Coast Burbank Hotel

The carpet did not seem clean either. There was dust all throughout the light fixtures in the bathroom. The whole room actually needed a thorough and complete updating. There were 2 bathrobes there that needed to be replaced because they both were in tatters. They also needed to replace the towels as they were already old, not fluffy and white. They were rather tired looking and need replacement. There was no breakfast. The restaurant was under construction yet no one gave us a heads-up. The only helpful staff member was Larissa when we checked out in the morning. It wasn't an inexpensive place either. We were rather disappointed that we cancelled our second booking.

The room was great! Its clean and I love new coffee and water dispensers located in the lower lobby and its free. Its really sad that the shuttle isn't available unless you reserve it. I made reservation via Hotels app and they didnt honor it at the site. I was told to get my own transportation? Really? So I did. I did show staff my communication saved via Hotels app. It clearly stated my arrival time of 3:10pm but to no avail with compensation or discount? But other than that my stay was good but not great! Please be aware the restaurant is being remodeled and closed and carpet is also being cleaned.

Really nice hotel to stay in and so close to Universal Studios ( very convenient location). The room was very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a coffee, cappuccino and a hot chocolate machine located in the lobby area. Also a Bevi water machine with electrolytes, zinc, vitamins and choice of sparkling water. Definitely a game changer not having to look for Starbucks in the morning. The parking is currently $25 a night. Several reasons I am giving a 4 Star this time and not 5. The restaurant was under renovation during my stay and I was not informed in advanced. When I arrived that evening the carpets and furniture were being cleaned. Everything was still wet and getting dry and I could only sit on the bed until the next day .Fans were running all around the property until late. Once again I was not informed of that inconvenience, but knowing that it's clean made me feel good and safe. In the next morning when I walked out, the windows on the outside were getting cleaned as well. The coffee machine was out of order as well, but by that evening it was fixed. I asked for a wake up call and instead of them calling the room, they called my phone. I got that missed call later, since it was blocked as a unknown caller .The cleaning staff (girls) did an excellent job every day in my room. It was spotless. Big shout out for Scott at the front desk who is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and polite. I would definitely return. Just need heads up

One thing to be aware of: I’d recommend checking on the airport shuttle situation ahead of time. I had an 8:30 a.m. flight and was told the 7:00 a.m. shuttle was already full. It’s only a 10-person van. However, when I left in an Uber at 7:15 a.m., the shuttle was still parked and there weren’t any people waiting or loading, which was a little confusing.

Closed , the rooms were ok . The carpets were worn and the chairs were dirty .

Restaurant- bar was being renovated and did not receive food credits. Front desk staff was very cordial though.

The property is just so serene, the staff that assisted me was just so amazing and welcoming. The room and bed was so comfortable and clean like I was at home. Will definitely be coming here again.

Downside is no breakfast. Their restaurant was closed for renovations so no breakfast options at all. Close to grocery stores but not much walkable. Nice hotel. Only complaint was the overly intense essential oil smell in the lobby…so bad it was hard to walk through. But rooms smelled normal. Would stay here again, convenient to Universal Studios (driving)

They closed the restaurant literally the day before we arrived and we had no notice. They were still sending invites to breakfast and dinner. The other thing the pool is across the street at another hotel they own. We were only going to Universal Studios and are seniors, but if you had kids it might matter to you. Very convenient to Universal and the hotel was very nice. NO bar service either, and we thought we would relax in there.

I was highly impressed with the hotel in general. I’m usually a Wyndham hotel chain person but I would switch over to Coast if they were located on the east coast. I look forward to staying with them again when I get back to the west coast in the future.

The Coast is on the verge of being excellent. The scents they use it the lobby were a bit strong for my family's taste. Trying to get the rooms TV to cast form a computer was very difficult (we gave up after it kept dropping). But those things aside, it was an amazing place. The small restaurant int he building had good food, the staff was amazing, and the small things (outside sun deck, bikes, plenty of room towels) made up for them. Will be staying there again!

