Aloft by Marriott Charlotte Ballantyne

I stay here whenever I travel to Charlotte because of its proximity to my appointments and restaurants. The rooms are fairly large, comfortable and clean with comfy beds and work spaces.

Our room was good and the staff was great. Unfortunately, there was a hockey tournament on the weekend we stayed and a lot of pre-teens running around and door knocking and being kids. Note to self, call hotel first and ask before booking.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The housekeeping team did an exceptional job every single day. The room was always spotless, fresh, and very well organized. You could really tell they paid attention to every detail, and it made the stay feel so comfortable and relaxing. I truly appreciated how clean and welcoming everything was throughout my visit. Room was very clean. Staff was pleasant and quick to respond to any concerns. I did not partake in breakfast but I didnt see any available when I checked out at 7am. Parking was surprisingly ok even with construction in the lot. I'd definitely stay again.

Extremely pet friendly. That is the best thing about this place. The location is so prime with so many restaurants within walking distance. It was extremely clean. The only thing is the walls were kinda thin so you can hear everything in the halls and the frosted glass in the bathroom facing toward the room was a strange touch but not bad lol. I would for sure stay here again

The location and the quietness of it all. Not to far from downtown and leisure. Ordered food from the bar and the girl working was too busy talking to notice and did not have our food ready. We had to wait and then go back to get what was cold, freezer burned chicken tenders and the charcuterie gave us literally 3 crackers and 3 pieces of cheese. However, we got a whole cup of olives. The girl even admitted that she didn’t understand why people kept coming down asking about their order. So to sum it up the property itself was a delight the bar and server not so.

Friendly front desk staff, easy check-in and nice treats for your dogs plus no pet fee! Decor was warm and cozy plus no unpleasant odor. Rooms were very clean and comfy place to sleep:-) Morning breakfast items were pricey though better options than local gas stations.

Easy to get to and plenty to do in the area for myself. I felt very safe! The parking want the best at night with the chains.

The pet friendliness, reasonable prices and safe location keeps us coming back time after time. The ONLY thing that is slightly frustrating, is the door separating the lobby from the first floor needs a key which is a fantastic safety feature, but you have to push down on the handle on the luggage carts to make them roll. So you have to unlock the door, pull it open, try to hold it open with one hand while stretching back to the front handle on the cartwith the otherhand, push down and push the cart through the doorway from an awkward angle. BUT...I'll take the awkward push over a lack of safety ALL DAY LONG.

Very clean and cozy stay. Rooms were spacious and a seamless Check In as well as Check Out experience. It’s also ideally located in the middle of the bowl.

Gorgeous Nothing

Hughon was amazing. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. My room was clean and everyone was very accommodating. Will definitely stay at this location again!

Staff was extremely pleasant. We stayed 3 days. Cleanliness and comfort need some work. Beds are firm, people need to know that. Sheets are what I call ‘starchy’, not soft, and are itchy. I slept on towels. The only chair is a desk type. No place to relax to watch tv but the bed. Not good for snacking. No microwave. Breakfast not included in all prices points??? All things to be considered for multi day stays. Cleanliness. Surface clean. Mold in between shower tiles, coffee maker had massive buildup. Lights above sink , lot of bugs and just not clean. Chairs in lobby, yellow, are really bad, wouldn’t sit in them. Had a difficult time trying to add a night. Hotel said I had to go thru Expedia to do that, long story, wasn’t fun. Tv was a major problem. Had to call front desk for restarts. It would just shut off sometimes. Like the last 30 seconds of a playoff game. First time at an Aloft. Not sure if I would recommend.

Really beautiful hotel, surrounded by a nice view and shopping area. Downstairs bar open until 12 & lobby has a pool table! Front desk was a little subpar on the CS but everything else was amazing.

Great stay

Room was modern, with moderately sized rooms, but perfectly inviting. It felt like coming home. Nice lobby area to relax at the end of day. Could have more breakfast options. Cleaning staff should pay more attention to grout lines - but that said, it is cleaned better than almost any place I've stayed.

Was definitely pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. I’ve stayed at the aloft brand before and never disappoints. The price was very fair and would definitely stay there again!

Noise in the building is a little loud at times, especially dogs barking. It’s a pet friendly hotel and attracts alot of dog owners. It would be nice if they confined the animals to one floor. Someone on our floor left their dog in the room all day by himself and he was barking a lot. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast for a fee was reasonable and the common area in the lobby lounge is nicely decorated and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very comfortable for sleeping. Everything worked as it should in our room. I don’t recommend the shampoo, conditioner or body wash provided for people who are sensitive because they have a strong perfume scent.

Tried to check in at 5:30pm - long after official check in time - and room wasn't ready. After a long drive, that's the last thing i wanted to hear. Had to wait half an hour before room was ready. On entering the room, the AC/Heating unit was very loud and had to wait another half an hour before another room was found. Pretty lousy reception. Not even an apology or consideration for the inconvenience. Room was nice, comfy beds, clean. But the first (and 2nd) impressions left a bad taste.

The room was very clean and the location, close to the Ballantyne bowl, was very convenient. I have to commend one of the check in staff, Julie. She went above and beyond to assist with my needs.

