This historic property is filled with art deco touches. The bed was comfortable, shower pressure good, soft towels. We were disappointed that there is no on site food option, particularly for breakfast.
- 4/5
It was a very interesting place to stay. Good location, and convenient. We enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
The hotel room, amenities and building were fine, but I was denied the free parking because the front desk said AFTER I parked in the garage that they ran out of parking vouchers for the month. I had to pay a total of $18 for parking for just a one-night stay. This isn't a huge amount, but the point is that it was unannounced. It's hard to believe that a 3-star hotel in the 2nd biggest city in NY State provides a limited, first come, first served approach to parking.

Beautiful old building. Room looked nice. Everything else. They have wedding receptions on the same floor where guests are staying. It was loud all night 2 of the 3 nights I was there, with the first two nights including wedding guests screaming in the halls until past 4am and loud music making it impossible to sleep... on a Wednesday. The bar on site doesn't post hours, no idea when it's open, or if it's open. Housekeeping gave us new towels one day when we'd hung them up, then left our towels on the floor the next day when we assumed we'd get new ones after the previous experience. No amenities on site, no coffee, breakfast, anything. Front desk couldn't recommend a place to find breakfast. Area is dead after 5pm. Bed too soft, like... comically soft.
- 3/5
Shower/tub set up was quite odd and temp control on shower was challenging. Desk staff was polite.

Prosperity was in a central location but the room wasn’t clean dusty. tv wasn’t working and the recess light in the the room was blinking.
- 1/5
I was over charged $100 and I’d love to know why… I booked for $201 and I was charged $301
- 1/5
The front desk clerks were the worst I have ever seen. Mostly, we didn't even see them. The beautiful lobby was completely empty every time we walked through. The front desk clerks obviously hated their job. We only met one other couple during our four-day stay and they agreed it was creepy staying at the Lafayette and the clerks were almost non existent with very bad attitudes.
- 4/5
This was a very unique hotel! Loved the old time look and decor! Staff was friendly, our room was not ready at the check in hour, we had to wait another 40 minutes before getting into the room. Our bed was not overly comfortable for us. They supposedly serve coffee till 2 pm, but after that they don’t. No coffee shops close to the hotel. Rooms are nice and unique in themselves, the doors to the rooms are solid wood, beautiful.

Good as always

Overall pleasant experience, originally front desk staff charged me a 2 second time

Historic hotel 🫶🏻Actually rates out closer to 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Things to consider: No parking, hotel staff MIA and not helpful (low quality), no amenities, gym was the worse of the worst almost dangerous. However, the property is well maintained, and the room was quite nice. Had a fireplace 🔥. I stayed here because there was a coffee shop in the hotel that was very good but it has since closed, The entire area around the hotel is in a state of decline unfortunately. I hope they can save it 🙏

Good downtown location, but the hotel is missing a lobby bar and a coffee shop. Not many people at the hotel, kind of strange.

Good experience. Stayed there five times for Sabres games already
- 3/5
Bathroom privacy compromised, terrible sliding doors that open and leave gaps. Fireplaces in both rooms not functional. Huge clocks in both room are pretty cool, except neither of them worked. Mattresses need to be replaced , and fire detector flashed above the bed all night long. Staff was welcoming , polite and helpful. Cafe is great although nothing past afternoon. Good location
- 1/5
They offer early check in online for $40 however when I called to request one I was told that I would have to wait till I arrived at the hotel to see if it was available. Naturally we arrived at 2 and were told the room wasn’t ready which, fine. We wait around till 3 to check in and when we get to our room it hasn’t been cleaned. Towels all over the bathroom. We spoke to the front desk manager who was as understanding as he could be. After around 20 more minutes we got a different room this one was clean, however. After spending about 5 minutes in the room we started

This hotel is in a historic building, built in 1904, which was interesting, but you need to be prepared for what that entails. It took forever to heat our room, the windows were quite drafty, there were lots of noises (creaks, bumps, street noise) but for a 2 night stay, it served it's purpose.
- 5/5
Fourth time staying here for a Sabres game. Looking forward to returning again
- 5/5
If I had to critique one thing. The coffee in the room was horrible.

