All staffs are helpful and friendly. Our room was in tip top shape. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Im a hot tub lover so I definitely enjoyed that so was with my Bf. Breakfast was the bonus!!!! We will definitely stay here again.

Beds are so hard my husband and I could not sleep. Felt like sleeping on a box spring with a thin mattress pad thing. We are still sore. Also we stayed on the first floor and it was so noisy sounded like someone was stomping all night. I ordered a crib for my baby granddaughter and it was NOT a crib, it was a pack n play without a cushion, pad, or mattress of any kind. Just the thin nylon fabric over the frame. I will never stay here again. Location not near any food really, not really within walking distance to the beach unless you run marathons for fun. Hotel was pretty clean and parking was good otherwise NOPE not again.

Property was nice and centrally located to just about everything one would need. Staff was friendly and room was spacious and clean. Huge perk of this property was the breakfast. It wasn’t just pastries and yogurt but had hot items as well and it was all very tasty. Would for sure stay here again!

The room was great, comfy bed and bedding, great colors and art. The housekeeping staff(Eva) was friendly and nice and Steph at the Front desk was very welcoming and capable. I loved that there was a microwave in the room and that the room had 2 sinks(1 outside the bathroom). That coffee machine in the lobby is the best! The only thing I disliked was that the jacuzzi wasn’t very warm. We will gladly stay again.

The toilet seemed to be designed for a child-very low and old fashioned. There was no information available for TV channels (Had to scroll all the way threw guide on TV to find anything). Breakfast was very good and enjoyed that amenity.

The location was out of the way and had to drive to get anywhere.

Very good Best Western property. Good location, we had 3 adults the king room with pullout coach. The pull out was the most comfortable we have experienced in a long time. Price was great for the area. I recommend it.

I would stay here again. It is well located and walkable to many places. A full breakfast was available each morning with hot coffee and juices.

Great location. Near stores, shopping. Was a quick drive (actually could have walked) to Capitola beach. Check in was quick, got a chocolate chip cookie checking in. :) Room was clean and comfy. I only stayed one night but will definitely stay again the next time I’m out that way.

I liked this hotel a lot. I think it's a very good value. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was better than I expected with some great, healthy options and I liked the coffee. It includes parking - unlike a lot of the other hotels I considered. There's EV charging as well if you have an electric car. We wanted a hotel with a hot tub and it has a good one (and a pool). It was very quiet. There's a water bottle filler (filtered water) which was great so you don't have to buy bottled water while you stay there. And a free coffee machine/hot water in the lobby. We liked the location as well - it's next door to an outdoor shopping center that has a great restaurant (gastro pub - highly recommend), a movie theatre, a baskin robbins, a huge grocery store where they have great smoothies made to order (also it's near a whole foods), and an orange theory in case you are a member and want to take a class while you were there - the teacher we had there was very good. We walked @ 20 minutes to get to the beach/shops in downtown Capitola which was a nice and pretty easy walk. Overall, we had a great get-away weekend!

My stay here was fabulous, the location was ideal for solo travel (WITH kids lol), the staff were friendly and kind ( my door dash order came without utensils and staff opened the eating area so I could get some). The only down side was the pool being under construction, but the beach was a 6 minute drive, so we made it work. The room was comfortable and roomy enough for the munchkins and I. We will definitely return for another awesome adventure. Capitola is a beautiful, quiet and safe city. It was a peaceful trip for all involved.

The continental breakfast is top notch - equal to any other I’ve had. This was all for a very affordable price. We will stay here every time we are back in town.

Also, the kitchen staff ladies allowed my wife and I to eat and even get an extra biscuit and extra bacon that was already put away. We arrived at 10:03am but the two ladies were so sweet and gracious to us. Muy fantastico.

2 complementary bottle of water per day... The breakfast needs to be improved. The eggs, both fried and hard boiled looked inedible. The made to to order waffles were great as were the bagels. The fresh fruit was good, but didn't come out until we were almost finished eating. The room was beautiful...bed comfortable...only downside in the room was the tv remote which promised many options but only worked on a few stations...which usually had a diferent program than on the schedule

We had a spacious room with lots of counter space and electrical outlets. The bed was great as were sheets, pillows and duvet. It made me feel comfortable because these things were so clean. Breakfast and the ladies that keep it filled were really great. Lots of variety and some interesting temptations elevated breakfast. The bathroom drains were slow, my only negative.

