TownePlace Suites Charleston Airport/Convention Center

The location was convenient The room was dirty. We found peanuts under the couch that had been chewed & spit out & a lisinopril under the table/desk. The door battery died & had to be recharged & then replaced. The pool needed to be cleaned for it to be the beginning of summer it was gross. There was an allergen in the bedroom that made us congested.

Pleasant stay, 2 ladies and we felt safe, breakfast area was clean and we had all we needed. The location was close to everything. All went well

The location of the property is great. Not far from downtown Charleston or mount pleasant, and directly across the road from tanger outlets. When I arrived at the property around 10:30 PM, there were several people in the breakfast area and it was extremely loud. I could not hear the lady at the front desk over the noise. After making such a long drive for a peaceful getaway, I was very unpleased with all of the noise, especially that late at night.

Parking was easy and the suite was functional and nice for family. More to do with the room. AC in one room broken on arrival but fixed quickly. Light and electrical unusual- turn off out in main room killed bedroom lights and power near bedside outlets. Kitchen had bit of worn look in places or chips in places and walls and doors had white patched paint to cover up but was not same shade as the original paint. Otherwise all great.

Location was great for the Brandon Lake concert at Credit One Stadium. Had to call for maintenance as soon as we got to our room, as our toilet was clogged. Also, had to ask for an extra towel set, as there were 4 of us and only 3 sets of towels. I checked pricing the day of check in, and it was $70 cheaper, but my card had already been charged.

The bath mirror was loosing its silver. The furniture was worn. The sheer curtains looked like they had been recently laundered(good) but were very wrinkly. Such a large item created a poor impression for the whole room.

The location was great to get away from the bustle of Charleston. The rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and varied each day. Staff was all friendly. The ac in front of room didn’t work well. The vent in the bathroom didn’t work at all. There were no hooks for towels or clothes to hang them up. We went to Dollar Tree & bought over the door hooks. Biggest complaint was the pool was only 4 feet deep.

The 2 bedroom suite was very spacious for me and my family. Everything was clean and updated. No working washing machines and ice machine was out on the 2nd floor.

It was so clean and comfortable. The Staff were always friendly and smiling. Breakfast was amazing and had little changes every day to keep things fresh. Had quite a few great dinner choices in walking distance! The pool was under maintenance the first few days, but opened in time for us to have a good swim a few days before checkout

Suleena, the front desk agent, allowed me and my sister to check in early -rather than wait hours for check-in time. Rooms were fully accommodating and spacious. Continental breakfast was tasty, and there were good dining options within walking distance. Nick & Dan's bbq was delicious. Airport was a short, free shuttle ride away. I would definitely return.

Only negative is the fold-out bed for the third person is against the king bed. Had to climb over family members to get in and out of bed. Not good for us “senior citizens”. Please advise this on the website for people in the future.

Great hotel for the price. Further away from Charleston but easy drive and very close to airport. Beds were comfortable, room big and clean. Air conditioning machine was very loud. Pool small but clean. Hotel would do with some updating but overall we were happy to stay there.

The place was nice but our check in experience was not great. The girl couldn't find our reservation even after showing her our email confirmation. She originally was like there is nothing I can do for you all while my husband and I stood there with 2 children under 2. We asked her to look it up multiple ways and she couldn't find anything. The issue was the ' in our last name. I am still disappointed in the quick response to just say she couldn't find the reservation but overall the stay was good.

I think the staff at the desk was Angela, and she was super helpful and nice! Our room was huge! It was all very clean. We walked over to the outlet mall and there are several restaurants close by.

Reasonable rate for excellent accommodation. Very nice check in, great clean room and close to some quickie restaurants. Felt safe here and highly recommmend. Only draw back is they don’t have a on site bar…but bring your own!

The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the shower was horrible. The water pressure was very weak.

The most unique part of the property was the complete lack of self respect that the caretakers took in keeping the living areas and or areas around the property looking hospitable. The air conditioning was so loud I was unable to sleep, the fridge and blankets smelled as if they had never been cleaned between visits. When asked for a room cleaning I was met with nothing because the lock on my door was dead and nobody could open it. The lamps in the hallways are all hanging at an angle and look like they are going to fall from the ceiling, the carpet in the hallway is missing chunks, and after a conversation with another guest, I learned that their fridge broke and that their garbage disposable smelled so bad that they had to move rooms. I think I would rather stay in the sewers than come back here, at least in the sewers they don’t try to convince you that it’s nice. In truth the best part of the stay was when I checked out and went back to the airport.

It wasn’t far from the airport and outlet shopping which was nice. The staff was also friendly. My room wasn’t very clean. Human hair in the shower, on the soap dish, bathroom floor was dirty. Also there was food left in the cabinet, and a stain on the comforter. I will say it’s great if you get in on a late flight just don’t expect too much.

The setup was perfect. Hotel needs to maintain pest control visits more frequently as there was a roach in the bathroom. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Always liked this hotel. Recommended improvements is internet strength in the rooms and lobby. It was weak and kept cutting out. Staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was just enough and the service was friendly

The property is new and very nice. The pool is beautiful and they had food and drinks by the pool. Staff was efficient. Overall a great location.

Room was not ready until 6pm, 2 hours late. When I got back to the room the next day it had not been cleaned. I call the desk to request towels and had to go get them. Was told they only clean room upon request. I requested the room be cleaned for the next day. It was not cleaned again. The next morning I had to get additional toilet paper from the desk. I expected more for the money spent.

