If I could 0 stars I would!! We had to beat on the forr for 30 minutes for help. They almost wouldn't let us check in after we booked online. When we got in our room there were immediately 2 bugs on the bed of dorty blankets. And the smell! My God it was horrible. And we sound found out why. Someone bowel had apparently exploded in there every day for the century without EVER being flushed. There poop running to floor. We head back downstairs and yet again, no one answered. We had to leave in the middle of the night to pay for another room. Thank God for motel 6, they left the light on and then commode poop free!!!

I like the location The front desk the owner had a bad attitude when it comes to paying she picked at certain people she charged me an extra 150 dollars because that particular room wasn’t pet friendly I thought when a motel say pet friendly that meant all rooms not certain rooms house keeping don’t offer to clean your room neither

There was cigarettes burns in and on bathroom fixture, the tub looked very nasty. Pillowcase had cigarettes burns on them. Television kept going off and on,poorly internet connection. Floor needed to be swept. Last but not lease we asked for clean towels and washcloth which we never received and I went out and purchased some. Also heard dogs barking in room of the guess next door.

Wanted to hate this place and regret my choise. After a shakey start, they rectified all of my concerns. The room was clean but unfinished. The housekeeping staff showed up around 8pm. They were very apologetic letting me know they had issues with the laundry equipment. I would certainly stay here on my next trip from St. Louis to south Florida.

The room was extremally nasty. Smelled of stale smoke. Weed smoke was everywhere. Website said breakfast was included. LIE. Said there was an onsite restaurant. LIE. Bathroom had not been cleaned. There was pubic hair on toilet seat. Bathtub was dirty and dingy. Had to shower with shower slides on my feet. Only reason we stayed was because our flight came in after midnight. Spent the next day looking for new place. This place did not give me my full refund. I will be contacting Ga health dept. This place should be shut down and they should be ashamed of putting false info on the website about the property. NEVER STAY HERE.

I enjoyed myself at this hotel. The people were friendly and it was convenient to interstate 75. But is could use some sprucing up around the pool area and the rooms do need to be updated. All in all, it was Ok for the money value. We used this hotel because we wanted a day away from the house and to spend the day around the pool. Probably will do it again before the summer is over!

This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. What is worse, is this was a family trip. So many out of the way surfaces had obviously not been cleaned in many months. The floor looked and felt more like a carpeted auto shop. The mattresses, if you can call them that, were just wire frames that creaked very loudly and activated pressure points I never knew I had.

The location was nice that it was right off the highway and easy to find. The employees were rude and very unfriendly, and the manager, KP was no exception, she even rolled her eyes at us when we asking questions. The rooms even though it said non-smoking still reeked of smoke, it was very dirty, there were cigarette burns in our comforter and sheets. The towels had stains on them and there was even a dirty used towel left in our bathroom hanging over the shower, and there was even hair left in the drains. The rooms were so dirty we wouldn't even shower there. It also said that breakfast was included but when we went down to get some food there was only a piece of bread left. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

The hotel was the worst representation of a Howard Johnson I have ever encountered. My 14 & 16 yr old sons did not want to stay in the room. The "breakfast" was two urns of stale cereal, a pitcher of warm milk, two slices of old breaqd and three muffin tops. We asked for additional towels - four people were in the room (notified when we registered) and had only two towels. We received a grunt from the man at the front desk when we asked for the additional towels. We did not get the towels. There was a soggy hole in our wall with a lage water stain. The sheets did not fit the mattress correctly and when they pulled off various stains were present. The air conditioner did not blow cold or even cool air the entire night. We did not stay for the second night we had paid for. Please close this location obviously the owners have already done so.

This place was horrible. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel not only was it dirty and uncomfortable but the hotel staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. The electric outlet was hanging out of the wall, shower curtain rod fell down on top of us, water would go from warm to scalding hot then to freezing cold, breakfast was stale, carpets were black, absolutely no housekeeping was available during my stay, only like 10 television channels, and refuse to give extra towels & also over priced and no refunds.

Located behind a brewery in lovely Cartersville, GA, this hotel is one you want to AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The neighborhood is shaky at best but the hotel makes the neighborhood look like Beverly Hills. The hotel is disgusting. There are cracks in the walls outside which means there are likely bugs inside. The air conditioners were all bent up. It is very scary there and I refused to stay there with my teenage daughter and our dog. I have never been so disappointed in my life with a hotel and I've traveled extensively during my time in the military. In my humble opinion, stay away from Howard Johnson Express, Cartersville, GA. By the way, DON'T TRUST THE PICTURES.

My only complaint is that in the pictures of the hotel it showed waffle makers in the breakfast area and there definitely weren't any. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone.
