    Convenience to ride the Metro to Key Bank Center When we tried to checked in at 4 pm our room was not ready. They said it would be a few minutes longer but after 45 minutes we were still not able to check-in.

    Our room was a suite and air conditioner was not working . Maintenance was too look at it while we went to concert. Came back a few hours later and still not working called service desk and they sent a Maintenance guy by with a fan. Not happy with the stay due to air conditioning not working.

    When we booked our room we requested a Queen or King size bed. When we arrived at our room it had two double beds. We did keep that room only because we had a late check in.

    The staff were awesome, Friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean and big. Our king bed wasn’t very comfortable. It seemed to bubble in the middle and we both ended up on the edges by morning. It also seemed a bit lumpy in places. The bathroom was clean, but a bit small and hard when having to shut door. The Starbucks, bar, and restaurant were good. The area felt safe and easy to get around. The tram stop was super close.

    Firstly, the entire staff was exceptional - from the front desk to the servers at the restaurant and the bar. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and professional. I would like to especially acknowledge the desk manager, Kevin, who was extremely accommodating as we were traveling with a 94 year old. Kevin went above and beyond to make sure that our needs were met. The hotel was in a convenient location, as well. Rooms were spacious and the bedding (including the pillows!) were extremely comfortable. Certain areas of the hotel can use a refresh, but there are signs that it's being addressed. And the housekeeping staff could start a little earlier.

    No complaints at all about the room or the facility in general. We did use the stairwell once and it had a pretty unpleasant odor. The elevator has been modified so the buttons don't work but it wasn't that obvious the first time we got in after using it once the updated touch pads were more obvious.

    The room was not what you would expect from a Hyatt. The bathroom had seen better days and was in need of repairs. I was there for the Buffalo Marathon and they did let us check out late so I could get a shower. That was appreciated. The morning or the marathon there were people in the hallway at 4am talking and it felt like they were in our room. The walls are very thin. Location for the marathon was great but I will look at another hotel next time. Does not live up to the Hyatt name.

    Probably the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in! Unfortunately a few things over shadowed the stay. The wall paper in the bathroom was coming down; Guest services knocked on our door at 7:20 am and attempted to enter - my friend and I had spent the nite after seeing a show and I always use the inside lock to double lock the door - the employee would have just entered the room! We were later told we were on the same floor as a group that needed to gather and leave by a certain time. We inquired about breakfast and were shown where and told the time after having dinner at the hotel. While eating a staff member came over and gave us a bill and told us to put our room # on it and it would be added. I went to the front desk and was told that it was an ‘a-la-crate’ hotel. The charge was $50! I was firm in saying that they needed to post it somewhere whether in the room, signage outside the breakfast room, or be told at check in he replied I could have asked a staff member, I told him we did and were given the time and location. He asked if I would be satisfied w paying 1/2. I sighed and said I suppose then mentioned it was bad enough that an employee tried to enter our room w two single girls - he then apologized and wrote off the fee. Valet parking as there was no parking lot was an additional $30.

    There are a couple suggestions: 1. Desk in room needs lamp, preferably with outlets built into it. 2. Full body mirror outside of bathroom needed lighting. Mirror in daughters' room also was placed on a wall that lacked lighting. 3. On a sold out weekend, one of the elevators wasn't operating, causing very long, and very inconvenient waits. 4. The hotel drop-off semi-circle at entrance was a blocked mess, by cars, by valet parked cars, and by buses. And it was pouring rain! This situation needed hotel staff to take charge, to direct the traffic jam, because it caused patrons an long wait to unload luggage or to seek parking off site, then drag their luggage through the drenching rain.

    Upon check in to the room, I noticed an ant in the bathroom. The thermostat did not work at all. The closest working ice machine was at least 4 floors away. When trying to eat at the restaurant it took a very long time to be acknowledged and served.

    The staff at this hotel are tremendously, friendly and helpful. We loved how they kept the granite façade of the old Genesee bank as part of their remodel. Some aspects of the hotel show their age, and signage could be more clear for things like the workout room, but overall lovely. The restaurant was great as well, and although my fingerling potatoes were a little bit too salty, otherwise the food was excellent. We will be back if we need to visit that part of Buffalo again.

    I was grossed out by the room I got. It was on the 3rd floor facing a glass awning. There were dead birds on it. Nasty. I am disappointed with the staff as when I checked in at the hotel they said that was only room available which is bs. Even if it was they should have offered another room for my second night. Either way will never stay here again.

