Seabreeze Hostel Bali

Good location walkable to everything. The kitchen was a nice addition but I didn't use it. Staff cleans daily. Bathroom door was flimsy and difficult to shut. A/C in bathroom drips on head. The private room I was in (B) had a glossed over window high in the room from the other room's bathroom. Whenever they turned on the bathroom light late at night it would shine into my room and wake me up. Room was very secluded and no view, like a closet.

Staff was giving me a smile while at the same time guided me through the wrong booking process and after the purchase acknowledged their mistake but denied a refund or assisted with correction. I’ve chose this place as the cheapest option after realizing that going back to Ubud after sunset surfing session was too late, just to get screwed by rules of this place and condescending attitude of the staff. Discrimination against gender. Condescending attitude towards customer. Downgrading point of view and premature judgement on everything with rough attitude. This place is (was) THE cheapest in Canggu while I was booking and staff was behaving like I was some kind of lost kid without any money. They were not happy with any question asked. It felt like I had to shut up and take what’s being served to me. I would describe it as shocking and abusive behavior towards unsuspecting customer. They have guided me through booking process at the few times, first one I made a mistake and they didn’t wanted to help to correct it, second time I’ve made a purchase in front of staff - they laughed at me that I made another mistake again… without any offer to help with correcting it, they’ve asked me to book for a third time. After a short pause and reassessment of environment I’ve realized that pictures on the booking platform doesn’t correspond with reality. Everything looked like a messy and dirty building with bunch of beds and dividers between them. More over - men and women are separated by different standards and sanitary conditions. Females have a low to mediocre facilities (corresponding with price) while males are expected to live in a garage - humanely downgrading and unacceptable conditions. This place is a bad joke to someone like me who can walk away from it and a nightmare for a budget traveler or surfer who’s stuck in the neighborhood for the night. Shame for the owners and sleazy staff. Be aware - it is not a surfer friendly “sea breezee” place - it’s more like facility for a local construction personnel.

I played whole night out and didn’t get time to even check in this hostel. After New Year’s party I directly went to the airport.

Super chill, no party hostel and people all ages, all nationalities and respectful. Staff super friendly. ( Aldi was the best!). Water to refill your bottle, mosquito repellent available too, book shelf, good wifi. Mmm bathrooms, need a bit more attention, change the bath mat and hand towel often. Maybe smoke Area shouldn’t be in the entrance is the hostel is all smoke free

I enjoyed my 1-month stay at Seabreeze. My room was small but comfortable, clean, with a small desk, good A/C, and a large outdoor bathroom. Room cleaning is as often as you like and the common area is cleaned daily - be sure to clearly mark your things in the fridge or they'll be gone! Also free water ? The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is mostly quiet, off the super busy main road. Several excellent restaurants and coffee shops are within a short walk, which is important because walking is treacherous in Canggu. The only window is to the common area and it's heavily tinted for privacy. Obviously no fault of Seabreeze, but Canggu is not for everyone and turned out to be my least favorite area in Bali - do your research!

Really cozy stay and great location, private room was very spacious and included a safe for valuables. Showers were quite dirty
