Outstanding hotel! The staff were super friendly. We enjoyed the pool (closes at 11!) and the 24-hour gym. Breakfast had a range of options - waffle station, croissant egg sandwiches, mini omelettes, and so much more! Very clean as well - every time we were in the lobby we noticed staff keeping things tidy. The kitchenette had everything we needed and much more; hand towels, a scrub daddy, pots and pans, etc. The remote control blinds were a luxury lol. Noticed a few bbqs outside the pool area too! We loved the little dining sitting area in our king studio. Parking was a breeze and there was always spots available. Handy having the Walgreens next door too! Would definitely stay again.

The location is excellent if you are staying downtown Buffalo. Easily walkable. The staff was very friendly. There is no hot tub and the pool is cold but very nice and clean. Clean towels were regularly laid out on chairs and the area was nicely maintained….we just prefer a hot tub! The common area was a nice place to meet.

Needed to ask repeatedly for room to be cleaned. Several requests for towels which never arrived. The phone wasn’t working and was told there is nothing they can do about it. Very disappointing.

Our experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott Buffalo Downtown was very comfortable and straightforward. The accommodation was highly satisfactory; the room itself was notably spacious, and the soft bedding ensured a relaxing night's sleep. A major benefit is that a breakfast is included with all booking options, which proves to be an excellent feature, especially considering the lack of readily available restaurants and cafes in the surroundings. For quick supply needs, having a Walmart nearby was also quite convenient. Overall, everything was well-maintained and comfortable, serving its purpose well as a reliable, non-premium option.

We always stay at the residence inn when visiting Buffalo. It is an extremely spacious room with a full refrigerator and lots of space to relax outside of the bed area. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the free self parking is s great asset. The room cost is also very competitive based on the room amenities. We will continue to stay at the residence inn any time we are in Buffalo.

Cleaning of the roo.s were very late during the day and had to ask for spao as the soap provided is terrible. Breakfast is good with a good variety.

We put a no disturb sign. Ask for cleaning for our room and they did it. Really appreciated it. We only need cleaning once out of the 4 days

From the time of arrival until I was signed out of the hotel, the staff were amazing and very accommodating. I've been in many five-star hotels that do not compare to how to get the service was here. You definitely cannot go wrong on staying here.

We loved the room, we liked the pool(we expected a jacuzzi though). Unfortunately the lady at the front desk was not very nice.

This property has been newly renovated and is truly wonderful, though I did have some issues with house keeping services. That said, staff was receptive and helped facilitate resolution in a timely way. I would stay here again.

This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Buffalo. The cleanliness, the breakfast, the room suite which I had a refrigerator, full size dishwasher wonderful plates and wonderful knives. Never before have I been in a suite with like home amenities. I forgot to mention the electronic blinds which were very cool.

OVERALL I would still recommend. Made my family feel extremely safe. Breakfast was great for when you needed it. Pool was clean. Staff was nice

Staff were super helpful orienting us as we had not been to Buffalo before

So much area for remote working, free printer, and Starbucks attached. The pool is nice too. Also the vibes in the backyard are cute. Very close to important things in Buffalo . The only complaint is that the heating wasn’t great. It was very cold in the room. The breakfast provided was very delicious and filling. Love the mini waffles.

Hotel was nice and well kept. Room spacious and clean. Our furnace didn’t work thru the first night but since we artived at 2 am we didn’t notice, first thing in the morning they fix it. Breakfast was so so. All and all it was great and will stay there again if ever in Buffalo again

This hotel was on sale and so we could afford it. In this case, you get what you paid for. The room was modern, bright, unusually spacious and conveniently organised appointed. Kitchen was great. Parking was plentiful and free. Location was in downtown and felt safe. There are decent places to eat nearby and the location is convenent if you like to visit galleries and museums (as we did).

This hotel is a good choice for any stay but particularly well suited for an extended stay. The spacious room and kitchenette made it very comfortable for our week long stay. The price is very reasonable especially given the free self park available on site. The staff were very helpful. My only negative was that they do not provide complimentary coffee or tea beyond the breakfast which ended pretty early(9:30 am) on weekdays.

The room had a stain on the bed like the last guest was murdered. Looked like blood stained all over the rug and the shower was moldy.

No bar or restaurant on Sunday & Monday 😪 it may have said it on the description but I didn’t read it. The pool was cold and the children next door yelled and hollered until after midnight!

Rented 2 queen suites for my wedding. One suite was fine, the other one had a strong odor of fish that continued to get stronger as time went on. I did ask for assistance multiple times but my bridal party had already moved into the spaces. No one ever investigated the smell and I was not given the option to switch rooms until I returned to the hotel after my wedding. One of the worst odors ever. Still don’t know what it was but it was embarrassing for my guests.

Used the laundry twice. Very clean room, easy to use machines and free detergent! A Walgreens is conveniently located next to the hotel Unfortunately, there was no one to help us carry our bags. They don't have a concierge or bellhop.

The Most cozy place i have ever stayed at .

It was perfect place for us. We enjoyed all the facilities and the staff was great in all interactions. Internet wasn’t great towards end of trip, but they were in the process of upgrading so it’s understandable.

There’s a little courtyard with a fire pit and two grills. Guests and staff were all very professional and friendly. There’s a neighboring Walgreens that came in handy. Big convenience having Starbucks on the property and complementary breakfast with a waffle station.

