Reviews
Guests generally have a positive experience at this hotel, appreciating the cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The location is also frequently praised for its proximity to SUNY Brockport and local amenities. However, there are some recurring issues with maintenance, such as problems with air conditioning, shower drains, and housekeeping services.
- Cleanliness
- Comfortable rooms and beds
- Inconsistent maintenance and housekeeping
- Noise issues with thin walls and loud air conditioning

We weren't happy that we had to wait two hours to check-in. Also, last year, we stayed here often and enjoyed it because of the hot breakfast but they no longer serve eggs and other protein. The only hot food is waffles which is disappointing. Best Western should update its photos and descriptions since this hotel is now charging more for less.

Our family recently visited Brockport for a high school lacrosse tournament. We found the hotel very clean and well maintained and the staff was fantastic. The only disappointment was the business center. I can't recall if they didn't have one to begin with or if it was under renovation, I wasn't able to access a public computer to keep tabs on e-mail. That's as much on me for not bringing my personal computer but when I saw business center listed as a feature, I took for granted that I would be able to do what I needed to do there. (It is unrelated to this specific hotel but it should be noted that I had a similar experience at the second hotel on the next leg of our NY trip. So maybe business centers as a a whole are kind of a dying breed.) Irregardless of the business center, we had a great stay. The staff, especially, were very friendly, kind and helpful. Would certainly stay here again. It shoud be noted that the price we paid made it a great value.

Pathetic. Un appetizing fruit, dry cereal and make your own waffles. My last morning there they had no coffee. She said she had to go out and get some and it would be 30min. On my second night there the fire alarm went off at 3:00 am. The bed was not the best. For what they charge for rates, you would expect better. I won’t be returning.

Breakfast was very good and had enough choices for everyone. The room was clean and quiet. Parking was convenient and very well lit, close to town and food.

We traveled back to the area where we used to live for a family visit. The room was a good size, clean, the beds were comfortable, and we were able to sleep reasonably well as it was fairly quiet. I'd say one of the best hotels as far as noise is concerned. It's free parking, situated in close proximity to the hotel and is adequate for the size of the hotel. The only complaint we had was the breakfast. It's supposed to be a hot breakfast but, the only item that's hot is if you make it yourself like waffles in the provided waffle iron, and oatmeal in the microwave. The omelettes (cheese and not sure what the second was)and breakfast sandwich (1 variety) was wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator that you had to heat in the microwave. In addition, the refrigerator was a small dorm room type and didn't hold much so, food ran out several times as people were coming down to breakfast. There were no utensils that I was able to find. The breakfast room itself was clean and a decent size, again for the size of the hotel. Overall, I gave our stay a good rating, but would have rated it higher if not for the breakfast. The manager needs to go continental or actually commit and do a proper hot breakfast in appropriate warming steam trays, etc.

Room very clean and comfortable. Nice staff and good breakfast.

Clean room, great staff, breakfast was good too

The room was very clean, and the staff was pleasant. I would have preferred fresh eggs instead of microwaved ones, and there could have been more food options.

Breakfast had issues. Machinery malfunctioning with juice, yogurt, no hot breakfast options, and water in lobby never changed .
- 4/5
My only complaint would be the grounds around the hotel is very dirty with trash everywhere. We had two dogs with us, and to walk them was challenging due to litter everywhere. Everything else was perfect.
- 3.5/5
I liked the staff they seemed friendly. I believe it was the housekeeper that let us in our room when the cards wouldn't work. Upon entering the first day the shower didnt look clean. Which made me a little suspicious about the cleanliness. The breakfast was very underwhelming. Our cards would not register to our room on the second day there.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. It was very clean, and 5 minutes from SUNY Brockport. The hot breakfast food was microwave only, but we didn’t mind that. There were good options. The front desk staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. For the price you can’t beat it.

