Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with guests expressing both satisfaction and dissatisfaction. While some guests appreciated the cleanliness, comfort, and convenience of the hotel, others were disappointed with the lack of amenities, poor service, and uncleanliness.
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Convenient location close to shopping and restaurants
- Limited or poor breakfast options
- Uncleanliness and maintenance issues

It would have been nice to have some cookware in the room. Had to go purchase some because hotel wanted to charge $50 to rent a set.
- 5/5
Thanks, efficient, local.
- 3/5
Breakfast was poor. Cup of coffee and a cereal bar. Laundry area had dog or cat hairs in some machines. And we found ants in the room with a kitchen. The one great point of this hotel is location.
- 4/5
Shower heads are terrible. You have to dance around just to get wet. Way too wide a spray and no adjustments, hard to rinse off and to shampoo... Forget it. C'mon, people love their showers after traveling and these just aren't enough, I'll go elsewhere just for a decent shower. Will say beds and pillows were comfortable and rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fix the showers and I'll be back

The location was good with plenty of dining options. It was accessible to many business and restaurants. The rooms and hallways had a musty smell and carpet seemed to be worn.

The location. That I had to put my handicap husband on a luggage cart to get him to the handicap room because it was far away from the elevator and he couldn't walk that far, and they had no wheelchair on site.

Very clean, great staff, always help and go beyond for me when they can!
- 5/5
It was a different kind of hotel compared to what I was expecting, but it fit well with my particular wants for this trip. I was told ahead of time that there'd be no daily housekeeping, for example, but I'd intended to ask for an exemption to that, anyway. Staff was polite and helpful and there were enough spare trash bags included that I didn't have to ask for more. Price was good, too (set, I suppose, for longer stays). I'd go to another if the opportunity arises.
- 1/5
The first room they checked us in had a very loud noise, the receptionist tried to convince my husband that nothing wrong with it! We said we can’t sleep in this noise, they showed us another room that is smells. Finally got a better room around 10:30 pm. The first room had a dead cockroach! The second room had behind the night stand Reese cup’s wraps.( I have pictures!). We didn’t try the breakfast because it was pre packed so we didn’t thing it is worth waking up early to grab it! By the way, no shampoo in rooms you have to go down to the front desk to ask for a couple of them. They don’t give you this information when you check in. You go to your room and get in the shower then you will be surprised that there is no shampoo! Only a soap bar.
- 5/5
my favorite place
- 2/5
There are no communal areas, and breakfast is a cart of packaged junk food.
- 4/5
Room was fairly clean. Good coffee
- 3/5
Bathroom sink didn’t drain well - needs to be rodded. Kitchenette sink - one of the knobs didn’t work (not a big deal since we didn’t use that sink much but still not working.). And there were multiple hairs on the sheets! 😳
- 4/5
Good room. Nice staff
- 2/5
Don't even know how to describe it other than OVERpriced for what they are offer. Rooms with smoke detectors ripped off the ceiling, peeling walls, peeling carpets. Does NOT feel like a hotel, and definitely NOT for the price they are getting away with charging. Champaign is desperate for more options, higher quality lodging, and they know it!! They got you by the short hairs, because there's barely anywhere to stay in town for under $400- Ridiculous!
- 1/5
The entire hotel smelled like weed. Our room smelled like someone cooked fish in it. In our room the carpet had crumbs on it in. The window in our room had a crack in it.
- 2/5
Smelled like smoke
- 4/5
it was good
- 4/5
Clean room. Nice staff. Good coffee.
- 2/5
Uncomfortable.
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay the only issue I had was there was no shampoo in their showers
- 5/5
Very clean friendly staff very quiet
- 4/5
It was all good but breakfast is a bit misleading. It was muffin, cereal bar or oatmeal rolled out on a cart. It was fine but not at the same level as what most hotels call a continental breakfast.
- 1/5
Shower was dirty and drain was clogged!! They came and supposedly ”fixed” the drain and left the shower nastier and didn’t want to change our room!! Had to threaten with calling corporate!!
- 1/5
I am asking for refund - hope they dont trouble me.
- 4/5
Friendly front desk staff.
- 3/5
Room was goodstaff
- 2/5
My wife saw also crawling roaches in the bathroom. If we had stayed for more than a day, we would outrightly checked-out the following day after checking-in. For non-smokers, I personally not recommend staying in this place.
- 3/5
The rooms are spacious and they give dishes front desk is nice just has roaches and broken vaccum that dosent work laundry is high and drying tub was dirty when first entering room and so was the sink
- 4/5
Everything was clean....nice kitchen, but had to go to office and ask for anything that one would need to use the kitchen. Would stay again. Appreciate that it is pet friendly.
