Quality Inn Brunswick

I went in to get my key card, people were sitting outside with their kids in lawn chairs playing in the rain. That was charming to see family involvement that didn't mind boys being boys but I'm pretty sure they may have lived there. Then I saw the receptionist who had someone (a friend) on speaker phone using all sorts of foul language, her wig was half falling off and in all sorts of disrepair, she didn't even tell the person to hold on, she just kept on with her conversation with him as she attempted to check me in. Once I got to my room I was met with a man drinking beer outside his room with his door wide open who told me if he got too loud to just knock on his door and let him know, I walked in my room and was smacked in the face with weed. I immediately left to the the store to grab odor neutralizing spray and a candle. I then went to dinner, came back and my neighbor was now shirtless, still outside my door, but now drinking a liquor drink and even more adamant that I let him know if he's too loud. I assured him that I'd let him know but really I could care less. The bedding and pillows were awesome so I quickly fell asleep but I'll never make that mistake ever ever again.

The toilet was loses and ran continuously we were there for 5 nights and our room never got cleaned no fresh towels one of the beds was near a outlet and if the bed moved it would unplug the light

The rooms are outdated tv didn’t work they didn’t clean the room the whole time of our stay our stay was 5 days we had a pet but they were crated we never got clean towels the toilets water ran the whole time the pool had mold on the edges and there were no pool chairs the breakfast was ok it was only waffles yogurt or cereal and fruit coffee and juice

While the staff was friendly and helpful, the room itself was not as expected. I had booked a non smoking room which smelled musty and like someone had been smoking in it for years. The top lock on the door was broken, looked like someone had tried busting open the door. The floors, though newer in the bed area, were dirty and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The shower head/tub faucet were loose and very clearly not connected to the wall. The fridge was frozen on the inside causing it not to cool properly. I contacted front desk about the lock, requesting to possibly move to another room. The lady sounded surprised but told me she would send out someone from maintenance. Luckily the lock was able to be replaced and the maintenance man was very kind during the fix. I would probably give the hotel another chance with a different room but it was not the best experience as far as comfort.

Room smelled like smoke and moisture. Dirty shower head, clothes rack ripped from wall and woke up with everything in room wet from moisture…the floor, furniture ect. Probably reason for the metal lamps all rusted out. Dump of a room and with that kind of moisture no way there is not mold in there!

When we were trying to go to sleep, there was a ridiculously bright parking lot light right outside our room that we could not block out of the side of the curtain. We tried pulling the curtain tight but there is no way to make the room blacked out. The curtain sits too far set away from the window which leaves a large gap of space. ALL the light was shining in the room which made it very hard to sleep. The room was old, walls were filthy. Luckily the sheets seemed clean, but what good does that do when they SMELL like cigarettes?! We will NEVER stay here again or at any Quality Inn. Do yourself the favor and step it up another notch and stay at a Holiday Inn level hotel across the freeway from this hotel!

First off the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to request clean sheets and change them ourselves. We were traveling with 2 dogs so I’m sure we were assigned the worst room. The breakfast was good. The evening check in was a bit odd. I believe someone was being trained but was not greeted or addressed upon arrival and they didn’t check my ID which I thought was odd. Staff were pleasant but not engaging. Hotel is older and needs upgrades. Good for a quick stay.

The general condition was not good we will not return to this hotel. The floor was dirty and sticky. The staff at check in was nice. Later in the week the woman at the desk lectured me on keeping the room key away from my phone. I needed a key that worked.

It served its purpose, which was to spend the night and continue the journey, but the front desk person smoked so much that everything around him smelled like cigarettes.

Attempted to check in; I was given a room that was not the same as booked; looked at the room and it was horrible. This motel/inn has room doors to the street not very secure, The room also had a small chair that looked like it was clawed to death by a cat. I ended up canceling my reservation amd finding a hotel more suitable.

