Reviews
Guests generally have a positive experience at the Andrew Pinckney Inn, appreciating its central location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese hour are frequently mentioned as highlights. However, some guests have issues with room comfort, particularly regarding mattress quality and noise levels, and a few find the staff's friendliness lacking.
- Central location
- Complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese hour
- Inconsistent room comfort
- Occasional lack of staff friendliness

My husband and I stayed here for a quick overnight. Location was perfect and loved the happy hour and free breakfast. Rooms were great mix of historical and modern. Very comfy bed. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner (hairs in bathtub and on walls), but was suitable for one night. Would recommend.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Just a few minutes walk to the market, carriage rides, and great dining. The amenities were excellent and rooms amazing. Traveled with children, and the room was the perfect size. Would definitely recommend for families and couples.
- 5/5
Very nice and the people were awesome

I loved everything about our stay! The breakfast was incredible, the staff was so sweet and the wine and cheese was impressive! Loved our room and just the beauty of the Inn!

Great Inn centrally located to everything. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast daily and happy hr each night. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Breakfast was a disappointment, tasteless. Afternoon wine and cheese was very nice, especially the Scottish hostess.
- 5/5
We were just stopping for the night. The hotel was clean and quaint. Parking was easy. Staff very professional and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
- 5/5
Just amazing place in perfect location! The staff were extra helpful too.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Perfect location, and walking distance to almost everything. The breakfast and evening wine reception were excellent. Would recommend this property to anyone visiting the historic Charleston district.
- 5/5
Extremely high prices are almost justified by the great location for walking to historic sites and restaurants, helpful and gracious staff.Breakfast is better than chain hotels, and the snacks and cold drinks offered in the lobby are a welcome touch. The afternoon wine and cheese reception was only short of food once during my stay. Very quiet at night. Bring an eye mask if light disturbs your sleep, gaps around doors and shades let bright hall lights in. Like most US hotels the floors were not clean, but the remodelled bathroom fixtures were.
- 5/5
Place and location are great to walk around the city. Staff were excellent especially for Cheese and Wine 4-5pm. Thanks again
- 5/5
The breakfast here was amazing! The afternoon wine and cheese was lovely as were the staff serving it. The location was great with easy walking distance to the water. Parking was slightly confusing upon arrival, so watch closely for the sign to valet right next to the building. You pull your vehicle into a very narrow alleyway but if there’s another car there, you have to wait on the street until it’s moved.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast
- 4/5
Our room had no windows to the outside world. We did not know this when we booked the room.
- 5/5
The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and in a great location! The stuff is impeccable and made our staff amazing.
- 4/5
Room was small with very small window at ceiling. Happy Hour food and staff were great.
- 5/5
Morning breakfast a nice amenity. Polite staff. Close walking distance to great restaurants and the downtown market
- 5/5
Hotel building and room very quaint and charming! Great location. Walked to restaurants , city market and Liberty square!
- 5/5
Stay was great. The rooftop wine and cheese was great! Valet parking and tons of water provided in the room. Was much appreciated!
- 3/5
This place had very high reviews that I didn’t think were deserved. Lots of things were really nice about the property, but the price was too high for what was delivered. The breakfast was fine, but not top-tier. I asked twice for my folio to be emailed and had to eventually call the third time.
- 5/5
Probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Our room was perfect. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, different breakfast every day, not your typical hotel. It was like a restaurant. The afternoon wine and cheese was very nice. Various wines and and a small charcuterie board was great. I highly recommend.
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this property as it is beautiful inconveniently located.

The room was exceptionally clean and the bathroom was mostly ADA compliant. Hot breakfast entrees varied dally and the afternoon wine reception was welcomed. Parking was on premises and made the stay safe.

The Andrew Pinckney Inn is a lovely, quaint property conveniently located just steps from King Street and all of downtown Charleston’s attractions. The suite was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The service was friendly and professional with complimentary breakfast, manager’s reception, and bottled water.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Fabulous location! Staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was great.
- 4/5
The staff seemed like they were a little burned out. Not super friendly except for the lady who staffed the breakfast area.
- 5/5
We had an amazing stay! The beds were super comfortable and the location was perfect for sightseeing in downtown.

- 5/5
Good location, nice variety for breakfast and good coffee.
- 5/5
Room was small but well appointed and had a very nice newly renovated bathroom. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Assortment of pastries and the selection of egg dishes is changed up every day.
- 5/5
Very good breakfast. The location is great because it’s on a quiet street in the heart of Charleston.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Location was central and good for exploring downtown Charleston. Breakfast and wine reception were both excellent perks. The beds were comfortable though noise from the hallway and the floor above us carried late into the night.
- 5/5
Parking was easy and affordable. Breakfast is included with your stay.
- 5/5
Great little place in the historic district of Charlestown that was convenient for walking the entire area. Great breakfast and afternoon wine and snacks. Highly recommend
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Incredible breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese. Centrally located, beautiful rooms and wonderful staff. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in years!
- 5/5
Parking valet seems expensive until you try to find parking elsewhere and realize it's even more expensive to park in one of the decks overnight. The breakfast and happy hour wine/cheese was a really fun thing to do each day during transition hours. The room upstairs is so nice with great views. Everyone was very friendly. The location cannot be beat.
- 5/5
Breakfast menu was very fresh and was also different every day. The staff couldn’t have been more hospitable. Parking was easy for drop off and pick up. Happy hour with wine and cheese was a nice touch. I would highly recommend to anyone.
- 5/5
All good!
- 5/5
Our room was beautiful, clean, and pleasantly bigger than expected. We loved the location which was within walking distance to most of the sites we visited. Enjoyed breakfast and afternoon wine & cheese. Our interactions with the staff were all positive. We loved the small details provided at this property to make our stay one of our best experiences.
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent. Well above average hotel fare. Valet service was also excellent
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
The Andrew Pinkney is a great hotel- the staff is excellent, the breakfast was amazing, and the wine/cheese bar was very nice. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
Great breakfast! Lady hostess at breakfast was super nice! Staff at front desk was not very friendly at all. Guy at happy hour not friendly. Room was nice but very small. Probably won't stay there again because of unfriendliness.
- 4/5
The location is exceptional. You won't even need a car. The breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese were very good. I would say don't get the smallest room. There is just not enough space to put your stuff.
- 5/5
The breakfast was very nice, and we loved the cocktail hour. This is our second stay at this property, and we would recommend it.
- 3/5
Did not have car
- 5/5
Great location, very nice room, happy hour a nice toich
- 3/5
Very central location but very loud at night. Bes squeaked, moldy shower curtain, dirty light fixtures. Nice wine/cheese event daily, breakfast was tolerable.
- 5/5
This is a lovely hotel/inn. The great location and polite staff made our stay very comfortable. The room was tasteful and clean, the breakfast as well as the complimentary wine and cheese were served in the pretty fourth floor solarium. We really enjoyed a feeling of luxuriousness but also quaintness during our stay here.
- 5/5
Breakfast menu was fresh and delicious. Social hour was not that great. The AC kept the room cool.
- 5/5
Great location and breakfast with a view. The 4pm wine tasting and city maps in the room were a great touch.
- 5/5
Very cute and clean. Quiet and right in the perfect spot.
- 5/5
yes. all was great
- 5/5
The location is perfect and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great, something different every day. We stayed for seven days. Also enjoyed the wine and cheese in the afternoon. Our room was on the second floor and we feel that we had two separate encounters with a spirit. The only negative I have is the gal behind the front desk could’ve been more inviting and friendly.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Location was perfect, room was pretty and very clean, it was a quiet area and we enjoyed the special moments for guests (pralines, wine/cheese). The valets and those that hosted the wine/cheese hour were very friendly. The front desk staff was not very friendly when we went by the lobby during our stay. They barely looked up from their computer to say hello. A smile can go a long way. There was one front desk staff, however, that was very friendly even at 5:30 am when we left for our flight on Friday. I don't remember her name, but she was very helpful and had a bright personality.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast room is quite nice. Loction great. We both NEVER hve slept in a bedroom or hotel room WITHOUT WINDOW.