Beautiful place! Our room was adorable and clean! The staff were friendly and welcoming! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful rooms
- 4/5
The room was clean and well stocked with basic necessities. The staff was very friendly and went beyond in their duties to accommodate. I would definitely stay there again.
- 1/5
Disappointed was like faults advertising on their web.. room was smaller than expected.. not recommended
- 1/5
The staff were terrible, poor check in experience - no customer service or care from several (all) staff encountered. The hotel and rooms are oversold, I feel ripped off. Most of the property is empty, not used, it seems to be a building that was completely run down, then only half fixed up. It is a half baked property.
- 3/5
If you looking for a place to stay for an event, this will work. But I would not stay here for more than one or two nights. It is in a good location if your looking to walk to bars or Key Bank arena. The room was small. The pictures make it look more elegant than in person. This is an old building that made into a hotel.
- 4/5
Check in was very easy. Parking garage was just down the the street. The hotel the old as expected. Rooms were very nice, clean, warm and comfortable. Minor issues, door handle to the bathroom was falling off, tub drain didn't seal for a bath. With a few updates, everything would be perfect. As a side note, the attached cafe for breakfast was absolutely amazing!!!! Would certainky stay again, only a 15 minute walk to the Key Bank Center.
- 5/5
Very roomy, nice & clean. I would highly recommend this hotel. Would stay here again. Please note that if you leave and have a night out, door is locked and you will need to be buzzed in. I would enquire if you plan to leave the hotel and come back late.
- 2/5
Building is outdated. As soon as you walk in to the lobby, the room is filled with the smell of curry. Our room had pieces of the wall missing. Room is very small. Walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything, including the plumbing, the one thing that was nice was the bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was clean & organized check in & check out went well
- 1/5
The bed was hard as were all four pillows. Worse, we were repeatedly awakened by what sounded like water running through the walls, footsteps upstairs, and loud voices in the halls.

I had a few issues with my initial room, which required a switch. After showing the manager some pics, she quickly resolved by moving and upgrading me to a really nice corner suite. Perhaps it was the cold in buffalo, but even setting the thermostat to 80+, it never blew hot air. Glad there was an extra blanket in the closet. I'm sure this was once the Grand Dame of Buffalo with lots of design elements from a past era, but some attention to the lobby are in order. I understand that a grill/bar/restaurant are in the works, which will be a nice feature to have (the connecting coffee shop doesn't open until 8am!!!).

This is a very unique hotel and it was actually a fun spot with a great cafe attached. The area was within walking distance to several restaurants but not safe at night. I enjoyed this hotel very much.

The parking was kind of goofy, the metered parking nearby is app only, the meters do not explicitly state this

Room condition was fine. Wasn’t happy that $200 dollars was taken out from my bank account as a deposit till when I left without anyone telling me.
- 4/5
Nothing stood out, staff was barely seen often in the office downstairs instead of at the desk. Was not made aware of any amenities, or anything really- the person that checked us in didn’t really say much, felt like we were disturbing her and at check out the person took the key and didn’t say anything. No info was given about the hotel, the area or anything. Room was alright, did what it needed to do but ice machine was broken and fridge barely chilled things. Overall it was a basic stay, in what I thought would’ve been a better stay.

