    We stayed at the Hampton Inn Carol Stream this past weekend, our room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was great, breakfast was hot and tasty each morning. The only complaint we had is that our air conditioning was leaking water all over the floor in our room. We did alert the staff to this, and they had maintenance come up to fix it. Unfortunately the a/c continued to leak all over the floor, so the entire area around the air conditioning and couch were fully soaked with cold water. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay here.

    We also had the fire alarm go off and needed to evacuate building. My room was on 4th floor and the elevator was shut down. Room was clean, comfortable. I didn't have breakfast there.

    Clean rooms Someone went through our room, didn't clean.it. 1st time duffle bag was ope ed.2md time we left the ac was one, when we returned heat was turned up to 86. The food wasn't very good. Was told pool closes at 10, went out side at 1045 whole family in pool. Book a double queen room, was given 2 fulls.

    Only one thing I really can complain the internet actually this place has no on internet in the building so I cannot use tablet laptop nothing so it's a little bit of let down but otherwise I think it's very very nice and very clean and very friendly place and for sure I will come back again

    Free parking is always great. We didn't have the breakfast but was glad it was complementary with the stay. Loved the room. Only down side was the paint peeling on the shower ceiling. Had a fridge and a microwave which was perfect because we brought food to cook while here for s baseball tournament. The lobby was under construction so not ideal. I feel like that should be a disclaimer when you are booking a room. Staff was great!

    I inadvertently made a double booking at the hotel. Travelocity contacted the property to get a refund but Hampton Inn held firm on charging for one night. Travelocity said it was the hotel that insisted on the payment and the hotel blamed Travelocity. The venue was not anywhere near full capacity so I wasn’t keeping anyone from taking the room. Plus, I did pay to stay for three nights—I wasn’t asking for a full cancellation. The hotel was not worth that amount of money.

    Very very noisy. No sleep. People running up and down the halls until 1 am. Could hear the people across the hall opening and shutting doors all night. AC unit in room would not do constant ran(didn’t work) so had to listen to unit go on and off loudly all night. Place being renovated so didn’t feel clean. This was not disclosed at booking.

    Breakfast offered a variety of options for every appetite. Bed was super comfortable, room set up was logical and spacious. Shower had great water pressure. A/C perfect. Staff are consistently helpful and welcoming. They have been currently remodeling when we were there in October 2025 and now still in May 2026, but it doesn’t affect our stay and it enhances the property. This is our go to place as we have family in the area and it’s reasonably priced. We will be back in June 2026 for a family event. The only concern since we were there in October is now we have to put in some personal information to get Wi-Fi. Motels and hotels are going to this more recently as we travel a lot but I don’t like any personal information out there about myself so we went without Wi-Fi. Nice place!

    The rooms looked like they had recently been remodeled (May 2026) and were very clean. The lobby was undergoing a renovation and it was a bit chaotic but there were no real issues. I also appreciate that there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room, however, there was no safe. Parking was plentiful. The only negative thing I can mention is that I was at the hotel 4 days and my room wasn’t made up, restocked, or cleaned the entire time.

    Not a great experience. Building was having remodeling done, outside door was propped open by a rock, bathroom appeared to have been worked on since it was cleaned, with drywall dust on the surfaces, a sticky drink ring was on my end table, and the paint was peeling in our shower. The bed itself was good.

    Everything was fine, but the temp control in room 627 is wonky. It blows out nice, warm air, and then it inexplicably starts blowing out cold air. If we turned it off and then back on, it would reset and start blowing warm again. It would always revert to blowing out cold air, though. We woke up a couple times freezing bc the heater decided to become an AC unit.

    I had just arrived from flying 30 hours. Having stayed at this property before, I knew that it would be exceptional in hospitality, cleanliness, quietness and overall ambiance. I was right. They were 5 stars all the way. They even provided me with menus and a willingness to help get food as they knew that I was exhausted. I’ll come back again for sure. Outstanding job, team.

    This hotel was the cleanest one I've stayed in, in a very long time. The hallways were bright, wide, and with unstained carpet. The rooms were also bright with very clean carpets. The beds were VERY comfortable, as were the pillows. The staff were so easy and nice to interact with. Staff I met in the hallway and breakfast area were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was fresh and most of it was very good. The food was not overcooked and dry. This will be my go to hotel when I need to visit this area.

