The thin metal wrapping around the bed frame was noisy whenever you move around on/in the bed. Suggest you all replace that with something else or remove completely.

The bed was comfortable affording us no backpain in the morning. The air conditioner provided good room temperature throughout the night. The AC also was excellent for "white noise" that kept the street noises from infiltrating our room. The area is horrible. Upon arriving we were treated to a Mustang revving his engine with what sounded like a modified exhaust pipe. In the morning I was "blessed" with the sight of a heavily tatooed man in shorts standing outside his room. If there was a continental breakfast, we never saw it unless it was the containers of juice, yogurt and buns at the reception desk.

All I can say is I wasted my money. I wasn’t even able to stay in the room. When I walked in, I was overwhelmed by a very musty, smoky odor in a non-smoking room. The bed linens were old and dingy, the sofa had multiple wet stains on it, and some of the towels in the bathroom look like they had already been used. I absolutely was terrified to stay there would not recommend.

Beds real uncomfortable

The room itself was nice. Had one appeared to be a brand new smart TV however, the remote would not do anything with that TV. I called to get a wake up call but they did not offer that service and did not have an alarm clock in the room. Thank goodness I had my cell phone to set an alarm.

I appreciate the smoking room, but just because the room is smoking don’t mean it’s has to be terrible

The rooms were very dirty we found drug paraphernalia under the bed. There was no breakfast and no phones in the rooms. And the staff would not do anything about it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Walk in the bathroom and there were roaches! Got the hell up out of there. The worst hotel ever!

The nightly rate quoted online was more at check out time. The initial unit was dirty, tub and dirt and hair, carpet and odor in the room was bad. They showed us four other units and we chose one which had a bathroom that was cleaned. All the rooms need painted, deep cleaning and overall updated. We will not stay there again.

Disgusting hotel. Stinks of smoke. Got moved to a slightly less stinky room but had to sleep with window open and still woke up with a headache. Oh, and breakfast is, well, just look at the picture…

Stayed here often due to travel and location. However, thus time was told room would be ready 20 min after check in, an hour later, room was ready, no towels, and no lights bulbs, asked an employee for light bulbs, he came in, saw no bulbs said he would return immediately, observed him speaking to gentleman at feont desk, never returned. Will not stay here again

It was dirty, poorly lit, the police were carting off someone when we were checking in. The room was infested with cinch bugs.

First night: 1 worm, 1 spider grasshopper, 3 roaches. Room was not vacuumed after previous guest. No services during stay. Rotting sofa on lawn near parking lot. Disgusting.

The front desk was nice an helpful. The room was average but I did see a few roaches coming out of the phone on the bedside table so I didn’t like that. Also there was a part of the carpet by the bathroom that was ripped up little so everytime I went to the bathroom I would step on it an the nails or staples that hold the carpet would puncture my foot. Not something I want to deal with when I get up late night to use the bathroom

Agent said he checked room ahead of time and still put us in! When new room it was handicap, ok but at this point we wouldn’t return. Breakfast was advertised but was packaged snack cake, that was it. Sorry, not a good experience!

It was so DISGUSTING we DIDN'T STAY!! We were 30 mins from home but wanted a staycation close to dragway. There were stains EVERYWHERE....loveseat,floor, mattress, blankets, splatters on door that looked like blood, tub looked unclean,only one trashcan and people were gathering in groups all around outside. Would NOT recommend.Not a $116 a night room!!!!!

The hotel listing mentioned an included breakfast. There is also a sign posted with the breakfast hours, but the only things present were little Debby snacks and coffee. I was most disappointed about the breakfast.

Just to clarify, I booked here because it was the second cheapest hotel in town. Upon my arrival, I waited in line behind a woman asking for a refund because her room stunk and was not clean. I then encountered another woman who came in to complain about the two different groups of people who were hanging out outside and making a lot of noise. This was all while waiting to check in. Once I made it to my room I was satisfied with the condition, the only exception to that being there was not an actual fitted sheet on the bed and the WiFi was horrible . In the end I slept fine and had no issues with anyone but definitely was not thrilled about having valuables in my car outside. I would say that you get what you get when staying at a Super 8 but I certainly think that $80/ night is a bit steep for this place. If I had payed $50-60 I wouldn’t be writing this review. I think I probably would have felt safer sleeping at the rest stop.

Exposed carpet tacks, fleas on bed, stained bedspread, strong odor of cigarettes, more than 10 cigarette burns on bathtub (how does that even happen?), dirty carpet, dirty walls, broken outlet covers, moldy odor, screaming downstairs neighbor, surly clerk, and a preposterous excuse of breakfast. I was shocked.

The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. Breakfast was a Danish and coffee.