Hotel clerk was very friendly. The hotel was very easy to find from the airport and seemed to be in the heart of Burbank. The room was nice, great shower (water pressure) and the bed was cozy. Would stay again!

I have never had such a quiet room in my years of traveling. I could not hear ANY sound in the hall at all, but could hear noise as soon as the door opened, even standing just behind the door. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Wonderful shower with double showerheads and huge bathroom with 2 sinks. Only minor thing is the showerhead needed cleaning. Also, I was disappointed that we needed an emergency maxi pad and they did not have any at the front desk. Olive’s Bistro is super convenient, since good restaurants are a 5+ minute drive away, and service amazing. No microwave in the room, but there is one in the lobby. Fridge in room. Parking was easy and great. Tip: Reserve shuttle well before arrival, I was told 3 wks ahead for Universal Studios. It was full on the day we wanted it and they don’t always run every day, so we drove ourselves. I really liked being here, and would return.

This is an amazing hotel that has great reviews for good reason! It This isn’t the newest,or the biggest,or the most beautiful. Most of Burbank has older hotels,but In my opinion this one stands out. The hotel is in great shape,there isn’t an inch of it that isn’t immaculate. We had a regular room with a king sized bed and wet bar. It wasn’t the most glamorous room we’ve ever stayed in but it was clean and comfortable. I didn’t like that there was only a shower but such is life. I was very happy that we stayed here,and would stay again in a heartbeat. It’s nice,clean,safe and the staff is amazingly friendly. We ended up renting a vehicle because the shuttle was full when we needed to take it. Parking at the hotel was easy although it does cost $25 per night. The hotel was close to a few restaurants,within walking distance. Tally Rand was a neat restaurant that we had breakfast at couple of times that was very good.

We booked this hotel for its proximity to Universal Studios and the Warner Bros studio tour. The hotel has a shuttle to and from these locations which you can book for free which was a nice touch. We thought the hotel was beautiful and the restaurant on site had some lovely food options, albeit not everything was available. Comfortable beds. We had a great stay.

This is not a hotel for older people. I am disabled and my wife and I could get no assistance with our luggage. We had to haul our luggage to and from the car. The suite was very nice and comfortable.

We stayed one night to visit Universal Studios (one adult and two teenagers) during a weekend trip. The property was clean. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. It is a small three-story hotel. We appreciated the shuttle availability to and from Burbank Airport and the luggage storage during the trip before checking in and after checking out.

We have family nearby and walked to their house. We discovered Olive’s Bistro on our last day for breakfast. The food was better and the staff friendlier than the famous Talleyrand down the street!

Breakfast wasn't included, but we did enjoy a breakfast in their cafe. There was only one employee who had to take our order and cook it too. He worked hard to see we were happy and we appreciated his work. The front desk was very helpful, they were pleasant and did what they could to help us. The server at the bar in the evening was great and she made the evening enjoyable. The reason we chose this hotel was because they advertised on Booking.com that they provided free airport shuttle service and even claimed to provide free shuttle service to Universal Studios. That sold me! I wanted to be sure, so I called the number on the Booking.com page and was told that yes they provided both services. I also checked the Coast website and it proclaimed that they indeed provided both services. I also noted on our reservation, we were interested in the shuttles. It was only several days later, that I got a response from the hotel that you must make a reservation for the shuttle in advance. It was a bit late to change our reservation, so I tried to reserve a ride from the airport first. We were told the shuttle doesn't run between 1 and 3pm. Of course, our flight comes in at 1pm, so we had to order a Lyft. We tried to order a shuttle to Universal Studios for Monday and Tuesday, and were able to get one shuttle on Monday to Universal, but had to find a bus to get back as none were available that afternoon, and in fact no shuttles were going on Tuesday. We didn't see any shuttles while we were there, so I'm not sure they ran more than one a day, if that. We did get one back to the airport, so that was good. Just not what we anticipated, with all the bragging on their ads about the shuttle. It didn't seem like there were many people staying at the hotel and very few workers around. In our room there was only decaf coffee available, the curtains were torn and knotted together to "fix it", but it looked sketchy.