- 5/5
Super-friendly staff. You all are blessed to have Tabitha on your team!
- 5/5
The room and property was above and beyond what i expected! Everything was nice i will definitely book again
- 5/5
Oscar at the front desk was very helpful !
- 2/5
There was a loud mechanical noise that could be heard in our room throughout the night
- 4/5
The late night check in process was unnecessary. They lock the door and you have to call a national reservation center to confirm your reservation before they open the door. Then the front desk attendant has to come down the hall to open the front desk to check you in. Why don't they lock the front door and have the front desk attendant buzz guests in?
- 1/5
I ordered a handicap accessible room since my husband is disabled and they didn't have one. Gave us a normal room with excuses about how they only have 5 rooms. No hand rails or walk in shower. The night staff was horrible. Day staff were good.
- 2/5
With family did not felt safe here. Smoking smell in every floor. No cleanness!! Someone sitting just outside of the main door n smoking a lot…
- 3/5
Ok for a few hours overnight.
- 5/5
Always enjoy staying at this hotel. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are always clean and well maintained.
- 5/5
Always clean and nice
- 2/5
Traveling through area so just an overnight stay. We booked based on amenities like mini kitchen but it was completely empty of utensils and plates, etc. not even a coffee maker! I guess you could have asked front desk but we didn’t bother.
- 3/5
The grounds was very unkept, which should’ve been an indication to the inside. Carpet throughout needed to be replaced or deep cleaned. Our kitchenette did not come with any items. We would’ve had to obtain anything from the front desk. Wi-Fi was good as was the cable. Overall, a very low in facility will not stay again.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
I thought this place would be better than before but I think it was either the same or worse. My roon was not clean and there may still be a stick of Blistex in the night stand. It came with the room. There were men out front asking guests to give them a ride somewhere. There were people loitering at the side door smoking wherever they could. At times, i just entered the front door because I felt a little safer. People are actually living in the establishment which makes it inconvenient for out of town guests. I did not feel safe. I don't think I will be staying there again.
- 1/5
very dirty, hair in the room, bug like Cockroaches were in the bathroom. Loud noise all night, that i could not sleep all night.
- 5/5
I stay here often when I see my daughter at college. I’m never disappointed.
- 4/5
Quiet and affordable but needs much deeper cleaning.
- 1/5
They had roaches and the white towels looked black
- 4/5
Strong smoke aftersmell, carpets not great, but more concerning was loud arguments at 1am and 3 am Great for quick night's rest if you're too picky.
- 3/5
Wish there was more to breakfast than just snacks grab to go. Please not all clean at front desk when I checked in.
- 5/5
Very nice suite. Clean, spacious, great kitchen. Easy off, easy on to freeway.
- 5/5
The kitchen was pretty neat!
- 4/5
This property honored my stay after it was booked and provided a clean and safe location for my stay in the area.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and clean
- 4/5
Great stay. Nice place
- 1/5
The first room was not clean the beds had makeup on the sheets, bathroom look like it having been clean on a long time, dead bug was in the bathroom sink. The room was a mess. The description doesn’t tell you that it not hot breakfast. Only pick this hotel because of emergency. I will not stay here again. Hotel really need update and best hose keeping staff.
- 5/5
Very hospitable and nice. Made me feel right at home
- 5/5
Quiet
- 1/5
Whole lobby smelled like weed. gave us keys to wrong room where people were staying. when we got in room it smelled like mold and was not clean
- 3/5
TV didn’t not make sounds
- 5/5
Carpet was worn and dirty rest of room was good
- 3/5
The staff were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
Front office staff was very helpful and accommodating during day and evening. Bed in room was too soft and bowed in center. One bit drawback for me was too many residents were smoking weed or cigarettes in their rooms with smells wafting down hallways or coming up from side doors where smokers gathered but propped open so they could get back in easily...
- 5/5
Clean comfortable good internet service.
- 5/5
No issues at all
- 4/5
It was good
- 3/5
While the folks at the desk were nice, this property was old, dirty and loud. The person above us was up all night stomping around for hours. There was no ice and no hairdryer. Will not stay here again.
- 1/5
Thankfully the Expedia agent was helpful and got us our refund.
- 4/5
Stay was comfortable, but our heating and cooling system did not work properly and it gave off a weird odor. Also, when I was pulling back the bedsheets, I thought I saw a bedbug also for there wasn’t much to offer us in the coffee was terrible. stay comfortable for a short trip, but not sure if we would come back, check in with friendly and nice by the staff, however
- 5/5
Nice property
- 3/5
Location is good. Breakfast was below average.