Nice big room. Love the fireplace. There was hair on the pillow and the lady at the front desk in the evening was not very friendly. That’s the reason for a 4 star rating. The lady at the front desk in the morning was so nice and cheerful. We will stay again.
- 5/5
Great old hotel. Lobby was beautiful. Hallways were spacious and very nice. The room was just the right size. Everywhere we turned there was something unique and interesting to see. If you like old buildings with modern amenities this is a great hotel to stay at.
- 2/5
The parking situation is off-site about one block which was a little odd. She called it the “Adam ramp” and gave an address, was not very clearly indicated and difficult to know if we were even in the right parking lot. You only find out by using the QR code to get out. We tested it right away to make sure we had the right lot. We had to request a new room because the initial room smelled like someone smoked weed in the room despite their non-smoking policy. Front desk seemed a little perturbed at us asking for this and were not apologetic for the state of the room. A new room was given to us that was in a fine state but had a bed downgrade to a queen bed instead of a king which was annoying but not annoying enough to ask for a third new room with the proper amenities that we paid for.
- 5/5
I love the history in the hotel
- 3/5
The room was cold upon arrival so we just amended the thermostat, however, one of the remotes didn't work so one TV wasn't functional. Then the banquet we were there for was unheated! It was 8 degrees that day. They were bringing out space heaters and all of us in nice dresses were wearing jackets.
- 5/5
Room is spotless. The front desk staff was friendly and happy to help at both check in and check out. Great stay and would recommend!
- 5/5
Exceptional staff. Nice clean room and handy for eating, drinking, and the train station.
- 4/5
Old school but nice
- 3/5
Clean. The hotel was not busy and they put all the guests right next to each other and I was in a room that just looked at the side of the building and a bunch of garbage on the roof. Odd decision making.
- 4/5
The room was just great. The location was also very good. The hotel is old, but has been remodeled and is in great shape. It apparently has a history of being haunted---and you could see why, sort of a "The Shining" vibe, but we experienced no ghosts or apparitions :). Highly recommend.
- 3/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is strange. The bed was small, the room was a little beat up and the hotel has basically no amenities. There’s a coffee shop in the lobby that’s open 8am-2pm, aside from that there is nothing - no vending machine, no restaurant, no bottled water… Very basic.
- 1/5
Advertising this hotel as Unique Historic Upscale Lodging is outrageous.
- 4/5
We stay here about once a year when we are in town for a Sabres game. Always clean, great rooms, close to arena. Easy access to parking nearby. Will return!
- 5/5
Everything was clean. Staff helpful. Nice vintage hotel with modern rooms.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, room very clean and chic, the lobby could stand to be cleaned up a bit but nice stay
- 4/5
Overall good hotel for price and location
- 5/5
Large clean room. All good
- 2/5
Staff wasn't very knowledgable or forth coming with info. No valet and parking garage down the street. Lobby not very inviting. My room jad no heat had to get a heater from front desk. Fire alarm went off but was a false alarm but rhe stairs were not clearly marked and staff was very limited. I saw one person on staff. No lobby bar or restaurants. I will be aaking for some sort of compensation for a poor experience.
- 1/5
The room felt old and rundown, the carpet was sticky, the bathroom floor tiles were very dirty, the bed was old and uncomfortable, the lobby was nothing like the picture, it was dark and rundown. The shades were falling off the runners, just horrible
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Our room was clean and comfortable. The historic appeal of the hotel was awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