In normal circumstances, the stay would have been fine. The entire stay was awful. They were filming a tv show at the hotel and didn't tell me until check in. They told me I was notified when booking which was simply not true. I asked for the reservation to be canceled and I'd go somewhere else since they said the parking lot would be closed, the elevator inaccessible and they'd be filming from 7am until 10pm. They refused and said they'd accommodate me (which they did not). They even were going to charge me for parking even though I wouldn't be able to use the lot! I should have been more firm and just been firm about a cancellation. I was staying here for my own shoot at a nearby studio which meant I had tons of equipment to load and unload into my car. With all this garbage going on, I had to load and unload parked down the street. It is simply unacceptable for a hotel to force paying guests to do things like this. Never stay at this hotel. It's obvious they prioritize making some extra money renting it out for a tv production than making sure you have a decent stay. The staff seemed torn between appeasing their bosses and not knowing how to deal with unhappy guests (I wasn't the only one). They aren't really to blame but they didn't help the situation either.

It was a nice hotel and quiet at night time which we loved. I think the only negative was having to pay an additional $25/night to park in the parking lot. I think this is something that hotels should provide. The parking lot was never even half full and I am sure it is because people were parking off site on the road, just so they didn't have to pay.

Close to universal studios, shuttle provided to universal, walking distance to fast food, coffee and CVS. Traveled with two teenagers and felt safe which was important to me. Queen room - 2 beds had a refrigerator, hair dryer provided, bathroom was big and great shower, light up magnified mirror in the bathroom - was really pleased with this hotel especially for the price. The property is nice for a 3 star hotel. The neighborhood was quiet but is lacking dining options nearby The shuttle service is not reliable. Despite having a reservation for a airport pickup, it was canceled the day after I confirmed the reservation. Hotel said it needed maintenance service. The shuttle is small and is used by 2 hotels (Coast and Safari) so availability is limited. We requested a earlier pick up when returning from both Universal and Warner Studios. The wait time would be 90 minites, so we had to Uber back to the hotel. One time when we got back to hotel, the shuttle was parked at the hotel, so it was available for pick up. Housekeeping is short on staff and day one the room was not cleaned despite a request to do so. Second day, the room was not cleaned until we found a cleaning staff person late in the day and ask her for her clean the room. Provided feedback during stay, hotel manager never responded to my request or concerns.

The property was in a sketchy area. Pool was not located on property, it was actually at a sister hotel across the street. Front desk ran my card for the $200 deposit 4 times! Took 5 days for a refund. Charged $10 per extra person over 2. Front desk was not helpful when we asked them what was nearby to do and see.

The building is old but well maintained. Also, Scott was very accommodating to transfer us to a different room where it’s more quiet so we can get some sleep. All staff are professional and kind. Everything is convenient to the hotel’s location.

We asked if we could have a late check-out. What we were told: “I will leave a note and the manager will make a decision at 6 AM and call you to let you know”. What actually happened: no call or communication of any kind. To be fair, the staff was very friendly. The man on the night shift warmed up our coffee, and was very kind, and the woman who checked us in really did her best. That being said, if I ever want to go to a bar in Burbank, I will probably go to a bar and not a hotel. If I ever want to go to a hotel in Burbank, it will not be this one, because I want a quiet place to sleep.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. I was extremely disappointed by the overall cleanliness of the property, which was far below acceptable standards. Given that the room rate was $200 per night, in addition to a $25 parking fee plus $200 deposit, I expected a much higher level of quality and hygiene. Upon arrival, I was so uncomfortable with the condition of the hotel that I immediately wanted to leave and request a refund. I am genuinely concerned as to how a hotel in this condition is permitted to operate. Due to the unsanitary environment, I am unsure how I am expected to stay overnight. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate compensation or resolution be provided. I could not believe how they get high review on the website. This should be investigated!!!

