Extended Stay America Select Suites - Atlanta - Chamblee

Key card and printer not working when we arrived. Initially suggested we come back later, but ultimately checked in and let in room with promise of getting key card later. We never got cards. Next clerk on duty was still on the phone with tech support trying to figure out the problem. Had to leave people in each of the rooms and station more people at exterior exits to get our luggage out next day. No staff in office at 7 AM. This one goes down as on of our top 3 worst stays ever.

Later, Expedia refunded me only $54.95 instead of refunding the full $68.44 that I had to pay at the hotel. I am still short $13.49 because of this issue. This was frustrating because I expected Expedia to handle the hotel payment properly. I would like Expedia to review this and refund the remaining $13.49.

It was in close proximity to downtown. It smelled like cigarettes smoke in the room and people smoking marjuana at the entrance. There wasn’t enough washcloths or towels, although I requested extra and didn’t receive them.

Are very helpful ? ?understanding and goes more then their job to help and make things way more efficient, easier, comfortable doing your stay.

The laminate flooring in the bathroom was bubbling up, hardly attached to the floor. Trip hazard. I walked into the room and then checked out without laying in the bed. I travel for work so I stay in hotels A LOT, I mean this when I say this… I wouldn’t book.

Parking was great room had a slight smell but it was comfortable

Candis and the front desk staff are very nice and accommodating in addition to be personable. They were always smiling and ready to help. The room was clean and smelled good, like a barbershop, don’t mind me I’m weird lol. Plenty of parking and shops near by. You will get your monies worth for sure.

The property was clean, but the elevator went out once and could've used a good mopping and the walls inside and out the elevator. There was a little trash in the parking lot out in the back of property that needed picking up, and the hallway could use better lighting and air freshener, it smelled a little in the hallway. Oh. And better beds for sure. The bed We had was way to small. I end up going to Walmart and getting an air mattress. Other then that, the stay way was ok.

Great location, plenty of stores in the area. Easy checkin Process. Plenty of parking. You get what you pay for. Great price, need major repairs. Elevators an first floor very dirty. You can smell smoke all thru the hallways. Our bathroom sink an tub had cigarette burns on it. Microwave didn’t work.

That’s it was close to the gas station and Waffle House. The guy at check-in was rude, we was working alone. Our room was not clean they just spot cleaned it, we left and came back to a room with roaches. Me and my daughter did not sleep cause we were killing bugs all night. And if we didn’t already book the room and it wasn’t late we would have left. Just EFFING HORRIBLE!!!!

This the hotel is dirty the halls smell like urine. The staff is unprofessional. We had no remote in our room and the ac kept shutting on and off. There was mold in the corner of the shower.

Staff was friendly. There is a need for more staff because it seemed a lot for one person. First room had dead bug but was able to move with ease. There was an advertisement in the lobby of the fee for dishes but found out it wasn't completely true.

They charged an extra 65.00 Twice over what I already paid..after I asked him several times what was the 65.00 for when I was already charged 97.00 for each room plus 100.00 for each room as a deposit in case anything happens to the room ..very un professional

Ms.Candace at the front desk has given me Exceptional Service. I want to thank her for her time. She is very polite and caring. The area is quiet and clean, the rooms are clean as well. I have no complaints and I will be recommend this location.

Well. It says a lot when the hotel employees leave and are no longer available after 10pm. The key card doors don’t lock on the outside doors do not work at all, so whomever can just walk in. This wasn’t a hotel or any extended stay I’ve even been to and I travel for a living the last 7 years. … upon entering the unit there was rust all over the fridge that had been spray painted black. Decided to take a shower since I just worked 12hrs outside. Turned on the light and a spark of blue light came from behind the toilet.. whether this is a camera flash or an electrical blue flash, neither are acceptable. Did my best to ignore this. Deciding to shower at a planet fitness nearby in the am. To then discover roaches just chilling in the hotel. Not afraid of me at all. I didn’t bring roach and didn’t plan on leaving with them either. I was in the hotel a total of 10mins before abandoning my 3 day stay working 12 hr shift.

I would give the property a 8/10 just because the cleanliness of the room. When I walked in the floors were visible dirty as well as the countertops but it was fixed easily. The front desk works especially Tierra we’re phenomenal. The location is literally right of the interstate in a nice area.

There was not a specific area for the dogs to go to the bathroom. It was on the side of a rocky hill with no grassy area. The poop bin was overflowing and there were no dog bags. I paid via Expedia and when I got to the hotel they charged my card again. Said they would take care of it and charged my pet fee twice as well. The room was clean enough and the a/c worked on and off.

I enjoyed my stay and was very comfortable. Room was bare bones but that's what I expected it to be. Room was clean and tidy. Would have liked a hand towel but bath towels and wash cloths were adequate. Overall a pleasant one night stay.

Only liked that rhe property was close by the event that i was stying to attend and it was quiet. I did not like the conditions of the room and that they did not let mr know that there was only a full bed available when i had 2 adults staying, know there was a no refund policy. We we re uncomfortable and dis not rest well.

I booked a stay after on 8/11 close to midnight and paid in full for 2days, 8/11-8/12, because their policy stated that this would guarantee the room. I get there on 8/11 at 5am to check-in and I’m told that I was entered as a no show and the room was no longer available. They said they would cancel the reservation because they didn’t know why I was entered as a no show. I was fully charged for the entire 2 day stay and they will not refund my money. They do not go by their own rules on the Expedia site. I was guaranteed the room because I paid in full and that did not happen plus worst of all they charged me for a room they cancelled!! Expedia should be ashamed. Especially since I found another hotel and booked with them for 8/11-8/12 through Expedia. I’m disputing with my bank now. This felt like such a scam. I’ve used Expedia for years and this experience has end the relationship on a poor note.

