This is a good place to stay. the room was clean and functional. On the negative side, you have to bring bottled water. There is none in the room. Providing just two bottles of water would be welcome. Also, the TV was annoyingly small.

Location, breakfast, the staff, quiet and the bed was so comfortable. The size of the room and most importantly how clean it is. This place has everything you need as far as necessities and more. I don’t have anything that I could say I didn’t like. Only bad thing to say would be leaving.

Great location walkable little town, close to shuttle lot to beach or walk there. Everything you need, quiet other than when VW Expo people showed up wow, LOUD.

Lovely property in Capitola, near the 1. Spacious room, a little patio to sit outside, clean, and I found the bed comfortable. Quiet, didn’t hear folks walking around though we were next to the lobby. Microwave and fridge, coffee in the lobby or breakfast area in the morning. Breakfast is basic hotel fare, waffles, yogurt, fruit and two cereal choices. My kid had some yogurt, but we ended up going to a brunch spot after since we we still hungry. Pool looks a bit worn, could use a good scrub and re-painting. We visit the area often, will come back.

Great mattress and pillows! Such a food night’s sleep. 15 minute walk to Capitola proper. Coffee was horrible in the room and not much better at breakfast. An espresso machine or just some better coffee in the lobby would go a long ways.

Loved the location. Close enough to walk to the village but far enough that it wasn’t busy or noisy. It would have been nice if there was an elevator but it was not necessary since we didn’t have that much to lug up.

You know what, for the money this place Is fantastic. It's clean, quiet and has a good location near Starbucks and Peets. I have recommended it to my friends.

The hotel room is was amazing - clean and comfortable. Had a nice patio. Water pressure was great for the showers. Lots of parking. Quiet area - very peaceful. I would definitely stay again.

The property location was very convenient and closed to the wharf. The outside property is nice and well maintained. The room and the bed is ok. The only problem I have was the TV. TV needs to be updated because it’s too small and the remote doesn’t even work even if I had the front desk changed the battery. The complimentary breakfast is a hot meal of continental breakfast which is nice for them to offer.

Room was clean. The bed was comfortable The breakfast food was good, The refrigerator in the room was very loud. We unplugged it in order to sleep. We plugged it back in before we left. Thru out the night there was a loud noise from what sounded like coming from the roof area, that was annoying.

Our next room had a light burned out over the coffee area and no freezer door. We paid over $600 for 2 nights. I expect more. The size of the room was exceptional! There was also rolled up discarded carpet in the hallway the whole time we were there. I will go back because of the fireplace and size of the rooms. Hopefully things will be better taken care of. Great location. Just a 5 min drive to the beach.

The room was okay for one night. It was little smelly. The person in the front desk was not friendly, but did his job. It was an open space with many spaces for parking. Air conditioner old and outdated, but the area is not extreme weather, so opening the sliding doors with fresh air kept it okay. Breakfast very simple: coffee and breads. In general is good for a short stay overnight with accessible prices for the area.

The downstairs rooms were quite dark. It was confusing as to when they would clean the room we checked in Friday they said day, three which seemed to be Sunday to us, but it wasn’t so we did not have clean towels or bathmat. The breakfast was very decent lots of choices for a small breakfast fruit yogurt, toast, waffles, coffee, and juice. We had a group of people and I wish there had been a room that we could’ve all gathered in to play games and visit the woman in the breakfast room, and the woman at the front desk were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable

The room was spacious and clean. The air conditioner in the unit was loud. Staff was friendly.

Check in was frustrating because I was asked to confirm information that was incorrect. There was no way to delete or change the information and the staff were unable to help. My only option was to confirm an incorrect email address.