Hotel rooms are very clean, great amenities. Accessible room shower was one of nicest . Included seat and floor mat to prevent slips. Downside …mattress was terrible and needs replacing. Found pillows very soft and lumpy. Probably should have rated 2-3 because of bedding but staff and everything else was good. .

Great property for visiting Universal Studios, especially with the free shuttle. Staff was exceptional. The room we were given unfortunately was directly behind the small check in wall and about 40’ from the Bistro Bar, so unfortunately, the voices of those enjoying themselves with very loud voices without concern for other guests. Other than that, the food was exceptional as well as the staff. 4.7 out of 5 for sure.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They charged us for smoking when no one smoke in room. They clearly have video of my husband smoking in smoking area of hotel. Then they stated well the room smelled funny so that’s why we charged you a smoking fee even though there was no smoking offense!!!!!They refused to reimburse the charge. They never even sent me a notice of charge never called to inform us of any charges. I will be filing complaint with their corporate office!!!! The absolute worst will never stay or recommend anyone stay at this hotel!!!!!!!

I liked that this hotel had a shuttle to Universal studio and a pick-up. Wished the room had a usb port luckily we had a plug in for charging. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

The hotel was a quick drive to Universal Studios and had lots of dining options within 5 miles. We would definitely stay her again.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Coast Burbank Hotel. The room was a good size and very clean. Check in was a breeze and hotel staff was very kind and helpful. We would definitely book another stay.

Everything was good. They just don’t have a microwave in room and the local shuttle benefit is great but you have to plan according and reserve ahead and it’s not so accessible if you’re in a wheelchair so it will be a bit difficult. It is possible but a bit more work. In all our stay was good and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival, the lobby stunk. The atrium-style ceiling was covered with some sort of cloth outside, and it and the glass were dirty. Even mid- to low-grade places have, at a minimum, coffee/tea/water in the lobby for guests. Not this place. The heated pool advertised online is actually at a sister hotel (motel?) across the street . . . and it was broken. The floors in the elevator were not vacuumed during the duration of our 4 day, 3 night stay . . . visible debris, some of which was the same at check-out as it was at check-in. The pictures of the lobby, rooms, bar and restaurant, and pool were misleading. Don't be fooled . . . whoever did those photos worked some magic. Sat for dinner at the restaurant, but the menu sucked and we had to go elsewhere for a meal; negating the 10% off coupon provided with the reservation. A $300 security deposit for this place is absurd; it speaks to the neighborhood and what management thinks its usual clientele might be doing in the rooms. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

First timer staying at this hotel, and it was phenomenal. Free shuttle service to the universal studios, and to the Burbank airport. Which I actually had my flight booked for LAX, but it was an easy drive to and from the hotel.

On top of that, the room was lacking in basic modern conveniences. There were no USB ports and not nearly enough outlets to charge multiple devices, which is pretty surprising for a hotel at this price point. Overall, the experience was disappointing and definitely not worth $360.

We had a 5 star stay at the Coast Burbank hotel. The facility was clean, the rooms were amazing, the staff is incredible. We did a quick 3 day trip to Universal Studios Hollywood, and Warner Brothers. The Coast picked us up from the airport, shuttled us to Universal and Warner Brothers and back to the airport. The staff and drivers were amazing and absolutely on time. We had an amazing stay.

Besides the general ratings above, I loved the luxurious bedding, large shower, lush robes, nice toiletries. They also had a nice little bar area and restaurant with interesting, delicious food items. Plants and decor were beautifully done.

This hotel presents itself as a higher-end boutique hotel, but they've invested primarily in externals like lobby decor rather than in areas that actually affect guests' experience. There were no reading lights near the beds, the pillows were lumpy and the mattress a little saggy, and the bathroom door was glass, so if you turned on the bathroom light during the night, it illuminated the whole room. I would not stay again.