The coffee pot was filthy. So i had wash it before i could use it. The safety deposit box was locked so we couldn't use it. The bed side tables are extremely low, practically unusable. Bed was comfortable. Conveniently located. Overall i would give it a 3.
- 5/5
This hotel was a beautiful old building with unique architecture and comfortable, high-ceiling rooms. It was in a great location, allowing for easy walking to the arena, waterfront, and free tram. The only thing to be aware of is that there is a large population of homeless in the area that can make one feel unsafe, especially at night. It is not the fault of the hotel just an unfortunate reality of the times.
- 3/5
Room was very spacious. Bed was not very comfortable, however, the pillows were. Shower was missing some tiles but other than that it was clean and well kept.
- 4/5
I would have liked the customer service to be better
- 2/5
Couldn’t tell if I was sleeping on the floor or the bed; the mattress was a rock. Dirty floor as well.
- 4/5
It’s a little tired. The upgraded Jr suite was nice. Staff was less than engaged. The homeless numbers around this area is getting to be uncomfortable.
- 4/5
Downtown Buffalo isn't what she was when the Lafayette Hotel was built. I would not want to arrive or depart this hotel after dark, at least not alone. By daylight it is okay. This is an old hotel but the condition is pretty nice. The staff was very helpful and available. Parking is about a block away in a garage which again is alright by daylight. The bed was comfortable and the water was plentiful and hot in the shower. The experience here is a nice mix of stately old Hotel Grandeur with mostly updated furnishings.
- 5/5
Loved the room. The bed was comfortable. Loved the fireplace.
- 3.5/5
Generally everything was OK. I was at a conference nearby so didn't spend that much time in the hotel Lack of catering in the afternoon and evening was a disappointment. Didn't realise the adjacent coffee shop closed at 2.00pm until I got there. There were times when the room was quite noisy. Seemed like an adjacent door slamming or maybe water hammer in the pipework. Wasn't aware that the rooms were not serviced on a daily basis. Didn't see that in any of the hotel literature. It was 3 days before my room was serviced. Not a huge deal but would have been nice to know. The "fireplace" didn't seem to work no matter what I did with the remote or the switch. One of the ceiling lights seemed to be blown. The switches on the bedside lights are rather inaccessible.
- 2/5
When i checked in, a couple was in my room sleeping. The front desk didn't have an explanation. They moved me but I wanted to leave. The hallway carpets are dirty, the elevator was dirty. This isn't 3.5. It's 2.5 at best.
- 0.5/5
Lovely old art deco hotel, the location is fine too. Someone tried to rob me while I stayed at the hotel. - Stayed at the hotel for 1 night; - When I got back from a show in Barclays center and it was around 11:30 pm I got a call which was weird enough on its own; - The voice said that they want to give me something on a front desk. When I tried to clarify what they repeated “something” and that I should come to the front desk; - Since it seemed quite weird I took my phone, docs and wallet with me; - A guy at the front desk asked if I ordered some delivery - after two confirmations on my side that I didn’t he asked to wait and disappeared for several minutes; - After he appeared again he said it was a mistake and wished me good night; - When I got back the drawers in the room were open - someone had definitely searched through them. I was staying for 1 night only and only had 1 medium bag and didn’t bother to use the drawers etc. Haven’t called the police since nothing got stolen and I was leaving the next day but I won’t recommend the hotel to anyone
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great, clean area in Downtown Buffalo. Walking distance from restaurants and sightseeing. The hotel is gorgeous! Room are decent.