I liked how spacious the rooms are . Breakfast had many nice options I have been trying to get ahold of the manager, I stayed the previous weekend,I had an emergency back at home, so I had to cut my stay,I did not stay two nights, only one night, waiting on refund for that stay, I then spoke to staff following weekend and still no luck, phones are messed up there I'm told, I hurt my back and was not able to stay the second night, I went to urgent care and was directed to go to hospital for further care, I have not gotten reimbursed for the one night last weekend and this one night this past weekend stay. Also my stay last weekend there was dog urine in the bathroom not cleaned up and bathroom was not cleaned, dusty, hair and chunk of hair in tub.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable, but our door pass kept deactivating THREE times. Three separate times, I had to go get new cards! Once is a mistake, but three times? They said they were having trouble with the cards deactivating and they were getting a new machine, but no offer of any kind for the inconvenience. We have stayed at this hotel MANY times as our daughter and family live locally and it’s close to their place, but I will think twice the next time I book. The advertisement lists (and we have seen) a buffet breakfast. There was nothing buffet about it and the fridge was locked when we went to get a yogurt and milk. We gave up and went to The Golden Eagle. (delicious btw) Fix the advertisement to read “Continental Breakfast” so people are not mislead. Worst stay in a long time.
- 2/5
The only saving grace is the staff who were great. They tried their best to help and they were very nice.
- 2/5
In response to the snowfall the hotel had someone come and clean the parking lot; in doing so the snowplow guy pushed a pile of snow under and behind my car so that I had to dig the car out myself. I'm guessing that the guy thought it was quite funny what he did to my car and the other three cars parked there.

Friendly staff, clean simple hotel. Nice soft beds. Breakfast was cold grab and go. And no pool which would have been nice for the price.

Great Around the clock breakfast and snack room. Large rooms, comfortable beds, thick wall, soundproof type rooms. A small but good quick workout room, free weights and cardio workout machine machines.

- 3/5
Ok - rooms could be cleaner . Alot of hair on the bathroom floor
- 5/5
Would recommend the king suite. Breakfast is a plus. Many options. Very close to downtown brockport.
- 3/5
Room was satisfactory and the staff is outstanding. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.
- 3/5
I would give this Best Western in Brockport, NY a 3-star rating. The staff were wonderful—friendly, helpful, and truly the highlight of my stay. However, the breakfast was very disappointing. Some of the bagels appeared spoiled, the French toast was soggy, and the eggs were runny. Even the juices didn’t taste fresh. Overall, the breakfast quality really brought down the experience.
- 4/5
The room was good except a couple of moisture flies in the bathroom and not enough shower soap in the shower
- 5/5
Helpful staff, clean and quiet. Breakfast area was kept tidy and restocked promptly.
- 5/5
The best hotel to stay in Brockport!
- 4/5
We’ve stayed here for a few years and have never been disappointed. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet is the standard fare. Good restaurants close by.
- 5/5
Breakfast was fresh, parking was safe
- 5/5
Comfortable clean and staff was extremely helpful. Found the go to if this is the college for my senior.
- 4/5
Everything is always fine here. Except coffee is bad and running out of orange juice at 8:20.
- 5/5
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean comfortable, nice appearance. Quiet location, close to shopping and dining.
- 5/5
Just what we needed for the weekend. Property clean and staff were friendly. Only little minor thing is room walls are thin. Heard our neighbors convo the first night.
- 5/5
This property is convenient to all things SUNY Brockport, Brockport, and surrounding areas. The hotel was very clean, safe, quiet, with great amenities (including breakfast), ample parking, and a professional staff.
- 1/5
The cleaning service was terrible—my room was barely touched during the three days I stayed. They simply tidied up a bit, but left the bathroom dirty and didn’t replace the towels. The breakfast was just as disappointing, with undercooked bacon, poorly prepared eggs, and soggy French toast. To make matters worse, the bagels were moldy.