This place is a gem. We loved our stay and will definitely return. The staff was amazing, room was great and the location is convenient to everything.
- 5/5
Location was excellent and walkable to everything. Breakfast was varied and filling and the room had a beautiful view. Afternoon wine and cheese was a nice touch. Our room was well-appointed though very close to the elevator and room next door and there was occasional noise.
- 2/5
Most rooms are up about 20 stair, I got help with my bags my husband did not. When we checked out no help to bring bags downstairs. If you like a semi-soft springy mattress this is the place. Location is great but that’s about it.

- 4/5
The location was exceptional! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Our room on the 3rd floor was located under the kitchen and it was loud at 5am when breakfast was being prepared. The hotel is small and does not have great sound proofing. For the price we paid, it was disappointing to not get a good nights sleep.

Loved the room, comfortable bed, large bathroom, air quality clean and the right temperaature.
- 5/5
10/10 no notes. The staff was phenomenal. Breakfast and wine happy hour were great in an amazing sun room. Miss Sophia & Miss Henrietta were worth the stay alone! We will be back!!!
- 4/5
Cute Inn located in a great location. Close to City Market and King Street. Adorable breakfast area surrounded with glass for a wonderful section view of Charleston. A nice add on is the daily wine and cheese reception every afternoon.
- 5/5
Courteous & knowledgeable staff
- 5/5
Now my favorite hotel in Charleston! We visit frequently to see our child, who studies at a local university; this was our first visit where we felt absolutely pampered, comfortable, and looked after. The staff were all fantastically pleasant and helpful, from the valet to the front desk, to the man hosting Wine and Cheese at the rooftop bar. The Pinkneybis close to everything, with comfortable beds, lovely rooms, and a delicious breakfast (quiche, gratin, fresh pastries and biscuits, tea, juice, coffee ). We will return.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff and nice location. The only downside of the stay was the middle-of-the night street sweeper that seemed to go up and down the block two nights in a row at 3ish in the morning.
- 4/5
This hotel is right in the heart of Charleston and it's a beautiful hotel. Very clean and we love the happy hour they offer with meat, cheese and wine. Most of the employees were very kind. Overall, a great experience.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Clean. Room was well temperature controlled. Quiet. Comfortable bed.
- 5/5
First, location, location. great staff, wine and cheese bar, it was fun.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff, with the exception of the front desk, were friendly and helpful. Solarium provided a lovely view and the afternoon wine and cheese reception was a very nice extra. Great location too.
- 5/5
Excellent boutique hotel with an outstanding location, only blocks away from the markets and riverfront. The room was very nice and comfortable, and the updated bathroom was almost spa-worthy. While we were there they're doing construction to improve their valet parking area; not terribly disruptive and scheduled to be done by the end of March 2026.
- 5/5
The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't have a switch to turn it off.
- 4/5
Coffee & cookies offered in reception. Lovely breakfast is included. I would definitely return.
- 5/5
Very nice boutique-style Inn. Location is amazing, 5 min from all main attractions. The room was nice and clean. We liked the breakfast and the late-afternoon wine-and-cheese experience. The breakfast room has a wonderful view of the city. I would recommend this place to stay.
- 5/5
Nice room. Clean and new
- 5/5
Walkable to most things in Charleston. Tucked away in a quiet area away. Staff were very friendly. The morning breakfast with a great view was a plus! Would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Delicious breakfast and happy hour included!
- 4/5
Would help if there was someone to help with the luggage.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with a very helpful staff. The room was well appointed, the bathroom was luxurious, breakfast was yummy with excellent coffee and wine and cheese was a nice extra. The location was perfect! Never had to use the car.
- 5/5
Andrew Pickney in was right next to the market in downtown historic Charleston. So it was very conveniently located was clean and the staff was great.
- 5/5
The location was great. Within walking distance from shops, restaurants and sightseeing. Staff was awesome and rooms clean and beds and pillows were awesome which to me is hard to find. I highly recommend this place!
- 5/5
Staff gave great restaurant recommendations. Room was large and very comfortable. We will be returning for another, longer stay!!
- 5/5
Free wine a cheese hour and free breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Close to everything!
- 3/5
Already raised a complaint on the very tiny bedrooms without any armchair - otherwise good location, welcoming staff, excellent complimentary breakfast. Hotel needs a bar on site
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable! The staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Great staff, spacious room, perfect location!
- 5/5
Great part of town! Easy check-in

