This hotel was a no no for me. Toilet was still dirty from the side, had yellow stains. Found a bed bug on the sheets.

I'm not sure how this hotel has the rating that it does, but it shouldn't. We checked in around 4pm and were told there was only one room clean in the basement level. As soon as we got off the elevator, the entire floor smelt like mold and mildew. Once in the room, the smell was the same if not worse. The bathroom door and kitchenette cabinet were dry rotted and fall apart, more than likely from a flood of some sort, which explains the smell. We packed our stuff and ledt at 9pm to make a long drive back home because we could not stay in that room. No refund or accommodations were offered to us due to this huge inconvenience. Avoid staying here at all costs

Most everything was satisfactory considering the price, but it's disappointing the bathrooms in the rooms did not have ventilation.

The room was comfortable and spotless. The Breakfast was very good and fresh. Parking was easy and staff friendly. Pool has been out of order for a while.

Even though I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast it smelled so good. The location was two minutes from my job which is close to many food places hospital and shopping center. The bed was comfortable. The ice machine only worked on the ground floor. Furniture was out of date.

This hotel was tired. The pool was shut down for maintenance, which was disappointing, as well as no TV for a number of hours. The front desk staff was very helpful when I needed to get an extra bed for my son. The furniture in the breakfast room was very worn and needs to be replaced. The room was comfortable.

Most things were fine but the pool was closed down for repairs and they use room key cards that have to constantly be reprogrammed. Staff was good and room clean.

The AC works This hotel has potential. The cleaning staff needs to pay attention to details. This is where the hotel is failing, and the glaring obvious is overlooked. Given that it's pet friendly, all floors should not be used for certain pets, and there should be covering on furniture ( remove for non pet ownersto prevent silage and charge guests whose animals have accidents.

That the pool still had not been fixed and the dining chairs need to be replaced

So this weekend we stayed at the site. None of the ice makers were operational. The pool was out of order. The pull out bed that was in our room was filthy and had a smell. Not my best choice of a hotel but was doable. I hope with the summer months approaching they will get the ice maker fixed.

My stay to was overnight, only, but very good. Check-in was efficient, front desk staff was engaging and helpful, room was quietly buffered from highway noise, clean and very comfortable...mattress, sheets and pillows were top notch. There was a annoying loud family with a pet on the 5th floor with me...not the holtel's fault and they were quiet by late night. Breakfast was really good...better than most of the same type. Plenty to choose from. The folded eggs with cheese were better than the usual dry, watered down egg scramble at most places. The elevator had a quirk, but it was busy and heavily used. Only once chose to use the steps down. Staff told me how to avoid elevator quirk in the future....all good! For the price, this place was great!

The whole place had an awful mildewy smell. The front desk was rude and unhelpful. We booked for 4 days and the housekeeper didn’t come to our room once even though I had called multiple times and asked them to. Literally stay anywhere else!!

I specifically pick this hotel for their indoor pool so I could take my grandson swimming and no notice, but it was closed for no apparent reason. More selection on the continental breakfast would’ve been nice. Same egg omelette each day was a little repetitious. The staff was great the rooms TV shower, hot water bed sheets not so clean.

The breakfast was exactly the same two days in a row, and one of the waffle makers was broken. The pool was closed, with no mention of it on the website. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The room smelled like mildew. Upon further inspection, there were dirt, cobwebs and bugs along the walls. I could tell the room wasn’t properly cleaned because there were dog toys and a half eaten Oreo near the sofa. The sofa bed carriage was literally COVERED in mold and the mattress had so many stains. Complete inconvenience because there were no rooms available and I had to look for a room at another hotel. The good thing was I was able to get a full refund.

The check-in experience was very friendly and quick. Excellent staff. However, the hotel is looking worn and tired. Dirty couches, shredded chairs, damp smelling rooms, old towels, etc. Not worth the $175 per night that we paid. The outside grounds are beautiful and the neighborhood is upper middle class. It's once you step inside that you are disappointed. The pool is closed indefinitely which they don't tell you until after booking. On Saturday and Sunday the breakfast does not begin until 7:00am.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, parking was adequate, breakfast was very good, room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Hard to get much better for the price.