Very clean room, nice amenities, a generous selection at the continental breakfast, and the staff were all very hospitable. Plus, a decent-sized parking lot on the premises, and a tastefully minimalist but still comfortable vibe.

Everything here is great! We always stay here when we come to town, it’s our favorite spot. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are great, and the breakfast is really yummy. Parking is so handy, we love the quiet hours. One of our favorite places to stay!

We were impressed with the size of our room and the options available for breakfast. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We also appreciated having a keurig in our room with good quality coffee. We didn’t get to use the pool amd hot tub, but it looked very nice. The location was also great. Close to many restaurants, shops, and only a 20 minute walk to the water. We would stay here again.

We love the property and the breakfast, but they are cleaning their laundry with harsh chemicals, my daughter’s legs and arms were covered in hives in the morning after sleeping on the hotel sheets. We did not have the same reaction, but if your skin is sensitive I you might want to bring a sheet with you to put on top of theirs. They are definitely clean though, no bacteria can survive after such a chemical treatment 😅

The room was fine - the bed was awful! The mattress needs to be replaced - too hard and mattress edge was very worn on each side. Pillows were hard and lumpy - very uncomfortable - hard to get comfortable. I never slept soundly, was up 5 times during the night. Finally, the air conditioner came on frequently, which woke us up each time. Pool was nice and breakfast was fine, but with the bed so uncomfortable, we will have to find another place to stay when coming to Capitola!

I had requested a quiet room in advance because I’m such a light sleeper, but that didn’t happen!/( I was stuck with the room they gave me and I felt like my needs and request was not considered!m unfortunately.

The bar by the hotel plays music extremly loud and late...was impossible to go to sleep...the floors are very thin so the people above me were really loud when walking...you can hear everything in the hall corridor because the walls are so thin...the continental breakfast served rubbery eggs....overall would not stay again...for the price I expected more.

Great Location. Hotel does need to be updated. The Room that I stayed in needed maintenance. The walls were scratched and needed repair. The flooring scratched and peeling. The bathroom faucet was hooked up backwards. The hallways smell musty. The breakfast room was not very clean and was unattended most of the time.

Excellent customer service.They fixed a problem I had created in booking and were professional, pleasant and extremely helpful. There are extra perks like specialty coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby and breakfast.

Great hotel, staff and breakfast

We booked this room 15 minutes prior to arriving and were happy with the room and closeness to restaurants which were walkable. The area seemed very safe and the free breakfast was the best we’d had on our trip. It offered both hot items and grab and go and even had a free latte machine in the lobby along with free cookies. Will definitely come back to this hotel when in the area in the future.

The hotel was a gem. Easy walk to the main Capitola front area.

Must note is the floors are thin so If you are on floors 1 or 2 you will hear people walking and in the bathroom. Breakfast very good and they have good coffee. Clean overall but wished their sink was in the bathroom. We went for the car week event's, but Capitola beach is a cool little area.

We will definitely stay at this hotel in the future

I would stay here again. The hotel is in town (not near the water), the rooms were spacious, plenty of parking and breakfast in the morning is helpful to get something in the stomach before heading out for the day. They had homemade chocolate chip cookies at the front desk! All in all, it worked out well.

What a beautiful hotel. Our room was amazing! Super clean and quite large. We appreciated the full breakfast offered at extended times. The staff is the best! John, at the front desk was wonderful. He went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. We will definitely be back!

The hotel as clean the bed was comfortable, but it wasn’t quiet. People coming in after 10 you could hear their entire conversations, doors slam, and you literally feel them. There’s a noise in the bathroom, perhaps the air conditioner, that runs 24/7 and sounds like a quiet jet engine. You have to specifically request housekeeping, and although it was clean, and quite large, the whole room had no warmth to it. The reviews also raved about the breakfast…. I’m not sure why. I stayed three nights, and while there was nothing wrong, the cost was a lot for what I got,

Property was great and overall experience was good. The only thing that was an inconvenience was the room not being ready by 3 when check in time starts, had we not had 5 kids in the car it wouldn't have been a huge deal but keeping 5 kids while waiting for the room wasn't fun.

This was my second time here (both short stays) and I've been happy both times. It's clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it just seems like a solid, well-run place. I appreciated that the internet was stable enough for me to take some work video calls. I liked having the water bottle refilling station downstairs.