- 5/5
very pleasant, helpful staff. great location, enjoyable breakfast and happy hour.
- 5/5
Nice size rooms. Staff friendly. And very nice wine happy hour.
- 5/5
Beautifully appointed room. Front desk personnel was extremely nice and accommodating. Valet service was flawless. The breakfast is delicious and served in a beautiful solarium overlooking the street. Overall my stay was a 10 out of 10!
- 5/5
We loved staying at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. The staff were friendly, helpful and charming. The breakfast delicious and the room very clean.
- 5/5
Room was lovely, spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
The room was lovely, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Andrew Pinckney! We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy rooms which were very well appointed. The breakfast was fantastic, not your usual “free breakfast” fare. I will definitely stay again on our next trip to CHS!
- 5/5
Beautiful room, perfect location
- 5/5
Clean rooms, amazing location, loved the breakfast & wine/cheese hour. Staff very friendly. Overall great experience
- 4/5
Staff, cleanliness of room and location were great. Nice breakfasts too. But…..Expedia doesn’t mention the lack of an elevator under “About this property.” It does state no elevator if you click on “See all about this property.” But an elevator is located in one of the two buildings (the one that is 4 stories and where the breakfasts and wine receptions are held), just not in the building across the street in which we stayed. Our room is slanted down. The bed is located so that your head is lower than your feet. Significantly so. For someone with gastric reflux, this was not good. Changing around the bed and furniture would fix this.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff.
- 5/5
Everything about this lace is special! So clean, happy accommodating staff, lovely well appointed rooms, afternoon happy hour looking out over parts of Charleston fabulous!!! Henriette so gracious, breakfast just perfect to start the day and sit in the warm charming 4th floor gathering room
- 4/5
The staff was courteous. The hostess at the afternoon wine reception and the hostess at breakfast were exceptional. The room was clean. Several of the plantation shudder slats were broken. The shudders didn't want to stay open. The battery in the thermostat was low, so you couldn't change the settings.
- 5/5
Nice room. Breakfast and happy hour on the top floor with a view of the city was enjoyable.
- 5/5
Great location. The breakfast was amazing! Definitely above par for included breakfast compared to other hotels.
- 5/5
I truly enjoyed my stay at Andrew Pinckney Inn. The staff (Brittney, Sabrina, and Drew) were all very welcoming and accommodating. The 24-hour coffee in the lobby, plus the breakfast buffet and the breakfast staff (Cynthia) were wonderful examples of Southern hospitality and charm. My room was clean, cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. The cleaning staff brought me fresh towels and set up my room to welcome me to my “home away from home” every evening, after I returned from full days of tours and sightseeing. I highly recommend staying at Andrew Pinckney Inn, and I will stay there every time I visit Charleston in the future.
- 5/5
Lovely boutique hotel in great location. The room was large with lots of light and a very comfortable bed. Bath was on the small size but nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and happy hour.
- 5/5
Nice, clean room. Great location! Decent breakfast options
- 5/5
This was our first visit to Charleston and my husband and I loved both the city AND our accommodations at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. The Inn is perfectly located to historic Charleston and we were delighted to not have to use our car at all during our stay. From the moment of check in until we left, we found all of the staff members to be friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The concierge steered us to two wonderful restaurants. The facility is historic and charming and our room was nicely appointed and very clean (a must have for me!). Breakfast on the fourth floor was lovely, with a nice view and plenty of choices. And the daily complimentary wine and cheese happy hour was a relaxing bonus after a day of touring and walking. We would highly recommend this Inn to anyone planning a trip to historic Charleston.
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice. The hotel itself had a great location which made it very easy to walk around the town. The rooms were very clean and well kept.
- 5/5
clean room amenities and location
- 5/5
Happy hour was great. The hostess was friendly & helpful! Breakfast was good. Only suggestion would be to work on freshness of the pastries!
- 5/5
The room, breakfast included and staff. Proximity to restaurant's, the waterfront. I would stay here again. The price was not too bad either.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Beautiful room, great staff and wonderful amenities!
- 5/5
Welcoming staff with a complimentary breakfast to begin each day of your stay, along with a wine and cheese reception overlooking the city while you decide which restaurant you want to go to for dinner. The room was cozy and tastefully decorated. Excellent location for walking around the city.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. The staff was kind, the breakfast was delicious, the room was impeccable and the location was perfect.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff. The front desk, valet staff, ladies serving afternoon wine and cheese and breakfast, everyone was really nice. Great location too, we’ll be back.
- 5/5
A truly superb stay, we would love to return to Charleston and stay at the Andrew Pickney again. Besides being a perfect location to walk around the city from, the staff are stellar, kudos to each of them - they are all friendly, intelligent people focused on the guest's experience from check in to check out. The person who checked us in was friendly, welcome and professional and went the distance to wish us a happy milestone anniversary. Both people at the valet parking were super helpful. The room was lovely, comfortable bed, quality linens, plenty of amenities (though we would get a slightly larger room next time). The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, juices, oatmeal, egg dishes and pastries as well as hot beverages. The wine and cheese hour at 4 was a treat, especially because of Barbara, who hosted us for the hour. We were warmly welcomed and treated to her knowledge of Charleston, her super sense of humour and crudité snacks. A truly wonderful experience. We look forward to the next visit!
- 4/5
Nice hotel in a great location. Wonderful breakfast and happy hour. we wished the room was a little bit bigger but it was well kept and clean
- 5/5
The room was clean, the atmosphere and decor were unique and the staff was always helpful and pleasent.
- 5/5
The staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was fantastic for parking, walking and enjoying the City. The rooms were clean and nice. The happy hour wine and cheese were the icing on the cake!! You will love it.
- 5/5
Very clean, quiet, great location, friendly staff! Fits all of the categories!
- 5/5
Spacious room , very clean , I like the old fashioned bar soap and not the liquid soap attached to shower walls so popular today
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, lovely afternoon reception and delicious breakfast. Homey feel for the entire place!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and a good breakfast
- 5/5
Great reception welcome on Sunday 1/25! :)
- 5/5
In the heart of the French quarter where it was easy to walk to everything; people of Charleston are wonderful
- 5/5
Accommodations were excellently appointed. Everyone on staff are top-tier professionals.
- 5/5
Clean room, beautiful building, great location, lovely breakfast and afternoon wine/cheese, convenient valet service
- 5/5
Staff was great, clean and beautiful inn, great location, great breakfast!
- 5/5
Quaint Inn with very attentive, friendly staff. Breakfast was varied and quite well made.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The staff here was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the King suite right over the check in office. I think it’s called the St. Phillipe (?) We were able to walk pretty much everywhere. The market was open but not full as it is “winter” in Charleston. The only thing I would change is maybe a bigger TV and it be a smart TV in that room. The TV was just basic and a little on the small size for that room. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Interior rooms have no windows and dark. Just a block from city market and cariage rides. $28 per day vallet parking. Better than most breakfast. Pricy
- 5/5
Our room was beautiful and clean with a comfy bed. The only thing it lacked was a view but the glass room was just down the hall where we could gawk at the river and skyline. The location is superb and affords easy walking distance to many delicious eateries. Our room was extremely quiet and the valet parking was a piece of cake. Breakfast was only mediocre because they put yummy food under cloches which then sweated the biscuits etc into mush. We'd stay here again despite that.
- 5/5
The staff was spectacular. Cynthia, Mike S. And Drew went above and beyond. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of most places on our list. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious!
- 5/5
Room was clean, and beautiful. It is in a great location close to the Market, shopping and amazing restaurants. It room was a little on the warm side.
- 5/5
Great Breakfast!
- 5/5
the location is very convenient to the Market and various restaurants. would definitively stay there again when we go back
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location. Good sized room, delicious breakfast.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great breakfast, comfy bed, great location
- 5/5
This is the second time I've stayed at the Pinckney Inn. This is my go-to place in Charleston and will continue to be! 10/10 hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent property and location. Could not have asked for anything more. The Inn has that old world charm, with all the modern comforts you need. On site parking a nice plus. On a side note, I was very pleased to see a huge bowl of fresh fruit salad at breakfast. Nice touch for us vegetarians. Special shout out to the lady who makes it. Please never stop making your specialty! Will definitely stay with you again.
- 5/5
buena atención y predisposición + muy buena ubicación
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, walkable to so much Charleston has to offer, amazing breakfast
- 5/5
Ms Cynthia was a lovely lady who tended to the most amazing breakfast we have ever had at a hotel. The food was fantastic and she was the kind heart that started our day

Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, valet was very good... but the breakfast stood out the most. Excellent breakfast here with so many great options... this is not your typical free continental breakfast. This place is well worth the money.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, great location and elegant.
- 4/5
Food crumbs ( not ours ) around the bed frame and close to the walls. Could have been vacuumed better. It wasn’t a big room, so little disappointed in that as well. Expected more. The window view wasn’t very good. Would I stay again? Probably, if I couldn’t get in somewhere else.
- 5/5
This is an older hotel in an older house but it is clean and comfortable with everything that you need. Excellent breakfast with fabulous views great base for discovering Charleston old town.
- 5/5
Very clean property, clean staff friendly and is located on a great spot
- 5/5
Wonderful place! Great location. Fantastic people. Loved the breakfast, wi in e h
- 5/5
Nice clean room, great location and wonderful staff.
- 5/5
Second time at the Pinckney, outstanding service and great location.
- 3/5
This is our favorite place to stay each year with my mother. However, this year, even though I didn’t book the handicap room, we were placed across the street on a street level room and it did not smell good at all. When I called the front desk she said there were no other rooms available and offered housekeeping to come help freshen up, but the scent wasn’t something that would easily need cleaning. It just was the smell of that room.
- 4/5
Easy check in and valet parking. Staff friendly. Breakfast and Miss Cynthia the best!
- 5/5
Check-in was fast and courteous, room very clean and inviting. Staff accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was top notch! Very close to Meeting street ,walkable to restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
Great location. Quiet rooms. Delicious breakfast. Even though the stay was expensive it was still a good value.
- 5/5
Breakfasts were spot on. Nice variety. Customer-focused friendly staff! Thank you!!
- 5/5

- 5/5
The stay was nice only one night.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Location was fantastic. Great Value.
- 5/5
The hotel is quaint, the staff wonderful, and breakfast terrific with plenty of options. The entire stay exceeded my expectations!
- 5/5
Everything about our stay was excellent. Hotel location in center of downtown is very good and walkable.
- 5/5
They stayed in touch to let us know when the room was ready. To all of downtown
- 5/5
Our room at the Andrew Pinckney Inn was impeccably clean. Their breakfast is always enjoyable and being situated in the solarium with a view is great.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, quiet and comfortable. Great value when you consider room rate includes breakfast and a wine/snack happy hour. The $28 fee to park seems a little high but I suspect par for the city.
- 5/5
Great staff and amenities
- 5/5
So many extras…the wine & cheese was nice & the breakfast was lovely…the lady servicing the breakfast area was sweet….room was nice & cool & I loved all the bottled water that was included…location was great for seeing all the sights!
- 5/5
Totally fantastic day. Already planning repeat trip to stay here next year. Staff could not have been kinder. And was quite, comfortable, and safe. Great location close to everything in Charleston.
- 4/5
Clean room, staff friendly
- 5/5
The inn was absolutely amazing. Great location, friendly staff, breakfast, afternoon wine and cookies were amazing additions. Will definitely be back
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly. Loved speaking with Barb at happy hour and Cynthia at breakfast. So nice! Fresh towels every day, too! Great job!
- 5/5
We just loved the Andrew Pinckney Inn! The staff was so friendly! The breakfast in the morning had such a lovely variety. The quiches and pastries were delicious. The place was very welcoming with their cookies in the afternoon and the Wine & Cheese events lin the early evening. This boutique hotel was perfect for both families and couples looking for a getaway in Charleston. The location is great because it’s in walking distance to the Market, carriage rides & restaurants. We loved it!
- 4/5
The only disappointment was the extra charge for the parking.
- 4/5
Great location. Good service, however single room do not have windows.
- 5/5
Sabrina at the front desk was so great! Loved her cookies in the lobby! Great room and location to walk to all things in downtown.
- 3/5
I rate this hotel 3.5 stars due to a mix of positives and negatives. The breakfast was fancier than average, complemented by a great panoramic view from the dining room. The complimentary happy hour was a delightful surprise, where we enjoyed chatting with staff and patrons about the city. The hotel's condition was okay, rooms were clean, and hotel location is excellent. However, our two rooms had no windows, which felt unsettling. While the hotel was clean, the lobby staff could have been friendlier, and parking was a hassle with long waits to retrieve our car. I might look for something else next time.
- 5/5
Friendly, very helpful staff, VERY clean and cozy place! The wine and charcuterie 4-5 on the top floor you won’t want to miss! Such a cute little place right in the middle of everything downtown.
- 3/5
It was quite noisy room the staff was ok. The location is great
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean. Cleaning staff was very nice.

