This inn was perfect - we stayed in the Sweetgrass Room and we loved the decor. The shower was fabulous! We loved being near the horses too! :) Thank you for wonderful memories...

The hotel is located in a great spot, very close to everything in the downtown historic area. The AC situation in the room was not the best, I understand it’s an old building but… all in all it is a good place for the price.

Excellent location! Charming old Charleston house converted to boutique hotel and it was perfect! The only complaint was hearing other guests but no one was up late or too loud. The city was also surprisingly peaceful and quiet at night. I was there for business but would stay here on a romantic or friends weekend for sure!

We loved our stay at Bijou! The room was clean and the service was amazing. Overall, the location was good. It was close to king street, market street and many good bars and restaurants. Our only problem was the inn was in between two horse tour barns so outside the inn smelled bad from the horses. However, there was no smell inside the room or the lobby. Overall amazing stay and we would come back.

Also it’s not the most quiet as it’s situated in a busy area, but no worries, just use the white noise machine they provide or bring your own personal fan like we did.

The absolute best part about this hotel was the location. Everything is within walking distance but still a nice quiet location . Steps from horse carriages, the market, sightseeing , shopping and dining. The hotel had character and everything you could want. Great breakfast with homemade banana and lemon blueberry loaf as well as cereals, yogurt, croissants, coffee, tea, etc. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed and bedding I’ve ever experienced. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommended.

Property has a very homey feel to it. This place has a very cozy feel. Parking wasn't bad. It's unfortunate that there isn't a place to park on the premises but it was manageable. The lot that is about 2 blocks away is reasonable but it is an extra cost to those who stay here. It was a very hot day checking in so the room was a tad warm. My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights and loved the place. Accommodations were great, the house was old with a lot of charm, and we were introduced to Penny, the owners dog who was a pleasure to meet. Would highly recommend Bijou to anyone visiting Charleston.

Charming and comfortable, except for problems with the heating unit. It cut off in the middle of the night and we couldn’t get the remote to work to get it back on.

Has a nice, old school B&B feel. If you're looking for a nice room in a nice location, this place is great. If you're a nitpicker who needs a pool/spa/gym/lounge you likely weren't going to use but would complain about the absence of anyways, spare yourself the high blood pressure and this very nice spot any undeserved negative press.

The location of the Bijou was right in the heart of the old city. Very easy to walk to many restaurants, shops and the waterfront.

The room was cool and we couldn’t hear much noise from outside except the occasional Horse and buggy. The inn is situated between two stables, wasn’t an issue for us. Thanks Bijou Inn for the fabulous accommodation.

Two night quick trip but the Inn was perfect. So much character. Loved the location. Everything was in super easy walking distance. Access to the lobby for complementary snacks was a wonderful touch.

Perfectly located to City Market and the carriage tours. The courtesy room with treats and little breakfast bites was a perfect touch. I just wish they had some parking - had to use the pricey pay lot across the street - but understood the town is limited in that regard. WILL STAY AGAIN!

Christmas week vacation away from NYC during the deep freeze of late December 2022. Like many others, we had a problem related to the harsh weather and massive flight cancellations. The lovely women of Bijou Boutique were so generous, helpful and kind! I’ll always remember and be grateful to them — they saved our vacation.

The Bijou is conveniently located near city market. We loved the quaintness of the property. The room was very comfortable and the free breakfast was perfect.

We had a wonderful experience at the Bijou! Ashley was very accommodating and the pastries and breakfast items were a nice touch! We will definitely try to stay there again should we visit Charleston again.

Awesome place. The beds were REALLY comfortable. It's a boutique hotel, and it's exactly what we expected. Great location. Kind of a pain that the lot across the street is priced 7am to 7am, so you have to pay 2 days parking, but not the hotel's fault.

Great place and a great location ! Very homey rooms and nice staff. My only issue is the parking...you have to pay for public parking, but you must be OUT at 7am ! Not great for vacationers.

Perfect location in Charleston just a block from the straw market and lots of restaurants and shops. Very cute, pink home with nice decor. Very friendly staff.

Most comfortable sleeping bed ever. Very charming old house converted to BnB. Highly walkable.

They have good coffee, pastries, and other offerings for breakfast. The employee was very friendly and super accommodating.

We stayed one night in the Cotton Room. It is very small. The bathroom is unlikely to accommodate anyone over 5'9'', 200 lbs. You can barely turn around in the shower. Loose ground coffee and no filters to make your own coffee in the room is way inconvenient. Same in the common area. It's an old property and some things have to be accepted, however still overpriced.

Misty was very helpful and most pleasant at check in.

The staff was very friendly upon check in and check out which was nice and made it a bit more personal than how a chain hotel brand might feel. The whole place was adorable and our room was very pretty. I loved the color themed rooms. The bed was really comfortable as well.

My hosts were incredibly friendly, and my charming room had a gas fireplace. Last night was very chilly, and I spent the evening reading in front of the fire. It was marvelous.

Fun old style building! In a good spot for touring.