Ms. Voquoiu Carter, Assistant General Manager, was exceptionally friendly and helpful -- she spent a lot of time explaining to us where to go and the best ways to do it, providing us with maps, phone numbers and valuable advice. We are very grateful and would not hesitate stay at the same hotel again.

Our room was mostly clean. Bathroom was not completely clean. Worst pillows we’ve ever slept on in a hotel. Breakfast was the worst free breakfast I’ve ever seen offered. Pool was broken on first day there and then they fixed it. No ice bucket in room so I had to ask the front desk. For all these reasons, we’ll never stay again.

We were visiting for several days with 3 small kids so several of the items provided like soap, coffee pods, clean towels, etc, ran out on the second day of the stay and we had to go to the front desk whenever something was needed. When we did approach the desk, it took the staff a long time and often multiple staff members to locate the requested items. The breakfast was not the best and often ran out before the time period for breakfast was over. The pool was also closed for the entirety of our stay which caused major dissatisfaction for our family. There were also some places where paint was bubbling and repairs were needed in the room.

The hotel was clean when we arrived but there was no housekeeping service. The room was not ready until after 6pm. The AC did not work in the bedroom, there’s no linens for the pull out the shower does not drain and ran over into the floor. Was advised they were short staff and had no housekeeping. After six hours at the ballpark and 117° heat we were not able to shower before getting on a plane home.

Awesome hotel, aesthetically pleasing decor. The staff worked diligently to provide great customer service even though they were short staffed. The cleanliness of our room and the hotel was phenomenal. I will be staying here again in less than a month.

The only drawback was people tend to take things from this hotel that leave patrons without access to certain items. For example, there was only one grilling utensil available for loan because those items had not been returned. Also, there was only one remote in our room -- a room with 3 TVs. The front desk was able to locate one other remote for us -- but, I was gobsmacked anyone would even think to take something like that. The doors are made of wood, so we had to pull up on the front door to close it fully -- but that was no inconvenience because the wood doors kept outside noise -- outside. The commissary in the lobby featured great wine & other things most hotels don't think of providing to guest who are weary from travel. The only thing that was broken in our room was a drawer pull -- but there was no way staff could have been aware of this unless they went around pulling drawers every time someone checked out. The beds were comfortable & the kitchen was just right for our cooking needs -- again, we could tell people thought it was their right to take some of the kitchen items as their personal souvenirs. This location was proximate to great food & shopping. We were impressed enough with the staff, property, & facilities that we will definitely come back again!

Second time staying here within the past 30 days. I will definitely stay here in the future when im visiting Charleston. The ammenities are awesome, full kitchen, dishes, dishwasher, everything you need or want at your fingertips. The bed is by far the most comfortable that youll find. I travel alot and its nice to wake up feeling refreshed. There is shopping within walking distance as well as dining. Its located minutes away from the airport which is nice. Has a very nice outdoor area with a pool and grilling section. I absolutely love staying here when im in town. Highly recommended

I am highly allergic to pets so I asked for a room where no pets had been there, they told me that the room gets cleaned and the carpets gets shampoo, well guess what?, I got my rash and now I have to go to an emergency hospital. There were people without mask and people hanging out around the premises that OBVIOUSLY were not staying in the hotel. I’ll not be staying in this hotel or any other hotel from the same family.

We wanted to check in a little early but was told strict 4 p.m. check in. When we tried to check in at 4, the room still was not ready. The shower does not have a door or shower curtain and is small. Not my favorite hotel.

Great stay with very friendly front desk. The fitness centre was of excellent quality with good equipment. However the to go breakfast was very poor. Also no cleaning is offered at least once a week

Stayed in a queen double room with kitchen. Garbage disposal was clogged full of the last guest’s food and wouldn’t drain which was disgusting. The first handle I reached for I grabbed a bunch of sticky red stuff that was all over the drawer handle. I washed the whole dresser inside and out with a wet cloth and it was absolutely filthy. The room overall was dirty and dusty. Dust and dirty finger prints all over all of the doors. My husband and I spent over an hour cleaning and disinfecting the room. The dirty finger prints and other grime came right off with one wipe of a wet wash cloth which further proves no one had bothered to clean whatsoever. Even the tissue box had brown crap on it. First time I’ve ever seen mattresses at a hotel WITHOUT mattress protectors which is DISGUSTING. You could literally see the mattress right through the super thin sheets. We didn’t even attempt to use the cups or plates in the kitchen because we were so grossed out by the rest of the room there was no way we were eating or drinking out of anything in there. During COVID especially all of this was extremely disturbing. We had our toddler and infant with us and I wouldn’t let my toddler touch a thing. Threw one of our blankets over the chair and made us sleep on top of the comforters. The only good thing about that place was the staff was very nice about letting us cancel and refund us for the rest of the nights we booked so we could get the heck out of there without paying for unused nights.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I want to save someone money and a horrible experience. Upon arrival I noticed many people in the lobby without masks. They were very loud as if they were having some sort of party...in the middle of COVID. Kids were in the lobby throwing balls and running back and forth. Just not something you’d want to see coming into a hotel. Once we got in our room I noticed stains on the couch, no soap, only one towel and wash cloth, white stains on the bathroom floor, stains on the tub, trash still in the trash can, and the toilet paper holder was broken. The remote for the tv didn’t work properly and there were balled up tissues in the bed. I paid close to 200 for this room and overall this place was awful. On the way out we smelled a strong scent of marijuana throughout the entire hallway. This place is disgusting and ghetto!!! Do NOT stay here!