    This was one of the best hotels that I’ve stayed out. Staff were very friend and hospitable. Check-in was a breeze. The room condition was immaculate. There was no dust or dirt even in the corners. It was very clean. I heard nothing. Zero noise which was surprising because it’s just off of 64. Maybe I’m going deaf, who knows. Slept well, great breakfast and ample coffee. Will come back.

    Staff was cordial, and accommodating. The first room we was assigned on the surface appeared sufficient, but when pulling back the comforter on the side of the bed on the fitted sheet it looked like someone had blown their nose on it or had shot a snot rocket and essentially left it. Was accommodated with a new room, but instead of a king all they had was 2 full size. I’m easy to get along with so I’m there for a short stay I don’t mind it. Me and my woman can make it work in a full size. I myself did not see this but I was studying so she didn’t bother me with it, but the bed we were going to sleep in I noticed she was changing the bed linens. I didn’t inquire until later, but apparently there was a big brown stain on it. The other set was clean appearing. So, thankfully was a 2 bed room otherwise would have had to go back to the front desk. Overall I would go back, convenient to where I was needing to be, but I wouldn’t choose it first.

    We visit "Chicagoland" a couple of times a year to see family. It's hard to balance a budget with safe comfort. Well my friends - THIS location hit every single line on the list! As silly as this sounds, the shower in our room was perfect! Safe flooring (no slip surface), easy to step into as a walk in shower (no balance concerns), plenty of hot water . While right off North Avenue, traffic noise was very minimal! Building was quiet, ice machine that was close by made NO noise (bad experiences). Very pleasant front desk attendant! The free breakfast was well organized and fresh. We WILL be back again! Thank you!

    The type of heating unit they had couldnt keep up with that winter storm and it got to 65 in my room when it was heating to 78. The breakfast was ok, the eggs were really bad though. Tasted like they had been frozen and reheated in the mircowave.

    A couple lights were out. One I changed the front desk said they would change the other one after I left. Stayed Sunday had kids running up and down the hallway for probably an hour. Elevator was out, which was fine but there was no sign saying it was broken. So a bunch of people just stood around waiting.

    The hotel is amazing. The staff were professional and friendly. The room was clean and I couldn't hear noise from the hallway or other rooms. The bed was comfortable and the guest gift bag at check-in was a welcome surprise. Breakfasts were substantial with good variety. I'd stay here again.

    There was not enough food for breakfast to feed the number of guests. Waited for food to come out and then left. Checked back later and still none. Happened both days. Only one elevator worked and waited for 20-30 minutes for it to arrive when we had luggage. Used stairs the rest of the time.

    We had an issue with the heating in our room. The staff very quickly tried to remedy the problem, and when it couldn’t be fixed they quickly moved us to a new room. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Nice variety, and very clean.

    It’s was nice until they held an additional $62 on top of the $50 holding fee. I wasn’t given an explanation and the lady that checked me in was quite rude when I asked her about it. Upon checkout, I had someone different who reassured me that I would be getting that additional money back and she wasnt sure why it took that addition amount. Overall it was a nice stay.

    We usually have a great experience at Hampton Inns, having for many years made them our lodgings of choice. This particular facility is an exception. Cleanliness is marginal and the front desk staff are not particularly welcoming or helpful. The young man in the dining/breakfast area was great, very welcoming, but he was an exception. In future when we need accommodations in the Wheaton area, we’ll choose differently.

    I had an excellent stay at Hotel Hampton Inn Chicago–Carol Stream. The location felt safe and quiet, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and transportation. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast — fresh and satisfying. Parking was easy, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Overall, a wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

    We only stayed one night but, the lady at the desk was very nice when we checked in. The hotel is under construction but, you’d never know. It was clean, quiet and well organized. I didn’t have the breakfast but my fiancé said it was good and they had a good spread. The bed was comfortable and the TV in the room was great. The only issue I had is that room service was banging on the door at 8:45 to clean the room. Check out is at 11.