The pool was broke, most ice machines were broke, 1 elevator was broke and the working one would bounce you around floors picking up passengers going up and down before making it to your destination. Breakfast was very nice. Room was spacious.

The pool was closed. One elevator was not working. Breakfast at 7 but I had to be at work at 630 so I did not have an opportunity to try it. Close to the freeway so traffic noise. Older building - some interesting smells down the hallway/stairwells. Front door locked at 10pm. Some interesting folks noted in the parking area at night. My room was clean. Close to hospital and shopping.

However, there was a bad smell throughout, like cleaning supplies covering up odor. Pool was not working, vending area had no machines at all, and the one ice machine I found on the first floor wasn't working. Of the two elevators only one worked and there was usually a wait, so we used the stairs. All the items not working had printed signs that appeared to be in use for more than that day!

I booked it because of the pool but it was out of order as was one of the elevators which made for long waits (I can not do stairs). Breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about.

The toilet didn’t work in the first room. In the second room they moved us to the toilet was rocky and not fixed to the floor.

Room was clean, staff okay, breakfast was good, parking okay. Air condition was not cooling good enough that was the worse part of our staying in this Hotel.

Very nice. The water temp and pressure was fantastic. Didn’t eat the breakfast so I can’t tell you about that… but for the price it was great.

The Hotel needs some major upgrades. It was clean and staff was great, but hotel is dated. It was the least expensive hotel we found, so I guess I got what I paid for.

The room was very comfortable with places to sit and a refrigerator with freezer. Great breakfast buffet. Only one elevator was working which created quite a wait. The swimming pool was out of order. The only place to get ice was on the first floor - all the others were out of order. The staff did keep the lobby area and hallways clean.

The pool was out of order no working ice machines only one light out side there had 6 lights in the parking lot none working. Had to ask of room service we were there 5 nights and then only got trash out and clean towels.Said it was smoke free the weed was bad on Sat night.

When we arrived we were told the indoor pool was closed and only one elevator was working. In our room we found the hide-a-bed frame was rusted and there was rust stains all over the mattress. Over our 4 night stay room service never cleaned our room or refreshed anything. One of the exterior entrances had a broken key card reader and was left unlocked all the time, which meant anyone could come into the hotel at any time. On the last day the hot water did not work at all and we were unable to take showers.

The location was just right for the reason we stayed. The staff was excellent. I was in need of an early check in and possible extension due to weather conditions. They did not hesitate to go above and beyond. And as friendly as can be. Will definitely be staying again

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and well stocked. Our room was next to the highway and we had lots of traffic noise all night long - didn't get a lot of sleep. I don't know if something can be done to buffer the noise. The vanity in the bathroom was needed to be touched up with paint. The pool was out of order and when we got up Sunday morning, the elevator was out of order -- we happened to be on the 4th floor. The dining room needs to be updated - covering on most of the chairs is peeling off. We've stayed at Comfort Inn before and had a great experience, but we won't be returning to the Cary location.

We were told the pool was having maintenance performed and we could not use it. The pool was the number 1 must haves on our list of amenities and it should have been listed as non-working or that there was no pool at all. The continental breakfast was ok. The staff were nice. The lemon water is a very nice touch, nice and cool drink after a very long road trip!! The room could have been cleaner. The facility smelled like feet, the carpets need to be sanitized and professionally cleaned it will help eliminate the odor in the hotel. I didn't get the amenity, the use of the pool, that I paid for.

It was a good location The power was out upon my arrival but this was not explained and no one offered to assist carrying luggage up the stairs. Able TV was unreliable. Internet was slow.

The room was clean and nice. The location was an easy drive to a venue in Raleigh we were attending. The main reason of booking this hotel was because of the indoor pool. Upon arriving and checking in the pool was closed for maintenence. The entire 1st and 2nd floor smelled putrid. Also, the TV would only work about 5 minutes and show no signal. Sometime it would come back on after turning on and off several times.