    I could not sleep the first night. It was so hot and there is no individual room temperature control. It’s really not ok, especially at the price you pay! Just because 69 is good for some, doesn’t mean it’s good for everyone! I was trying to get it lower to no avail. In addition the shower bath water was not going down. When you are showering the water is standing, which is disgusting. This needs fixing asap!

    My stay at the hotel was overall acceptable, but there are several areas that need improvement. The breakfast options were very limited, especially considering the high price, and adding more variety would make a big difference. The room itself was comfortable, but it definitely needed to be cleaner. Although the hotel has plenty of space and good facilities, it only offers one restaurant and a bar, which feels insufficient for the size of the property. With a few improvements, this hotel could offer a much better guest experience.

    Our room and floor were exceptionally clean. The amenities were great as well. Staff were eager to please and we're engaging and friendly. They were always there to answer any questions we had. Our phone in our room did not work . The pool area was a disappointment. The water was cloudy and cold Towels were laying all over the floor. The handrail going into the pool was wobbly and not very secure.

    This was supposedly designed for a personal with disabilities. The toilet in the bathroom was too low to the floor and the bathroom was not friendly accessible for somebody with disabilities. The bed was too low to the floor and there was no microwave in the room. You have to use a microwave in the hallway. I’ve never heard of that at a Hyatt hotel or Hilton Hotel or any major hotel that you have to use a microwave in the hallway …unfathomable!

    The hotel rooms and pool area are extremely dated. The hotel room itself is like an oven. Even after calling maintenance to open a window and getting a fan it was uncomfortable sleeping and just existing in the room.

    Other than the lobby the place was so dirty. Our room had MOLD in the bathroom and the dirty box springs were left visible with no sheets on them. My daughter woke up with a bug bite on her so naturally I was worried there were bed bugs with the environment. We didn’t see any but when I lifted the sheets, the under sheets were stained yellow. The pool area was also disgusting. Rust around the pool everywhere and had an awful smell in the area. The pool look itself looked poorly taken care of and was genuinely concerned about letting my kids swim in it. The only positive was the front desk staff was incredibly nice, but everything was terrible.

    The guestroom was clean and accommodating for 4 persons. However, only three (3) sets of towels were available. Note: when you have the number of persons confirmed in one room, make sure the towel sets, pillows and other in-room amenities accommodate all four persons.     Beautiful building, historical value (Genesse). The room was spacious but the view out the window was ugly, seeing a rooftop. The worst part of the experience was the lack of heat. We called room service and a technician came to reintroduce heat to our room. The amount of heat was barely adequate, the washroom was left cold.

    Check in was at 4 pm. We were there at 4:20 and told that the single King rooms were not ready yet and we would have to wait. Unacceptable as we had plans to be somewhere and needed to do a quick turn after check in. Instead os solutions, we just got excuses until we got stern and were give a junior suite for 1 room and 2 double for another. Just a bad experience overall.

    We were welcomed by Daryl at the front desk who was very helpful, courteous, informative, and has a great personality. Every hotel should have a “Daryl”. Lobby bar/restaurant is bright, food was good and the staff were pleasant. Our room was clean, well appointed and the bed was comfortable.

    Check in experience was lacking. Originally assigned a room with no heat (50 degrees). Called the desk to notify them and they said someone from engineering would come take a look. An hour later after no one had showed called back and requested a new room. Advised hotel was very busy but was sending someone from engineering right away. Worker arrived, could not get the heat fixed after 30 minutes. Worker then called and advised them to move us and stated someone would deliver keys to a different room. Took another 30 minutes for keys to show up. Moved to a room with two double beds with a large separate seating area from a corner room with a king bed. No offer from management to make it right.

    I love how QUIET it was in the room. I cannot underscore enough how big of a deal the quiet is. The lobby is beautiful. The only negative is the restaurant on site (Genesee I think? ) had 1 girl working Saturday night, she spent all her time at the bar and virtually ignored me for 20 mins didn't even greet me & then was rude & dismissive "I'm busy." I was 1 person & it was NOT at all crowded...Finally had to flag another lady working & she apologized for the service & even brought me a snack but for 1 person who just wanted 1 entrée & no drinks, i was there over 2 hours. Again, was not that busy. Otherwise great experience dinnerwas delicious when it finally came. Hotel was clean, quiet, front-end staffing were all top notch 👌

    The King room was average at best, with some upgrades but could still use some additional improvements. The bed was okay but could feel it already had some indents, pillows were good. Small fridge. No view of the city. The walls are very thin, we could hear the gentlemen in the suite beside us and anyone using the washroom above us. No fan in the bathroom. Microwave down the hall where the ice machine (broken) was located. The hotels location is very convenient with restaurants and shopping nearby or within a very short drive. There is ample parking directly across the street on two different blocks (plus the on-site valet for an additional daily cost).