Too much noise at evening and night hours. Working ppl hanging outside laughing loud in parking lot. The beds were very uncomfortable.

Only good thing with this property was the location! The property was completely outdated, previous mold in the bathroom, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, they painted over the mold instead of killing/cleaning it with bleach but you could still see it through the paint, the secure latch for the exit door was loose, the bed was so uncomfortable I felt springs through the mattress, it smelled stagnant in the room, I felt grungy even being in the room, there were holes in both comforters. We only stayed because we checked in super late after 11:00 PM and left super early. The location was on but even the outside was old and I didn’t feel safe! It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at but as mentioned, it was super late when we checked in and there were no other hotels available.

When I booked it through booking.com it advertised it as having an indoor pool. That was the only reason I booked it. Just in case the weather was bad, which it was, my kids could still swim, but it had an outdoor pool, not indoor as advertised.

Probably recently updated rooms (fresh paint, new carpet), that were very clean. Breakfast was apples, waffles, juice, toast with jam, cookies and coffee. All were fresh No eggs or bacon etc for breakfast, a bit older room design.

The bathroom need to have plastic shower curtain and mat on the floor.

We were on the 1st floor. but there were baby spiders in the coffee pot, so we couldn't have coffee.

The bed was not terribly comfortable, but ok for a short stay.

The hotel was is a good location and busy due to spring break. I was staying 4 nights. The breakfast was slim pickings, but good. The room on the other hand was a nightmare. Broken mattress and running toilet. The tub fittings falling off and curtains that didn't cover the window. They couldn't program the key to work all day so we have to keep going to the desk for help.

But the lady who worked at the counter was watching her program on TV and she could hardly look at us With a pleasant person at the counter of the hotel would increase it’s score

Extremely budget friendly option, close to Jekyll island, and st. Simons island! Stayed here so we could take the kids strait to the beach in the morning, wasn't the nicest but it absolutely worked and the room was fairly big, and we slept great, there were other kids, and most of the other guests were working linemen, and construction guys, so it wasn't at all unsafe feeling, and we were 15 min from the shores of Jekyll island the next morning! Old, and outdated, a bit dingy, the hairdryer immediately started smoking when I tried to use it but for the price, and the location it could not be beat!

Clean room, staff was so nice on night shift, parking was good, heater did not work in the room, so they moved us to a second room and that heater didn’t work either. Breakfast was more like a big continental, plus make it yourself w/waffles.

Staff were very kind. Check in and out were seamless. Did not see much of a breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat that are walkable.

This property was very poorly maintained. The rooms are visibly dirty with hardly anything stocked in them. We saw several bugs, including a roach(in the main lobby where the "dining area" is). The toilet in our room didnt flush because it was so clogged. so much so, we had to have someone come to fix it. The coffee makers in the room were also clogged and looked to have mold in them. We had to switch our room due to the noise level in the room next to us and in both of our rooms, the floors were literally peeling off and broken. The pool was suppose to be the saving grace but sadly, it was not. We were there for 2days and 1 night. During our entire stay the pool had someones clothing inside of it and all the trash recepticles outside and near the pool were over flowing with trash. When we checked out, they were still overflowing. Its unfortunate because, the staff were very kind. Its very clear that the priority isnt cleanliness, or comfort and that there is near zero effort put into the maintenance of this facility. Also, they dont seem to have a supply of anything. We had 1 towel in our room for 4 people. When we went to the front desk to ask for towels, their linen closet was empty. The front desk person had to go into a vacant room to get us a few more towels.

My room smelled weird and, while cool, it felt damp. The pool was out if service, but no one told me that until the day after I checked in. None of the ice machines worked. The juice dispenser was out of order. There was dog food on my room floor. I had to prop a trash can against the drapes to keep them closed.