- 5/5
Great breakfast
- 4/5
Great mattress, excellent toiletries, wine and cheese offered free from 4-5:30.
- 5/5
Terrific location ! Room was very clean and had everything you would need . Perfect spot to stay when visiting College of Charleston
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 5/5
The room was immaculately clean. The staff came in daily to clean and supply fresh towels which there was an abundance of. The early evening wine and snack service was especially nice and the staff providing it was especially friendly and knowledgeable of the area restaurants and activities.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and clean. The hot breakfast was tasty & the wine and cheese in the afternoon was a nice touch. There were times when we could hear street noise as our room was on the first floor, right next to the street. The location was extremely convenient.
- 5/5
This is a lovely property with a nice staff. The breakfast has a lot of hot and cold options, and our room was big and quiet. The location is walkable to many restaurants and activities. Overall, very happy with the evening we spent at the Andrew Pinckney.
- 5/5
Nice place. Very friendly staff. Good wine reception and breakfast
- 5/5
The beds were the most comfortable bed that I have ever had away from home.
- 4/5
Everything you need, nothing you don't. Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly robust. Staff were all very nice. Overall a very good value.
- 5/5
Room was clean& beautiful. Staff was very helpful & courteous. Perfect location! We will be back.!
- 4/5
The staff at the desk during Check-in and check-out was amazing!
- 5/5
We loved our room - spacious and very cozy and comfortable king bed. Towels were plush and they replaced towels/made our bed daily - lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious- hot options different every day and the dining area was pretty. Front desk staff excellent and valet Michael was kind and helpful. Excellent experience
- 5/5
The room was spotless. The hotel was a great location. I enjoyed the breakfast and wine receptions!
- 5/5
I booked the Andrew Pinckney Inn last minute and I’m so happy I did! Everything about it exceed my expectations. The staff was so nice and welcoming, the location was superb and the breakfast was delicious! Also, the room was bigger than expected. I have already recommended it to multiple people and will stay there again during my next Charleston stay.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff. Clean. Comfy. Great breakfast. Miss Cinthia who works the breakfast was an absolute sweetheart. Hard working lady with a big smile. She’s an asset.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great location, close almost every thing
- 5/5
First time staying here, very happy with our choice will be back
- 5/5
Walking distance to so many sites, restaurants and the open market
- 4/5
I would have appreciated being I formed that the room had no window. I workday have chosen another.
- 5/5
Everywhere. The complimentary breakfast was better than you’d expect and the complimentary wine/cheese hour was great too. A really nice touch.
- 5/5
Great location, clean and comfortable room/bed. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
So impressed with staff and cleanliness! Will definitely be staying here again!
- 4/5
The valet personnel, Michael and Michael, were both very nice. Rebecca at the check-in desk appeared to dislike her job. Our room was nice, but the housekeeper just rinsed out our mugs and replaced them on the shelf.
- 4/5
Room service was excellent along with variety of food at breakfast. The location of the property is in the middle of shopping and dining. There is no need for a rental car.
- 5/5
Centrally located
- 5/5
You must stay here! Doc is the most amazing host and human. Fabulous on all accounts!!!
- 5/5
Breakfast wasn’t great but wasn’t awful.
- 5/5
Wine and cheese hr Walkable Clean Pleasant staff
- 4/5
Nice staff, very clean room and comfortable bed. Our room was directly below where breakfast was served. Preparation for breakfast started every single day at 5am. Carts moving, dishes clanking etc. Very unpleasant for vacation.
- 5/5
Wonderful location and friendly staff. The top floor room of 3 sides of windows provides a great view of Old Charleston & harbor and is used for breakfast too.
- 5/5
The house keeping, breakfast were great. Had an issue with the bathroom that wasn’t taken care but minor. Located in a very safe area with a lot of option for food and drink.
- 5/5
Staff at breakfast and afternoon wine were wonderful. Very pleasant and attentive.
- 5/5
Very nice place. Convenient location
- 5/5
Great hotel within walking distance to everything…..solid breakfast and wine & cheese at 5pm was a nice touch
- 5/5
Great place to stay in Charleston!
- 5/5
This was a wonderful place to stay! Easy walking distance to anything you want to do in Charleston and complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon! A great stay.
- 5/5
Breakfast buffet is really good. Not your standard hotel breakfast buffet fare at all. Happy hour staff is excellent. Wine and snacks are great.
- 5/5
The staff was very attentive and nice. Having wine and cheese before dinner was great!! Hotel is within walking distance to most things!
- 4/5
Staff were very friendly and service was great. Onsite valet parking was wonderful. Breakfast was good. Location is close to many attractions, shopping and dining options.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel in such a great location, walkable to everything. Delicious breakfast and a fun afternoon reception in their beautiful solarium every day. The staff was amazing, especially Henriette in the solarium. Super comfortable beds and very quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
We had a pleasant stay at Andrew Pinckney, comfortable rooms and they were able to let me check in early. Good proximity to the French Quarter, city market, shopping and food. The breakfast had some good variety, a very nice lady managing the spread. The ‘complimentary bottle of wine’ was pretty small, about 1.5 glasses worth. Valet parking was smooth, they had my car ready with 5 minutes notice. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
The service was great. Everyone was very pleasent. Our room was wonderful. We were upgraded to the townhouse room and it was really really nice. I loved the tub to relax in. The beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was really nice and the server was so pleasant.
- 5/5
Loved our stay there.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Very clean, nice room, super comfy bed and sheets. Breaking was delicious and the wine and charcuterie hour is so nice!!! Walkable to so many things, like the city market, shopping and tons of restaurants. Highly recommend
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the breakfast was great. The afternoon wine and cheese was a great touch also. We will definitely stay there again next time in Charleston
- 4/5
Loved the location and the property. The only reason for a 4 star is if your on the ground level "room 102"
- 5/5
The room was 2 floors which I didn’t expect it to be so large so that was nice. No elevator but I was fine with that. Walkable to King street and all the shops and dining
- 5/5
Wonder breakfast and happy hour every day. Staff was very hospitable. Loved the location.
- 4/5
When we first arrived to the property, we were too early to check in but they did allow us to valet the car. They sent us a text around 3:30 to let us know that the room was ready. I was assuming that we would be staying in the Andrew Pinkney hotel, but we were actually staying across the street in a separate Andrew Pickney hotel space. The room was very nice and we were offered wine and cheese nightly from 4-5:30. They also served FREE breakfast! It is very walkable to all the hot spots and in a safe area. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great breakfast and lication to many activities
- 4/5
Lovely , large comfortable room. Friendly accommodating staff. Convenient location for the historical quarter.
- 5/5
Fabulous location, very handy for everything that Charleston has to offer. Room was super spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and the evening wine and cheese was a lovely touch. Nice to have a fridge, coffee machine and microwave in the room.
- 5/5
The breakfast and location were excellent
- 4/5
Corner room with some traffic to the elevator and rooftop conservatory. Overall, a good stay.
- 5/5
Location, location, location!
- 5/5
Great place to stay really friendly and professional staff.
- 5/5
The Andrew Pinckney was a wonderful stay. Staff was super friendly and in a great location! Very walkable area!
- 5/5
The breakfast was excellent. The staff at the desk could be friendlier and acknowledge guests when they come into the lobby if the hotel. The cleaning staff should be commended for the room cleanliness!
- 5/5
Nice to have breakfast and happy hour wine and cheese included.
- 5/5
Terrific property in super location. Walkable to all popular spots. The breakfast buffet had lots of options (not your average continental breakfast!) and the happy hour was just icing on the cake! Highly recommend this property.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was pleasant and the young lady from Scotland was such a joy to speak with in the dining area. She makes a great cheese board.
- 4/5
Excellent breakfast & wine & cheese reception. Great location! Good housekeeping. Valet service a “C” put my own bags in the car on departure. Otherwise, Good!!!
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly snd helpful. Great location downtown.
- 5/5
The breakfast / happy hour in the room on the top floor with the wonderful food selections, service, and views really our trip to Charleston special. Looking forward to returning.
- 5/5
Perfect hotel - great location! Loved the extras - breakfast, cookie hour and wine/cheese happy hour. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Start to finish it was beautiful. Staff is friendly. Loved the 4-5 wine and cheese
- 4/5
I stayed two nights at the Inn, having moved from another inn that had no common area. I liked everything about it: it was clean, bottled water and coffee maker in the room, warm breakfast and social every afternoon. I'd stay there again. It's very close to King Street, steps from Charleston Market, in the heart of the historic district.
- 5/5
Awesome location wonderful staff, Mike drop!
- 4/5
The two negatives were that housekeeping didnt vacuum or clean the floor. It seems they just made beds, changed towels and cleaned out garbage bags but didn't clean any surfaces. Also, it was very annoying having to valet the car especially when the parking lot was literally directly next to the building. There was no reason to not allow people to just park their own car and get it whenever they wanted to.
- 5/5
Would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were great. It was in the center of very thing in the French quarter. Will return.
- 5/5
Beautiful property! We loved our stay and hope to get back to SC again.
- 5/5
Miss Cythnia who supervised breakfast most mornings was a lovely, friendly woman who made you feel so at home and welcome. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had plenty of room and everything you needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at. I would recommend this
- 4/5
We made a mistake and upgraded to the townhouse which had a sofa bed. This was not comfortable at all and squeaked every time you moved in bed which was not conducive to a good night's sleep. In hindsight we should have stuck with a 2x double room, which I'm sure would have been a better option. It was good to have breakfast included and the food on offer - and the room it was served in - was excellent
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated in walking distance to the City Market. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and updated. Very nice and I would stay here again. I rated comfort 4 stars for one reason alone - I took 2 showers while I was there and neither time was I able to get the water to warm up to barely above freezing. I like hot showers and thoroughly hated both showers because the water would not warm up no longer how long I left it running. To be fair, I was there on business and only stayed one night, so I did not take the time to report the issue to the front desk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so they probably would have at least tried to correct the issue if I brought it to their attention at the time I was there.
- 5/5
Everything thing overall was excellent all but one of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially the woman running the wine and cheese hour. The room was clean and beautiful but the Beth room was ridiculously small. All that being sad the overall stay exceeded expectation and it was a great location to see Charleston.
