    The location was good and bad.. right off the interstate.. onto a busy street... the motel was right in the corner of the interstate exit and busy highway.. lots of noise. The room was ok.. A closed restaurant right on the property, looked like homeless folks all around and trash from the homeless and from the busy highway. Traffic in and out all night long.

    The bathroom in our room showed visible mold/mildew on the shower curtain, deteriorating black caulk around the tub, and apparent long-term moisture/water damage along the walls and baseboards. The condition of the bathroom did not feel clean or properly maintained. On top of that, there was constant smoking around the property and loud noise outside throughout the night, including someone working on a car until nearly 5:00 AM. Sleep was almost impossible. I understand no hotel is perfect, but basic cleanliness, maintenance, and a quiet environment should be expected. I documented the room condition with photos and ultimately chose to leave because I no longer felt comfortable staying there. I will say management did provide a full refund after we checked out early, which I appreciated.

    The only reason why I gave one star is because there isn’t an option for no stars. The cashier had good customer service, the hotel room is second to living in a third world country, dirty walls,the painted tubs are dirty and rusty, old furniture, smoke smell, the refrigerator did not work. The surroundings are horrendous! The crackheads and prostitutes add the cherry on top strong chance you may be on an episode of cops this place should not charge near the price they’re asking it’s a complete waste of money! I could not even eat my food in the room without wanting to vomit toilets disgusting do not waste your money! they need to be knocked down and rebuilt!

    The ground was hella dirty I used some cleaning supplies and used couple of the towels to clean the floor and the white towels turned black. And it smelled funny and the bed had someone else hair in the bed. But no bugs I guess. But besides that good service and they brought new towels 2 out of the 4 days I stayed there.

    breakfast was good. the price was ok for 2 nights. the tv didn't work and staff knew that but didn't inform me of that. no all the lights worked in the room. linens were stained. the floor need sweeped. the ice machine was dixconnected from the water line. Key cards quit working and had to go to the office get reprogramed. Staff needs to speak better english

    Well the comforter had stains all over it, the shower curtain had mold, and there were roaches. They did replace the shower curtain, but housekeeping never came by to give us new towels or replace the sheets. Front staff was curt. Would not recommend.

    After seeing the condition of the rooms, we did not stay at this property. There were roaches in the room, weird stains on every surface, and mold in the bathroom. Also, the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. We were shown 3 rooms and they all were in the same dismal state. We told the manager that we would not be staying and would like to cancel our reservation and get a refund. The manager agreed to refund a set amount (provided a "receipt"), but said we would have to go through Hotels.com for the rest. However, we were charged the full reservation cost. After creating a ticket with Hotels.com they informed us they were not able to contact the hotel, so we were just out of luck. Anyways, I would suggest staying almost anywhere else.

    This was the worst experience we ever had. The bedding was filthy and had to be replaced, Trash on the bathroom floor, Sticky dirty floors in the room. Used tissues in the empty tissue box. Room smelled like smoke but was a non-smoking room. Outside sidewalk and entire premises just filthy with spilled soda and gum. Seemed to be in a sketchy not so safe area. Very noisy. Staff was not friendly at all. I would recommend that Hotels.com not allow this hotel on their list.

    The mattress was absolutely horrible the AC did not work properly and was very very loud and it was either too cold or too hot that was in the problem the amount of traffic going in and out of the hotel is obnoxious 2:00 a.m. people going in and out people going from room to room there's a lot more activity going on in this hotel ... The best is the black mold in the bathroom on the ceiling in the shower and the $100.00 deposit they put on your credit card or deposit card for atoms in the room meaning the cheapest towels and for the shampoo and conditioner bottles if you take them from the room they glued to the wall and they weren't even filled that was the best part have they ever heard of the Dollar tree?? It's probably where they're buying the shampoo and soap from. Oh in the cigarette smoking in The vaping in the room comes out of the AC unit.

    Room was clean, staff was friendly. Bed was so tiny and the breakfast was not the best. The yogurts were frozen, no milk for cereal, was promised biscuits and gravy and there was no gravy at all, and they hadn’t even put out utensils to eat with. The water was scorching hot and the cold would not come on.

    The Staff was amazing, super nice and great customer service. The problem was with the room. The floors were super dirty making my feet black. There were dead bugs in the corners of the floor, the shower was yellow with gunk and grime, the toilet looked like it hadnt been cleaned in weeks. It was 1 in the morning after a long travel day so I didn't have any other options of places to go. I rinsed off in the shower and when I got out I grabbed a towel that was dirty with black and brown marks all over it. luckily the second towel looked okay. I went to bed and found a pube on the sheets and was disgusted. I was supposed to stay for three nights and checked out the next morning. Again the staff was amazing and helped me cancel my stay and helped with my refund for the nights I didn't end up staying. Lesson learned, never cheap out on hotels.

