But continental breakfast was non-existent. First room Choice wasn't possible because staff didn't show to clean rooms.

The smell of the lobby was absolutely horrible. Luckily the room didnt smell like that so I didnt have to change hotels.

There were holes in the walls, lamp shades broken and missing. after first night's stay into a two day reservation I was asked why I was still in the room.door had gaps around it which gave the room a draft. Should've been a smoking rn from smell on arriv

The breakfast was terrible. The hotel needs to remove breakfast from its facilities. There was cereal and danish patries along with coffee. Danish pastries were past best buy date by a month. Our room was okay but other guests were complaining about room.

It was a tired facility, room was clean enough but rough around the edges. Heard a lot of noise from room above us. Did not use the shower. No brochures in lobby. Really no food. I¿d look elsewhere

Nothing Everything the entire room. It was uncomfortable and smelled of cigarette even though it was supposed to be non smoking. When I booked a one bed there was two and one of them had cigarette holes in it. The lamp shade was missing and the drawers on the dressers and night stand were broken.

Rooms were totally outdated, bathtub clogged, commode seats did not fit, air conditioning barely worked. Just an old outdated "cheap" motel. It was Motorcycle weekend very crowded and I did not realize this motel was in such poor condition.

Clean and the beds were comfortable, and the employees were friendly, especially the housekeeping. I had breakfast, nothing glamorous, but it was good for me and my son! Seen a lot of bad reviews about this hotel, but I don't know why it was just fine! No, it isn't the Grove park inn, but I didn't want the Grove park inn. It was affordable for my budget. I will go back. Everything was great! I wish the pool had been open, but it was not. The lady at the front desk said something about if you were local, you couldn't rent a room, but she let me stay anyway. I am from Waynesville. I just don't think they want any problems out of anyone staying there.

The sheets were stained and there was debris/crumbs under the mattress. The breakfast was stale cereal and expired muffins. Disgusting days-old-looking coffee. No attendant present for checkout. She was driving back in as we were pulling out of the lot.

There was noise in the middle of the night on the floor above us. Someone was walking back and forth all night, and it was hard for some of us to sleep. The location is a little isolated-dead end road, closed Sagebrush restaurant in front of it.

There was absolutely no maid service had to deal with it own trash. No breakfast which they said we would have. Electricity was not good. Couldn't plug more than 1 thing in at a time. And the stairs were covered in ice and snow. Someone fell down stairs and they didn't care said they couldn't do anything about the snow and ice. Had to go get our own towels. There was no iron. The toilet rocks when you sat on it.

Staff rude, vending machines broken, room smelled like heavy marijuana usage had occurred, or a skunk sprayed the walls. Could not get anyon to the door on checkout date, so I stuck the key through the locked lobby door. Ithe bed was ok, room clean

For an economy motel, they have a surprising range of amenities. From a large fridge and microwave to a balcony, pool, and bbq grills and picnics tables, they rival higher star class hotels. The driveway entering the motel is a bit confusing and has several large potholes. Be alert for those.

The place itself was behind a restaurant that is shut down and in the back where it was "shady" looking. The place smelled odd, and the breakfast area was a joke. There were little animal statues outside in the grass that just looked horrifying. Do not stay here, we are so glad that we didn't.

My husband called 3 times to make sure it was switched to nonsmoking. When I got there she still had it in the computer as smoking. When i looked at the photos on the website, they had to be from 10 or more years ago. The place is in need of serious upkeep. In the bathroom above the shower, there was black mold on the ceiling. There was one electrical oulet that clearly had been overheated and was burnt around the plug-in. There was a couple of orher electrical outlets that the covers were missing and wires were exposed. When i pickup up the TV snd cable box buttons to turn the TV on, all of the batteries were missing and there were no backs to either set of buttons. The lights switches were broken and there were even lightbul

Forced off the highway by car trouble, this manager was understanding and gave us a really clean and pleasant room at an extremely reasonable rate. Very kind staff and a really nice place to stay!

The staff was really helpful in finding dog friendly dining. Ground floor had a little patio that went straight onto the lawn. was useful for walking your dog. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but in need of updating. Our room had a hole in the carpet and the bathroom fan was extremely noisy. There was no way to turn it off since the light was on the same switch.

Inexpensive and functional, but not not quite the Ritz. The property could use some TLC in many areas. The people were friendly. The noise from I-40 is pretty bad, so take earplugs. Not terrible for a quick overnight stay.

Did a last minute reservation on Orbitz on the road since the interstate closed due to an accident during a snowstorm. Booked a non-smoking king bed room. The room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke and had two full sized beds. The toilet seat was sitting on the floor next to the toilet and there was a big hole in the wall. Fortunately, got notification that the interstate had opened back up so we go out of there. Would rather sleep in my car.