The appliances (microwave and refrigerator) were dirty and had food or some other residue on them.The room had a strange smell similar to mildew which would explain the rusty light fixtures etc. The toilet had feces in it and was not clean. The furniture was dirty with food underneath the cushions. The beds looked as if the were found in the dumpster. The electrical sockets were missing covers and had exposed wires. The front door would not close fully and had some type of makeshift repair using a peice of cardboard on the back. The pool had a green tint to it and had algae actively growing in it. Even with these poor conditions me and my family of four remained positive. However the deal breaker was when my son noticed a roach crawling near him. I looked behind the nightstand only to find more alive and dead roaches. We quickly packed our belongings. I went directly to the manager on duty MP who refused to veiw the footage on my phone of our concerns. He indicated that he would refund our stay but was not capable due to only being an employee.

The reservation was for 2-queen beds but we did not get the queen beds. Floor was dirty, walls in the bathroom had holes in them and the whole room was dusty and not clean!

We stayed for a night on our way northward. The hostess was courteous and professional. She quickly confirmed our reservations and assigned us a room on the first floor. Upon entering the room, it was obvious to me that it was not ready for occupancy. Where there should be two double beds, there was one double bed and the framework for the second bed. I returned to the front desk to inform the hostess. She was disturbed that room was listed as ready to use, but she quickly assigned us another room on the first floor on the other side of the hotel. The second room was complete and operational, however, it was not handicap accessible. My mom is in a wheelchair, so it was one of the reasons I booked this location. The bathroom was small, but we were able to navigate it. The air conditioner in this room was quite noisy, but we were too tired to stop us from resting. The room was in need of a handyman's touch. The shower curtain rail was pulling away from the wall and the paper roll holder appeared to be recently reattached, but not finished.

We stayed for a night on our way northward. The hostess was courteous and professional. She quickly confirmed our reservations and assigned us a room on the first floor. Upon entering the room, it was obvious to me that it was not ready for occupancy. Where there should be two double beds, there was one double bed and the framework for the second bed. I returned to the front desk to inform the hostess. She was disturbed that room was listed as ready to use, but she quickly assigned us another room on the first floor on the other side of the hotel. The second room was complete and operational, however, it was not handicap accessible. My mom is in a wheelchair, so it was one of the reasons I booked this location. Had 2 rooms. One was missing a chair and had rather severe scuff marks on the wall where the chair should have been. The other room did not have a safe yet room 1 did.

The harsh chemicals used to clean the room were hard because Im allergic to a lot of them. The smell is not pleasant either.

It was just ok. For the price you get what you paid for. Can be a noisy property. Card keys stopped working so we had to get those fixed. Got woken up by their cleaner at 8am… found the do not disturb thing hiding on the window seal covered by drapes. Breakfast is eh. Place needs an to be sprayed and we found not our hair in the bathroom.

The hotel is in the middle of renovation. The property should look better after they finished, right now just a little run down in the front of the hotel. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok.

Didn't like that elevator was broken. Had to use stairs to get to room on second floor. Walking up the stairs the carpet had big soiled dirt spots on carpet stairs.

Our door looked like it was kicked in one to many times. There was dirt or sand all over the floor and in the beds. The fridge didnt work. Outlets need to be replaced. The sink overflows. My husband found and killed a cockroach. The list goes on! Thank God we only had to stay one night. Never again!

Very clean room and property grounds. The nearby bar had music that was loud but the noise was quieted just as we went to bed. We got a pretty good sleep and the Continental breakfast was neat and orderly.

This hotel was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had staying at a hotel. The exterior is beyond horrendous. The windows were boarded up with plywood and the overhang was ripped and tattered. The carpet was stained all throughout, the shower had a pink ring around the drain and the sheets were filthy. This place needs to be shut down.

Quality Inn needs a facelift and freshen rooms with new clean bedside lamps and fresh paint. Walls were "dinged" A little uncomfortable and sketchy with the outside entries to the rooms.

