Best Western on the Avenue

When we return to Buffalo, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Rooms are very clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. Have free breakfast from 7am to 10am and a wide selection. Couldn't ask for a better stay.

Without a doubt Troy, the hotel manager was working the front desk and that man made every bit of staying there worth the experience. The rooms were great, comfortable and spacious. We felt like we were treated as if we'd stayed many times before! Troy, the general manager gave us a great idea for dinner (Southern Tier Brewery) & then suggested the girls take an Uber home from their concert. Breakfast was FANTASTIC!!! N/A

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean. Breakfast was delicious, they had plain eggs, eggs with peppers and sausage, hash browns, ham, belgian waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt and fruit! The parking lot was on the small side. There weren’t enough spots so we ended up having to park on the road with a hotel parking pass on our dash. We were there when the hotel was very full though so it may have been at full capacity.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing area and the lounge was very nice and clean all of the staff that we bypassed on the way downstairs greeted us with a good morning. The establishment was extremely clean and very quiet. We got a jet pool room and it as huge. Biggest one I’ve seen in a hotel room. Just for size reference, I’m not a small girl. Neither is my girlfriend. We both comfortably inside the Jacuzzi. I actually I fell asleep in it lol. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer.

We had an excellent visit to Best Western On The Avenue! The front desk staff were lovely upon arrival and check-in was a breeze. We were very pleasantly surprised with the Jetted Tub room where the Whirlpool hot tub was clean and functioned perfectly. The bathroom was ideal with a large shower, mirrors and a very unique red light bulb option. The Keurig, microwave and fridge in room were great amenities. The hotel was walking distance from plenty of bars and restaurants on beautiful Allen St. We loved being greeted by our new bird friend Simba at the front desk whenever we passed. The TV in-room had cable but we weren’t able to figure out the streaming apps / TV WiFi component. Can’t wait for our next stay!

We were in town for the Buffalo Marathon. Y’all did exceptional!!! Having the runners breakfast at 5am was so thoughtful and the list of pre race dinner options, just a short walk from the hotel, was also a nice touch. To everyone we encountered, thank you!!! Y’all made us Ky folks seem right at home. We also loved Simba, the hotel pet!! So awesome! Would 10/10 stay here again!

Location is great for easy walk to nice bars and restaurants, Gabriel's Gate is worth a mention, nice bar and restaurant around the corner. Parking is easy, rooms are spacious, staff are super friendly and helpful. And the parrot in reception is a nice distraction. Nothing much. Noise from lift and vending machines refrigeration was noticeable but didn't impact sleep.

Everything was great! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The only disappointing thing was that the vending machine for soft drinks accepted cash only, and card payment was not available. It would be much more convenient to have a cashless payment option.

The room was barely clean found dirty sock on the floor and no extra toilet paper. The beds only had sheets no comforter or blanket. Other than that my stay was pleasant all we really did was sleep and shower in the room . It did it's job

Last-minute trip to Buffalo. Attended Sabres playoff game. The hotel had a convenient location in Buffalo. Not too far from the rail line to the game. Staff was very nice and helpful.

What a suprise! I come to Buffalo for Live Music quite often and have avoided staying here because of what some one said many, many years ago. That's totally on me. I had to make a very last minuet booking and what a surprise. Every part of the stay was excellent. The parking was secure and free. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The property and room was spotless and obviously had been renovated. Coffee, Fridge and huge TV made all the checkpoints. Small bathroom but beautiful shower with bench. Very comfortable bedding. This is in the very walkable best of Buffalo Allentown District with all the great food, bars and Live Music. And yes, a very well done tasty free breakfast! So I learned my lesson about old preconceived notions and I will definiately be back here to see the Live shows in Buffalo!

Loved the ability to open the windows, helps you feel like you’re not in a stuffy hotel! The shower layout was very odd to say the least with no curtain and no door. I can see the vision where they thought the shower was deep enough to prevent water from going out of the shower but no…. It did not😂 the bottom of the bathroom door was peeling upwards from the constant moisture exposure and if you don’t lay a towel down right outside the shower the entire floor will be a puddle before the shower is over! Very convenient location with many things within walking distance! Would absolutely stay again if ever in the area again!

