Good hotel for a one night stay. Clean and comfy.

The staff was amazing but the property looks unkept. The grout on the tile was dirty and the walls need paint. Lots of dust on air vents and returns. It was obvious the owner has neglected upkeep on the property. For what we paid, we will not stay there again.

The room was clean and the linens nice. We had a queen bed suite. The room was very large and comfortable. Perfect for a several day stay. There was a light in the portico that was blinking badly. It gave me a headache while we were unloading.

We couldn’t get the door lock to work because the doorknob was loose and wiggling. They reset it three times, then we had to move rooms. Another lady in the hallway said hers was the same thing, she just figured out how to wiggle it to get it to work.

They have a “suite “ they put us in which is a small room separate from the hotel . It’s not a suite it’s an old storage building that’s renovated into a room . It was clean but strange to have use the side gate to get to your room. Hampton inn or holiday inn were much nicer .

Although the room was technically clean, it left a lot to be desired. When we checked in, the desk staff member said how we got the best, quietest room in the whole hotel. It was not in the main hotel building, it was outside and looked like a remodeled pool shack. First, it took us a few minutes to get in the room because we couldn't get the handle to work (the desk staff member warned us to "lift" the handle because there's something wrong with it). So much for being quiet, there were 3 adults sitting right outside our window in the parking lot with a cooler being very loud sheet 10pm. And then the bed. You could actually see that the foot of the mattress was at least 4-6 inches higher than the head. We flipped the mattress around and it was still a little higher (how?!). And then the springs and box/platform made horrible loud popping noise every time we moved a hair! As you can imagine, we got absolutely NO sleep. To top it off, BW wouldn't let me add my account number for points because I booked through Expedia. I've never had any other hotel chain say I can't. So long BW, there are too many hotel chains that are better quality for the same or lower price.

The stay was fine overall. The breakfast was plentiful and had a good selection of items. The coffee was fantastic! Would stay again…. Very convenient to Palo Duro Canyon. The town of Canyon has good restaurants and is charming. This property is older and could do with some maintenance upgrades.

Smelled stale. Items like kleenex and shampoo and hand soap were out or almost empty. Room was musty and not very clean. Employee ( and I think there was only one) was not concerned when we told her you could feel the springs in the mattress. Shower hit and cold was reversed. For the price of the room, was not a pleasant stay.

This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in! So clean, super comfy beds and really good breakfast!

The pull out couch bedding was not ready when we arrived. We had to call down to reception then told to go get it ourselves from reception. Stain on pull out mattress. Apple juice not working properly at breakfast. Not horrible, just not a positive experience especially when booking a franchise like bed western in my opinion.

The room was okay. There was hair in the sink and the tub. Otherwise, it was a great stay. The breakfast was good too.

It was a fair price for close to palo duro canyon. Breakfast was decent. Our room keys never worked properly. We had them remade three times and even then only one ended up working and we left it alone. The TV was unusable also. No menu, no guide or even directions. Gibberish file folders.

We only stayed for a night ahead of our day trip into Palo Duro Canyon. It was a comfortable stay. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and breakfast had a lot of options. It's a great place to stay.

About what you’d expect at this price point: clean and comfortable but drab. Worth it if you watch your pennies. Good place to stay if you’re visiting Palo Duro Canyon and aren’t into camping.

Heat was hard to adjust

Front desk people were nice and helpful. The problem I had there was that the electronic keys were not working properly. I had to go the front desk multiple times (the card would work one time) to get my key card reset. It apparently has been an ongoing problem there.

Friendly staff that helped with special project we gathered during our visit.

Clean, low noise level, easy to park and get to romms Check in was longer than expected, had to provide a drivers license, car tag number car color and type of vehicle. All of this could have been avoided if the these were on line.

The room keys were tricky to get the door to open. Half the time, the door would reject the card. Had to recharge my room cards 4 times while I was there

Good breakfast although a bit cramped on a busy morning. Our TV was from 1999. Basically why you might get from an over air antenna.

Overall, it was great and a great stay for a great price! The shower had someone else’s hair in it, but I can deal with that. I had trouble with the keys multiple times and had to get them reset, and there was no icemaker on my floor, but other than that, it was perfectly clean and comfortable and for the price and area it was fine overall!