Overall: the service was great. Staff are very nice and helpful. Room was very clean. I put 4 stars because the carpet needs to be deep claned and AC filter has to be changed ( one put on heat, the AC started to smell disgusting, so we kept it on Cool).

Found a flee in one of the beds, sofa was stained, room had a urine odor. To top it off we lost power all night.

Front desk was very nice but unfortunately the place needs a facelift if not a makeover. Plywood on a broken window, the awning ripped away, carpeting stained, tiles broken. With that said, the rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was Ok.

Stay was great. Had a good nights sleep and good breakfast before continuing our travels to Florida. I like this hotel because of the Large parking space for my Truck and 5th wheel trailer

Woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely outdated and dirty. The floors were nasty and the bathroom tub/shower did not operate very well. The floors needed redone and cleaned. Cracks in the tile and the caulk/grout in front of the bathtub were in pieces.

1st assigned room noisy from vending machines, also had plastic bag covering smoke detector, safety hazard. Staff was courteous and assigned a 2nd room. Door lock, doir jamb damaged making it difficult to lock, otherwise OK.

Not much of a choice for breakfast. Heater in room was turn to high all night and we still slept with are clothes on. We feel that they are letting it get run down with no improvements on going. It's a cheap stay for a night on the road if you have no wants or needs.

Shower nor coffee maker in room worked. When reported at front desk was told manager wasn’t in she would tell her. Was not pleased.

The Quality Inn was nice and reasonably priced but no wifi and no phone . This is unacceptible in an emergency.

Property was dirty and smelled quite bad, AC unit was so noisy it kept us awake but was too hot to turn it off. Beds were comfortable enough. Staff were obliging but not very friendly. Breakfast was ok but the female cook was quite grumpy.

I’m 84 years old with 2 knee replacements and if I had known that I was going to be on the 2nd floor I would not have made the reservation

Was not too happy about the beds. They had 2 full mattresses on queen frames. Bathroom needs some type of handicap features to prevent falling in the shower. Staff was good and let us change rooms to one with actual queen beds.

I found roaches in our room, we woke up to our belonging all wet due to moistures on all the surfaces, even the walls. The shower curtain rod was broken and the shower leaked all over the floor. Attempted to talk to management 3 times and was unsuccessful.

The room was totally wet. Floor had standing water. Table tops had moisture you could see and feel. Towels were damp and our clothing felt damp from being in the room. The air musty and damp.

The A/C for the room was not acceptable. There was so much humidity in the room that the floor, counter surfaces were actually not just damp but wet. Floor was so slippery that it was a fall hazard. Would have loved to give the highest rating as the staff were truly some of the nicest and helpful ever. The room was spotless. But…..the humidity is a game changer. They obviously are aware of the problem but don’t seem to have a solution.

This is our 3rd stay at this hotel in as many years. We vacation on Jekyll Island and it is MUCH less expensive to stay in nearby Brunswick. I had made a reservation for a room with 2 queen beds with a pullout sofa. The first room I was given was 2 queen beds with no pullout sofa. I have 2 young daughters and they will take turns sleeping on the sofa, so I had to switch rooms. The clerk behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, and stated he was a somewhat new hire, with only a few weeks at the location. He informed me that the rooms with a pullout sofa are double beds only, which I suspected last year, so you may want to update your website because it's listed as 2 queens with a pullout. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and a great vacation, so thank you all for providing my family and I a safe quiet place to eat after our days of sun and adventure.

Judy was the most rude desk person I have met in 50 years of traveling. The shower was brokern. The safe did not work. Forturnately we were only staying a few hours.

The room was in major need of a renovation . Linen was stained and we woke up major condensation in the room and found floor and walls wet .

Check in could have been better if the clerk spoke English. Our room was so cold and wouldn't warm up. Water pressure was nonexistent, etc. Etc

I loved staying at Quality Inn and really had a good time. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet and nice. Staff was very polite and helpful. I didn't even have to ask! However, the fuse blew when I tried to use the hair dryer.