The bed had bugs told the front desk and the only thing he did was shrug his shoulders. First, l asked for a non-smoking room and obvious that the one given, went to front desk and got changed to another one. The bedspread looked filthy and something was thrown on it, totally discussing, l slept if you can call it sleep on the chair and l put towels on it. If Wyndham lends its name to this filthy discusting property, boy then we are in trouble, l will never use another property that has the Wyndham name on it.

Issues with this stay started at my entrace to the office. There was an extremely pungent and horrible smell. The room also smelled, i had to purchase an air feshener. The carpet had stains, the A/C motor made such a racket that i had to shut it off, and the bathroom floor was not cleaned and spotted with urine. The TV was off the wall bracket and just setting on the dresser and leaning against the wall. The matress was warn out and soft and the sheets and blanket were just tossed on the bed, and nothing tucked in to stop them from moving. At least there were no bugs.

Put my credit card on file for incidentals when I checked in , but i was charged soon as they swiped my card, so I asked the clerk right then and there, and he said I would get it back and that was a lie, I still have not received that money back on my credit card, so I was charged a full night again at check-in…I’ve stayed at hotel before where you have to put a credit card on file for incidentals, but my card was never charged right then there it would be pending

This was a very disappointing stay for the price. Does not look like photo. Carpets need cleaning, found bugs in room. Room was not cleaned nor bed made after first of two nights. Police lights flashing outside my room this morning. Would not recommend and will definitely stay elsewhere if I return to the area.

Our room was covered in burn holes, the bedding, the shower, everything! When we walked in another guest stoped my wife and asked if we were the new people. We left right away due to the conditions and safety. No refund, but never again will we book with Expedia...

Bugs in room

Got a reservation. They called to confirm we were coming. We said yes but we would be very late on the road driving. They said ok. Showed up between 4-5 am to be told we could not get the room I reserved. Ended up getting no sleep before my daughter's college visit. I WILL NEVER stay at a super 8

Apologies for this review, but felt it important to let travelers know what to expect. Property was filthy. Rooms were vile and smelly. This wasn't just an outdated, economic no-frills motel. I cannot express how absolutely unsanitary these rooms were. I know it's a motel, and my expectation for the say was not high end, or anything fancy. Just clean, and the property failed in that regard. They gave me a different room and initially I thought it was better, but that was on smell alone. There was a piece of copy paper taped over a large hole in the wall, and this 2nd room was no better than the first. Thick, visible dust everywhere, cobwebs over lamp shades, and in room corners, burns on bathtub, rug, furniture and bedding. There were broken door knobs, nails sticking out of carpets and mold in the bathroom vent. Really very poorly kept- and unhygienic in every way. Would not recommend even on the tightest of budgets . I did not leave b/c everywhere else was sold out.

Our flight was super delayed and the owner called us to make sure we were coming and had to stay late to check us in which we appreciated. There was no hair dryer in the room, the manager delivered one to my room. Hotel is centrally located, bed was comfortable, could've been cleaner. So overall, service was great, you get what you pay for.

I cannot believe this place.....The man at the counter was rude, 2 police cars greeted us in parking lot, area smells like sewage, stairs are unsafe and have caution tape around the railing but we were expected to use them, the matress is broken, burn holes everywhere, light fixture in bathroom falling off, refrigerator is warm and the lampshades are all broken. Looks nothing like the pictures i seen when booking. I travel alot and this is the worst Super 8 hotel I have ever seen in 20 years! Hopefully I will get some sleep but i highly doubt it!!! If it wasn't so late i would leave!!!

Renew the property

The cleaning staff does the bare minimum and perhaps owners/manager aren’t willing to do more. The room smelled of smoke although we requested a non-smoking room. The shower curtain was moldy. The parking lot is THE place where all kinds of shady business is done.

Did not realize it was a smoking room. The room smelled the bedding has burn holes in it. Manager came a sprayed and then the room smelled like deisel fuel

Overall was a good stay

We checked in and went to the room. One of the beds was broken. The manager changed our room. Two people later tried to enter the room, saying that it was their room. My daughter wouldn't shower there.

Avoid this super 8 hotel. Room was musty and worn. There were bugs and rodent droppings in the room. The towels hanging were stained and wet - clearly not cleaned from the previous person. I left my bags in the car so my clothes wouldn’t stink or get bug infested. I should’ve slept in the car too.

I don’t want to disparage the place. I am sure they try but with the amount of hotels in the area that are available for 20-30 bucks more. Trust me , bring your family to one of them. You want to meet your side piece for a stand or trucking though the area - sure , this is a fine stop. No frills. And I mean no frills. Be warned.

The people that run this super 8 are very friendly and take care of any issues as quickly as possible. I’ve stayed here several times and they are always nice. Hotel due for a remodel but they do a good job keeping it looking as nice as possible.