- 5/5
Outstanding place
- 5/5
The room was beautiful, and the breakfast overlooking Charleston was one of the best parts! The bed was THE COMFIEST bed I’ve ever slept in!! The sheets were so lush and cozy! We loved our stay!
- 5/5
Our stay here was amazing! Our room was beautiful! The breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese was very good! It was very close to everything.
- 4/5
Our Sierra truck was blocked in when we tried to leave the valet parking lot at 5 a.m. for a surgery appointment at MUSC. The concierge on call did a great job! She did everything she possibly could and even had to get a man out of bed to move his vehicle. It was not his vehicle that was blocking us in, but by him moving it, it gave us space to pull out. The concierge said the Manager would make it up to us. Have not yet heard from Manager. Other than that, the stay was pleasant.
- 5/5
This is the second time staying here and this is a nice charming hotel just north of the hustle of the French Quarter. My only complaint was the a/c in 301 did not appear to cool to the desired temp. Great breakfast .I will stay again
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
Great staff and cheapest parking even compared to public parking which was a great surprise
- 5/5
Found the room to be very clean and quite nice despite the lower cost. The valet option was also great and affordable, especially when compared to the paid parking lots around the area. The inn was also in an amazing location, we walked everywhere we needed to go and was able to explore the city and come back still feeling safe.
- 5/5
Do the Valet parking, so worth it. Would stay again.
- 5/5
I loved the historic hotel. I enjoyed the wine and cheese in the evening. It was in walking distance to many of the local attractions
- 5/5
Great hotel!!
- 5/5
Beautiful and clean inn with historic charm and modern amenities. Uber comfortable beds and the term “continental breakfast “ does not begin to describe the wonderful spread they put on each morning. Staff is helpful, attentive and yet not in your face. Completely added to the amazing experience we had in Charleston. Looking forward to staying at the Andrew Pickney Inn on our next visit to Charleston- which is hopefully very soon.
- 5/5
This is a delightful inn that is a perfect option for anyone looking to splurge on yourself in a beautiful city that is easily walkable from the inn. The staff is amazingly courteous and knowledgeable. The breakfast is amazing with fresh fruit, gourmet hot quiches and several other baked good items. We will definitely be back as we couldn’t see everything that Charleston had to offer.
- 5/5
Nice place- staff very friendly
- 5/5
Great friendly staff from the check in to the valet to the breakfast and afternoon w&c hostesses Room quite clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering the location Have stayed here several times and never had a bad experience
- 5/5
Check in desk is across the street, but valet is extremely helpful in getting luggage across and up to your room. Breakfast was delicious.
- 3/5
Bed was fine but use cheap ass pillows. Breakfast food was really poor, but the ambience was nice on the 4th floor. I've had better food @ a Hampton Inn. A/C leaked and we had to put towels on top of coach. Exhaust fan ran all day & night in bathroom. No microwave to reheat coffee or leftovers. Charged $28/night to park car and charged $4/day as a resort fee but there's no resort amenities.
- 4/5
We loved our stay at the Andrew Pinckney! The only issue we had was the room seemed a little hot and had trouble cooling, even when we turned the A/C all the way down. Granted, it was an extremely hot weekend in the middle of summer (July) so that could’ve been a factor. Other than that, all was well and would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel right by the market. Very convenient and the staff was great
- 5/5
Such a charming and comfortable room! Excellent service and very clean.
- 5/5
Close to everything
- 5/5
Great experience, right in the middle of downtown and walking dietance to the market, staff was amazing! I will say to beware when it rains. We had to walk through ankle deep water to get to our room. Obviously no fault of the hotel.
- 5/5
Great location! Nice historical hotel near shopping and great restaurants.
- 4/5
our room was spacious and wine and cheese was lovely as well as great breakfast, location was super!!!
- 5/5
Great stay. Love the rooms and very comfortable.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at the Inn. Perfect location and the price was much more affordable than other hotels nearby. The restaurants that were recommended were great, loved the complimentary breakfast, etc. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
This inn is an awesome higher end value for its great location.
- 5/5
We will stay there again on our next trip.
- 5/5
Had to pay for Valet Parking as there was really no available public parking nearby. However, the Valet service was friendly and helpful, including offering tips for things in the area that I had questions about. The concierge was helpful as well. Very nice place and people.
- 5/5
We just stayed for 2 nights. Room was beautiful and clean. King size bed was super comfy while sheets were luxurious. Wine and cheese daily 4-5 was a nice touch w Barbara being the charcuterie hostess and she was so welcoming to all who attended. Breakfast was excellent with many options and had us full til dinner time! Location was great everything was nearby. We loved it and will be back!
- 5/5
This was a great choice for many reasons. The room was very nice. The location was perfect as it was in walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The staff was nice and the parking valets were great. There was a wine and cheese happy hour that was included which was nice. I would highly recommend this place.
- 5/5
Close to everything you’d want to do- eat- visit. Super clean.
- 5/5
Very clean, quiet, quaint property. Staff is super friendly. Very convenient location.
- 5/5
Modern and comfy old world charm and helpful staff
- 5/5
Quiches, danishes and what an amazing view of Charleston! Andrew Pinckney is within walking distance to everything. There is a $24 valet parking fee, but when compared to your other options, it's worth every penny. Don't miss laughing a night away at The Black Fedora Comedy Club or savoring delicious food and incredible history at the Church and Union. The best part is no driving! This is an Inn with history.
- 3/5
Issue upon arrival management resolved in a timely manner. Inn location good. Staff friendly.
- 5/5
Perfect location, beautiful solarium for breakfast overlooking the city, spacious room with character and charm.
- 5/5
The room was great and modern, the bed super comfortable, exceptional staff, and we loved the full breakfast and daily happy hour!!
- 5/5
Cute hotel great customer service
- 5/5
Fantastic location and concierge service. Beautiful room. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Will stay again!
- 5/5
Always a nice stay there. Great breakfast with a great view. All of the staff is friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Loved the breakfast and happy hour
- 5/5
Excellent and quaint hotel. Great location away from the bustle, but close enough to walk to the major attractions restaurants and shopping.
- 3/5
This was a great location not far from attractions. It was in walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping. Courteous front desk staff - they were great. The breakfast had a great spread each day. The room was a great size, but the shower had mildew and there was mold on the hand-held shower head. The sink drain was slow, almost flooded brushing my teeth. Lastly, the valet person who pulled our truck around on the last day of our trip was rude. He slammed my truck door when I didn't give him a tip. He held my keys hostage in hopes of a tip. We didn't have to drive anywhere, so we only pulled out our truck on the last day of our trip. Didn't appreciate him slamming my door, he is lucky he wasn't seriously hurt during the incident. Would definitely recommend despite a few setbacks.
- 5/5
Loved the hotel, its staff, location, etc.
- 4/5
Unfortunately our room had a very bad smell in it at night, like sewage was coming into the room and very noisy, especially in the morning at 7:00 when the trimmers and leaf blowers started.
- 5/5
Great stay! Valet parking was convenient and the staff was great.
- 4/5
This place is a gem! We walked everywhere, the staff were wonderful and I would recommend this place! It’s within walking distance of nearly everything!
- 5/5
Great location, very nice large room. Definitely perfect place to stay if your visiting downtown Charleston
- 5/5
We liked staying in an older but well maintained hotel.
- 5/5
Will stay here again
- 1/5
Not worth my time!
- 5/5
We arrived at 9pm and staff was quick and friendly we asked if we could check out a half hour later because we had a walking tour and she kindly said no. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean and air condition worked great. Breakfast was good and quick so we could be on our way. This is an old town Inn…. So don’t expect the super fancy ritz…. It’s historic and lovely spot with walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
Lovely stay at the Pinckney Inn. Very comfortable with friendly, helpful staff.
- 5/5
Great location! Walkable to lots of restaurants and shopping. Only 350 feet away from the horse & carriage rides. Free breakfast & wine & cheese were way above what we were expecting. Will be back!
- 5/5
That we could walk to everything.
- 4/5
Great location and proximity to sites. Valet and staff were great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Lots of noise and not very quiet. Could hear everything.
- 4/5
Great location, clean, and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Wonderful place!
- 5/5
Very charming hotel in a convenient area. Great service and amenities including breakfast, bottle of wine in room and daily happy hour. Wonderful and kind staff.
- 5/5
excellent-- very nice hotel great location
- 5/5
Everything was perfect . The location is very good . The breakfast was better than what you expect from hotels in USA . Free bottle of wine in your room and a free snack time at 5 PM every day was a pro . The hotel is clean and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The only negative point is that they charge you a fee for valet parking which could be free .
- 5/5
The building is beautiful. The junior suite was very roomy with excellent temperature controls and a nice large screen TV. The daily wine and cheese was very well done. The included breakfast was substantial and delicious. Staff was awesome. Ty he only minor that might bother some people is that the bathroom is very small. But it’s not a deal breaker by any stretch.
- 5/5
The perfect location! The hotel has the best breakfast that includes views of the area. The beds were comfortable w room service daily. I will tell everyone that I know how wonderful this hotel is and how much I enjoyed staying there.
- 2/5
My room had no exposure to the outside… no window and was a room created inside the hotel . It was noisy with people walking by and I heard doors closing and opening around me. The bathroom was fine. The refrigerator mini bar was right next to the bed and it hummed all night. It was unfortunately quite depressing for a lot of money. I would recommend asking for another room… I was in a hurry as could not get into the room until 4pm and had to be somewhere at 5.
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay. No windows in the room so if you want to sleep in, the sun won’t wake you. Comfortable bed, parking was cheaper than public parking around town. Be prepared to tip the Valets, though. So glad we stayed here!
- 5/5
What a wonderfully relaxing stay. Such a lovely room, delicious breakfast, amazingly hosted wine events in the afternoon, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!
- 5/5
Very nice (and quiet) hotel in the French Quarter,
- 5/5
This is not a five-star resort, but if you are looking for a centrally located hotel for a reasonable price, this was just what we were looking for. Valet parking on the property, friendly staff, clean, good size rooms for being downtown, and better than average breakfast; standard items plus hot items sure as quiche and potatoes au gratten. Afternoon wine and cheese, which is nice in the heat of the day
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
It was the perfect location for what we wanted. It was clean the staff was super friendly and efficient…
- 5/5
Easy access to the old city.
- 5/5
Amazing staff, clean, very comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese!
- 3/5
Everything was average. Some of the staff were friendly, others were not.
- 5/5
Wonderful place. Great location.
- 5/5
Brittany was amazing! Really made us feel at home!!! We enjoyed our stay!!!

