SpringHill by Marriott Centreville/Chantilly

Very convenient to main road, clean hotel, friendly staff. Had one of the best night’s sleep on the soft comfortable bed!! Bathroom needs some remodeling, wallpaper peeling, and continental breakfast could use more meat options than just turkey sausage.

I arrived to check in (after the check-in time started) and there was a customer doing something quite involved with one staff member while two staff members were at another register ignoring me. This lasted almost 30 minutes. I think it was manager instructing a new employee - which makes it even worse because she was teaching the staff to provide terrible customer service. It would have taken them two minutes to check me in. Finally the customer in front of me finishes and my checkin takes two minutes. I get to a nice room and sit down to do some writing at the desk and the chair is broken. I call down to the front desk and ask for another one. Thirty minutes later I called back and the employee barks at me "He's busy." After an hour and a half wait, a man brings a reclining chair that I can 't possibly use for writing. I've wasted two hours and two hundred dollars. I have a manuscript due and had to pay for another hotel room. Terrible, terrible experience.

Bottom bed sheets did not fit the bed. It came untucked and rolled up underneath me as I slept. Breakfast was good. However, the breakfast attendant had a bad attitude. She seemed to be annoyed that the waffle batter ran out. She went to refill it. She did not come back during the duration it took my family to eat. She was the same person who was annoyed when asked to help with the ice machine.

The room was comfortable, and the breakfast options were all good. Our AC was a bit noisy, but the space was nice.

The room lacked a hair dryer, the chair was broken, and the maids only change towels upon request. The beds were fine but the shower curtains were moldy. The shelving for hangers was inadequate. But the food is good and the location is great.

The only problem was the ice machine on the 1st floor (our floor) only worked sporadically. The 2nd floor was out of order.

Breakfast was great, the staff was very friendly especially after the waffle spout popped off in my hand and I made a huge mess. They were very apologetic when I was the one who made it pop off. That there wasn't a public computer. I'm not one of those who check my email on the phone.

My bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Clean lobby Convenience snacks/drink I’m handicapped so a few things. At breakfast, I wasn’t able to drink juice because the juice machine wasn’t on in the gallon. Pictures are too much for me to pick up when they’re full. I wouldn’t have drank out of them anyways because there was a hair on the glass on the inside of the refrigerator blowing towards the open containers. I went to go get ice on my floor. There was no ice. I went down to the first floor and the ice machine hardly worked. He had to press super hard and again I’m handicapped so that is not something that was pleasant. When I went to the front counter to inquire about the ice, I stood at the counter for a good five minutes before I heard laughing and little kids voice is coming from the back room, and when I looked, the employee was totally engaged on his phone, laughing not even acknowledging. I was standing there until he saw me

Parking is okay if this is a concern; for one night, it is fine. For more than 2 nights, try another facility. The laundry room is not maintained, the breakfast is super basic, and the cleanliness is not well-maintained.

The room was very clean and spacious. Bed was very comfy. Parking was safe and convenient. Breakast was warm and delicious. There was a problem with check in due to an error on Expedia's part. However, Surej and Lashon were so very helpful and patient. They deserve 10 stars!!!

Plenty of parking. Felt safe area. Clean. Housekeeping comes every other day. Breakfast reasonable. Choice of hot items, usually sausage or patty and scrambled egg, hash browns and cold options, muffins, cereal, bread, yogurt, etc. Staff friendly. Would visit this location again.

The bed is more queen size or a smaller king. And the pull out sofa was a trundle day bed. Luckily my kids were small enough to fit on the sofa part and the twin bed that pulled out underneath. I was under the impression it was a fold out sofa bed.

We booked a suite for 6 nights, good for 5 to sleep in, breakfast was great although i think they should consider having variety of food, perhaps turkey bacon and fried eggs. Quiet hotel and staff was cooperative. The only thing I didn't like is that housekeeping should be requested in advance, and they were days I would forget so I had to request clean towels and toilet paper, other than that we had a nice stay and the area is very accesible to all restaurants and shopping spots.

It checked all the boxes: safe; clean; quiet; convenient site relative to major routes. The staff was very nice. I wish the table had better task lighting, but if that is my worst complaint, I picked the right place.