Clean rooms! They serve a complementary breakfast in the morning, which is really not a breakfast. They have water down coffee and yogurt for the price that we pay for this hotel. They should’ve been actual breakfast or just don’t serve one

I love this place. I have a particular room that is just really nice and it’s just a very comfortable place to be in, but of course one of the best things about it is the man at the front desk in the morning. He is a delight such a sweet individual. The ability to be able to not use my car and just walk down to Capitol. Village is phenomenal and I feel like I lived there because I go down there so often. If I had my druthers and I wish I did I could buy a place out near there, but these getaways are nice as well because I can do a nice drive and road trip trips are very high on my list of fun.

There was no airflow in the room even though the fan was on. It was very stuffy. My room key stopped working before check out time. Also the Internet stopped working. The desk clerk was not helpful at all. Regarding the Internet, she said I should call technical support. I was getting ready to leave. I did not have the time nor the desire to troubleshoot the hotel's computer system.

The front desk agent was very nice. The room was amazing! I felt like royalty when I entered the room. It was beautiful. Very clean! We weren't able to stay for breakfast because we had to leave very early. The next time I'm in town, I will definitely stay here again.

The staff were super friendly, helpful, but in the room was clean and well stacked Wi-Fi was a little shady, and there weren’t any bath towels in my bathroom, which I didn’t realize until I’ve already taken a shower. I think it’s in the midst of a little bit of a redo since there was carpet and fresh paint in my room area, but overall great value I wish they had a little bit of protein at breakfast, even if it was hard boiled eggs, but it’s a pleasant little hotel and great value

Walls are thin. Got two noise complaints when I had just moved things into my room, only being there for 15 minutes. Manager was kind of rude but nice the next day. Threatened to kick me out on Christmas Eve due to being able to hear me from the lobby. Said all rooms were booked when they weren’t just to scare me.

Staff was A+ and the room was clean and very roomy. Only thing is the tv is too small for how far away it is from the beds.

The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and quiet since it is slow season. The staff that checked me was having a bad day. But the staff the next morning was very nice, warm and inviting. Breakfast was good; eggs would be a great if you can add to the menu. Consider painting the doors and parts of the floor baseboards. They were scuffed up and paint was peeling. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Fantastic location! A great grocery store across the street, close to both the beach and highway. Wonderful restaurants close as well. Very nice staff.

The location of my room did not have any good views and the balcony on second floor was too tiny. If I had known the balcony/patio on 1st floor was bigger I would have chosen that. Also, when using HVAC unit all my allergies acted out, which tells me that the filter has not been cleaned out in who knows how long.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and while the room was comfortable, it had a slightly dark and worn appearance due to the old curtains, and it could have been cleaner. The bathtub had some hair in it, indicating it wasn't fully clean. The continental breakfast offered limited options and could use some enhancement. Overall, my stay was worth the price for that Monday night; however, I found the rate for the following night to be too high for the value offered. The location has great potential.

Mold in bathroom. Old buildings that still smell like cigarette smoke. Not close to anything. The only saving grace is the staff .. super kind and helpful.

The room had a musty smell to it and it was dark (ground floor room). Our patio only had one plastic chair. We asked the front desk if it would be possible to get another chair so two of us could sit outside on the patio, but we were told "no" there were no other chairs. However, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. It served its purpose, but it was pretty no thrills.

Management was extremely rude unprofessional and just unkind. The man accused me of trying to pull something when I asked for some time to check out as I arrived at the hotel at about or past midnight and I needed more time to wake up. He then proceeded to blacklist me from the hotel and I honestly would like my money back because the experience was so bad I'd rather stay in my car as uncomfortable as that may be. I also left a jacket behind with my medication in the pocket and have not gone back to request it or to check if it was in Lost and found because I'm afraid of how this person will behave

Clean, adequate, & mostly safe for overnight stay. There are 3-4, 2-story buildings, each containing about 12 rooms. You enter the building (door is NOT locked) to reach a hall: your room (which IS locked) is off this hall. Front desk clerk was nice. We left before breakfast was available.

Best hotel I’ve stayed at in awhile. Clean, and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. It’s not far from the freeway and some great local spots but it’s tucked back enough that it was quiet. The balcony was a really nice feature too. A great spot to sit and relax and enjoy the weather while at my room.