    This hotel is currently going through an employee/union issue. So when you arrive, you'll be greeted with a giant inflatable rat out front along with protesting employees. Check in was fast and the room was great. The pillows are basically useless, so flat. And there is no air conditioning in the winter, which I like to sleep in the cold.

    The desk attendant asked me how was my stay but he clearly didn't mean it because when I said the room was hot and I turned off the heat completely as the sign directed, he said well, it's an old building and I should've requested a box fan. Yeah dude, I'll call you all for a box fan that I don't know you have at 3am. Would be helpful if they got in front of this problem with signage.

    This hotel is involved in a labor dispute right now. I wish I had known that before I booked. Barely any staff and nothing open the stated hours. They couldn’t even advise us on a ride from the station at 5am, much less send a shuttle. The room was not clean. Overall, that Hyatt is not up to current Hyatt standards, physically or staffing. Buffalo is a Union town and Hyatt needs to stop union-busting!

    The staff treated us so well. Everyone was very friendly. The reason my rating is so poor is because of the state of the room. The room had a terrible smell to it. We sprayed ferbreeze but that did little to nothing to get rid of the smell. The carpets and furniture had awful stains on them. The room just looked dirty. Also it was very cold in the room. We tried adjusting the temperature but it did nothing. Went to the pool and the room where the pool was also very cold. The water in the pool was a good temperature but it seems like the had cool air blowing into the room. It was not possible to stay in the pool. I feel like I did not get my money’s worth with my stay. Literally the only pleasant things were the friendly staff and the Starbucks in the lobby.

The hotel itself is looking a bit tired and it was unfortunately full of self-entitled city folk during my stay (not their fault, I guess and not at all like the other hotels I stayed at in Buffalo). The biggest issue I had was with the wait times for the lifts. I gave up and used the stairs quite a few times - fortunately I was only on floor 4!

    Check in was easy, lots of parking nearby, room was spacious and there are lots of reviews about having no heat but there was heating in our room so we were able to get it nice and warm. (king bed room on the 10th floor) The free wifi is horrendous and our data barely worked in the room. I think they know that which is why they offer better wifi for a fee, but it's almost 2026..... not including wifi is a little ridiculous. Bed was comfy and TV was huge. Great location, we just walked the 20 minutes to and from our event at the arena.

    Great stay. Staff were great and helpful, place was clean. My only negative point was the valet being so expensive for having to wait so long. The poor people doing the valet have to walk quite far to go fetch the vehicles. Also, the ticket process for the keys is faulty as they took our ticket the day before and didn’t hand it back so when we texted to get our vehicle it was a hassle to get it back since we didn’t have our number but it was our vehicle. Thankfully our app could confirm it was our car.

    The floor wasn’t quiet at all. The children woke me up many times during the night, I can’t believe children can play on the floor of a hotel, especially one that’s rated so highly! The room itself wasn’t bad, but the heating system and water pipes in the bathroom kept making noise all the time, which was very annoying. The entrance, lounge, and lobby are the best parts of this hotel. But to be honest, I’ve booked many hotels before, and they were much more comfortable and quieter than this one.

    This hotel is disgusting. There is mold in the bathroom. Stains all over the rooms, every mattress is broken, the carpet is sticky, show dirty. What more do you need to hear? The bar team was rude. There is no room service. The person working the pantry was mean to people. The restaurant turned people away a full 30 min before closing. Waste of money. This place is gross and not an enjoyable experience.

    Two things that stand out. One, there is no handicap parking available at the hotel, unless you are willing to pay the fee for valet parking, which was $29.50/night, and it seems punitive to have people with mobility issues to need to pay to park to stay at the hotel. I was told by the person I called that if I had mobility issues, perhaps it would be better to park across the street in a pay lot. Two, when we arrived at 3pm we were told our room wasn't ready by a young woman at the desk. She took my phone number and said a text would be sent once the room was ready. When I asked if she could estimate how long it would be she told me tersely that normal check in time wasn't until after 4pm. We sat in the lobby for another 20 minutes watching everyone that came to the desk get room keys and proceed to the elevators. At that point I returned to the desk to ask if there was something we could have done differently to get a room faster because obviously they had rooms, everyone else was going to their rooms. The gentleman asked me my name, and if I needed to have an 'accessible' room. When I made the reservation, it assigned me an available room which happened to be accessible, but it wasn't required, and because this gentleman asked me if I needed one (which the young woman didn't) he was able to switch rooms and give us a room key right away. If the young woman had mentioned an accessible room or asked me if I needed one, it would be have been easier to avoid frustrat

    This location was showing its age in a few places but the overall experience was good. I was disappointed in the breakfast possibilities. I remember reading that made to order was available at the restaurant however this was not the case. Choices were a $26 buffett and the Starbucks café. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The location was perfect.

