To put this into perspective, with the minimum wage in South Carolina being $7.25 an hour, a worker (probably the hotel workers) would need to work over 26+ hours (over 3 days) just to afford one night here, and that’s without even covering the additional cost of breakfast. That doesn’t feel reasonable.

The water pressure in the shower was extremely low. All together, The hotel was nice but the price I've paid for 2 night was too high for the room I've stayed in.

    The front desk staff for check-in and check-out were great--professional, quick, and courteous. But during the two-night stay, housekeeping didn't show up once. The room was on the third floor and the stomping from the room above was loud. The staff during breakfast were average but the evening staff was rude. Apparently, they hate their jobs.

    I was unable to make it due to getting into a car accident. I was still charged for the room $159. I called to see if I could get a refund and left a message for the manager and never got a call back. I normally book here for a getaway and I don’t know if I will again now.

    Mattress was heavily worn to the point where it was not comfortable in the least. I didn't sleep hardly at all. Facility was clean and well maintained. Outdoor fire pit was non functional and covered with a tarp- would have been nice to use it during our chilly stay. Breakfast is available at the bar for additional cost. Prices where very expensive for what you know is not restaurant quality food.

    The people were friendly, but the room cleanliness was not to standard for a Marriott. Upon arrival to our room the bed just didn’t seem as crisp and put-together. It looked like a bad I’d make at home, not the tight sheets and cover of a normal hotel room bed. One of the pillowcases was put on inside out. There was no spare pillowcase for the sofa bed. The back of the bathroom door had stains on it, there was mildew around the bottom of the shower, and the lower shelf in the shower had come off, so they had just painted over it with a paint color that didn’t match the shower install. Since we didn’t arrive from our long travel day until close to midnight, we didn’t contact the front desk. I feel confident if we would have they would have made it right and given us a different room, but we were exhausted, AND I don’t expect to need to ask for a new room at a Marriott. I wouldn’t stay here again.

    A shard of glass from a previously broken object was in the carpet, and I stepped on it, puncturing my foot and drawing blood! Had to wear a bandaid for a few days. At departure, the front desk was unmanned for a half hour and we waited for help getting into the room to pack up and get out; our key wouldn't work an hour prior to "Check-out time." Lobby couches were comfortable and it was quiet and pleasant there for gathering. Beer bottles available in the little store were helpful.

    We understand that the property we stayed at is being renovated. But the staff is very unprofessional, and unaware of everything. We had a long drive the next day and tried to get some sleep, when two doors up from our room was talking banging on the wall all night. The room beside us was noisy though 5am. At 11:00 after trying to sleep I did call the front desk and ask them to check on the noisy rooms. We don’t think they did anything. We are paying customers too, and we’re not happy we anything about our stay. When I mentioned it to the front desk girl in the morning, and she said they have no control over any of the things I mentioned.

    Found out at check in the restaurant was closed again, same problem at same property 10 days ago. No dining options anywhere nearby and is posted that they don’t allow delivery to the rooms so you’re forced to get back in the car and take another drive to find dinner.     The breakfast experience was notable for a rather hectic feeling and the woman in charge apologized for the wait explaining that they were “ short staffed”. The room was a little noisier than most other Marriotts we’ve stayed in; could hear conversations in the adjoining rooms, road noise , etc. Not the typical Bonvoy experience.

    Waited 15 minutes for a girl to come check us in (she was on a personal phone call and once she saw us, she stuttered and asked if we needed something). Bistro wasn’t open (7:20pm). Our TV didn’t work and our room was musty smelling. Went to the pool which is more like a large bathtub. Someone else who was trying there asked the same front desk girl to turn the fireplace on. She took over 20 minutes to come out and turn it on and by that time, the group was tired of waiting and went to their room. Tried to go to the bistro for the morning but they didn’t have fruit, so we left for 30 minutes then came back. Bistro closed again! 9:30 am. I would never recommend this place.

    I just stayed a night with my puppy and it was perfect. The staff was so helpful as I came in with an arm full of stuff and an excited puppy. She checked me in and got me to the elevator quickly because we had been driving for 9hrs at that point. I didn’t hear a soul on my floor even though the parking lot was full so there had to be guests. The room was layer out nicely and roomy for us. The bed was so comfortable we went right to sleep.

    Downsides: we could not operate the tv remote - either we are dense, or they weren’t working. The mini fridge in the room is too small to be practical and barely kept our food chilled. There was no hand soap in the room and last, the glasses there were NOT clean. We would stay there again, overall for the money, it was a nice stay.

    After a long drive was looking forward to a relaxing stay and kickback where I could unwind and partake in some television viewing.     The room had a strange smell and the bathroom had issues. Sink was clogged so didn’t drain properly and shower head didn’t want to work correctly when you tried to adjust it so we couldn’t take a shower. Only stayed for a night so it did it’s purpose.

    My brother and I rented separate rooms. He found other peoples clothing in his room. When I told the manager about it, he felt threatened and told me the best he could do is change rooms. My room there was a constant knocking sound all night and the heating system whenever it kicked in was loud and would wake me up. I have taken pictures of the clothes and how we found them and I have also recorded the sound that I was hearing all night in my room. When I told the manager there, he seemed indifferent and didn’t care less. His last name is Bunch. Very disappointed in my stay expected more as a Bonvoy member.

    Finding a place to stay that has an on site restaurant and bar can be difficult when you are on the road. That being said, we booked this hotel. After being in the car on the road for 10 hours, we were looking forward to a bite to eat and a cocktail. We checked in at 7:45 pm and were told the restaurant was closed today. What??? There was nothing we could do so we ended up having a pizza delivered. Disappointing to say the least. And I paid a higher rate for this hotel over others because we specifically wanted a restaurant and a bar on site. I guess going forward I will have to call to confirm this fact rather than booking online. There was a new girl at the front desk. She and her helper were pleasant and gave us a list of restaurants that were nearby. None of them were in walking distance. When the pizza delivery came the poor guy had to use the stairs to the third floor because the elevator was not working. There is no complimentary coffee unless you use the small machine in the room. And although the kitchen was not open the night we arrived they were serving breakfast items for a fee in the morning. The room was nice, the bed and the pillows were comfortable, but I think there was a giant staying on the fourth floor above us because we heard every footstep he took.

    Like the location. Very clean. The staff was very nice. The bathroom needed a vent and spiders all around the pool area and around the lounge area outside. But loved the clean room. The halls , elevator the lobby nice and clean also the floors. Will be staying again. 💕

    The hotel is wonderful. Clean and comfortable. The Bistro food was good. We did have an issue with plumbing not working properly. We were moved into another room very efficiently. The night manager on duty, Nyerika was extremely helpful making the change of rooms go smoothly.