Rooming with two kids and the tv was out of order and so was the pool. Booked this location for the pool amenity. When I spoke to the front desk about the pool being closed they gave me an attitude and stated it’s on the website. I booked my stay from Expedia not the hotel website. Very disappointed.

The room was nice and clean and the staff that checked us in was very nice and professional. We reserved a room for 6 people including 4 kids. We booked this hotel specifically for the pool, but found out at check in that the pool is closed until at least next week. The Expedia website led us to believe we would have access to a pool and does say anything about it being closed. We also weren't thrilled that there were no pillows available for the pull out sofa bed. We asked the gentleman at the front desk, but he said he could not give us additional pillows and that there is a specific number of pillows in each room. The breakfast was good, so that was a plus!

I had to say “ Excuse me to get his attention “ That’s after a minute of standing there. Then he took a call. I stood there another minute. I went to enter my room & the key did not work. That was my sign to go to another hotel. I was too tired to fight for a refund. Parking lot smelled of cigarettes and there was dog poop everywhere.

This should be know ahead of time as some people, like myself, booked an indoor pool to keep the kids occupied! This was the start of a horrible experience. There was a weird smell throughout the entire hotel and things were bit outdated! We get to our floor and notice our door was open, no room attendant or anything, just left open. Door does not latch well when closing. The light at the doorway was horrible and too dimmed. Lights throughout the room were unplugged and we had to figure out where the outlets were. As we were moving the nightstand and bed to find outlets, we discovered trash underneath the bed. Just overall terrible experience at this hotel. Breakfast hot food was watery eggs, waffles and sausage. Had rotten bananas out. Only water, orange juice, milk, and coffee. Apple juice was out and thats the preference the kids have for breakfast. Luckily we were there only for 1 day. But never again booking this place when we're back in town.

The pool is shut down for “seasonal maintenance”. We woke up to no power, early in the morning. No backup generators. No shower. No breakfast vouchers to make up for the breakfast. Wouldn’t stay again.

I don’t know for how long it has been there and I am sure it wasn’t mine. I got to the hotel before 6:00 pm and, at the entrance door, there was mud, water and dry leaves that continued there until 8:00 am the next day.

The room was clean, comfortable bed, beautiful and very convenient location. But the hotel needs some updating and refreshing. Its looking kinda worn and cosmetic touches like replacing ragged dining chairs, painting scuffed walls and the like are needed.

Older building with broken exterior door locks. First floor had a mildew smell. Stay was nice, breakfast okay.

Hotel needs a good cleaning. Curtains in room were yellowed and stain3d. The duvet had what appeated to be a cigarette burn in it, the shower curtain had mildew on it and the towels were yellow and stained. And there was a dirty sheet on the sofa bed.

Breakfast was ok, pool was not heated. Especially this time of year the pool should be heated.

Dangerous condition in the bathtub - slippery with no tub adhesive mat. The drain did not work properly and there was 3 inches of standing water in the tub after a short shower. I consequently slipped in the tub and landed hard on my jaw and side. I was fortunate to only chip my jaw bone, but could have easily knocked out teeth, broken my jaw more severely, or hit my head and fractured my skull. All tubs should be inspected and repaired for clogged drains and have non-slip mats installed for safety.

My room was filthy when I arrived at 11pm at night. Everything in the room was covered in dog hair. There was dog food scattered around the floor. It reeked of dog urine and old cigarette smoke. The smell hit you soon as you opened the door it was disgusting. I left out immediately and asked for a clean from and was told no I could leave and get a refund so I did. The nasty attitude/ responses along with the nasty room was too much.

Floors in common areas were dirty and needed to be vacuumed. There were cockroaches all in the bathroom. We kept the lights on all night to keep them away. I went to the front counter twice to try to see if someone could spray or something but no one was at the desk. I would have hoped for the price and the area we stayed it would have been cleaner.

We stayed 3 nights this trip, our son lives in the area. They are very friendly and the breakfast team does a great job.

I stay weekly at the Comfort Suites & the staff is always efficient & friendly. The lady that sets up breakfast is so sweet & efficient.

