Reviews
Guests generally enjoy the beautiful property, friendly staff, and great food and wine options at this hotel. However, there are frequent complaints about cleanliness, maintenance issues, and high prices.

Very nice. Live music on the weekends.
- 4/5
The place is clean the staff is great. The problem is the fees! They hold $200 a day for incidentals and they charge $28 a day for self parking so if you’re not expecting it or on a strict budget this hotel is not a good stay. I recommend the wine tasting and the spa if you can swing it
- 4/5
I had a billing issue which was efficiently addressed and staff were attentive to my needs. Their care for their guests is exemplary
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 4/5
Overall good but missing the items that make it great. My room was not ready until well past 5pm, over an hour after check-in time. Didn’t even offer me a credit for a coffee or glass of wine. Shower was not clean enough. The coffee shop on my second morning was closed as the barista had not shown up. No one thought to put self-serve coffee in the lobby so I had to drive off property to Starbucks. Rooms was a great size and parts of the property are very pretty. Honestly, the resort fee given it does not give you access to the spa is a little ridiculous.
- 5/5
Very thin walls in rooms at The Inn. I felt like I hear everything in the hallways and people coughing in neighboring rooms. So many things to rave about. Would recommend if you’re looking for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle.

Very nice and relaxing hotel

This was a 10/10 experience. I booked for my girlfriend’s birthday and we both had an amazing time. Definitely would recommend to anyone that needs a break and a hard reset.

Great hotel, always a pleasure to stay at Chateau Elan.

A cacophony of disturbances! There was a wedding that disturbed my peace. The Inn should have been exclusively resereved for the rude wedding guests. I was awaken from my sleep at 9am by drums and obnoxious chanting and cheering. There was zero regard for other paying guests. The toilet inside my suite, by the way I paid over $500 a night for, was rushing on and off. I called maintenance and he came juggled the handle and left. Of course I had to deal with the issue again. The furniture and carpet had stains. The room was halfway cleaned. They had the audacity to try and charge me for mini bar items I never touched. I even brought my own water. The room itself had a musty old odor and is in dier need of updating. Everything about this place was overpriced and underwhelming. My experience was comped slightly but I've had better stays for far less.

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at Chateau Elan, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property is absolutely beautiful, with a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a girls' trip, or simply a weekend to recharge, Chateau Elan is definitely worth the visit.

Great experience ever spent 1 yr anniversary and it was amazing

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at Chateau Elan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was courteous and helpful. We dined a Fleur De Lis because they had vegan options, it was lovely. Our room was excellent. This was our first stay but certainly not our last.

Me and my husband were highly dissapointed by our 3 night stay at the Chateau Elan. There were so many dissapointments I dont know where to start. First of all I will say that the staff was very nice and did everything they could to make our stay better. The room and the property was very clean. Yet, we were celebrating our 1st year wedding anniversary and the main dissapointment was the hard bed we slept on. It felt like we were sleeping on a concrete slab. We told the front desk girl but the only thing she could do was give us a matress pad to put on top of the bed because she couldn't guarantee that a bed in a different room would be more comfortable. That was no help because we didnt get 1 good night of rest. The 2nd dissapointment was the restaurant food. No good flavor, tasteless and overpriced. We had to go to the restaurants off the resort where the food was delicious and only 1/2 the price of theirs. The 3rd dissapointment were the high charges I was left with after checking out. We were not told upfront that the bar inside the room was not included in the hotel charges when I booked the room. That was very unprofessional considering that we celebrating our anniversary. To sum it all up, this resort is highly overpriced and not the 5 star resort that we thought it would be. It is not worth all the money that they charge. We could have had more fun and much better food staying at a fancy hotel in downtown Atlanta.
- 5/5
Very relaxing. Will definitely return.
- 3/5
The property was very clean and well kept. Property fees was a little excessive and property restaurants was expensive but other than that we had a great time.
- 5/5
Stay was amazing ! We upgraded our room & stayed in the Spa. 10000/10 experience.
- 5/5
Amazing property! So very beautiful. Different restaurants and the winery top notch!
- 5/5
Property was clean presentable and well kept. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly this trip is highly recommended.

Everything was great, except the restaurant in the main building. We waited forever for our food, and it was terrible. Service was also terrible.

Wow! What a find… we were just driving through and found this hidden gem. Beautiful grounds and hotel. It was in great shape and super clean. The room was wonderful; we especially liked the large TV and nice bedding. We used the gym too which was also very nice for a hotel gym. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here. (The only negative issue was the not so good Eggs Benedict which we ordered from room service.)
- 5/5

The restaurant service was also disappointing, as there were repeated issues with our orders and it often felt like our concerns were overlooked rather than addressed. The spa service was average at best. While the property itself has a beautiful view, the overall level of service did not match the standard I expected for the price paid.

But everything was convenient and close I felt secure.