Great place to stay ! Great location . Walking distance to many attractions and shopping. Our room had a window but the window was looking Out into the hallway . Had I opted for a more expensive room, I would have had a view of the town. Each morning they offered a fantastic breakfast and every afternoon they offered a cheese and wine tasting. Still very happy!

Great location, great staff, nice wine and cheese reception each afternoon. Would recommend
- 5/5
My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Inn and loved it!! Andrew Pinckney Inn is very clean, the room was quiet and the Inn is located in the best spot!! Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Some general maintenance needed in room - some window frames needed repair, one light fixture held together with duct tape.
- 5/5
Excellent location in downtown. Very close to the market. Exceptional service. Enjoyed the complementary wine and cheese happy hour. Will stay here again when I go back to Charleston.
- 5/5
The hotel was great!! Everyone was friendly and very eager to meet any needs. The complimentary breakfast and wine/cheese hour was an added bonus. The hotel location was perfect for accessing everything in the downtown area by foot. Would highly recommend!!
- 5/5
Fantastic location. Offered wine and cheese gathering in the afternoon which was top notch. Breakfast was delicious. Every staff member we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were cool and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and all the staff were super friendly. If I had to find one thing to say it could be better, the only thing I would say is there was hardly no counter space in the bathroom… It was a single standalone vanity And I struggle to find a place to put all my stuff. It was super convenient to absolutely everything. We walked from the hotel to everywhere we wanted to be. It was just the best Central location we could’ve asked for.
- 5/5
Great breakfast and centrally located! Would definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Great breakfast. Central location. No need for a car.
- 5/5
We had a great time. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location!!!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location, absolutely recommend!
- 5/5
Great location for downtown Charleston but in a quiet street
- 5/5
Quaint little Inn right in the hubbub. Horse carriage rides are across the street, the market was a block away, plenty of restaurants in the area. Hotel was charming, clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back.
- 2/5
Not worth the price charged, Packing is not included, atmosphere is average
- 5/5
Awesome!!!
- 4/5
Very convenient to shopping and restaurants
- 5/5
Lovely property. The staff was great-warm and friendly and helpful. Comfy beds. Spacious room.
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel in a perfect central location in Charleston’s historic district. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive staff throughout. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, with everything clearly well cared for. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this beautiful city.