Very nice place however, the internet was pre 1980s! When we first arrived, we got no service. Later, we were told the facility had an upgrade. It was a 1-800 fix it yourself. We used it but it was barely any better. Most of the time it came up as unsecured. I think the management must have upgraded to the cheapest version possible. If not for this, we would return. As it is, we will not return.

I have Never received a call before at any hotel I have Stayed at, so it was a bit shocking. I informed them that I would be there a little later and was told to access the night door. Upon arrival, the courtesy clerk took me inside so I can sign the documents/get the keys. There was no access to the room from inside the hotel lobby, I had to go around and up some stairs to get to an unlocked door. When I got Into the room, I could Immediately tell that this was an older hotel that was in need of some tlc, however it was quiet and fairly clean. The next morning, I sent the family to get some breakfast while I loaded the car. The kitchen staff acted similarly to security ensuring no one was taking too many of one item. Mind you this “continental” breakfast had No hot food. It was some pastries, a waffle machine and a little bit of apples/oranges. Overall, I was disappointed for the price and the misleading photos indicating this was a great hotel. It was not BAD but it certainly won’t warrant a return trip for my family and I .

Stayed at this location 2 years ago and it was a great experience which lead to me booking for this stay. I will never stay at this place again.

Staffs are very nice. Environment is very clean, quiet (this is a plus because it’s actually very close to highway but without any traffic noise), and room is big. I really like the room setting with plenty of common areas among rooms such that you don’t worry about having a noisy neighbour. Location is very convenient with laundry mart nearby, pharmacy and supermarket just across street. It is also very close to highway entrance so you can get to anywhere easily.

Quality hotels at one time was a good quality hotel, no longer. Room was small & not worth the $130. The breakfast room is like a cold box.

Quaint little place, 10 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz. Clean room, comfortable bed, modern appearance. Good continental breakfast. exactly what I needed for my mountain biking trip to Santa Cruz.

Bed were comfy, two queen room was huge, all rooms had a patio which was nice but the chairs were wet and our upstairs neighbor hung their clothes on the railing which caused the floor to be wet. But it was perfect for an over might stop!

Excellent for family trips. About 20 minutes walking distance to the pier.. near to restaurants and shops. Landscaping its beautifully done. Staff very nice and professional. The price was also great!

I stayed for two nights the second day after coming back from working hard I expected clean sheets on my bed and clean towels in the bathroom, but that did not happen. I had to go get towels from the front office and coffee for my room for the next morning, which would’ve been my last day there. I was informed that I would have to stay at least three full nights in order to get any kind of made service whatsoever so if you’re going for two nights, you better make sure you have enough towels and enough coffee in your room because you will not get made service. Very disappointed with that. If I would’ve had made service, the scores would’ve been a lot better.

The places was filthy. People were working on their cars in the parking lot with oil leaking everywhere. The room was not made and obviously someone had just been resting on the bed with the TV on. It was totally gross.

Everyone was very friendly and the room is comfortable. It is a good choice for people who want to explore Capitola. It is about 1 mile to downtown Capitola with the beach and many great restaurants to enjoy.

Stayed one night only, saw cockroaches in bathroom, shower water was rust colored when turned on, night stand drawer handle was hanging loose due to missing screw, had to use outside stairs carrying our luggage to access our second floor room (no elevators). Couldn’t report these conditions due to hotel office sign advising hotel office closed until 7:30am as we had to check out of hotel at 6:30am. We were not pleased with this hotel.

It was a little tricky finding the Crossroads road to enter the property, there is no street sign.

Pool area is nice but chairs are not too comfortable. Drawback is very loud AC in the room. It woke me up often and rattled while on. Traffic from freeway is loud if you are in the higher level rooms. The price is good for this property. Good value for the price.

Walkable to beach

Convenient to what we wanted in Capitola with out the cramped parking and noise of downtown. We are mobile but elderly and were able to walk down to the beach area for an early dinner and back.