For the price, this motel is ok. It's clean and convenient. There is some deferred maintenance like; no cover on bathroom vent, no battery in smoke detector, and a loose tile on the floor.

On Saturday morning the maids came to clean at 8:45. When I asked if they could back in 15 minutes as we would be leaving soon, they told me "no". The sheets appear to have what seems like blood stains and the beds have bugs crawling all over them. I'm glad I'm in a room with two beds but I still can't sleep because I'm still worried about the bugs..... During check out no one was there to check me out even after I rang the bell several times so I decided to call by phone and a lady answered and I told her I was waiting to get checked out. The room was in poor condition needed repair, the towels were terribly Stained, but they brung cleaner towels to the room. I like the idea that its right off the highway and easy access to continue on your journey.. Breakfast items was everything dry and cold.. horrible! The price for the room was great if its just a pit stop and go.. One night was too much! 🙁

This was just awful, nothing worked in our room, bathroom door didnt close, tv didn't work, breaker tripped, hair dryer broken awfully dirty, and the owner's was absolutely horrible! And thats be nice.

All in all, the rates here are too high for the condition of the hotel. $75 (that's with a discount) doesn't seem appropriate for a room that isn't half the quality of a $150 room. If the price came down to something like $40–$60 per night, I'd stay here again for the excellent service.

When I went to check out a young woman was talking in the phone with a friend and wouldn’t get off to take care of business. I dropped the room “keys” on the counter and walked out. She never said a word to me.

My stay was really nice. The housekeepers and the front desk staff were very friendly. The only problem I had was we saw 2 roaches in our room. Besides that everything else was pretty ok!

The person at the counter at checkout made me seriously consider going somewhere else. The room looked like it was under construction. It was clean. We were only staying one night passing through town so it wasn’t a big deal. I wouldn’t have stayed had we been staying longer

The rooms smelled like smoke, their was hair in the towels, it felt very sketchy. We slept with the light on.

nasty rooms, stains on furniture, covers, lamp shade and cig burns on everything. Someone wrote that Bob likes it in the b*tt on back of door and in the drawer of desk. We received a refund and left.

Furniture is old, chipped, marred. New sink, faucet, flooring but vanity itself was bare wood except for remnants of past formica. Breakfast is really a joke - but that's not why we stayed here. Accepts pets and has what appeared to be a well maintained swimming pool. Tile grout was on the wall, walls needed to be repainted. Nails in walls where barrier was placed during remodel. Needs to attend to details.

The hotel was under renovation. While our room was not completely finished, it was still very clean and completely functional. The bathroom fixtures were all new, a new TV, and excellent wifi. Even though the hotel is near the highway, there was almost no noise (the property is up on a hillside).

Hotel is off highway so little noise. Renovations in progress. Room relatively clean. Very limited breakfast. Staff friendly. 1st floor window did not lock. We wouldn't return.

Checked in late and desk not overly happy, but understandable. In the middle of refurbishment, but the room was better than expected. Nothing fancy and breakfast could use help, but nothing really to complain about.

This is an older hotel with spring mattresses. The room didn't have the hair dryer and, even though I asked for one, the hotel didn't give me one. The breakfast was sub par. The waffle maker spray and batter was out, no bread or bagels to toast, only muffins and danishes. Hard boiled eggs. The cover was spotted. It was quiet unless someone turned on the water above you! Over-priced for the level of value. Not a lot close by for kids. We stayed here only to visit Bryson City. Could have found a better place for same price if I would have booked earlier. Convenient to 24-hr gas station, Burger King, and Bojangles. Was clean enough. Be sure you don't book a smoking room by accident. Won't stay here again.

Photos of property were quiet misleading.For what I was charged I could have spent $20 or so more and stayed in a mid scaled chain hotel.

Furniture should be replaced, chipped, outdated, microwave smelled like it was smoking, toilet seating nearly on ground level. Carpet needs a good shampoo! Outside patio littered with cigarette butts.

The room was clean, although the areas with tile flooring could have tolerated a deep scrubbing. I was a little nervous when I noticed the bed had a spring coil mattress, but it was surprisingly comfortable. The biggest issue I had with this hotel was the noise level; the owner needs to do something about the plumbing and pipes. Every time you turn the water on or off, the pipes rattle and clunk in the walls. Not so terribly bad until you realize that the pipes in your wall are clunking every time ANYONE uses water. The hotel was completely full during our stay. Full of people who wanted to take showers, use the toilet, wash their face, brush their teeth. All. Night. Long. Not the greatest situation when you've got an interview in the morning. Maybe it was just the end of the hotel we were in, or maybe it was just ground floor rooms, or maybe it was just our room (102). I don't know. But our stay was miserable. I won't book a room here again, not when there are plenty of other options.