    The ac wasnt working in the room but luckily it's Oct so it wasnt too bad. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment and it did cause some issues. I wish we had been forewarned about the work, but the staff were very nice and apologetic. Im sure the stay would have been better when all the work is finished. I was mainly bothered by the work continuing over the weekend, behinning at 7:30am on both Sat, Sun, and again on Monday which was a holiday. The workers were literally outside our bedroom window working away and waking us at 730am.

    Very clean hotel! Friendly and helpful staff when needed almost not at all except a question when I got lost as to where I was going because my phone GOS decided at the worst possible moment to stop talking to me. Sigh. First world problems indeed. Anyway great value and a quiet night's sleep. 5 stars and a decent breakfast. Not fancy but enough fuel to get back home again. Bravo!

    Literally the worst hotel room I’ve ever been in. I got sent to a room that had no hot water, was a smoking room that someone tried to cover up with Ozium, the tv didn’t work, the in room phone didn’t work, and the air conditioner rattled the entire night. The front desk was not helpful. I ended up checking out immediately the next morning. It was awful. Never staying there again.

    It is in a quiet area, with some shopping and eating options a few minutes away by car. The hotel is good, clean and fairly modern. The breakfast bar is a bit small, not a lot of options. There is hot food daily, eggs or pre-made omelets, potatoes, and sausage or bacon. Overall a decent hotel.

    Stayed there with a toddler and everything went really well! The pull out couch worked great, the room was very clean (and I’m picky), the room was spacious (which was nice with a toddler), it was very quiet, and it was easy to maintain a good temperature in the room. Check in and check out was extremely easy and every staff member we ran into was super friendly. 5 stars for the morning breakfast as well, probably the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.

    Room was cancelled but I was not contacted. Wilma was extremely rude. She was dismissive and wouldn’t look at me to explain why i was not contacted prior to room being cancelled. She did say it was because she tried to charge my card at 9:00 am. I had no alert of denial and called the bank who stated they had no activity. We arrived at 10:30 that night to find this out and have no place to stay.

    The property and staff were great however my reservation, which I was very particular about and had my booking confirmation (2 double beds), was switched without warning and I was given 1 king size bed. This was unacceptable for my situation. I went back to guest services and showed them my booking reservation and was told it was Expedia’s fault and that was all they had available. I would return to this hotel again but would be hesitant to use a booking service and wish the situation could have been resolved with me getting to sleep in a bed, which I paid for.

    I couldn’t believe how dirty the grounds were and when we got inside near the pool area there was a toxic moldy chemical smell that literally made me ill. I had to leave the hotel. I talked to the front desk about it but they pretended to not smell it. I talked yo other customers at the elevator area and they smelled it too. Honestly wish we could’ve gotten our money back for at least one night. Soo disappointed

    There were several bugs in our room throughout our stay. Pillows were bad, very small. They did not keep the breakfast food stocked, waited over 15 minutes for more scrambled eggs, then the potatoes were gone also and waited a long time for them. Our room was very old and outdated. We were on the first floor and the curtains would not close all the way. Looking at other reviews maybe they are remodeling this location? I hope so it was not a typical Hampton Inn that’s for sure!!!

    All staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. In particular, we dealt with Diana and Wilma at the front desk and Marilu in the breakfast area. We appreciated the fruit basket and coffee/tea available all day. The breakfast was great with a wide variety including cereal, oatmeal, breads/pastries, 2 flavors of waffles, omelets, sausage, potatoes, and 3 juices.

    This is my go to hotel when I’m in this area I know they are renovating rooms but the rooms air conditioning was broken at the bottom and the room smelled of mold and handles were broken on the dresser. Also at checkout the desk lady had looked up my room number to check me out and the room number was under a different name than mine. Which worried me that if someone else was staying in a room under my name would I end up paying for potential damages. This hotel isn’t what it used to be and I hope they get it back together I would hate to have to find a different hotel.

    We arrived after a fest and my elder mom lay down, I went to use the bathroom and there was NO door, it was very awkward, they did remove the pet fee but even in the monrning how awkward with no door, Very suprised at the Hampton for this and water would not go down drain either, Maybe this room was under construction and was not supposed to be in use. I would hope they would comp a nite for this or give a future free night as I usually love the Hampton