Stayed there because we had 3 kids with us and they had a pool. Pool water was cold and no dry towels to dry off with (there was a towel floating in the pool). Had to go ask for towels. Some towels in the room were stained and very worn (should have been thrown out) Some sheets were stained as well. Dirty sheet on the sofa bed and no pillows. Asked for a few pillows and were denied. He said the bed had enough pillows to accomodate.

Pleasantly suprised by the amount of options and freshness of breakfast. Would definitely stay when in the area again!

We were able to check in quickly even though we arrived late into the night our first night. The staff were all friendly and the housekeeping lady was sweet. My two complaints were that the ice machine on our floor didn't have any type of water dispenser and the fridge in our room had a big of chunk of ice in the freezer that would drip on to things you tried to put in the door. Breakfast only goes until 9am, so I ended up missing it every morning. The room we stayed in was clean, and for the price we got I would definitely stay again.

I walked into the lobby to a musty smell, much like a dirty aquarium. The host finally found my reservation after a few minutes of searching. He gave me my room key and I headed up to my room. The maid hadn’t finished cleaning my room from the previous night. That’s ok I had a meeting to attend. After I got back to the hotel, I was able to get into my room. Later that night there was a fight in one of the rooms above me. I woke to shouting, screaming, and crying. Then furniture was thrown across the room. That was great. The next day I left the building using the stairwell. It has security cameras, but the access control is non existent, anyone could just walk right in and go up to any floor. There was a cockroach on by bathroom wall at one point and a beetle ran across the floor at the same time. The tv was horrible to navigate. When I was checking out the guy at the front desk took a moment to look up as if I was bothering him. All in all it was a below average experience.

I don't think we would stay here again. We stayed because it had an indoor pool but the water was cold, dirty towels laying around (one in the pool) and no fresh towels on the rack. The sheets and towels in the room had stains on them as did the mattress and the hand towels were very old and worn. We asked for a few more pillows because there were none for the sleeper sofa. We were denied and told there were enough on the king size bed to accommodate. The sleeper sofa mattress is like the one grandma used to have on hers 40 years ago. Only 2 luggage carts for this 6 story hotel. They could do better.

Not one but two cockroaches in our room. We had our two young daughters and were already unpacked, so we toughed it out. The next morning upon getting ready in their bathroom another cockroach appeared. I got it on video and had my husband go down an inform the front desk. We were not going to stay for breakfast and wanted some kind of compensation since the main reason we booked was it seemed good off of photos (which were very misleading) and the breakfast for a family of four generally comes to $60 with tip. The response was "Can't do anything" and "should have told us last night so we could move your room." I am guessing they do not understand how cockroaches work because they do not limit themselves to one room. If I could give zero stars I would.

The shower curtain needed to be replaced due to some questionable stains. The sheets and bed spread however looked to be clean. I healthier option for breakfast such as some fruit would have been nice. A muffin, cereal, scrambled eggs, and sausage links were the only things I saw. The kitchen and eating area was, however, very clean.

Unfortunately, this unit was severely run down. The whole hotel smelled musty, and the bottom floor was downright damp. Though the kitchen staff tried, the food selection was pretty dim. The business computer wasn't working, and the desk staff were virtually rude. The hotel simply wasn't very clean.

They have an entire floor dedicated to those who travel with pets. Upon getting off the elevator, the floor smelled like gas or other strong chemicals. The room they gave me smelled like pee and damp carpet. The couch was filled with pet hair. One of the pillows smelled like pee. One of the bulbs in the lamp flickered all night long when it was powered off until I unscrewed it.

This was our second stay here. The first visit, it was OK. Not great but acceptable considering the price. On the second visit, as we checked in I was told that there was a $20 fee because we had a pet. That was not disclosed on the web site and I feel it should have been. When we went down to our room, it smelled bad, the linens were in bad shape, there were stains on the walls and doors and the overall cleanliness was poor. It was obvious that the pet rooms are way below the standards of the nonpet rooms. We will not be staying there again.

