Beautiful hotel. Very clean and super stylish. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very good for an early dinner and some late night snacks. Would definitely stay here again and enjoyed the area too. Close proximity to Keenan Stadium and easy to walk back and forth, even at night. A+!

Beautifully and uniquely decorated hotel, amazingly friendly and helpful staff from the valet to the check-in person to housekeeping. And, since I am "old" (in my 40s), I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the fact that they had a real working phone inside the room. I forgot my toothbrush, and all I had to do was lift the receiver and hit the "front desk" button--just like back in the day! We also ordered room service--it was such a pleasure not having to go downstairs after we were comfy in our PJs after a long day. It has been so long since I've stayed in a hotel with a functioning phone, and that to me was a wonderful amenity. They also had very comfy pillows and the rooms were clean & nice. I would highy recommend staying here if you're visiting Chapel Hill. Thanks!

The location The hotel was chaos when we arrived. Pedestrians scattered all over the inside while we were trying to check in. The hotel lobby bathroom was crowded with non guest and messy. We tried to get a drink at the bar for over 30 minutes and gave up. Our group of 4 had 2 rooms and the restaurant would not accommodate a table for dinner ... at that time there were several empty tables. The room was very small and cramped... a random massive chair took up the majority of the space. We could barely move around. It was expensive and stressful.

The breakfast and the restaurant staff were great. I loved that there was a small gym at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. My boyfriend and I loved the front desk cookies put out every evening too. I also appreciated that we could check in and get access to our room early. The room was a bit small and cramped for two people. The Sunday brunch buffet at the restaurant was delicious but expensive (considering there was no option to order the normal breakfast).

Room phone did not work all week. I could not reach the front desk or concierge. Wake up did not work and almost missed the plane. Sent engineer dept twice and did not work. I travelled alone and very uncomfortable. Admin. said it is o k if I write a poor review since it would not affect them. Also, drawers had a terrible odor and I had to wash everything when I arrived home. A pretty place with uncaring mgt. So disappointed. I need to return and now have to find another place to stay.

Everything was excellent at CI except when I arrived. I was struggling to get my bags out of the car at the entrance and the young male attendant just stood and watched. I am an older woman with hip problems. I finally made it out of the car with my bags with no assistance whatsoever and the attendant continued to stand there watching.

Love the history on site. Our room was too dark with only one tunnel like window and no overhead lighting.

Overall a fantastic place to stay in historic Chapel Hill. The place is gorgeous and after a very long drive from Florida to New Jersey, we had a stop in NC. Glad we chose this place. The restaurant/ bar was very nice and the staff are very friendly. The only suggestion is that I’m not a coffee drinker, so only having a Nespresso in the room, without an option for hot water was a bit disappointing.

This is a classic Chapel Hill hotel. We always love our stay here! Beautiful rooms and lobby! The front porch is always a great place for an evening cocktail! Recent updates look great!

Beautiful property and amazing staff, but this hotel is in need of an upgrade. The pillows were worn out and the walls were super thin, could hear everything. The location and setting are amazing though, so still enjoyed my stay!