This place waa horrible our room had smoke alarm issues they woke us up every morning calling or knocking on the door to work on it.I had no tv in the bedroom for 3 days nobody would come fix it we left two days early and drove for 12 hrs just to leave this place the manager hid in the back and would've talk to us.Travelocity was calling to talk to him about what was going on he wouldn't answer the phone or come out to talk to us i just expected more from them i will NEVER GO BACK

Friendly staff

Easy to use virtual check-in and prompt communication on readiness of room. Room was spacious with all supplies for kitchenette area. From front desk to service personnel, each one was courteous, positive and helpful. We will definitely stay here if we return to this area.

Breakfast was a bad joke. Food was mostly gone an hour before end time. For seven floors of 37 rooms each there were two small luggage carts. And this is the only place I ever stayed, Marriot or other, that you couldn't use the elevator without your key card. Try holding a card against the scanner, pressing a floor number, and holding anything (luggage since there were virtually no luggage carts) at once. This requires 3 hands.

Love the location of this property - lots of great restaurants around the area. Complimentary Breakfast was amazing. Large and spacious rooms - very clean. Comfy beds. My only complaint was that the rooms weren’t ready for check in promptly. Had to wait an hour after the hotels check in time to be able to get access to our room.

We booked a room with two beds and a sofa bed which was amazing for my two kids that didn’t want to share a bed! There was plenty of space. Drive was 10-12 mins to the buffalo zoo and same to the canal waterfront. There are plenty of unique restaurants within walking distance in Allentown. Also free parking and a Walgreens right beside the hotel was perfect! One of the features when we booked was the kitchen and the Starbucks. But honestly the breakfast was great and the coffee served I think was Starbucks! Even had oat milk and lots of healthier options. We were missing some items in our room like hand soap and towels but the staff was quick respond right after we checked in. Gym had all the necessities- but we didn’t get to testing the pool. We will stay here again !

Traveled with my two daughters and two grandchildren for a one night stay on a Saturday night. Good location walking distance to many restaurants, Tim Horton and Walgreens right next door . That being said my daughter and granddaughter were approached by an older male asking them for money and then proceeded to follow them. When they got to the Residence inn lot another man approached them, clearly strung out, again asking for money. My other daughter was next to her suv at this point and the man went over to her asking her too and scoping out her car. We felt very unsafe on the grounds near the hotel. Allen Street, however, had lots of people and was not threatening. We paid almost $400 for our suite; for that price there should be security in there outdoor parking lot! When my daughter went to front desk to alert them, the girl didn’t even look up from her desk to acknowledge her and just responded “ yea, we know; it’s the city”. Next morning our brand new car’s mirror had been hit and scratched up in same parking lot . Room was big and kitchenette was great but I would not return.

Great location, parking and lovely staff. Lacked overall cleanliness, room had an extreme pet urine order and kitchen within suite was not stocked for use. Overall, I do not feel the price paid for a 4 night stay equaled the quality received. Grab and go breakfast sandwiches had not been properly heated and were cold in the center each day.

Definitely recommend

The hotel is nice but the employees are letting it get run down. The pool was disgusting. Cloudy, hadn't been cleaned in days. The towels and wine glasses from the night before were not cleaned up and there were no more towels. The worst was the railing getting into the pool. It was loose and almost caused me to hit my head on the concreted.

Other than that stay was really good. Would recommend people for the stay.

Couldn’t get a room until 2 hours after official check in time. Obviously not enough housekeepers. Our “every other day” room “refresh” consisted of them taking all our towels and emptying the trash. Bed not made (so apparently they didn’t notice the generous tip I left on the bed) and a stack of fresh towels was left on a table for us to shove back in all the little cubbies in the bathroom. Bottom dresser drawer couldn’t be used as it hit the hinge of the bathroom door after opening a couple of inches!

Stayed here to attend a concert at the Keybank. The overall experience was good. Did not explore the immediate area

Check in was easy and front desk clerk was so nice and accommodating. Although our rooms were not ready (and we had 5 rooms) they were able to get two ready for early checkin so we could drop off our stuff and head out to the game. Loved the room layout, so roomy and comfortable. I wish we stayed longer than one night. If I go back to Buffalo I will.

Handsome, modern hotel with nicely appointed, clean suites and super comfy beds. However, one of the reasons I booked this hotel was the pool. Upon arrival I found the pool was "temporarily closed for maintenance". I asked when the pool would reopen, I was told "We don't know". So I put it another way, and asked how long it had been "temporarily" closed: I was told "about a month". Also, they do not clean/tidy the room/make beds every day. In fact, during my 3 nite stay housekeeping did not come into our room at all. After 2 nites my garbage can was overflowing and we were out of facial tissue and body wash so at 9am I asked the desk clerk to have housekeeping tidy our room. When we returned at 6pm that evening no one had touched our room! Now, I know since the pandemic some hotels don't clean the rooms every day, but not even when you ask them to?

Cons: No electric plug in for car; mold in grout of shower.

The bar and restaurant is no longer open. This was not stated on the website. The room had stains on the floor and carpet. The room smelt musty and the furniture is quite worn. The only positive is that the staff was very friendly.

Nice room , clean , comfortable bed, the only blip was there was no rolls Of toilet paper only half a roll left from last occupant. I called at 6:30 am and they brought a roll up immediately