It's a great place to stay, the breakfast is real good.
- 4/5
This was a pretty nice hotel for a best western. The staff was wonderful and the room was clean, but had an odor, which was a big negative for this hotel. The room had a musty smell so we bought an air freshener. The hall smellled of cigarette smoke and wet dog despite being a non smoking hotel. The dogs in one of the rooms barked through the night, and howled intermittently all day long, nothing was ever done. It didn’t stop until the guest left. The male dogs all pissed on the post just outside the door, so the stench of rotting dog urine was strong by the entrances. Very very large dogs were here (Irish wolfhounds mostly) so the weight limit for dogs of 80 lbs isn’t unforced. I think this hotel is frequented by dog show folks with larger dogs because of this, the place smells like a kennel. The staff was great, and I know the cleaning crew did their best as, despite the smells, everything appeared clean.
- 5/5
Has a nice laundry area and workout area. Very safe too.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice.
- 4/5
The hotel room was large and clean. The water in the sink backed up, the shampoo holder was broken, and the toilet paper holder was broken. Breakfast was good, although the coffee was so-so. Our room was on the second floor but the elevator was out of service.
- 2/5
Did not have a good experience. Room was not cleaned properly. Hair all over the bathroom, fridge not cleaned from previous guests and bedding was stained.
- 1/5
Our room was infested with ants! We told housekeeping and they seemed to know this was an issue and asked if they were big ants or little ones. This is completely unacceptable and was not a good experience.
- 3/5
I've stayed here a couple of times and its usually safe, clean and nice. Breakfast is ok. I was a little upset about my 2 night stay this week. It's a no smoking hotel yet the hall constantly reeked of weed and cigarettes that was permeating from rooms. At some points we could smell it in our room. There were some men staying from a construction company that constantly hung out in the parking lot drinking beer. The elevator was broken and it was inconvenient to carry our luggage up and down stairs for check-in and out. We were there mid-week for 3 days and 2 nights and didn't see any attempt to fix it. I will give this hotel another try next time I'm in town but if I have the same experience I will seek other accommodations.
- 4/5
The only issue was the elevator was broken and it was hard for my partner who is diabetic to walk the stairs

Always stay here when I’m out this way for tournaments or camp. Great place!!!
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful! Only complaint was the breakfast was ok at best. No OJ, hot food was empty an hour after breakfast opened.
- 5/5
Beautiful and well-maintained! Staff is amazing 😊
- 4/5
I’ve stayed at this exact hotel 5 times in the last 6 weeks. Every time has been overly exceptional. The staff very friendly and helpful, for a small extra fee early check and late check out are available. Continental breakfast available every morning and edible. This last time shortly before turning lights off for bed I noticed several black insects crawling around on the floor, seemed harmless but yet still visible. Also when arriving I opened the pull out couch bed and once removing cushions the entire bed frame was covered in what seemed to be white dog hair, I had also booked the room for 2 guests and the pull out bed did not have sheets or blankets attached while nothing to make the bed was in any of the cabinets either.
- 5/5
Everything you is here
- 5/5
Rom and bed where great would stay again when in town again.
- 4/5
Quiet location, comfortable beds, room smelled and felt damp. Unfortunately, our room was right across from the ice machine and someone needed ice at 6 am each day...I presume it was the staff getting the continental breakfast ready. Continental breakfast was basic but fine.
- 3/5
Place was clean and situated in a quiet location. Breakfast choices were decent. Had a problem with the toilet and plunged it ourselves. Beds were ok, but not nearly as comfortable as another popular hotel chain I use. Beds “squeaked” when you moved like there were crushed plastic water bottles underneath you. Overall good but way too expensive for what you get. Disappointed there was no pool.
- 3/5
We arrived to an empty front desk. It really bothered me that anyone could just walk in off the street and have access to the food and hallways. It was the same at the side door, where we simply walked in as did a man who had seemed to sleep in a budget rental van outside the door. A little creepy for sure. There was a sign at the front desk indicating that we should call the phone number and someone would come help us, which we did but still no one came. After 10 minutes or so someone did appear, but the front desk worker said, after I texted her, that 'her ringer was off' and she didn't get the call. The room had a strange smell to it, and the carpet was damp. The room was clean, very basic but clean. The beds were comfortable and lots of pillows. We were too tired to report the damp rug, we probably should have. We did report it when we left but the desk person shrugged. We usually stay at the Hampton in this town and will go back there next time.
- 4/5
This was our third stay and, unfortunately, the bathrooms are worse each time. The towels are too thread bare which means they don't absorb moisture or dry well. Also, the shower curtain and carpet smelled very bad this time. We enjoy the size of the rooms, the comfort of the beds/pillows and the variety of breakfast foods. I used to rave about Best Western but I'm torn between the good and bad now.
- 5/5
The staff at Best Western Brockport are amazing. Their friendliness and hospitality have made our stay incredible.
- 5/5
Thanks for making our stay great guys!