- 2/5
Had to call for a dish pack to the room if we wanted dishes? No dishwasher? How is this considered to be "extended stay" without these amenities?
- 4/5
The free breakfast was instant oatmeal packets, packaged muffins or Nutrigrain bars you grab and go…no dining space. Coffee was always available at the front. Our one complaint would be multiple tech issues with the card key. One day it would open outer door and the next it wouldn’t. Or, it wouldn’t open the room door. Rekeyed several times over our 2-week stay but problem persisted. Lastly, I had no complaints about the cleanliness but our room was on the ground floor and we would see ants now and then on the window sill or the desk nearest the window.
- 3/5
The room smells weed
- 1/5
Bed was a full size instead of a queen. One of the pillows were stained. Bathroom sink drain 30mins after running water in there. Shower water filled up tub while taking a shower. Shower curtain had stains on it. The kitchen soon as you open the door to the room and very small. Air conditioner only works partially when it is on 70. Anything lower than that it would not blow after 20 mins and the room would be warm. Went to the front desk to ask if they had a ice machine, the lady at front desk, she were rude. Not staying there ever again.
- 5/5
It was quiet and clean.
- 3/5
There is no breakfast outside of coffee and few snack bars (which was as advertised)
- 3/5
Location was good. However the cleanliness was bad. Floor was dirty, the elevators were dirty. Bed sheets and towels were ok.
- 3/5
The front desk lady in the morning was very rude. I said good morning it was about a little after 5 am and she had such a frown on her face. I'm like sweetie first thing in the morning and your face is like that. I dont think I want to ever come back there. Furthermore, what happened to complementary breakfast having some food. Like eggs , sausage, and juice etc.
- 4/5
Easy check-in, friendly staff. Quiet and good size room.
- 5/5
Nice place. Close to everything
- 1/5
Absolutely terrible. We arrived late and had to look for the receptionist. After finding a phone to call her, she finally emerged and seemed extremely put-off that she had to deal with us. I had to do all the talking as she barely spoke two words to me. We were exhausted and just wanted to get to sleep, but our room was filthy. Large blood stain that looked like it hadn’t even been washed once was on my bed so I removed it and had to sleep on the dirty mattress cover. There was a large greasy handprint on the kitchen cabinet. The bedside table had not been wiped down because there was a water ring. There were suspicious brown stains on the desk chair. Just disgusting. If it wasn’t so late and I could find somewhere else to stay, I would have.
- 4/5
Close to shopping and restaurants in the area. Not far from the interstate so a cheap option to stop and rest overnight.
- 4/5
Bed was super comfortable.
- 4/5
Pleasant, basic and clean. TV appeared not to work, and I was surprised that there were no cups in the kitchen as I have experienced at other Extended Stays.
- 3/5
It was a decent room for a decent price..
- 2/5
Less than average condition. I observed ants in the room, there is limited service, in order to receive fresh towels you must exchange them yourself with your dirty towels. The self serve “take and go” breakfast area remained dirty, just literally no service at all, lack of communication between receptionist and guest.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly.
- 1/5
Breakfast was horrible, rather they could say breakfast not included! Just few items from grocery store they kept at front desk, and claimed breakfast included!!!!!
- 5/5
Quiet. Convenient for many shops and restaurants..
- 2/5
The staff was excellent and friendly but the bathroom really needs an update. Walls and ceiling are paper thin. I would stay in a pinch but….
- 2/5
Over priced for what you received. Needs updating. Needs to improve its amenities.
- 5/5
The convenience of restaurants and stores are within walking distance. The kitchenette was excellent . I have many food allergies. So, being able to cook my own foods was a definite plus. There is no oven. However, I didn't need one. The front desk accommodated any request ( immediately).
- 3/5
We needed to change room upon check in. Walking into first room had a roach crawling on the wall. Changed room. Front deck was very nice and apologetic.
- 2/5
We heard jumping at 2am and it continued all night long.
- 5/5
We had a late check in and the front desk employee was very friendly and knowledgeable. Beds were comfy and nice to have the grab and go option in the morning.
- 3/5
Adequate for the purpose
- 2/5
Front desk guy with long yellow figure nails was not friendly or helpful at all! Some of the rooms smelled. Hallway smelled of pot!
- 4/5
Close proximity to everything - food, shopping, gas and groceries plus Downtown is only a few minutes away for great entertainment. I would definitely recommend!
- 4/5
Area has everything you need.
- 3/5
Wasn’t very clean. Had to request all supplies for the kitchen, instead of them being stocked. Overall a bit lacking. Especially for what we paid.
- 1/5
The room was still dirty when I checked in was not properly cleaned
- 3/5
This was just your average hotel resort. Nothing special. But had all the amenities of home in the kitchen which was very nice. The free breakfast was nothing more than a small cold muffin or a granola bar. I don't call that breakfast...