I wish I could remember the man’s name that checked us in last night, he was a super nice man. We didn't get there until after midnight and he was so nice and welcoming after a long day. He was friendly and efficient. He offered us water and made sure we knew that if we forgot toothbrushes or anything to let him know. He was super nice and a great person to run the front desk as he was very welcoming and sweet.

We were happy to know breakfast was included each day however the area was always messy, the food mildly warm or they were out of most items. The so called gym was a disappointment, they had an only one working machine (an old treadmill) because the other machines had no cord to plug in.

The room was in the front near the lobby so it was quite loud at all hours of the day/night. I also had kids stomping across the floor late at night on July 4th. Other than that - it was a great room, comfortable bed and the kids loved the pool.

Amenities such as the pool/jacuzzi and free breakfast were amazing. Breakfast was great, opened early at 6am with lots of options. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, they even gave us freshly baked cookies upon arrival! Nice little treat (especially for our kids).

The description on this site ways "Sound proof" rooms. (on Hotels.com - not the hotel's site) We had the noisiest room. The concierge said it was the best room they had to offer. It was at the end of a busy hallway. We could hear everyone coming down the hall. The parking lot was right by our window. We could hear the people in the room above us walking around. We had to leave in the middle of the night.

All the staff was great. The hotel is a little dated. Layers of paint covering damage and erosion. Location was a lot farther from the beach than they portray it. No curtains just shutters which didn’t block out the sun breakfast was plentiful but typical hotel quality. Beds were hard but also just typical hotel quality . Parking lot had a couple of sus activities going on and is in the back where I’m sure it isn’t monitored .

This hotel was one step above a Motel 6 except it was $450. I would not come back.

The room was nice and quiet and we loved that the day we used the pool and hot tub no one was there so we were able to enjoy ourselves. Also the fact that the pool was heated was so nice! The staff was very friendly, would definitely stay there again.

I would come back a million times if I could. The water pressure alone was incredible and the tub was to die for. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely spacious. They had several gluten free options for breakfast which was a huge bonus for me. One added surprise was the nesppresso machine in the main lobby so I could have a latte every morning. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Was in a nice area close to shopping and everything youd need or want to do while in town.

The breakfast makes a difference in the stay. Waking up, eating something, then step out into the town. The prices are reasonable as well if you come at the right time.

Walking distance to restaurants and a healthy grocery store next door with various ready to eat meals. Pillows and bed are comfy with a nice couch to lounge on. Nice big pool. Everything was perfect, the bed, the amount of pillows, the room , the water temperature and pressure, the food was always great with everything you need to get your morning started. Only con was that once the sun came up your whole room lit up as the sun rose, not blacked out . Will return again

After a long, action packed day at Santa Cruz boardwalk, it was so nice to check into this clean, lovely, quiet hotel. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in....and the complimentary cookie is such a sweet touch.

Conveniently located, well-maintained, friendly staff, free coffee, nice pool, good breakfast -- all you want for a short getaway trip to Capitola / Santa Cruz area.

I think this hotel had a recent facelift/refresh and they did a great job! The ambiance is really nice. The rooms are better than average. The bed was great and the breakfast was really well done. We don't usually eat hotel breakfast but we did today!

Everything was great and the room had features that I can really appreciate. For instance, a sink in the bathroom and outside the bathroom door. Even something as thoughtful as having a card dropbox by the door next to the parking The only downside was the mattress. Both nights I woke up with my lower back and hips aching. I know it was the mattress because I could get up and walk around and it didn’t bother me, but when I laid down again, the ache returned. I ended up sleeping on the sofa in the living area with the fireplace on, and it was actually quite nice! but hopefully when we return, there will be new mattresses.

This hotel is clean and very friendly staff. The free breakfast is great. They even have keurig coffee machines. It is very easy to get to and to go to Capitola and Santa Cruz. They have lots of parking and don’t charge to park!

Comfortable beds, clean rooms and pretty good breakfast. The only issue is that our room was super loud, with people talking in the hall and the noise from the road. Avoid room 106 if you are looking for a quiet night.

Everything about the hotel was fantastic, the only issue we had was that we waited about 40 minutes to check in. There was a sign at the desk saying the rep was away helping other guests so I wasn’t too bothered by it. 10/10 would stay again

We loved the spaciousness of our room . It had a cute little fireplace and sofa area. It made our stay feel more homey. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool area too . It was great to have parking and central to where we wanted to be . Only small feedback I could give is I would have preferred blackout curtains instead of the plantation shutters . These looked very cute but I like my room pitch black.