Cool old hotel. Nice staff at check in. Rooms are very dated. Bed was too soft (uncomfortably so) and the curtains didnt keep the light out of the room. Expected much nicer for the price paid for the room.

Could be a very nice boutique hotel. Broken items in the hotel rooms, found other people’s items in places that should have been cleaned before our arrival.

The young lady that checked us in, her demeanor was very much like the decor, drabby.
- 4/5
Hotel itself was nice. Area outside had loud construction during the day and loud vehicles at night.
- 3/5
It had weird people hanging around building.
- 1/5
Old building. No fridge. Room was dark and it had no view. It’s just facing other side of the same hotel. Felt cluster phobic.
- 4/5
Hotel is historic & very beautiful. Room was spacious & comfortable. No on-site restaurants except for coffee shop (which had excellent food but only til 2pm) and no on-site parking, which were too bad.
- 4/5
Clean
- 4/5
The room was great. The fitness room could use a makeover. Public Espresso is the best coffee shop in Buffalo, hands down!
- 5/5
The bed, shower/tub, and overall layout of the room are great! I booked the hotel because my wife loves Art Deco and we were not disappointed! We attended a Buffalo Bisons game that was just a few blocks away! I highly recommend Hotel Lafayette for you stay in Buffalo!
- 3/5
What a weird negative feature to an otherwise great hotel. If staff actually care to ask, comments would be shared. Minimal interaction at check in and out, which is also slightly weird (but not negative) but efficient.
- 3/5
I love the building. So much history. We stayed here about 5 years ago. It just seems like things are slipping a bit in terms of amenities and overhaul care of the property. The restaurant is now closed and other rooms in the hotel not being used. It just feels like they are moving backwards. I get it. I know it’s a large building and if business hasn’t been that good or guest levels have been down, it doesn’t make sense to keep everything open, but I just feel its definitely a downward trend. It’s a shame. Such a beautiful building.
- 5/5
Parking is a bit expensive and a hassle. Other than that is was a great place to stay. We enjoyed our stay!!!
- 2/5
This property needs investment. Staff was not very professional. The first room I was given was made up. Second was so humid that furniture was damp. Floor tiles were missing in the shower. The hotel is dark and dingy. The neighborhood wasn’t great. Would not recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
No parking provided you have to park street side. A lot of homeless around and walking nearby was not safe.
- 3/5
Our stay was ok.
- 1/5
It was dirty and moldy. Stains on the floor and furniture.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
Water only on day 1, the same with shampoo and soap.
- 1/5
of the street next to the hotel (Clinton) and had worked there for 2 years. Also didn’t know anything about on-street parking (Buffalo Roam). Gave me an accessible room (no big deal) but shower had floor tile pieces missing. Fitness room In basement is a dump.
- 3/5
Very dreary lobby. Told to let the coffee house attached that we were guests for no reason.
- 3/5
I will never stay at, or recommend, this hotel to anyone. The room was dark and not cleaned properly. The neighborhood is terrible in the evenings, and there are no onsite parking facilities and few nearby restaurants after business hours. If you don't have an available car, this is a useless place to stay.
- 4/5
Like it, need to leave early due to family issue
- 4/5
When I checked in and went to room 205, it was a small, dark room with a window looking out onto the bottom of the tiny "courtyard" with windows on all sides. When I went back and asked if there were any rooms available looking out, I was pleasantly surprised to be given room 203 instead - a bigger, nicer room with a bigger bed and windows with a view looking north, for the same price. What fantastic customer service! All of the folks at the front desk were very nice and pleasant as well.
- 2/5
The bathroom had mold all in the shower. There was also mold in the coffee package when we opened it up. Not as clean as we would have liked it to be.
- 2/5
Older poorly updated property. Not worth the money we paid. The room was spacious but the walls were super thin. We heard everyone and everything outside our room.
- 5/5
The Lafayette Hotel was absolutely gorgeous, proudly displaying its art-deco era style. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. This hotel is close to everything in downtown Buffalo. The only issue I had was the overpowering air fresheners being pumped into the hallways. It was just too much.
- 1/5
or Wyndham again.
- 4/5
I will recommend it .
- 4/5
I love the art deco, history, and the experience of staying at this property. Hotel staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The area looks like an area time left behind — some may find that unappealing, I didn’t mind. The shower had three holes in the shower wall, 3 small shower tiles are missing, and there are holes in the wall above the toilet that loomed like they were for a towel racks — the room I stayed in needed some maintenance; I can’t speak for other rooms. I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Just only complain was no microwave
- 5/5
The hotel is my favorite in Buffalo and possibly my favorite of any of your properties. That said, the second floor was overwhelmed with a scent cover up spray. Our room (217) was clean and comfortable. The only criticism is the bathroom door handle was loose. It just needs to have the set screw tightened.
- 4/5
A nice 3 night stay in this beautiful old historic hotel. Lots of history to explore with informative explanation boards. My room was huge and clean, as was the bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable allowing a great sleep. Very quiet. Convenient PowerPoints and charging points. Good hot water and water pressure. Good Wifi. Room had a microwave, fridge, iron, room safe, lounge and desk. Easy check-in. Excellent Cafe on the ground floor. Perfect central location at Lafayette Square. Lots of restaurants and bars close by and easy walk to light rail (street car), Amtrak Station, Bus terminal, Buffalo Bisons stadium, City Hall and Theatre District. Relaxed stay and would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
I liked the architecture of the building. The only thing i didn't like was there was 2 steps up into the bathroom. And if you have to get up in the middle of night you have to disturb the other person sleeping.
- 4/5
Sad to see the bar is gone.