The room/bathroom need to be updated, felt dated. Also, room (114) was under the breakfast area so on Saturday, heard chairs moving around at 5:30am.

I was assigned a room on third floor. When I opened the door I saw that the room was not clean. Went back down to lobby with my luggage and was assigned room on first floor. Room was okay but after being in room I noticed there is no hair dryer and I just killed a mosquito. Worst experience ever in a hotel. I can’t wait for morning so I can leave. Old place!

We found multiple roaches in the lobby and by the entrance. We also found a dead one right as we were having breakfast. There is also a very strong and bad smell when you enter the lobby. And the hallways are very humid with no air flow. Our room was fine however the bed sheets did have stains, thankfully there was more layers so i covered it. Overall, management really needs to improve the hygiene and cleanliness of this hotel.

family trip - rented 2 rooms - one room had a musty smell but both had all we needed. A Keurig machine would have been preferred. Beds were comfortable; good A/C. Bathtub was very slippery for any age; no slip-resistant material. Breakfast was decent - typical continental - eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, pastries. Overall, not bad for the price and served our purpose.

My apartment was dirty. On the coffee maker counter there was a dirty piece of an old towel wet, dirt and smelling terrible. I walked barefoot into the bathroom and my feet got dirt. I can not say anything about other services because I decided not to eat breakfast at the hotel.

Our room had a syrup spill on the counter and staff had only cleaned counter area not under microwave. Could smell syrup the moment we checked into the room. Had to clean myself.

Our 7 day stay was very pleasant and the accommodation very clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was ok. The key cards to the room never worked, so we had to ask for new cards every day. Towels were yellow and had obvious stains. The hotel did not have a laundry room and the person at the reception said they were not the ones who listed laundry in the Expedia description. We couldn't use the pool because there was no laundry.

It was fine. Mildew scent throughout. A bit rundown, but okay. 2.5 Stars. The desk clerk was not professional. Feet up, no shoes on his phone.

This hotel and the experience that went along with it horrific. The hotel is very unsanitary and the front desk staff is nonchalant. It’s a stale smell there and the cockroaches are ridiculous. There was no way I could lay down and sleep. I packed my kids and belongs and midnight to find another hotel nearby where the staff was friendly and the place was clean and acceptable.

When we asked the front desk just to run the vacuum in our room, he offered us another room. The room had roaches on the walls. Another room option was putrid, we opened the door, and instantaneously started to gag because of the stagnant smell and the mold. When we informed them, we tried two more rooms, as soon as we turned on the lights, roaches scattered from the microwave and walls. We ultimately didn’t stay because it was simply repulsive. We talked to the front desk guy, he apologized, and was nice. We did have to make other accommodations at a different hotel. The extra cost was a damper on our trip but worth not staying in a repulsive, roach-infested, and mildew scent hotel. I would not recommend to anyone.

If you like using the same damp musty towels for 3 days before a change out is made because the hotel is "eco-friendly" only offering clean ones every 3rd day (which means housekeeping doesn't show to empty trash or freshen up the bathrooms either) you will love it. If you like having to make daily trips to the front desk for toilet paper (because you are only on day one or two of your stay and housekeeping hasn't been by due to the 3 day towel policy) you will love it. If you are fine with a grown man eating breakfast, not just feet from you but IN his BARE feet, you will love it.

I was greeted by a roach in my bathroom when i called the front desk it just rang and rang. My room was not cleaned in the 4 days that I was there. The bathroom shower curtain was mildewed and should be changed to a new one. There is a light bulb out in the bathroom.

I do not recommend! Entire hotel had an unpleasant odor. Front desk staff were less than friendly. Found a bug on my bed. Gnats flying around in the bathroom near the drains. Linen was dingy and yellow, instead of white.

Came for a concert at the Amphitheater which is a 3 minute drive away. Nice hotel. The pool water was a little cold but everything else was nice. Will visit again.

It was a great option if you need a quick overnight. The room was clean and the area was safe and convenient to shopping and highway access. The downside is that it is slightly outdated and there were limited options as far as on site snacks and similar conveniences.