They go the extra step with good quality eggs and good variety of hot and cold breakfast. The weight room has better than average equipment to get strength training. Love the parrot too!

Dated, can definitely use a reno. And parking lot is small. We had a room with double bed and it was tiny, which sometimes is expected in the city center, but not comfortable. Location was great for dining at night.

Breakfasts at the hotel were delicious, lots of restaurants around for lunch or dinner. Only thing I didn’t like is the room was not cleaned while we were there. You were given a paper to check off anything extra you needed, ie sheets but you changed them yourself. Other than that nice place

Front desk was very efficient & helpful. Room is clean, & comfortable & quiet. Breakfast was outstanding. Including eggs, ham, waffles, cereals, bagels/toast, yogurt and fresh fruit. Manager Todd (?) Was very pleasant. Didnt see a down side to this place. Will definitely come again If in the area.

Great overnight stay for a Bills game

We stayed one night for a concert. The hotel is very nice and conveniently located to everything. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was that the sink is outside the bathroom. Some people might like that but I have never been a fan. Shower was fantastic. I didn't have the breakfast the next morning but some of my group did and they said it was good. I would stay there again.

Bathroom was dirty, towels were like cardboard. bathroom door lock was broken and didn't close all the way or lock. Window had spiders in it.

Expedia didn't send over the virtual card for payment and Farhad was amazing at getting us checked in and staying calm while phoning many different support lines. At the same time he checked others in and was training a new employee. Dude was an absolute beauty.

Issues 1) I checked out at 6 am and in my rush, I left a brand new pair of shoes in the room ($200 shoes). When I arrived home less than 24 hr later (and after searching all of my belongings) I called to ask them to send me the shoes. They said no shoes had been found in the room. They first said they were thrown away, then a manager got on the phone and said they didn't find any when they cleaned the room ... BS! Nothing they could do. So, I'm out the brand new $200 shoes. 2) Ironically, I was there for 3 days and the room was not cleaned once, and nothing was updated like towels etc. No mention was made when I checked that cleaning would not be performed and if I wanted them to clean the room. 3) Parking isn't great, but I wouldn't review that if it weren't for #1 and #2. Not sure who stayed in this hotel before and gave it a decent rating, because it's one of the worst I've stayed in, at least from a service standpoint.

Standard room - didn’t live the first floor location off the parking lot, or the shower with no door, not the whistle of the gray parrot in the evening. Didn’t have breakfast - looked at it - seemed to be standard buffet fare.

We truly appreciated the outstanding flexibility and accommodations they provided us. The room was not only clean but also incredibly spacious. And let's not forget, the breakfast food was simply amazing!

From check-in to asking questions about the mass transit system to breakfast and check-out, this place checked the boxes. Very friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast was real food not microwaved and served to the guests. Sunday breakfast was scrambled eggs with peppers and cheese, sausage or ham, and hash brown crowns. They had cereal, bagels, oatmeal, make your own waffles, yogurts, and fresh apples or bananas. The place was clean and has a special guest named Simba who is a delight!

This is one of the few hotels in the are offering complimentary parking and in this are is definitely a bonus! The rooms were clean and nicely appointed, comfortable bed, clean and high quality linens. The hotel’s breakfast and the serving/eating area was fine and the guest services agents were extremely helpful and professional. I’m both a Hilton Honors and Marriott member, but next time in Buffalo, we’ll definitely keep this hotel on our short list!

The room was ok but the front desk and elevators are old and not updated. The room was spacious. It said non-smoking but smelled of smoke so I sprayed the room. Otherwise the room was clean.

The hallway on the 3rd floor has an odor. The chairs in the dining area badly need replaced. Bedding could be updated. New pillows

The wifi in the room was marginal. There is no reason these days for not having robust wifi everywhere on a property. The coffee machine produced extremely weak coffee. Breakfast was fine for this type of establishment, but the coffee was not. There is no reason for any establishment to serve mediocre coffee.

It was quiet and clean. Pillows were plentiful. Did not like the shower area, because the water pressure was just so-so. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff was courteous. Area was easy access to the places we were visiting.