Well run BW for a small town. Very clean. Music in the lobby. Dinosaur decorations and information gave it a resort feel. Excellent value for the price.

Room was clean, but 1 problem is being a room at the end of the hall foot traffic in and out of the door during the night and I'm guessing the door seal was completely sealed (door locks work great) door seal was the problem, hallway light was bright. Door seal needs to be addressed.

Dog friendly and convenient in our travels Needs better bedding. Comforters are lacking. Only a blanket with a white sheet over it. It's winter y'all, even in Texas. Front desk host was absolutely awesome. Great stay overall.

Our stay at Best Western Palo Duro Canyon was pretty good. The rooms were nice enough and breakfast was great! The staff was very friendly. The one issue we had with our stay was cleanliness. The bedding was clean, but the carpet needed vacuuming (we found popcorn kernals on the floor by the bed). The bathroom floor also needed cleaning, especially around the edges, in the corners and around the toilet. It had obviously not been cleaned, because there were urine spots on the base of the toilet. One other issue was that our TV didn't work (Room 223). We had traveled with our grown son, and the TV worked in his room, so we watched a movie there. But, some attention was needed in our room.

It was a handicapped room. My last 2 stsys have been in a handicapped room. I did mot request nor need nor want one. Stop giving handicapped rooms if not requested.

After checking in the fire alarm went off. Told we would have to leave. When returning all the front doors were open and it was 22 degrees. Got to the room and cranked up the heat but could feel the cold air blowing in the door. Had to put all the towels at the bottom to cure this.

Front desk Customer service representative looked dingy the day I arrived. He also try to place me in a room that was right next to one of the Hallway windows that was cracked and busted , you feel that 100 degrees. taped up my safety was not a factor not as a paying patron or even as a person. I was suposed to stay until Sunday 7/10/25.

Had a king suite. Good sized room, seating was comfortable and bathroom ammenities were modern. Motel is in a great, safe, accessible location close to shopping, dining, and college. Staff was AMAZING. They were kind and knowledgeable. They fulfilled several requests we had quickly and in a friendly, professional manner. Breakfast was motel typical, but offered gluten free, dairy free and healthier options than some places we've stayed at. Pool was clean and loved it. Workout room is simple, but had what we needed to exercise effectively. This was our 2nd time to stay here and will do so again. A-plus!

The hotel does not have newer appliances, but what they have is adequate for me. I love that they have Keurig in the room. I’ll stay there again.

The staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The only bad thing about our stay was that cleanliness of the hotel, our room was super dirty, bathroom did not get mop or cleaned, the bed sheets where never changed during our stay, other than that everything was great, really loved the staff.

The staff was wonderful! But there were hot Cheeto crumbs on one of the beds when we got there. The room was incredibly humid and the beds felt almost damp. The tv did not work. We called the front desk and they came up, unplugged it and turned it back on but still didn’t work.

Perfect for what I needed

Was not clean- dirty towel, I flushed toilet, items left in refrigerator, personal items left behind in room, hair in bed. When we complained and got a new room there were visible (bed)bugs and blood stains on the sheets. The curtains were secured to the wall with packing tape and the carpet was very stained. I would never return here and probably not ever stay at a best western again due to the experience. The price of the room was $150 per night.

Hotel is extremely dated and under staffed! Carpet is torn through the hotel as well as in the rooms. It definitely doesn’t match the pictures shown online. We will chose another hotel when we come back in a few months. It needs a full update!

Hotel was great. Breakfast had a great variety of food. The second day the gravy I put on my biscuits was extremely salty. I suggest the cook samples what is being presented.

Great hotel and price. We did not stay here because we were informed at check in that the pool was temporarily closed. Normally we would not care, but our grandchildren were with us on this trip and would have been disappointed. They gave us a full refund and apologized for the inconvenience. The staff could not have been nicer.

Other than the hail storm that busted out my back windshield, everything was fine. The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly. The only thing I would suggest is some covered parking.