    Great stay. Location is perfect. Walking distance to all the fun shops, eateries and bars. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and stocked. The only thing that stood out was the large vent over the door appeared to not have been cleaned in a long time and the hairdryer had a stain. Overall it was a good stay.

    Football weekend. Excellent downtown location with numerous sports bars, and restaurants, including steakhouses, and other culinary choices within easy walking distance. Nice lobby bar, Starbucks on site, and big, comfortable seating area for large party gatherings. The area is also very well lit in the evening.

    News of this property being “the worst” Hyatt Regency are greatly, GREATLY exaggeratedz. First off, it has one of the more impressive lobbies around and I don’t think the guest rooms are all that bad. Yes, there’s a light in our room that doesn’t work and some of the doors in the hallway are janky…but it feels clean and is presentable. The staff are nice and I was able to check in a full four hours early. The area around the place is hit or miss, I went for a few walks and there are people asking for money that stick close to the heavy traffic/touristy areas. As long as you go about your business, they won’t bother you but remember to be kind.

    Property was nice. Well placed in downtown, close to some cute restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. Pool water was a bit cloudy/dirty and cold so didn't go in it. Wifi didn't work midway through the stay. Staff was all very friendly, excellent customer service.

    The lobby was really cool but don’t let that fool you. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The carpets were stained and the wallpaper had cracks in it. The hotel has potential it is just past due for a renovation. Parking was not secure and several blocks away.

    As soon as we got there (it was late), the toilet in our room flooded. Not just a little, the entire bathroom had a 1/2 of standing water. when I went to the front desk to try to find staff I had to wait 15 minutes as no one was there, no one responded to my calls, and when I rang the phone number I could hear it ringing and no one answered. They finally fixed it after about 40 minutes, but it did it again in the morning, spilling into the carpeted area of the room. Also, the iron leaked water all over my clothes, staining them. Not a good stay.

    Service was excellent check in was easy. Parking is either 29 dollar valley, 12 dollar parking next door or free from 5pm-8am on the street. The room was filthy. I won’t ever stay at the hotel again. There was an empty water bottle under the nightstand, dirty floor when I walked onto the 11th floor. I knew it was a dirty hotel when I saw the lint and bits of stuff all over the floor. Same with inside the room. I dropped my phone and looked for it behind the bed and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year. The overall appearance of the room was dinged and aged.

    The hotel and most of its facilities and fitness center were dirty, not properly cleaned, and worn down. The room was not clean including the bathroom and garbage on the floor under the desk/table in the room from prior occupants. Wallpaper was peeling in common areas/hallways. The $25 breakfast buffet was limited and there was hair in the breakfast potatoes. Multiple plates stacked at the buffet line for use by guests were dirty.

    The carpets were dirty and the pillows didn’t smell clean! The carpets needed a cleaning, the ice machine was broken, the bathroom smelled like urine! The people were very friendly. I didn’t use the pool, but the people that were in it stated it was cold!! The stairs led outside and not the lobby as expected. So you are forced to use the elevator despite long waits! Valet was backed up causing traffic delays. Just use the lot across the street for cheaper and more accessible!

    Nice room. Issues with the elevators. Of three elevators only one worked. Ice machines broken on all floors but the 11th and 12th. You have to pay for valet parking. When checking in the front desk clerk was not welcoming. Very rude. Comfortable bed. Clean room.

    Check in was great and hotel valet was very nice. For the size of the room (Jr. Suite) I was expecting a larger more modern bathroom, it was very small and compact. Hotel provided toiletries were very small, and we had to ask for more (3 day visit) with one teeny bottle of shampoo was not going to cut it. I was very dissatisfied that breakfast was $25 per person. While the food was good, it was the same every morning. I've stayed at cheaper hotels and had great breakfast that was included. Overall stay was great and food from the bar and restaurants were good.