Quieter than maple ave hotels and doesn't have shady looking characters hanging around. its worth the money an my go to choice.

Checked me in early ( I mean I was the only car there so it wasn’t parents weekend ). The room was eh. Nothing special. Bed was crap. If there was a ‘breakfast ‘ I didn’t go and see it. But Don’t think it’s a step above some cereal and fake juice. The room was eh. If I were trying to have an affair. This is probably the place to do it. It’s not skanky enough to call it a notell but don’t think you are staying at a 5 star resort. Early AM people and cars are right outside windows. So it’s nice if my car got broken into I’d hear but when construction dudes leave at 5am it’s a little annoying. Room kind of smelled funky. Couldn’t tell. But it was either a former smoking room or someone smoked in it. All in. If I were coming back again to Elon and needed a place to rest my head. This place will do the trick. Of you are looking for a resort or in room dining haha. Don’t go here. Very convenient location to Elon Uni. Which is why I chose it and for that it met my expectations.

We got there past check in time and the manager was very accommodating and helpful.

One of my favorite places to stay

It smelled of stale smoke. The sheets, the pillows. You could see daylight around the door. There was also something black on the floor, like someone stepped in something and then walked in the room.

Incredibly filthy! With this black mold, who knows how many people have been or will be sick because of staying at this property.

Stayed here on short notice. Booked from the highway. Pleasantly surprised by cleanliness and convenience.

The property and room was very shabby. There were stains on the bedding and rust stains in the tub.

Advertised there was free breakfast. At check in we were told muffins, coffee and orange juice. In the morning? Nothing!

Room was dirty. Big fight in parking lot that lasted several hours during the evening and spilled over till morning. Not their fault, but where is management? Action should have been taken.

Very noisy. Rooms not well insulated. People walking around and talking in the upper floor could be heard even outside in the parking lot the noises were terrible.

This was a filthy, run down place that local authorities investigate for high trafficking, prostitution, drugs. It would NOT PASS INSPECTION!!! Contacting local police! Should be condemned!! My family refused to stay!!! I stayed because e have a pet

They cancelled my reservation without notifying me

This is a very budget friendly option for anyone visiting Elon. It’s not the prettiest, but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The doors have deadbolts and I overall felt safe during my stay. Checking in and out was both extremely fast and easy.

The hotel was conveniently located. Plenty of restaurants around. Check in was easy, the room was clean. We didn't spend much time in the room, just to sleep so I can't comment on amenities.The hotel suited our purposes.

Do not stay here. This place is a dump. The room smelled like marijuana despite being a non-smoking property. I know people smoked in there because I found the lighter they left behind! The rug was wet & soggy like it was recently shampooed. I put a towel down that showed how dirty the water seeping through was. The sofa was stained all over, toilet seat broken so you slid every time you went to the bathroom. The toilet also was moldy, & the shower curtain was moldy. There were holes in the walls that had not been repaired. WiFi wouldn’t work, pillows were flat as pancakes, water in shower was red =cold & blue =hot. It was noisy! The carpet is old & so are the linens. The pillowcases felt like sandpaper.

It was good for a quick stop. Price was a bit high though- $90. Looked like a typical road side motel. Menus for local delivery were very outdated, no breakfast offered due to covid restrictions but nothing was offered in place of it despite the site stating a breakfast was available. Plenty of places to eat nearby and close to Elon.

Front door locked and no one answered the bell when we went down for the advertised breakfast.

My mother needed to take a bath, because of her condition she is unable to take a shower. I wasn't able to stop up the tub so my mother could take a bath. I contacted service, and the reply was none of our tubs are able to stop up water for a bath and they do not have plugs or stoppers. I went to Walmart across the street when they opened and purchased a bathtub stopper for $2

First they didnt come clean the room everyday. There was a strange smell

Bathroom fan did not operate. Room was clean but decor was outdated and not very inviting. HVAC unit did not work properly. Very little toilet paper. Grounds and exterior of facility is run down and lighting of outside parking lot is not adequate

Was a clean hotel, Motel not a hotel so doors come right outside. It sits on a pretty busy road and a lot of traffic noise.

Room was great, people next door was fighting and was very loud till about 10 PM finally quilt and I guess kissed and made up,LOL

Got buzzed in to check in. Was given a nice room but there was no parking near it cause it was an accessible room and there for infront parking only handicap. The lot is small and I had to park pretty far outta the way and haul in. Was a pain for security of the vehicles purposes also when traveling for work with work items. The morning the paper thin walls heard everyone’s morning conversations and it woke me up...otherwise it was fine. The room was good.

The staff at this property was very helpful, they put my reservation in wrong and he did what he could to help. The property and room was clean as well.

I like that the rooms are clean. Theirs not a lot of hanging out and commotion going on from other people.
