Place was nice. The valet parking process is just annoying and if you come back late at night they will look at you like your an alien.

Parking was $52 a day Room was LOUD Housekeeping woke us up twice trying to come in early two days. We’re from the west coast. An 8:30am housecleaning call is excessive. Covers only came to my waist and AC was full Blast. I was freezing. Pool is small

Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Bathroom consistently had an odor that smelled like urine. Otherwise, everything was clean and more than efficient. We enjoyed our stay at the Lindy Renaissance Hotel! It was perfectly located for everything we wanted to do .
- 4/5
Nice place, location is excellent t but lighting in the room, ventilation in the room/bathroom and cleanliness of the shower is lacking. Lenoir’s staff is great!
- 5/5
Staff was good except the bartender in lobby bar was not very friendly or happy about what she was doing.

Great facility and clean room. Helpful staff. Our room was too close to the elevator and the front entry was under construction which were both disappointing and noisy.

Great room, amazing location.

Loved the common spaces very much. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We did not have a mini bar which was odd.
- 5/5
Loved our stay- great location- walkable to everything
- 3/5
Room was fairly comfortable. Location is good. Both restrooms in the lobby and one elevator were out of order for the five days we were there. The front desk clerk when we checked in was difficult to understand.

My stay at The Lindy Renaissance in Charleston during August was nothing short of exceptional, making it the highlight of our journey through the southern United States. The accommodations were remarkably spacious and impeccably appointed, offering a perfect balance of comfort and elegance. Each detail in the room design reflected the hotel’s commitment to quality and its deep connection to Charleston’s rich heritage. The staff were exemplary in their professionalism and warmth, consistently going above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience. A particular standout was the innovative car parking app, which streamlined the process of retrieving our vehicle with remarkable ease and efficiency. The hotel’s facilities were equally impressive, with the serene and tranquil pool area providing an idyllic retreat. Bathed in sunlight from sunrise to late afternoon, it was the perfect spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. Ideally situated between King Street and Meeting Street, The Lindy Renaissance offers unparalleled convenience, with premier restaurants, boutique shopping, and the vibrant Charleston City Markets just a short walk away. This prime location enhanced our ability to fully immerse ourselves in the city’s cultural offerings. Our stay was truly memorable, and we are already eagerly planning our return. The Lindy Renaissance is a gem that exemplifies the best of Charleston’s hospitality and charm, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable experience. N/A

Great location. Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. The hotel stay includes certain amenities that we weren’t made aware of at check in such as 2 protein balls each morning and 2 passes to museums. We thought we reserved a balcony room and was told we’d get one but it wasn’t available at check in. Overall great place and would definitely stay here again.

Bed was very comfortable; Staff was supper nice and helpful. Bathroom needs vent fan.

Very good
- 5/5
The Lindy is always a great hotel for location, safety and comfort. It's luxurious without being outrageously priced. It's in the heart of all the shopping and it's my go to in Charleston.

Location, decor. Noisy - could hear every word in the hall outside our room. 1 of the 2 elevators were broken.

So, we actually had a lovely one-night stay at this property but our experience shows how one simple staff interaction can impact the overall impression, good or bad. My son and I checked in and were warmly welcomed by two lovely front desk staffers. They were friendly, helpful and funny and it was great. Our room was nice and the location fantastic. The next morning I went to the desk to enquire if it might be possible to stay for one more night. My experience couldn't have been more different. Almost like it was a different hotel. They were rude and dismissive even before I got the question out of my mouth. I thanked them anyway and when it was time to actually leave, I went back to simply drop my key and there was only one person there this time - she didn't even look at me and simply flicked her nail at the key drop box without a word. Not a 'hope you had a nice stay' or a 'safe travels' or a 'goodbye'. A nail flick. I wished her a good day with a smile and left. To be clear: for this I paid almost $1,000 Canadian dollars plus $50/parking and plus breakfast. For $1,000 I expect eye contact, manners and actual words. They could even have pretended to check the computer for an available room. But no. So that's why I hesitated before leaving this review and waited more than a month before doing so. I am a Bonvoy member. This is a lovely property and the room was great. The night desk was amazing. Check out? Sadly, that lousy experience is what I remember most about my stay.

