I was aware the resort was kind of "rustic" in the sense of a natural park/water park - cabin, but to our surprise, it exceeded our expectation, our room was ample, clean and great. The staff was uber-kind and attentive to our needs, we were provided an informative package with all the activities and amenities they offer, I wish I had more time than just the weekend to explore the area; we all had fun. This is a family resort so expect pets and kids around.

A/C did not work facility said they would have a/c guy come out, they never showed. Fouton/couch was junk with springs sticking out everywhere. No place to sit. Screen on screened in porch had holes everywhere so didn’t work to keep bugs out.

This was a very comforting visit. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was welcoming and the room was awesome. The only downside is The reception for the TV and cellphones wasn't the best. But overall it was an awesome visit!

We were also connected (like a duplex) to a family who allowed their kids to scream & cry non stop. Thankfully they were only there 2 nights, it was not enjoyable but another reason we would choose a larger one next time. The staff are all unbelievably amazing here, I couldn't believe how fabulous everyone treated us. We were even given a tour for our next family gathering. Definitely a place we all want to go back to!

Even better than expected! I booked a rustic cabin online and when we arrived found that it was too close to the highway for us to rest well, so we decided to upgrade to a premium cabin much further away from the highway. We were luckily able to upgrade through the resort because hotels.com couldn’t be more unhelpful and unprofessional. Both women in the office were so helpful, kind, and professional! And the premium cabin was much larger and nicer than expected!

It was like pulling teeth to find out anything. We got into the park around 1:30pm. When we pulled up to the check in station, we stayed there for 5 minutes while the staff was inside, no one came to check us in so we pulled into the main store, who sent us back to the ranger station, after we finally got checked in they told us where the bunk was gave us a map and sent us on the way. We pulled into our area started to unpack and realized we were not given a key card. So back to the ranger station, then they finally told us we could not receive a key till 4! The whole trip was like this, never any clear direction.... We normally love going to Jellystone parks and regularly go to the one in Tyler TX. That's why we tried this one even though it was a 3 hour ride, never again.

Rustic Ranch Resort is located next to North Texas Jellystone Park. This resort was fantastic! We had a very comfortable cabin. All the staff we met was friendly, courteous and helpful. There is a small store and food options onsite. NTJP is a family oriented Yogi Bear themed RV park located next to this resort. It’s convenient to I-35 and only 20 miles from downtown Fort Worth and the Stockyards and 25 miles from Dallas. It’s worth the drive if you’re planning a trip to the area. Even though we didn’t get to stay as long as we liked. We’re going back - soon.

This was during the snow/ice storm Texas was getting and with a lot of people out of power. We booked for 2 days and when we pulled into the parking lot, they came out to let us know up front that they had rolling black outs about every 45 minutes. The people were so friendly and accommodating and did their best to get us a cabin with electricity, heat and water. Definitely will return again in better weather to take advantage of everything there is to do there.

The property needs some updates and some tender loving care. One of the pools you couldn't use. It looked like it was working, but when I asked they said they were waiting for the inspectors to come. The only other pool, the hot tub was broken. It was 100 degrees and there was only one pool. The room was the nicest thing. I was pleasantly surprised after seeing the filthy bath houses. The room needed things done though. The bathroom floor was higher than the bedroom quarters. I tripped on it several times. It could be a nice place. I think it caters to campers more than anything else. You would ask people that work there a question and most of the times they would say I don't know.

This is a great place for a family vacation. Unfortunately, I was on business trip and couldn't get cell phone reception or internet service (even after I paid for the premium service). Also, the only restaurant on site is only open on the week-ends so I had to drive to a restuarant. All that said, I loved my room and the grounds. Would have loved to stay in one of the log cabins, they were so nice. I was in building with two units and it was also very nice. I would definitely recommend it for a family vacation. I would have loved to stay the day and just relax, walk around the ground and go see all the facilities they had available.

Three teens (13,12,16) & myself stayed here for a short family getaway. We all loved it. Lots for children of all ages to do. I felt safe letting my teens explore the resort alone. There were grills & firepits at each cabin. Only thing I wish there was more lighting around the grill. Take a flashlight if planning to grill after dark. Cabin was very clean & more roomy then expected for a mini house. My teens are all around 6 ft & had no problem using the shower, walking around, or sleeping in the bunkbeds. We plan to return very soon.

This is a great place for kids. There is a stocked fishing pond. There is paintball, laser tag, volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoe, tetherball, 2 swimming pools. a playground, a small waterpark(weekends only), game room, etc. There are activities for younger kids on the hour every hour during the weekends. There are so many things to do. The cabin was very clean and very nice on the inside. Our beds were very comfortable. I would suggest you bring your own blankets for the bunk beds as they were small and thin. Also, bring your own towels for the pool. there are 2 onsite laundry rooms(coin operated) open 24 hours a day. A great place to stay and we will definitely go again.

This motel is in a Yogi Bear theme park. 2 restaurants, neither of which are open during the week. Price as if high season and all amenities available. Coffee pot in room missing pieces, no coffee available on the premises, no restaurant open. AC loud, doesn't seem to hold consistant temperature. NO help from the staff or manager, eventually I got a complete coffee pot. I could have stayed at several places close by for HALF the price and gotten much more for my money. I was looking for an interesting place to stay with my companion and what I got was a motel in cartoon land. Rustic Creek Ranch Resort looked like that kind of place, TOTALLY misrepresented on the Expedia website.