Place is just nasty. Loud weekly renters; looks almost like a half way house. Non existent staff that could care less during check in. I would suggest you remove your listing or at least give an advisory. Highly doubt I would return.

The inside was not clean out instantly had a smell to it…..i stayed 6 day’s and i seen 3 roaches the whole time.. the shower curtain needs to be changed i had to shower with the curtain open the whole time trying not to touch it..

I never have any problems at this location. The front office staff are friendly and professional. This is more an extended stay property so only the basics are provided. This property is close to many stores and restaurants. Easy Access to highways.

I like that the hotel is set up as an apartment. I had 1-2 bugs in my room which I didn't like and the shower pressure wasn't strong. I wish the hotel room came with an ironing board & iron.

We had to wait for an hour to get the WRONG room then when we did get our room, it had some maintenance that was started and never finished. We had to push the bed back in place and clean the work area ourselves.

Don’t stay here unless your desperate

The only thing I liked was it was down the street from where I needed to be. I didn’t like that the whole time I was there ppl cars were broken into. It smelled like somebody was growing weed as soon as you walked they the door to get to the elevator. They ran out of towels.

Was not a fan of using the shower because the bathroom floor always flooded with water, and had to clean up daily

I checked in around 9 PM and they changed my room three times. The first 2 times the rooms were open , there was trash leaking from the bag outside the door, it was not clean and someone was already in one of the rooms watching tv. I was just waiting to get to my room and relax but this whole drama took 45 mins before giving me another room. The experience was terrible.

The floors in the hallways are not clean and lots of germs, the luggage carts are nasty. Need to get new towels for guests.

Nothing. It look like a old hospital or nursing home. Extremely cold

Smells of grime, roaches everywhere, sagging and squeaky beds, terrible for what you pay

The room I was in had a very squeaky bed. Other than that, everything was fine. Other stuff were minor and doesn't affect the ratings.

I literally had to carry all my bags no room service so I had to call for sheets

I've stayed at many woodspring suites so naturally you would think they are going to replica their name. Room was horrible, slept like a bag of rocks until i decided to purchase a bed cover to try and get some sort of comfort. Then the room is equipped with a full refrigerator and kitchen. NO KITCHEN WARE WAS AVAILABLE AND THE REFRIGERATOR WAS BROKEN! Worst stay ever and could not wait to return home

It’s dirty and smells awful. People are standing around outside. So uncomfortable that I didn’t stay at that location. Moved to another location.

The room they gave me, was not cleaned from the last residence. There was no covers or pillows on bed, dirty garbage bags everywhere. Old Waffle House on the table. Then I had to wait an hour just to get ahold of someone.

Worst check in experience I ever had....and the heat didn't work in the room, but I had no faith in contacting anyone, because guess what....the desk was closed when I went back down. We left early the next day instead of staying the 2 days I paid for..and "Felicia" stated, as I am checking out, "well there aint any refunds you know"...It took everything in my soul not to respond in an ugly way. Needless to say, I will never stay there again.

Cleaning staff was rude and unkind. I was removed from one room to another. Plus the hallway smelled of weed and was suffocating. They just sprayed it with nasty smelling Aerosol spray. It was thick and nasty. General manager was rude upfront, but became nicer later on. There is a reason why this hotel is only 2 to 2 1/2 stars out of five. You have to get rid of your own trash, and housekeeping does not change or clean the room, except every two weeks. They stated because it’s an extended stay. I’ve never heard of that before, but don’t wanna deal with it again. Never say never, but may not come back here again

I stay one night due to small bed and dirty room, I checked out before the check out time the next day and told the lady I was disappointed and wanted to check out. She stated she could not give me a refund for the nights I did not stay & had a attitude. This place is a rip off ! Stilll havent got in contact with anybody for my concerns or my refund

THIS IS A REALLY NICE PLACE TO STAY AND IN THE CUT FOR PRIVACY THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN,AND SANITIZED I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

Great staff. Very accommodating and caring. Always sought to keep the customer satisfied.

The hotel was very clean and kept up, but offered only few amenities. However it was very clean and the tv was a plus! The staff, the lady that checked me in on February 5th, was super friendly and bluff and professionally❤️

The hotel had roaches. I tried to check out Cancel they told me that I could not cancel They told me I couldn’t exchange rooms I was held hostage I would like a refund of my money now I had to wash all of my items to make sure that I did not bring any roaches home with me because they had roaches in the Hotel

The bed was very small And it was a few roaches But it was OK for it to be last minute

We had the best experience ever! From the moment we walked in, through a power outage in the city, until we checked out, the staff was wonderful! The rooms were very clean, the elevator and hallways were pristine, and the laundry room was impeccably clean. I highly recommend Woodspring Suites to anyone looking for a safe and clean place to sleep!

Hard wood floors over the entire space. Receptionist was very explanatory

My 23 year old son, who is a veteran, was put out of the hotel on the 2 day of his 7day prepaid stay. His PTSD cause him to walk a lot and due to his excessive walking and it was a problem at the hotel. After being escorted off by the police without any problems, the office assisted in making sure that my son got into an Uber safely and to a safe place. I have requested a refund for the 5 nights he did not stay and have NOT received his refund. I have called 5 times and left a message for the general manager and have not received a call or a refund. Please refund my son his money for the nights he did not stay at your establishment.

I would not recommend this hotel unless you want to be up all night , I have never experienced anything like it ! I’ve stayed at hotel that were way cheaper and I was able to sleep ! Found a dirty sponge time we entered the room ! But hey if you don’t need any sleep this is the place for you