Nice sized rooms, clean, and extremely friendly staff. It is located a block from the main tourist area and it is quiet. We didn't hear any noise from traffic, visitors, or guests. It feels secluded even though it is a block away. The valets and bellmen are really nice and courteous.
- 5/5
Love every bit of this hotel
- 5/5
Beautiful!! Everything was top notch and high end. staff were wonderful! Love the location! Loved having bikes to ride!! Wish the gym had a universal cable machine.
- 3/5
Balcony was filthy and unusable. Very, very small room. Too small for a nightstand on both sides of the bed. Could only get into one side of the bed. Staff are WONDERFUL. I rented two rooms and they were subpar. The room was booked for $400 per night for Tuesday night and doubled in price to $800 for Friday night. We checked out early.
- 3/5
housekeeping was not good
- 5/5
As soon as you walk up to the valet area, super helpful (especially Brian), front desk awesome and our room was lovely!!! Really liked the bunny bathroom wallpaper! Ate dinner at Lenoir and it was delicious/great staff with good service. Many thx Lindy for an excellent experience!
- 5/5
My wife and I had stayed here a few years ago when it was a different name so I booked not realizing it was the same place. Great location, comfortable rooms, and quiet. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend to just get out and try the several options of dining nearby.
- 4/5
great staff. pool isn't really a pool. older building so some quirks.
- 2/5
The hotel itself is pretty and well decorated and has a nice location. But I’m pretty shocked by the lack of service and care we received.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay at a wonderful hotel! Definitely would recommend!
- 5/5
The customer service was AMAZING!
- 5/5
A couple of minor downsides - the sheer in our window was torn and our duvet had a tear. Also, noisy work was nearby, which set off a fire alarm one day and smelled of metal grinding in the elevator and the lobby.
- 4/5
The stay was great
- 5/5
A fantastic experience from the start. An unexpected medical issue was handled well by the staff, especially the Manager Nick. Unbelievable care and concern from the entire staff. The room and hotel facilities were also fantastic. Highly recommended!
- 3/5
Just ok. Everyone was nice. Had a great Global day reception. Hotel did not have any hand soap for rooms and had a sewer smell.
- 4/5
Amazing stay at this beautifully modern hotel.
- 2/5
The bed squeaked. The A/C never got below 73. Could hear noise in the hallway from stairwells.

Excellent

Would recommend.