Everything about this property is great, but Simba the parrot(?), who is in the vicinity of 40 years old is spectacular. She greets you in the lobby with a nice nod of the head and was told she wanders the hallways and common areas during the day. I wish I had seen that. It was a great stay

The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good. The best thing was the bird 🐦 we were whistling and he would whistle back. He was beautiful.

When I checked out the next day, the female attendant refused to give back the copies, said they keep it for a month. I walked away fearing identity theft or credit card fraud as this hotel have photo copies of my ID and credit card.

Our three-night stay was marred by a complete lack of housekeeping service. Despite three requests to staff, our room was never cleaned. We later discovered we'd been erroneously checked out in their system. This raises serious questions: how could we still access a 'checked-out' room, and why was housekeeping not notified? Furthermore, the room's excessive noise prevented our children from sleeping. Our request for a room change was denied, citing our Expedia booking. Overall, it was a deeply unsatisfactory experience

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, SABE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I rented the jacuzzi suite for a romantic getaway for $420 they pushed our checkin back half an hour because they were behind to clean. If i could give the cleanliness a negative score I would. Garbage piled up high in the corners of the elevator (food wrappers,old food,dirt) when we arrived at our floor things got worse. The floors were stained and sticky garbage was piled up outside every room and remained there until we checked out. There were people napping in the hallways leaving more garbage thrown about. Aside from this one of the more alarming sights was a large hvac grate in the ceiling dripping black mold down the wall. In fact the black mold could be smelled the second the elevator doors opened. The room was horrible not even the bare minimum of cleaning was done. Drawer next to the bed was full of hair ashes and marijuana pieces. The jacuzzi tub was broken the seal pushed from the handle. The tub itself covered in sticky red stuff and had hairs all over it. To make matters worse it appeared that the people napping in the hallways enjoy a nice game of pounding on doors and sprinting down the hall till 3am over and over again. So all in all this has been the WORST experience ive ever had at a hotel, if youre looking for sleepless nights a good chance of getting sick from mold and the cleanliness of a stable this os the hotel for you. Oh did I mention this wonderful one night stay cost $420 pictures will be posted

We really enjoyed our stay at Best Western on the Avenue. The rating was only a 2 or 2.5 star, but we found it to be totally acceptable. The room was spotless and the breakfast offered in the morning was very nice. I'd stay here again in an instant!

We had a pleasant stay at Best Western in the Avenue. The reception staff were both kind and professional, setting a welcoming tone from the start. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with newer amenities, offering a comfortable and modern experience. Overall, it was a great choice to stay on New Year’s Eve.

Good sized room with an extra chair and a desk w/chair. Lots of pillows. Small fridge, microwave and a big TV. A lot of free parking. The breakfast was fantastic.

I really enjoy this hotel and have stated many times. It seems like they’re starting to skimp on the complimentary toiletries… I was only given one bar of soap to be shared between the sink and the shower so I washed my body with shampoo… besides that everything was element per usual!

Check in was a problem. Arrived at 1:30PM (check in is at 3:00PM). Was assured the room would be ready at 3:00PM. Came back at around 4:30PM and the room still had not been cleaned from the previous guest. Finally, was able to access the room around 5:30PM - very disappointing. On the first night, the occupants of the next door room were very loud and had to complaint to the front desk - it was then resolved. Other than those two issues, the stay was fine - consistent with previous stays at the property.

Stayed here for Bill's game. Easy to get to hotel. Easy trip to stadium. Clean and comfortable. Families note there is door for toilet and shower area only which is tight to change in if privacy required.

The lighting in my room was very dim and made my room gloomy. My bed was also uncomfortable.

A problem with the TV. It worked but it took some time for me to figure it out. How to bring up the menu but not initially realizing you can't select the channel you want by scrolling thru the menu. You need to enter the channel number when you see what channel you want. Also, the channel listing in the guide book provided did not match what came up on the TV.

We wanted accommodations close to Mother's restaurant. Would stay again when in town.

I was so relieved that we could stay in a clean and safe place that made sure we were ok.