- 1/5
My hotel room reeked of cigarette smoke. Someone had been smoking cigarettes in that room prior to my arrival. I could not switch rooms either because the hotel was fully booked for the weekend, as were other nearby hotels. I woke up with a headache from the smell. I was seriously considering just sleeping in my car. Worst experience in a hotel, ever!
- 5/5
Easy to get too
- 4/5
One night with dog. Room was comfortable and clean. Appreciated the fridge with freezer so I could freeze my ice packs overnight. I would stay here again.
- 1/5
Checked in had dirty sheets on bed remote didn’t work to tv so changed rooms and after getting off elevator it’s smelled lik dead body’s the trash room on the 3rd floor had the whole floor stinking and front desk lady said she don’t do it till 3am and it was only 10 pm so we checked out
- 2/5
Smelly room, small and hard beds, zero amenities, ridiculous breakfast offerings, zero customer service, building is old
- 3/5
This place is adequate—no better and in some ways, worse. Almost everything in my room worked (a couple lights didn’t), but all the furnishings, linens, pillows, toilet paper, etc) were as cheap as possible — Dollar Store quality. Smoking is apparently allowed in some rooms, so although I had a nonsmoking room, I could smell the smoke constantly through the thin walls. The bed, thankfully, was good enough to sleep on. The room rate was cheaper than most comparable properties in the area, so…you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
Easy check in. Good value. Comfortable bed and pillows. Would have liked a coffee maker and a hair dryer. No one was at the desk at 630 a.m. so I left our room card keys on the desk. Wasnt sure how to check out.
- 1/5
i have no words. we stayed there and just the stench of the place was enough for me to say “check out right now and we’ll go somewhere else” minutes after entering the room. If u love the smell of cigarettes and must this is right up ur alley. ( not kidding) would have expected this sort of service/cleanliness from a motel 6. the price does not reflect at all what goes on in that place. i literally got chills leaving bc i was just so in shock at my experience.
- 2/5
The stay was disappointing. The hallway had a weird smell to it, as did our room, and the "breakfast" was anything but a breakfast (it was only packaged muffins, flattened granola bars, and some oatmeal). We stayed here because the listing said breakfast was included. Had we known how paltry it would be, we would have stayed somewhere else. The air conditioning unit also made sporadic, loud noises. We did not sleep well at all.
- 1/5
Lobby and elevators were not clean. Room was incredibly outdated and smelled like weed. I immediately walked out after entering and found another hotel down the street.
- 3/5
The first room they gave me was filthy and smelled of smoke terrible, the heater was very loud. Also found a pocket rocket on the floor. Second room was fine. The cost was good
- 5/5
A great affordable stay. The staff members were kind and helpful
- 5/5
.
- 2/5
Very cheap but you charged me $350
- 3/5
We booked 2 rooms through Expedia and thankfully that at least had our reservation but we had to squeeze everyone into one room. There were little gnats in our room which was not great
- 1/5
Stay was great no problems. Check in was a issue. The hotel could not find my reservation. I was told by Irene on a live chat with you guys that. I may have hit the back button after I booked my room? The only thing she could do is cancel my room so I can re book. Payment was made and conformation email was sent. The manager had to look into it and eventually find my booking.
- 3/5
Person at the desk not very friendly, or hospitable. We’ve never stayed in an extended stay. Also website said breakfast. They did not serve breakfast they had coffee and packed muffins. We thought it was a holiday inn express. Will never stay at an extended stay again
- 4/5
I didn't care for the way the front desk agent hollered at me as I exited the elevator at 7:35am asking me if I was checking out. Check out time is 11am also I was speaking to someone else and not at the desk.
- 2/5
Bad service
- 5/5
They are very kind and helpful. Always good service whether long or short stay!
- 5/5
Great place for the price
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful however, my room had a kitchen but no coffee maker, utensils or any thing at all in it. For the price I paid I thought there would be a few things in the kitchen.
- 5/5
We simply needed an overnight stay on a road trip, so we weren't looking for anything except: Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, hot shower, and decent tv channels. We got all of that, plus friendly check in.
- 3/5
It is very ordinary with bare minimum amenities - could not even print tickets - front desk said they needed management permission that was never followed up. Free breakfast is goofy as it is grab and go with oats/hotwater nd muffins.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
The hotel is great, in particular for the price we paid. Absolute sufficient, comfortable and convenient.
- 3/5
Very noisy guests
- 3/5
Nothing
- 5/5
I didn’t like that the guest next to us had a puppy and they were letting it whimper all night long.
- 5/5
Great location