Dislikes: mold in the shower (we had 2 rooms, both showers were moldy) which is descriptive of pretty much every Marriott property I've visited over the past year (10 properties). A single (disappointing) restaurant/bar - especially compared to Charleston Place or Planters Inn hotels, each with outstanding restaurant & bar choices. Be aware - downtown Charleston hotels are not known for views. If you stay at the Renaissance, request a room facing the front entry. I rate this 3 overall, because it's a pricey stay, around $500/night for room fees parking. We didn't experience any services that distinguished the property from a Courtyard, other than location. For $500/night, it's average in my opinion.
- 4/5
it was all good
- 5/5
Lovely staff and great location Very nice rooms with fabulously comfortable beds
- 5/5
Excellent Home away from home - great location and professional staff - wonderful place to stay in Old Town Charleston!
- 5/5
It was in a great location, great staff, very welcoming and helpful.
- 5/5
Our first time. Everything was perfect and the service was great. Right in the heart of everything in Charleston!
- 5/5
Awesome stay!
- 5/5
Awesome time here. In the absolute best location, so walkable to everything ! Plus parking for a car right across the street. Staff was helpful and nice!
- 4/5
Beds and pillows were comfy and room was clean. My only complaint is that the hotel was loud, walls seemed to be paper thin.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a great location!
- 3/5
Pillows were horrible, very loud poor insulation in the rooms you hear everything and ridiculous they don’t provide free WiFi
- 5/5
A great stay! The hotel clean and quiet with neat activities- eg the beekeeper making cocktails, the adjoining restaurant superb! Loved the pool!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Absolute southern hospitality - All of the staff were so wonderful. Property was walkable to all of the Charleston sites.
- 5/5
Everything was great! One day it rained heavily and the lobby was leaking but otherwise all good!
- 5/5
It was super hot in Charleston while we were there. The hotel kept rooms stocked with water and also had ice cold water any time we entered the hotel.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
We always stay here when we come to town! It’s the best!
- 5/5
My sister and I have an annual sisters trip and I must say this was the best so far. Charleston did not disappoint and booking through orbitz has always been a positive experience for me.
- 4/5
In general the stay was great!!!! One of the front seat people was ok at best!!!
- 4/5
Front desk staff was wonderful. They went above and beyond. Outside windows were very dirty and bathroom had some mold issues.
- 5/5
We had a fantastic stay, the staff was amazing! The hotel is lovely. We will be back. Thank you for an amazing vacation.
- 5/5
This property was fantastic. Met our needs and the food is great.
- 5/5
Our room was nice, the property was clean ... but there doesn't seem to be a set time when they clean rooms, so being there for a week our room was cleaned twice. Also, and this isn't under the hotel's control, but people were very comfortable with conversing very loudly out in the hall late at night, so weekends could be rough if you want a quiet stay. Otherwise, great experience and Lenoir (the restaurant) was fantastic.
- 5/5
The Lindy staff were friendly and the only word we heard was YES!! We were unknowingly given a hybrid vehicle and were required to re-charge it. The staff again took care of the situation. I would highly recommend staying at the Lindy Renaissance Charleston. The location is close to everything!!
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and very helpful.
- 3/5
Minus- This is a renovated Marriott (and we are Marriott Rewards Members) the remodeled bathrooms are unacceptable. First day, we settled in our room and decided to get a shower before dinner- the shower (room 510) did not drain properly. We notified the front desk and they called maintenance. It was irreparable, so we were moved to Room 301 (handicap room). This was worse than the first room. The renovation was horribly done. SEE PICTURES! Each time we showered water flooded the floor. You had to stand underneath the shower because it is made for a HANDICAPPED person (who may wheel the entire chair in the shower). It was a fiasco but we decided to endure rather than move a third time. Please take my advice and make sure you are not booked in either of these rooms.

Safe haven near historic Charleston
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time. The staff, especially Tiffany was so wonderful. They always greeted you with a smile and helped in every way.
- 4/5
Stayed three nights. Staff was very friendly. Loved proximity to downtown and all the amenities around. Pool is small but filled it’s need for the kid. Almost no water pressure in shower but that’s minor.
- 5/5
The staff is amazing- so kind and helpful. The location is equally amazing- right in the historic district ( such a gorgeous part of the city). We had a wonderful time.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Clean
- 5/5
Parking pricey
- 4/5
Everything was great except for the woman who checked us in at the front desk, she has quite a bit of attitude. When asking her questions she was snippy. It started our trip off on a bad foot. It happened to four of us on separate occasions. We all had different rooms.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
Great location in Charleston. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean.
- 4/5
Good location, friendly staff