Only downside was the Heater/AC made horrible banging noises when it cycled on and off and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was on it's last leg. Overall, after multiple different hotels over the last 2 weeks in that general area, it was by far the nicest especially for the $. Will be staying there again! Noisey Heat/AC system. Bathroom Exhaust fan made horrible noises.

Visitors - next door visitors made to much sound at 3.30 am. And I informed reception but he said I will try, I am not promising to solve this issue. It was weird experience.

The lack of stars is because the toilet wasn’t working properly.The water didn’t shut off so you had to lift the cistern and adjust the flapper. We asked for housekeeping services and didn’t get any. We returned at 8pm to no made bed, no replenished shower gel, no coffee makings, bins not emptied and no clean towels. Went to front desk and all he could provide were 2 hand towels. We stayed overnight. Driving to & from Philly in one day was too much. BUFFET breakfast was thumbs down. NO FRUITS. Eggs were not really hot. Room was comfortable. Shower had lots of grab bars - felt very safe. Front desk, very nice.

This hotel is a good no-frills, affordable choice if you need a place to stay convenient to Dulles Airport and even DC, if you're driving. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are clean, and there is prompt, decent breakfast service. The hotel is tucked away behind the highway, so it's not a walkable area, but it has a ton of restaurants and shops nearby if you have a car (or are willing to hoof it), and it's nice and quiet. I would just add that as a three-star hotel, you're getting exactly what you paid for, nothing more. The property could use a glow-up big time - lots of stains on the carpets, banged-up corners, old fixtures, bad paint jobs, and outdated features. The ice machine on the second floor was out of order my entire stay, and there was a smell emanating from it that took my breath away every time I passed it. I have stayed here a few times and really like the staff - they're really kind and professional - but be aware that some of the clientele can be a bit rowdy, especially on weekends. Again: great property for the basics, easy parking, clean, great staff, etc., but austere.

Breakfast every morning was good. Evening front desk person was not very friendly when we checked in and also charged us again for the room even after showed her it was already paid through Booking.com. Had to ask the day manger to reverse the charge. The house staff only did the rooms every other day, except one time we went 2 days without the room being attended to. Also asked for an additional towel and bath mat for injured person but never received items

Check in was quick and easy. The hotel is not very clean in the halls, elevators and general spaces. Our room was clean when we arrived but we stayed two nights and no one ever came to empty the garbage, bring fresh towels, make the bed or replenish the room coffee. The breakfast was mediocre.

I would have pay 30.00 about 10.00 per hour without rebuttal, but 50.00 was ridiculous. I reluctant paid the fee only to get to the room and find there were small things that may have been overlooked due to the rushed check-in like there were no bags in the trash cans so we improvised, also the tissue box was 4 sheets shy of empty, and the bathroom had only 2 bath clothes when they knew that the room was for a family of 4 but I guess the way they saw it is if you request an early check in then you get what you get. So not a huge issue to them but it was to us because 50.00 is a bit on the pricey side to not be fully stocked with the necessary items. I'm an ex- hospitality worker and small details make all the difference most times. In hospitality everyone knows it the tissue is blue or orange renew the box.

Breakfast was not as expected in a Marriott. They has sausage on Saturday and Sunday. No bottled water in room and if a guest is only staying for two nights the room should and is expected to be clean after the first night. There are standards as to why people choose certain hotels. I was very disappointed in this hotel.

I feel like this Springhill could use some updating especially the bathroom. It does not live up to the Springhill standards. Bed was comfortable. However, the full size hair conditioner and shower gels were completely empty. If those were not filled during cleaning, makes me wonder what else was not cleaned.

Lots of local restaurants nearby - all Asian or Mexican. Requires some navigation to get to. Convenient to the "Smitty" Air and Space Musume as well as Manassas Battlefield Park.

Wry accommodating and helpful as to not working and came immediately to help figure out the issue. Good location

Perfect location outside the exit I-95

Lots of great food options within a few blocks. We normally like the Meat Project, Honey Pig, and Gom Shabu Shabu.

The breakfast menu was excellent. The rooms were spacious. The beds were only doubles so quite small.