The hotel was very loud. Doors were closing and slamming all the time. I stayed in an adjoining room and someone was always knocking on their entrance door. The second night kids decided to play knock and run from 12:30 am - 2:00 am. They would stop for 20 minute periods. I got no sleep. I don’t even stay the third night and drove back. They could keep the money. Would not recommend staying here

Property was very clean staff was friendly parking was EASY AND FREE. Pool was indoors and clean as well as the patio Area. The only thing I didn't hear for was the fact that it wasn't much to do in the area.We had to drive twenty to thirty minutes out.If it was only me and my fiance, that would have been fine.But traveling with a nine year old, you want to be close to something. Overall, stay was great beds were comfortable.I will definitely be back if in the area

Aloft is clean, quiet, comfortable, and in a safe area. I love the modern and upgrade look touch to the decor. If I am ever in the area again this will be my go to hotel.

Great option to Uptown Charlotte

Walls are paper thin.

Unfortunately the hotel experience was not as described. It was loud. Kids everywhere(a sports group), they were constantly running all over the place, being loud and disruptive. The staff seemed to not care and were short handed. Both days we waited 20 minutes for breakfast items like a bagel with cream cheese.

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! We are already planning our next trip here.

Loved the property and shopping experience

We’ve been coming to Aloft for staycations for five years now, and it’s been consistently friendly, clean, and comfortable. The kids had the best time in the heated pool which they had all to themselves for both days of our stay!

Had a great staycation with my sister. They were very accommodating, and super helpful…especially when we forgot a wine bottle opener! Very quiet during appropriate hours and the room/bed was very comfortable. Plenty of things to do, and lots of restaurants and a brewery within walking distance!

Last minute solo trip for some R&R. It was a nice place to stay!

Front desk should mention that if you want ice in your room where to get it, to save a trip back downstairs. Also, no microwave in room? Front desk should also be mentioned and shown where to heat food if needed.

This property is located near a lot of shopping areas and hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is I was given an accessible room and my sheets were a bit dirty.

We came for a mini destressing getaway before the holidays. Unfortunately, even after emailing back and forth with a team member we were sadly disappointed. There were dogs barking on Saturday sunday and monday. We were awaken by vaccumming outside our door or next to it each morning despite have a dnd on our door. It wasnt stress free like I'd hoped. The anniversary was more of a maybe we should've stayed home and dealt with our own dogs. Atleast wed be able to sleep in.The 2nd floor room was nothing special it was clean. The staff was pleasant.

I had to change rooms because there dogs barking in an adjacent room. When I switched rooms, I left my baseball cap in the old room. A couple hours later I realized and the room had been turned over. But the hat was missing. I never recovered the hat. Uncool for housekeeping or staff to not turn in left behind item. :(

Booked through travelocity and payment withdrew from checking account $450 . I presented my card at check in for "incidentals" and was charged for the entire stay again. During our 2nd night, there were 10-20 kids running up and down the halls knocking on doors. The chaos in the hallways went on for a couple hours until we finally called the front desk.

This property is generally very nice. My only complaints were the attitude of the person who checked us in. She was very curt and just not at all friendly. And the efficiency of serving the very expensive and poor quality biscuit and egg breakfast. I was the only one there, waited for 20 minutes for them to nuke the breakfast, and finally went up to the window to check on it, at which point they began cooking it.

We enjoyed our stay, nice property with gym and pool, great location with lots of convenient dining options nearby.

Great hotel. Located in the newest area in Ballantyne. Walking distance to a CLT brewery and food. Hotel bar was also great on my trip.

I absolutely loved my stay here. It was so trendy and modern and the best perk was you walk out into the Bowl at Ballantyne. Pool are fitness center were great, too. Bedroom was great and also had an amazing shower.

The hotel was well kept. Staff was nice. Only trouble I had was with obnoxious teens running through the hallways at 10 pm. Other than that, clean room, modrrn.

Staff was very attentive and the property was clean that’s big for me.. plenty of dining options in walking distance also…. Def would stay here again

The staff was very good. Professional front desk. Bartender was incredible, so friendly and helpful. The room was exquisite, bed was very comfortable.

Everything was perfect except on the day of check out the cleaning lady first knocked at 10:00am with check out time being noon. She camped outside my room it made feel rushed and annoyed me

Excellent room. Quiet and clean with good air-conditioning during Charlotte’s high heat. Room and bathroom are small but very well organized. Low water pressure and loose toilet seat were minor issues that were resolved. Pool was closed. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and responsive. Location in Ballentyne is very convenient to numerous restaurants, grocery and drug stores. Terrific for a solo business traveler or for a family willing to take more than one room.

Way too many kids. Lobby was a mess and noisy. No quiet place except for room. Didn’t even want to go to bar for a drink. Was loaded with kids around bar.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aloft Ballantyne. We brought our dog and everyone was so welcoming to her as well! the front desk staff helped us find a great place to eat that was dog friendly. We were also very happy with the cleanliness and quality of the room!

The hotel is conveniently located in Ballantyne; however the bathroom tile was dirty, the lighting in the shower area was dim, the walls needed touch-up painting, and the walls are thin. You could hear everything from the shower flowing next door, to the conversation of those passing through the hallway.

My husband and I came into town for a family event this weekend and we brought our two dogs with us. Topaz was working the front desk and she was extremely friendly and helpful. I loved that she asked for our preference in regards to what floor we were going to be on since we had our dogs with us, and then she gave us the room closest to the door that leads to the dog park. She made us feel very comfortable and addressed all our needs. Later in the night, we stopped in at the bar and had excellent service from Zaine. Enjoyed our one night stay here and we will definitely be back

Nice hotel. We wanted a place to recuperate after a long flight from India to the US. This worked for us. Even the little pool was helpful in the afternoon. We slept well. Staff was friendly and helpful