- 4/5
everything are ok

Wonderful stay! Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Great hotel, great location. Fully met our needs
- 5/5
Excellent hotel in the historic district of Charleston.
- 4/5
I had a good stay, thought it was a very unique hotel, and just off of meeting street. The Lenior restaurant was excellent! The negative was- my handicapped room was the farthest from the elevator.
- 5/5
It's right off King Street. Great location. Rooms are nice. Not quiet, but nice.
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful, the room was lovely and comfortable (but a bit dark!) and the staf went out of their way to please.
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel right in heart of city, walkable to all the main areas, College of Charleston, King Street, restaurants.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel, great location. Only problem was that my room was not cleaned. We came back from a long day of exploring to an uncleaned room with no fresh towels. When we told the front desk they told us house keeping left for the day and there was nothing they could do.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing from the moment we stepped out of the car, valet parking, luggage was unloaded and to the room without even having to ask. The experience of such a welcoming staff at check in, is something rare these days and makes such a difference!!!! Thank you for such a great stay and look forward to visiting wonderful Charleston, in the future.
- 4/5
Conveniently located in the historic district, most and dining attractions within walking distance
- 5/5
loved this property! it was my first time to Charleston and i thought this propertys location was perfect! Staff was so friendly and accomadating
- 5/5
Walkable to everything . Great value.
- 5/5
The morning of our departure was unsat. No hot water from 7-10am. The front desk said “we have a lot of checkouts and everyone is likely showering “. When departing the front desk, Michael was very unresponsive; “I’ll leave a note”. No understanding and inadequate customer service.
- 5/5
Amazing location and the customer service was top-notch. The rooms are spacious with modern decor. We never used our car and walked everywhere. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The only con through this whole trip was the pool area. I wanted a day of relaxing and the pool area is in need of an update from cushions on the loungers to the mold in the corners of the caulking around the pool. Lot of rust stains . The pool itself is small but still great for a quick dip!
- 5/5
Just A++++ all the way, Am glad I found this location will definitely come back
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Very pleased.
- 5/5
WE LOVED IT!!!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 5/5
Nice property!
- 5/5
Close to everything. If you don’t want to walk you can get a bike taxi or Uber and everything is within reach
- 5/5
Staff was helpful and eager to help. Short walking distance to everything if you want a walking tour or there is a free shuttle bus that runs through downtown with many stops if you prefer. 2nd Sunday of every month, they close down King st for vendors and it was a great little intro to stores downtown. Very pleasant stay, clean & quiet.
- 5/5
I received five star service. Everyone was so accommodating an offer suggestions for great places to eat and visit. I went for my birthday weekend and had the best time. The hotel was in the perfect location right around the corner is king Street King Street is the best place to shop and eat.
- 5/5
Chose this for a last minute overnight and it was flawless from check in to check out!
- 5/5
Beautiful decor, responsive staff, cold waters available at all times, convenient to shopping and dining.
- 1/5
Our stay at the Lindy was less than optimal to say the least. Definitely not what you would expect from a Marriott and a $400/night hotel room. From the first night of arrival, the room smelled so bad from the chemicals that they use to clean it, that it affected our breathing. Secondly, if you are looking to get any rest, the rooms are so loud. You hear every door in the hallway that opens and shuts. There is no way to get any peaceful rest, In addition the housekeeping was awful. We specifically requested someone to clean our room and they came in and made the bed like a child would have with the sheets hanging off the side and the duvet cover completely missing. They didn’t bother to pick up any of our dirty dishes, or empty our trash we brought, all of these issues to the attention of the manager, and also had them look at the room the way it was left. The only caveat of our experience was that the manager did apologize and gave us some perks for our inconvenience.. One other important thing to note is that there is also construction going on all around the perimeter of the Hotel. So also be prepared to hear banging from the construction as well as slamming of all the hallway doors. Our air condition handler cover was also dismantled from the wall so every time the AC would turn on it would sound like a slamming of a door. The only positive is that the location of the hotel was good. Also, if you want to get a cocktail, you have to wait until 4 PM for the bar to open.
- 3/5
There was construction going on in the building next-door and it was very noisy
- 5/5
The Lenoir restaurant inside the hotel is awesome, great food and drinks! The hotel is in the perfect location and everything is very walkable. The hotel staff was very nice and the facility was clean.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great amenities & friendly staff made our stay wonderful! We would definitely book it again!
- 5/5
We will be back! Convenient location, affordable, great bar and restaurant, clean - all the things you’d want in a hotel.
- 5/5
Perfect if you want to have convenient eating and shopping all within walking distance… pool was a nice addition.
