a shower the sofa bed when pulled out we couldn't get it to go back together so it was stuck the entire trip

Over all nice, just a little under my preferred taste for a hotel. But I did enjoy the hot breakfast!

I chose this hotel since it was rated so highly and realized I was lead askew by the ratin upon arrival. The room I was staying in was very poorly “renovated”. Rust in the bath tub (was too grossed out to even attempt having a shower in there!), water damage/mold on the cabinet under the sink, the carpet in the bedroom didn’t even reach the wall, revealing the cement floor underneath! Ceilings were also gross and the AC did not work well leaving the room hot and humid. Breakfast was not the best, the saving grace was the waffle maker. Would not ever stay here again or recommend it.

Okay stay for 1 night. The pool was closed for the season. The tv remote didn’t. Room remodel was okay. Breakfast selection was okay. Could have had a some healthier options.

I have stayed at multiple Country Inn & Suites, but this one does not live up to the standards that I expected from the chain. When we arrived, we were informed by the front desk attendant that our room (that we had already paid for) had been given to another guest and there were no other rooms available. He “upgraded” us to the jacuzzi room, but it definitely felt like a downgrade. The room smelled musty, and we later discovered there was water damage on the walls and furniture near the jacuzzi. Besides the water damage, the room was very rundown. Other problems? We found alive cockroaches in the cabinets. The mattress was rock-hard, and the pillows were comparable to the ones given out on an airplane. I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for East access to once pavilion and it was perfect, affordable, quiet and comfy.

Our door keys would not work we had to keep going to the dront desk to ask for new ones. The very first set would not work and we were very tired, just came in from out of town, long drive. The outlets did not work properly, we saw several roaches duirng our stay. The breakfast was awful! We will not be returning to this hotel.

Unfortunately the room had lots of places in the walls and tub that needed to be repaired. When we unfolded the couch for the sleeper the mattress cover was covered in crumbs. It certainly wasn’t what I expected from a Country Inn and Suites

Bathroom water was extremely cold/lukewarm, thete was no catd to identify television stations, no stationary and shower flooded onto the floor.

My niece stayed here one night on a weekend night in a king Jacuzzi room and it was very relaxing and clean after a day of walking and riding rides at Carowinds all day. As soon as you walk in, you get the smell of refreshment and clean air. The front desk gentleman was extremely polite and helpful. It was also a quick check in. When we got up to our room, it was spot clean. Beds were made up sheets were clean tucked in tight. There was no dust no streaks on the mirror. They do provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in the shower and above the sink that are not the little samples. The bed is very comfortable. Did not hear any noise after dark or anytime for that matter. The Jacuzzi could have a little bit more pressure to the jets, but it was still nice to soak in. If we are in the area, we will stay again for sure. Also, breakfast was decent.

There was a lot of what appeared to be homeless people around when I got there, The shower was very narrow with a rounded bottom, it was like standing in a canoe. It felt very precarious just trying to turn around in the shower. I almost fell.

Both nights had people yelling and being loud in the middle of the night. Lots of people hanging out in the parking lot. Staff was really nice. Was bummed when we realized the pool was seasonal the pictures look like it's indoor. Didn't get the chance to try breakfast because we left before it opened each morning.

The rooms was exactly like the picture looked like. It was in a very quiet place and easy access to everything that you want to do. Shopping and etc. Beds was also comfortable. Love the Jacuzzi that was in the room.

Our stay was great. It felt somewhat like home. I like how the living room was separated from the bedroom. I liked being on the first floor. Breakfast was ok, need more variety choices, especially for people who don't eat pork.