I have never stayed in a hotel room with as many drywall repairs as this one had. I don't think the hotel was at max capacity, but this would be one of the last rooms to rent to a customer unless the rooms are all of a similar state. There were extensive drywall repairs of poor quality on the ceilings in the bathroom, the living area, and the bedroom area as well as wall repairs near the front door and a large one near the desk. I told my wife that the Rolling Stones have stayed here before. One of the ceiling fans was inoperable or it could have been linked to the mystery switch that seemed to control nothing. The bedding was very clean, but the floors would only rate a C grade - those weren't my hairs in the bathroom floor. The people were nice. Great parking. The steakhouse next door was good. Convenient to the school and Palo Duro Canyon.

Greeter by friendly front desk person. Headed to elevator which was on the dirty side. Entered room and it was stifling. 2 ceiling fans thankfully, but only one worked. Asked for extra fan, but hotel had none. Once the room cooled down after we turned the AC on, it was tolerable. Would not stay here again.

Very good condition, decor, and overall appeal. Room (ceiling) lighting better than most other hotels. We loved location of excellent steak house right next door. If/when in area again, would definitely consider staying here again. Breakfast, though, was lacking in choices; bananas were too ripe.

We had requested and reserved a handicap room for my Father-In-Law. When we arrived, we were told they did not have one and they were sorry but too bad. We had to purchase a handicap bar for the toilet so he could even try to stay in the room. The manager tried to tell us it was not requested but the front desk clerk had already said she saw the note on the request. Then our keys work about once every 4 tries. When we requested, they reactivate the keys we were told how to open a door. The shower curtain was also ready to fall off the wall. Would not stay here again. I would rather drive to Amarillo.

Had to go to desk to get another TP role. I had to go to the desk to get a plunger, and we were only there for 2 nights. Staff was very polite and even gave us directions to what we were looking for in the town.

The hotel staff were INCREDIBLY accommodating! SO friendly! Top notch, I will return here every time I visit Canyon.

They had a large enough room to accommodate my kids and me. Plus friendly employees and a yummy breakfast.

This property was great to accommodate my family and I at the last minute when my other accommodation fell through. There’s plenty to eat nearby too. Front desk staff was very friendly and even called us to our room to make sure everything was to our liking.

The shower was disappointing. Lukewarm water, at best. The shower head and flow of water was terrible. One of the things you look forward to the most is a great, hot shower after traveling. No decaf coffee offered at breakfast. The bed was wonderful! Great pillows and great mattress. The room was in disrepair. Cracks in the drywall in the bathroom, chunks of grout missing in the bathroom tile, a large area in the ceiling of the room, likely just painted over from an upstairs leak. Definitely overpriced. Quite disappointing for what I spent.

Right there with West Texas A& M University & their stadiums. Clean. Every standard amenity. Good breakfast. Great value.

Decent enough hotel considering it's a very rural area. Older building but it has been kept well. I would stay again for sure.

It was a nice motel. Missed a couple of spots in the bathroom but very nice overall. It did have a wonderful steak restaurant next door. However, it was off the beaten path so we might stay elsewhere next time.

Cose this location for safety snd it was safe.

Nice clean hotel near Palo Duro Canyon

No one came and cleaned the room/stocked supplies while I stayed for 2 nights, 3 days.

Front desk employee was very welcoming. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent!

The hostess didn’t have any info about the local attractions nor dining. We found the dining by ourselves. The only recommended the place to eat next door

Rooms are beyond spacious @ 1.5-2x a normal hotel room. Staff very accomodatiing.

Book your own room on line! Staff is not honest about room availability or price! Elevator was broken so guest were required to use the stairs for all floors above the lobby! Breakfast was decent but nothing spectacular worth mentioning as a plus!

Everything was excelente; very kind staff people willing to listen, help in particular seniors needs, and provide service and information to make a very good, safe and confortable stay in this place close to a unique Texas state park, Palo Duro Canyon.

Rooms were clean and the property was nicely maintained.

Right off highway, easy access. Two restaurants within quick walking distance, one next door, one directly across the street. We ate at the steakhouse and it was fantastic. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in was professional and friendly. That’s a rare thing in today’s hotel check-in experience and it definitely made an impression. We will stay here again in the future.

Dated and poor attempts at repairs. Breakfast was lousy.

Friendly and helpful staff. Super clean. We always stay there when in Camyon. If they are fully booked parking is a nightmare as they do not have enough spots.