There is a separate sitting area with a second tv. There is also a couch with a trundle bed. There is a single table with a lamp and a chair with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and ice container on a counter nearby. The decor was nice and the property had good care with cleaniness, necessities, a laundry facility, fitness area, small snack store, and was in a quiet area with free parking and breakfast. There is late check-in until 11:30pm. The staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival. There are various activities close by and downtown Washington is within 40 minutes. Great place to stay with a reasonable price.

This is my go to place of stay when on business trips in the IAD area. My co worker agrees.

I paid extra for a nicer hotel with a full breakfast and don’t get me wrong the hashbrowns were AMAZING!! But from having to get someone into my room to “reset” my tvs for them to even work and then telling the front desk I didn’t want room service only to be bothered by room service on 3 separate accounts during my stay that wasn’t even the worst part. After staying in my room for 2 days I had friends over and began moving the ottoman for a game night only to discover somebody’s else’s used boxers laying in the corner and goldfish and trash. It was disturbing to say the least my friends were also dissatisfied with how it was handled when we called the front desk to ask for someone to take care of it and was told room service would pick them up the next morning…no thanks for me will not be coming back would rather have paid for an actual clean hotel then waste my money here again.

Property is convenient to restaurants and spa world. Bed was very bouncy and uncomfortable. Body wash was empty. Staff were nice but seemed to be unprepared for the weekend

It was a good location breakfast was very nice rooms were clean. The only complaint I have for the towels were very scratchy. Other than that. It was very nice place would stay there again.

Casual hotel

The location of the hotel was convenient and the staff was very accommodating. The tv in our hotel room was messed up which messed up our ability to watch movies when we were in the room though. Overall it was a nice hotel.

I was riding out a winter storm in a location that would be expected to have a well-maintained exterior, thus avoiding the uneven terrain and hit-or-miss plowing in my neighborhood some miles away. I got what I came for.

It was close to everything we came to visit! SpaWorld is right up the road and so are a dozen odd Korean restaurants. Wonderful experience!

Room was super comfortable and the sofa bed was perfect for what we needed.The included breakfast was awesome. They had lots of selection, hot oatmeal had tons of things you could add to it that I wasn't expecting. Definitely would stay here again.

We have stayed here twice. This visit, we had a broken ice machine on our floor and we had only one roll of toilet tissue in our room for the weekend. Breakfast provided was awesome. We would stay here again.

Check in process was easy

The hotel continues to serve me well. My son lives nearby and this allows me to have time to myself in a nice facility, rather than being wedged in to their home.

Convenient

The water in kitchen sink, bathroom sink and bathtub--all HOT. There is NO cold water running into these pipes. Even the toilet fills with hot water. I was told I should run the taps about 30 minutes, that should fix it. At 9:00 at night, when all one wants is a shower and bed. Unacceptable, unsafe, and HOW does this even happen??

Relativity full for the holiday weekend. Everything seemed to work fine. Slight mix-up in check-in as the room did not match the booking company description. Quickly and easily straightened out. Early morning bath water was interesting. Burning hot and had to be run for 10 minutes to get to comfortable temperature. The opposite of what usually happens.

Beds provided were very small no queen beds. There is no space to walk within the room, rooms are very congested. No covers in the trash bin Bathtub was terrible. Water getting sprinkled outside the tub and the water inside the tub is getting logged. Very small Bath tub. Towells were too small to fit. The extra bed given was very dirty I don’t recommend this hotel for long stays

Nice Environment and good Employees

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful

My only complaint was that the shower didn't work well. Half of the water came out of the shower head and half of the water came out of the tub spigot.

The desk chair was rickety and not ideal for working. The staff was friendly and professional, so that was a plus.

Loved the area around the property. Beds are very comfy. Hot water was great. The front desk man was not nice at all. We had a bit of miscommunication and he was very snappy with me. When you got off the elevator the hallway smelled like strong smoke.

It was fine for one one night stay.

We had a 3 pm check in. Room was not ready and smelled god awful. I feel for the people who got that room. We were switched to another room. After couple hours we went to step out and the door would not lock. I called the front desk and was told there was no one from maintenance working at that time and I should take my valuables with me if we exited our room. Royal inconvenience! Other than that, everything was fine