    There was no hot water for a two-day stay. Mold in bathroom tub. Drain clogged. Clerk absurdly said no adjustment to my bill was possible because I had booked thru Expedia. Manager/owner was to call me to discuss. He never called. Other minor things too that indicate poor management and poor maintenance. Other guests were checked in even tho management knew there was no hot water. Other motels in this area. Travelers should pick one of the others.

    This hotel seems to have folks in transitional housing staying in guest rooms.There were obviously guests at the free breakfast bar who were homeless. As a result, there were no eggs or sausage on Sunday morning at 9am. The fire extinguisher had not been serviced since March 2024. That seems very dangerous. Choice Hotels has not responded, the manager @ Quality Inn hasn't responded. We asked for a partial refund because of these troubling issues during our two-night stay.

    Ms. Sheila at the front desk was extremely helpful and understanding . The scrambled eggs, sausages and biscuits and gravy were a welcome addition to the continental breakfast. The rooms are spacious and comfy. Add the pool and the bar and this hotel is most Def more bang for your buck!

    The area looks very sketchy. A SUV with a trailer attached parked horizontally in front of my room taking up numerous parking spaces so I couldn't park near my room. I am disabled, so that was a problem for me. I was placed upstairs on the back side of the building because I had a service animal, that was another problem. The hotel looked okay at check in during the daytime but at night there were homeless people and prostitutes walking the parking lot & people were sitting & standing outside their rooms smoking marijuana. I went out to Walmart to buy a mattress protector & linen. When I returned it was dark & I was a little afraid to get out of my car, so I sat there for about 30 minutes before I decided to go up to my room. The room had a strong kind of moldy odor, the floor of my room had not been swept, the nightstand and dresser had spill stains that had not been wiped off, tub was old & had been painted. I wanted to leave the hotel but stayed because I had prepaid online. I slept about 11 p.m. & when I woke up I had a couple of painful bug bites of some sort. I packed and left as soon as I woke up around 4:30 a.m. DO NOT STAY HERE !!

    I did not feel one bit of safe at this place. I brought it to the staff attention and they said wait and they would get me a different room but I waited all night until the front desk closed up and put a sign that said call this number but that they were unavailable for any help. So I had to sleep in the same room I complained about all night and nobody tried to do anything to make it right.

    Horrible experience, too dirty everywhere you saw, the sheets smelled horrible, the toilet paper had mold, too unhealthy, the breakfast was the only decent thing, he felt very unsafe outsideAnd too many people smoking marijuana on the stairs outside the rooms and full of garbage outside the doors of them, and the person at the front desk, with all due respect, smelled very bad.

    Well to begin with. Hotels.com did not tell me it was a motel. Not a hotel. It was the type of motel that people live in. Folks were washing the cars in the parking lot. Of course it was non refundable. They wanted 100 dollars deposit on site for the room. Didnt feel safe at all, so i refused to stay. Lost almost 100 bucks on the reservation. Ill never use hotels.com again. Staybaway from this place. I ended up deiving around and finding something better close by.

    1st room was extremely dirty wth a broken tub liner that looks like it had some kind of chemicals in it. Sticky substance on phone and desk and non-functioning a/c. 2nd room was cleaner, still had a smell in it and gnats all over. other guest were in parking lot blasting music until after 11pm, then the drag racing started on the road behind the place. that went on until 4am. not able to get more then 2 hours sleep. as i type this at 7am, another very loud car races by.....not recommended at all.

    Having spent almost nine years working for Choice Hotels, I am compelled to express my concerns regarding the safety and overall experience of this particular property. As someone who consciously avoids stereotyping, I nonetheless felt uneasy during my visit. I attended the Charleston Black Food Festival and was disturbed by the presence of vagrants and individuals who appeared to be gang members behind the restaurant. The bathroom was dirty, and the room had an unusual odor. Additionally, a loud gathering outside persisted for three hours, causing a disturbance. In my opinion, this hotel necessitates significant renovations to address these issues. Its location is convenient, being situated in the heart of the city. Some individuals might characterize the surrounding neighborhood as economically disadvantaged.

    1st room was not livable. Tub was burnt up with cigarette burns. Bottom of tub was burnt up and to nasty to even stand in. Floor was nasty. Beds were dirty. Smelled of sewage. Not fit for humans. The second room was better, but not much. Had no room service. Had to get clean towels from the front desk one night. Had no coffee for the rooms. They said they were out. Breakfast was soso. No sugar, no juices. They were out. Had to wait 20 minutes to get eggs.