We had a wonderful stay - staff and service were top notch.

One of the windows glass was broken and I was surprised it wasn’t fixed. The Valet was very nice and accommodating but the woman at the front desk when we arrived have the worst manners, not what I expected of southern hospitality. Rude to be honest. The day we checked out the front desk was very nice so at least that was pleasant. I was so curious about the breakfast and the fruit was amazing. The coffee not so much but the ladies cleaning up were banging the dishes the whole time it was a horrible breakfast experience since we were trying to enjoy the view so we had to leave as soon as possible and took a pastry to go.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the property and would definitely stay here again
- 4/5
A well located property near the historic market. Easy walk to great shopping, restaurants, harbor, College of Charleston and historic homes. The staff were all very nice. The room we stayed in (#101) was small but nice. This particular room had no real view other than the street outside, and it was somewhat sandwiched between the building entrance and the elevator mechanical room, making it a little noisy until everyone was in for the night. I’d stay there again but ask for a different room.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Had an air conditioner problem and maintenance was there in less than five minutes to fix it. Breakfast was always enjoyable with friendly staff. Main plus for the property is the location. We had not car and everything was within a short walk.
- 5/5
Wonderful and attentive staff. Thank you!

Quick, easy trip. Comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Love the breakfast and wine hour.
- 5/5
Nice property. Relaxing stay. Very friendly staff. Price a little high when we booked over a month ago.
- 5/5
Room was great just lots of noise from outside.
- 5/5
The Staff at the Andrew Pinckney Inn are very welcoming and the overall service is amazing. We would highly recommend the Inn for anyone staying in the Charleston area!
- 4/5
Nice place, but had a constant water dripping sound all night in the wall by the bathroom from a drain in a room above.
- 5/5
Great location just 2 short blocks to the market, 1 block to the carriage rides and a number of great restaurants all around. Again this location was great no need for a car here.
- 5/5
We enjoyed every facet of our stay. The reception experience we had with Brittany was professional and friendly. We also had a welcoming experience at the wine and cheese reception each afternoon. Valet parking staff were courteous and prompt. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet.
- 5/5
The Andrew Pinckney Inn is perfectly situated to do it all.
- 5/5
Great location. Really nice breakfast in a wonderful space-top floor solarium with 270 degree views.
- 4/5
Great breakfast every morning Hotel was very clean Nice wine reception in the evening Only issue was we were not advised that when we booked this room that it would be very small and without an outside window.
- 3/5
A nice inn. Well kept and rooms clean. We arrived early and valet took our car and front desk said they would text us when room was ready. While walking about the city we received our text returned only to find that our room was not ready and was told it would be available shortly. They had text us in error So we waiting out side for another hour and a half!! Very upset that one of the girls wouldn’t have made an attempt to expedite our room. Instead they were very disinterested When we complained there was no attempt to accommodate us in any manner for the inconvenience. ( Move us to another room, comp valet??)Also they were not at capacity that evening. It was a Sunday nite. At checkout we were not given a receipt for our stay because we booked through a third party( Expedia ). Curious if that is why no extra effort was given to expedite our room error too.

When we finally made it to our room after this unpleasant encounter, we found it to be just okay—nothing special. However, the plumbing left much to be desired. The toilet required jiggling the handle after every flush, and the tub, which was one of the reasons we booked the room, was not thoroughly cleaned. We had to clean it ourselves before using it. Additionally, getting hot water took over 20 minutes, and the spray handle on the tub seemed to need maintenance. The shower floor tiles also needed a deep cleaning, and hot water took just as long to reach the shower. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. For the same price—or even a little more—you can find accommodations where you’ll be treated with respect and enjoy better amenities, including functioning plumbing.

We went for a girls’ trip and this was the perfect little place in a great location. Lots of things to do and places to eat within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. Cocktail hour and breakfast were great.

Upgraded us to a suite they had ready for us at noon! We left pictures at the hotel and Jeff had no problem mailing them to us. Thank you Andrew Pinckney!

I have never written a review, but this was truly one of my favorite stays anywhere. Location was perfect and quiet. Staff friendly and accommodating, coffee, cookies, wine and cheese all appreciated. Thank Barbara for all your tips.
- 5/5
Loved the wine and cheese happy hour!
- 4/5
We choose this because of the location close to downtown. The room was clean, the bed and pillows super comfortable. It was within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and venues. The tub/shower/toilet area was super tiny and there was no way to turn off the fan so it ran 24/7. A bit annoying at night.
- 5/5
Great breakfast and well equipped rooms
- 5/5
walkable to historic district
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and very helpful

It is a funky old building but in a good way! Room was comfortable. The afternoon wine and snacks was great. The location can not be beat!
- 5/5
Nice rooms, great breakfast with lots of variety. Brittany was very helpful with tips on where to eat, and Michael valet-parked our car. Lots of huge banging sounds, though, in middle of the night starting about 4 am.
- 4/5
This is my second stay at this establishment- first time was a double room shared with a friend on a visit to Charleston This time around with hubby and booked a queen accesible room not realizing what I was booking… the room is handicapped accesible and was comfortable and clean but the closet door wouldn’t close and that would trigger the auto on/ off sensor inside closet whenever there was any hint of movement in the room also this room doesn’t have a window facing outside - just a small window facing the interior walkway with a skylight . This room was considered Accessible but I don’t know if a wheelchair could really make its way easily in this room (411). Besides all that, it’s an excellent stay - newly renovated pristine rooms. perfect location to walk to all the things in Charleston. Friendly management and staff. Great Breakfast offering and lovely wine and cheese happy hour ! I’ll definitely will be returning my next time down in Charleston
- 5/5
Quiet, yet in the heart of downtown. Close to market, shops, and restaurants. Comfortable room and lovely wine/cheese reception, along with a great breakfast, not to mention delicious afternoon cookies in the lobby.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, spacious. The woman who did happy hour was phenomenal, making sure everyone had snacks, wine and a seat.
- 5/5
Andrew Pinckney Hotel is a beautiful and quiet hotel. We especially loved how close it was to everything…things to do, places to eat, and shopping. When we go back to Charleston we’ll definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Lovely boutique hotel located in a prime location for walking to everything. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
- 5/5
We totally enjoy our stay. The hotel was within walking distance of everything in the area. Couple of blocks to the Market and many restaurants/bars. The breakfast was above what we expected. It will be our place to stay next time we come back to Charleston
- 4/5
The location was excellent - walking distance to everything. The breakfast and wine and cheese in the afternoons were great. I really wished that our windows had opened. We had an interior room and it felt difficult to get fresh air. Otherwise everything was wonderful.
- 5/5
The place was absolutely wonderful, quite possibly the best place I've ever stayed in my life. I loved the breakfast, wine/cheese happy hour, and the housekeeping. I would stay there again without hesitation.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Centrally located near the Charleston marketplace and the restaurant/bar areas