Newer building with great breakfast!
- 5/5
We always enjoy our stay at the Best Western Brockport. They have the best bedding and pillows! However, this time our towels were too thin and the hairdryer didn't have much power. We also had a fire alarm at 4am which was jolting and not at all pleasant.
- 5/5
I would absolutely stay there again. Staff was nice, room was excellent, clean, bathroom very clean

- 5/5
Clean and comfortable stay.
- 5/5
It's been at least a couple of decades since I last stayed at a Best Western and this was a wonderful experience! They had the best pillows of any hotel we've stayed at. It was also very quiet which was much appreciated. The breakfast had a great variety of hot and cold foods. However, they were constantly running out of coffee cups and the yogurt machine wasn't working.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice my room was nice and clean.
- 5/5
All was very good with our stay - Will stay again if needing a place to stay while in Brockport to visit our grandson who is a student at SUNY Brockport
- 4/5
Clean and convenient
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and check in/out were quick and easy. Decent breakfast that they rotate the hot option each day. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when in the area. I will say that if you are sensitive to external sounds, this might not be the best option for you. At least in our room, you could very clearly hear people walking around in the room above as well as whenever their sink or shower was running. It did not bother us, but I could see how this might be an issue for some.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and great daily breakfast
- 5/5
Very clean and very friendly

It’s always clean and friendly service. Have stayed multiple times in the past 4 years and always recommend to people staying I. Brockport

Clean and quiet
- 5/5
I was traveling for business. Room was very clean and except for the mattress being soft, was very comfortable. Not the most luxurious place, but I didn't need luxury. Just clean and comfortable
- 3/5
Our room was on the first floor we could hear foot traffic from the upstairs room, could hear the room beside us every time someone flushed the toilet or showered. Walls super thin. Undid the blankets off the bed and found a mouse turd in between the sheets, bed was super creaky and not at all comfortable. Window was hard to lock, felt unsafe.
- 5/5
Bed and pillows were comfortable. Gerring room temperature to be comfortable for sleeping requured 3 adjustmens during the night all of which involved a knob difficult to adjust and too much fan noise. "Off" was not a good choice. I'd still stay there again.
- 5/5
Room was spotless!
- 3/5
However the noise was not great. Guests were very loud above us until at least midnight. And in the hall. We could hear the surrounding towels flush and showers were very loud.
- 4/5
Property was in a great location.
- 5/5
We checked in late after a long drive and the young lady at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful.
- 3/5
The room was small but that was okay. The thermostat increased overnight. Room was hot and dry. We decided to get up and leave by 6:00 because the room atmosphere was just uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Stay was good. Receptionists was polite and respectful. Room was clean and quiet. Will return!
- 2/5
Sink and tub did not drain, Asked to get room cleaned numerous times after we left. It was not cleaned
- 5/5
This motel was immaculately clean. I had been there before when it was owned by another company and I was saddened to see how empty it is, but the room was wonderfully clean and comfortable, and I am rather a stickler for that so I couldn’t recommend it anymore than I am right now.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
Walls are thin... bring earplugs. Otherwise, a comfortable night's sleep and nice breakfast in the morning.
- 5/5
A great hotel that's a diamond in the rough! Clean, quiet, safe and very friendly staff. The only thing was some loud kids on the floor above that was stomping on the thin floors but that is no fault of the hotel. A great stay and you've definitely earned a repeat customer!
- 5/5
The only drawback was the fact it would have been nice to have an area outside to sit at and relax. Convenient to Brockpost college which is why we were here.
- 5/5

Second time this hotel has canceled my stay with no explanation!!! Writing to Best Western corporate for answers. We were forced to drive 3 hours home because hotels in area were full. They bump online reservations to fill at a higher rate. Never got to spend Sunday with family because we had no where to stay.

I stayed here many times in the past but this time The beds were awful. All we felt was the springs. Nobody had a good sleep the whole time. I asked about it they said nothing we can do about it right now.
- 4/5
It was a very well-kept property. The room was great and the breakfast was very nice...compared to others we have had lately. The air conditioner/heating unit was somewhat noisy but considering everything else about the property...we would definitely stay again!!
- 5/5
The Hotel was great and clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was excellent and so friendly, especially Bill. First time in a long time that I’ve actually gotten some great sleep. The beds were super comfy and there was no noise from guests, the A/C was so quiet, it was so nice to wake up to the sounds of birds in the morning. No outside noises to contend with. Just a great time had by all.