    There ended up being a convention in the area so hotel rooms were limited. We chose here because of the price. Once there the room smelled, stains on the beds, roaches in the bathroom the toilet ran all night very loud even with door shut air didn’t work when we got there but something with the electrical. The refrigerator had mold around the seal and was dirty. If I could have stayed somewhere else I would have but everything was booked up. This is the last time we stay here.

    Staff was friendly. Room was spotless Bed was great. Had never stayed with this chain before and they gained a for life customer here. Highly recommend. I am driving two hours out of the way to stay again on my next trip at another location.

    Said he would give a free upgrade to a king... wasn't happening. To then well if you don't mind not having a tv then i have a dbl bed room.... then after more talking... well i have a room with a tv but no microwave... so we settle for that room ... and boy were we in for a treat! Still wondering if we should of settled king room.... Now onto the cleanliness of the room... Open the door and get wacked with the stench of cigarettes. (Yes its a non smoking room) ash all over toilet seat. The floors or toilet looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. I was afraid to take my shoes off. Ants coming in and out of the floor boards in the bathroom. It was just gross... the only thing that seemed to be clean was the bedding. Nothing in my bed so i decided to stay. Needless to say, something was going on in Charleston so there was slim picking for the one night i needed to be there. I guess i see why it is also non refundable. After a 20 hour drive and it being 3 in the am i just needed to rest!! But never again and this is just a warning for other!!! Would of been better of in my car!

    The place doesn’t look like what’s advertised online. I mentioned it 3 times and the front desk man just said ok. Then he said it hasn’t been updated. I bought my own blanket and pillow with me. The pillows were horrible to even look at. The bed skirt was black but filthy. The tub didn’t look clean. No batteries in the remote but they got us some. The good thing is that I didn’t see any bugs at all.

    You get what you pay for. The only service performed on the room was garbage removal. The coffee not shampoo was ever refilled. The welcome to the facility was minimal, and when my key card didn’t work on the second day, I was not asked for ID before the key was programmed. I have traveled extensively for work and this was by far one of the worst hotels.

    Refrigerator was moldy, microwave falling apart, and had to buy spray for the roaches. The construction workers that are clearly regulars are creepy and it wouldn't have been a big deal until one drunk guy on the ground said nasty things to me he thought I wouldn't understand.

    The Good: The price was lower than most other offerings in the same area. The Bad: 1. Beds were not overly comfortable (But not aweful). 2. Drapes did not block out ambient lights 3. Noisy: The walls were thin, the cheap laminate floors reflected sound making it easier to hear guests and TV in adjacent rooms. 4. perling paint; interior ceiling needs repairs. 5. toilet barely flushed (low pressure) all in all i wish i spent an extra $ on better accommodations.

    The breakfast was a bit sparce. The coffee machine was broken, and the apple juice was watered down. So, if breakfast is a deal breaker choose another hotel. The room was clean, and we had plenty of towels, the staff was nice. We just needed a clean room for 2 nights, so it served our purposes just fine.

    I like that we didn't have to ask for towels every day. I didn't like that I could see daylight under the door. I didn't like those bugs were getting in from under the door. I didn't like that the tv remote was busted and had a challenge changing channels or turning off the tv. I didn't like that the extra day I added cost $190. for one night.

    Don't let the pictures online fool you. They are at least a decade old. The place is completely run down. Homeless sleeping in parking lot. People obviously living there and trash all over. The staff was friendly and accomodating but that can't make up for the stay. Would not recommend to anyone.

    I checked in and was given a dirty room with beer cans all over the place. Went back to the counter and was given a clean room with a strong odor of weed! I had to get air freshener just to try to cover the smell because I knew it wouldn’t get much better. The shower went from hot to cold almost instantly, the toilet took a lot to flush, my cell phone was bigger than the tv, and there wasn’t a trash can in the room. If it wasn’t the last room left in the city on a holiday weekend, I would have eaten that $150 and changed hotels IMMEDIATELY! Do not recommend this place at all!!

    A haven for drug addicts and prostitutes. The beds are stationed on a metal spring box , making them noisy and uncomfortable. Cigarettes burnt holes in the bed blankets and broken iron board. Hall ways are noisy with illegal activities. Please reserve elsewhere.

    We stayed in a room without carpet. Naturally, we refrained from walking around barefooted and both had to throw away our brand new socks because the floors do not get mopped. Also, the room attendant came an hour and a half before check out and banged on the door and woke us up in the scarriest way.

    I had reserved two rooms. They only had record of one under my name. They did not have the other room either under my name or my guests. The hotel’s solution was for me to book another room and pay for it. I contacted Expedia for remedy, but the hotel would not provide a remedy. I asked Expedia to arrange refund for both and we drove home at 10:30 at night.