The restaurant went out of business, and there were no vending machines or walkable restaurants in proximity that open after 2 PM. There is a coffee shop in the lobby, but it has limited hours. The beds are super comfy and we attended an event at the hotel and the food served was wonderful along with very attentive staff staff, but if you’re looking for something after the event, there is nothing around. Parking is nearby in a garage no valet that we saw. It will not be my first hotel to choose from when visiting downtown Buffalo if you’re looking for a hotel that has amenities outside of a room.
- 3/5
While historic - it was noisy, and furniture / floors were worn or stained - neat building / concept but just a little worn
- 5/5
The service at the front desk is always nice and willing to answer any questions that we have with a smile
- 4/5
The room was clean and nice for a one night stay. No microwave or mini fridge was slightly disappointing. The check in staff were very nice and let us check in a little early. The evening staff were rude and told us there was no food on site when we asked about breakfast, even though there is a little cafe that serves a bunch of yummy food options...
- 4/5
I liked how the hotel was decorated in an Art-Deco architectural style. The room I stayed in really did wonders.
- 4/5
Overall we loved our stay and plan to stay again in a few months. Our only "complaint" is that we could hear EVERYTHING above and around our room. Also, at like 1am there was a bunch of people in the hall yelling. Not the hotel's fault but it should have been addressed. Our room was so cute and unique!
- 3/5
The hotel is not in a great condition. Our door wouldn't lock from the outside. The hotel feels old and worn out.
- 2/5
We rented a junior suite. We had to move furniture in order to be able to open the pull out bed for our dghtr. The gas fireplace did not work. Hair dyer did not work. In the shower, an empty opened bottle of body wash was what was left for us to use, thankfully we brought our own. Weird setup with a full length window in the shower to the bedroom. Anyone in bedroom can do a peep show with the flimsy curtain on the window (also 1" gap around curtain that doesnt even cover the window in full). There are no vending machines on premises...only coke products that can be purchased at the front desk. But two of us are bariatric patients and cannot have carbonation. Only hotel we have ever stayed at that didnt have onsite vending. When mentioned to front desk, we were just dismissed. For the price point, expected more. We will not be return customers
- 2/5
The room was absolutely freezing. The thermostat was not working or so it seemed. We returned from a concert late and there was no one to call
- 5/5
Great experience. Friendly staff. Beautiful room and very clean.
- 4/5
Our room was very clean. We could tell that they use a bleach product because you could smell it. It wasn’t overwhelming though. Customer service was great.

The hotel itself was very vintage feeling & beautiful. However, it is outdated and has a really strong odor of some sort. There is also NO sense of security. Anyone can walk in the bulding and access the elevators, regardless of if you have a room. The hotel has doors that lead the the street and other businesses that people can enter through. This will ultimately deter us from staying here again. The bed was comfortable, but no fridge in the room and the shower had chipped and missing tiles.

The room was mildly shabby with some cracked bathroom tile, a loose faucet and marks on the wall. The bed was comfy. The hotel seemed deserted ( it was the middle of winter in Buffalo) although a Life insurance group came the next night. The in-hotel jazz/bar/lounge is closed along with a restaurant. Sad...

Our rooms toilet didn’t work so they put us in a smaller room

I did not have a "Do not disturb" door tag for my room, but I also did not seek one out.

Loved the architecture and historical references associated with this building. The hotel is very cozy, and homelike. Also close to everything in downtown Buffalo

Great place with great staff

Amazing

Love the historic building, it is beautiful. The lobby could feel a bit more welcoming. The room was fantastic, very comfortable. Only issue is we would have preferred a double vanity or just more room at the vanity. The shower worked fine but definitely needs an adjustment. The staff who serviced the room did an excellent job - the front desk staff did not give off a welcoming vibe. Overall, would stay again and recommend to anyone.