Hotel is in a convenient area of Burbank near Warner Bros. studio. Excellent for families or couples. If you are going to downtown LA, it could be a 20 minute drive or forever due to LA traffic. Your decision to stay here depends on where you decide to spend most of your time in LA.

I have stayed here twice and was not disappointed. The on site cafe restaurant offers good fare. I ate there and took room service both. I did not try the bar but I did use the laundry room at the adjacent Safari Motel and it worked just great for me. I will stay at Coast Burbank again.

I love this little hotel.I went to the Cyndi Lauper concert at the Hollywood bowl and we went to Universal studios, so we wanted something affordable and close to both, but also clean.Parking was easy, the room was clean, concierge was professional and efficient in checking us in. My cousin and I enjoyed our stay at the Coast Burbank Hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The first night there was a bit of noise from another group, but it didn't carry on too long. Close to Warner Bros Studio Tour and Donut Prince. Easy access to freeways and Griffith Park.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The huge shower with rain shower head was really nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking was great, especially at no additional cost. Convenient location to many surrounding areas to visit.

Let me start by saying how completely and utterly accommodating the staff is at this hotel. We traveled with 9 bags, and they were so helpful letting us store them for an extended period of time whilst we explored the city before a proper check in. The food at Olive’s Bistro was delicious, and the friendly bartender made us some delicious cocktails to take up to our room. Speaking of the room, it was so spacious and so clean! Easily the best shower I’ve ever taken, and I didn’t want to leave that bed. We also utilized their free shuttle which was prompt and convenient. The only flaw was that we only stayed one night!! Thank you again for your hospitality, Coast!

Location and price were great. Nice room and bathroom. However, lack of wall outlets or USB connections made it difficult to charge a family’s devices.

My friend and I only stayed for one night but Simon at the front desk was amazing and helpful and Luis was our driver on the shuttle bus. He was so friendly! Gave us great advice on what get at Porto's for breakfast the next morning and made sure we knew where to be when he picked us up that night!! Will definitely stay there again!!! Thanx guys!! As a Platinum member in a VIP Access hotel, we were welcomed with 2 bottled water, 10% food discount coupon at the in house restaurant & our room was upgraded for free. We had a restful sleep because the bed is very comfortable & the room is quiet. We chose not to check the swimming pool because it is located in another across the street. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay.

It’s located on a busy street for that part of town. It can be loud inside due to the bar on the first floor, still slept well though. The “fitness center” is more like a closet and it’s on the property across the street. That’s really my only complaint, otherwise staff was great, the room was clean and comfortable.

Love this place, location is great for any Los Angeles destination. Would appreciate a microwave in the room or at least the hotel. Also, should be mandatory for a water station in the lobby, people need to drink water and often have their own eco-friendly refillable water bottles. The free shuttle to Universal Studios and free parking are awesome amenities. The complimentary robes during your stay is also a plus. The outer windows need a serious power washing but overall cleanliness and comfort will bring me back for sure.

I had a wonderful stay at Coast Burbank Hotel and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. First of all, the location is super convenient, about 20 minutes from Pasadena and only 30 minutes from downtown K-town. You don’t ever feel like you are in the thick of downtown, but the city itself is never too far from you. Secondly, my group did go to Universal for two days. We made plenty of use of the free shuttle service to and from Universal. We booked in advance on the Hotels.com platform. There was no hassle, everything was super simple and easy, and we always got to Universal on time. Even when we were checking out, we left our luggages with the front desk and took the shuttle that day. It was super convenient! We also rented a car for the other half of our trip, and the hotel let us park the car in the lot overnight for free. Thirdly, the staff and the hotel atmosphere were really nice. The staff were prompt in their cleaning. The bathroom was remodeled and new. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Burbank!