This hotel is on its last legs. Every amenity is closed except for a cafe that has very limited hours.

Excellent location and fabulous staff

This room was absolutely stunning! It was huge, spotless, and super comfortable. I think it might have been the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in.

Great place! But they over charged me.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms had no refrigerator or microwave. It was convenient for what we had planned to do. The parking was a block away and not convenient if you had alot of luggage.

Very classy old style hotel with big room and felt like being at home.

Bed uncomfortable, was clean , price was ok ,room was small, not what was expected from pictures !

Our only complaints were that our fireplace didn't work and the bathroom door was a barn door setup but there was a large gap when it was closed. I was going to report the fireplace to the front desk, but no one was there when we left for our event (or when we returned). I would recommend this hotel.

Great stay!

Our toilet did not work, no maintenance on site. After I booked it, two days later I was told no valet parking or onsite restaurant
- 3/5
Room was very dark and so musty… and the shower set up was so ridiculous with no door or shower curtain

Optimistically, this once grand hotel is gradually making a comeback. However, it still has a way to go, similar to this area of downtown Buffalo. Nonetheless, we enjoyed a peak into the past, that will hopefully bode well for the future.

Loved the upgrade!

It was a horrible place, we told the desk clerk we were leaving after seeing the smelly room and we ended up with no refund so I was traumatized on my birthday trip. I am now 73.

Like the historic aspects they kept with a modern touch and classy would stay again

We stayed in Buffalo to go to a Bills game. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Stairs leading to the bathroom was a bit different but we enjoyed our stay.

When I brought it to their attention, nobody could figure out how to refund me the extra $150 right away. I had to borrow money from family so that I wouldn't be literally starving and with no gas in my car for the rest of the trip. I didn't get the money back until a few days AFTER I checked out. The hotel is beautiful and the cafe next door is very nice, but I won't be staying there again. It was unprofessional how the money situation was handled.

I loved the old time feel of the hotel but then had all the modern needs. We enjoyed being able to walk around and see the sights

Staff was wonderful and our room was amazing! Gorgeous hotel and love the historical atmosphere

Will definitely recommend to friends

Beautiful building. Shower was not working properly. No parking on site, had to park two blocks away. No food when cafe next door isn't open.

This has been our 2nd time here. There is so much history at this hotel. The hotel is very unique with the foyer furniture made with refurbished wings of a plane. The rooms are super spacious and the beds are very comfortable.

Then I arrived at 3:10 to check in. I saw a couple in front of me get their key cards. I am next and the staff says my room isn’t ready. I ask why. Silence. Then another couple checks in in front of me. My room is still not ready. I ask for my luggage and if it’s ok to check in somewhere else and if I can get a refund. Silence. I ask for a manage he hands me a business card. I ask if there is any room available and I will pay extra. He says he can check. Why didn’t he try to do that instead of me offering choices. I apologize for being mean to him but it was the most frustrating experience.

The hotel was nice. But I had an issue with the staff. My toilet didn't work and i found this out at 9:30 pm so I called the desk and asked to have it fixed or.to swich rooms and the lady at the desk told me there was no one in who can fix it lt and there were no open rooms. 15 minutes later i got a call from the front desk saying they had a room. My issue was being lied to at first. Toilets break but lies are not ok.

The air conditioning didn’t cool the room enough and there were stains on the carpet. Overall the room was clean but felt a little clammy because of the air conditioning.
- 3/5
Hotel lobby is bleak- poor lighting. Mattress needs to be replaced - severe breakdown on 1 side. No door on the shower. Consequently the water was all over the floor in the sink area. There were 2 steps to get into the bathroom area. Hotel is very quiet. Good location for downtown activities.

Price was great. It is an old hotel with older amenities. Clean. Parking was a block away but reasonable. I gave it a 3 star rating because it is simply an older hotel that has seen better days.

Great historic hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