The place seemed to be understaffed - service was slow and quality was nothing special. We stayed for 2 nights and our room wasn’t refreshed by housekeeping so we were waiting on clean towels and toilet paper. Reservations were required at both of the upscale restaurants on property which was a bummer.

excellent customer service, robes were brought to the room, waitress in Pattys was working so hard to help everyone. Ariel in the bar was super helpful with the wines. no spa attendants. Messy locker room w used towels on floor
- 4/5
Beautiful resort, we enjoyed our stay. It is clean, elegant, and safe. Definitely worth a visit. The only complaint was no complimentary coffee station like we find at Marriott and Hilton hotels. Coffee maker in the room, but that doesn't do it for me.
- 5/5
Awesome. Beautiful resort. Wonderful staff. We will absolutely returning.
- 5/5
Nice and very clean , went around Christmas do everything was decorated as such .
- 3/5
Also, I had called numerous times to inquire about early check-in and was given vague answers of availability. I was never told that, even if your room is available, there is a $75 fee imposed for any check-in prior to 4pm (even just an hour or so early). I feel like this hotel has an additional add on fee for every interaction.

Staff was great. Room was nice and clean. Above average for the room size and amenities.

Loved the weekend at this hotel. The food was excellent. The room was perfect. I loved my walk around the property before breakfast.
- 5/5
The grounds are absolutely stunning, the atmosphere is both relaxing and luxurious, and the wine selections were simply exceptional. Every interaction with the staff was warm, attentive, and professional they made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our entire stay. From start to finish, everything was seamless and memorable. If you’re looking for a refined getaway with beautiful surroundings, incredible wine, and top-tier service, Château Élan is truly unmatched. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. 🍷✨

Perfect get away to enjoy the snow. The only thing that bothered me was some of the amenities were not accessible due to snow, and so of the restaurant at the resort that we wanted to go to were closed due to the snow. I do feel like we should have be compensated for that so kind of way, but we weren’t.
- 5/5
Spotless room, great staff, great amenities and excellent wine. I will definitely recommend this resort to friends and family.

I would give the place 5 stars but the foood is so..... only place that had decent food was the golf course. Everywhere else was terrble. The staff is AMAZING!! They are so accomodating, kind and helpful. The place is very clean, great amenities. You HAVE to do the sound bath at the spa

The accommodations and the grounds were absolutely fine… The egregious extra charges for using a credit card we’re a bit much. I can’t understand the logic and piling on extra 3% charges because one uses a credit card. This was not clear when I booked the original reservation.

I was all hyped up with this hotel and when I got there, I was disappointed. Virginia at the front desk was wonderful and went above / beyond to be welcoming. The room was very average, no have robes were provided. You could not utilize the spa unless you did a service. We had dinner at the Marc restaurant, where our waiter was rude. Food was overpriced and very average! I would not go back there and I wouldn’t recommend.
- 5/5
Great staff, amenities and wine!

Safe didn’t work at times. Back and forth to front desk to get help to open. Had to go through manager. Very frustrating.
- 3/5
Dogs are all over the hotel. This is not acceptable for so-called high-priced resort. These were big dogs. So many fees (resort fee, city hotel fee, parking fee) that was not mentioned. Restaurant at resort was way overpriced and high quality.
- 4/5
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, great spa. Could use some updates but the only one that really bothered us was the old school entertainment system. Really surprising at that price point.

Chateau Elon is spectacular! I read mixed reviews so I was nervous about our stay but from the moment we drove onto the property and checked in (Assisted by the absolute BEST Front Desk Associate) I knew it was going to be a wonderful stay! It is a resort with beautiful areas to walk in nature ( we even saw 6 deer on our walk) or walk through the grape orchard, relax by a fountain or the pool, go to the spa, dine at one of the 3 restaurants or sit and relax in the large lobby by one of the three fireplaces. The rooms are very nice and if you need anything, the front desk is exceptionally friendly and will assist you with professionalism and friendliness! There were several events that were going on but we were not affected at all by them. There is also shopping within a couple miles from the resort.

My wife and I arrived around 1am and left around 8:30am. It charged us for minibar. We did not eat or touch any of them!!!
- 4/5
The customer service was lacking and it also felt like you were being nickle & dimed. Just charge more for the stay instead of pricing on everything including parking & the air you breathe.
- 3/5
It was nice but not my personal style of vacationing.

This was my 40th wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. The staff, the food and the room were all great.

- 4/5
Chateau Elan was bar none.
- 5/5
The room was gorgeous!
- 5/5
Best part of our trip to Georgia! Elegant facilities and the staff was so professional. Sipping delicious wines on the winery grounds was so surreal and tranquil. The pool/hot tub grotto was perfect. Definitely coming back!
- 5/5
For years we have rotated our charity through here. Always our attendees have said it is our favoriate spot.
- 3/5
For the price paid, one would have expected the staff to be overly accommodating. That was not the case.
- 4/5
Terrible Internet, all 3 days of my stay.
- 4/5
While it was clear that the hotel has undergone some major renovations with new furnishings, the bathroom was clean but underwhelming. Underneath the sink a hole had been inadequately covered, leaving a huge gap that could allow anything to crawl through. Also room service was non responsive. Chateau Elan is a beautiful resort area but there is always room for improvement.
- 5/5

We always enjoy our stay at Chateau Elan. Breathtaking grounds and a world class hotel experience.

We enjoyed celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary at Chateau Elan. We had one issue with a guest staying next to our room with an air mattress that was very loud with the air pump. Chateau Elan's guest services acted immediately and upgraded us to a corner suite for the rest of our stay. All restaurants were enjoyable with great food and nice environment. Will be back!

FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING
- 5/5
Always a great experience and wonderful staff!
- 3/5
Loved the food, disliked the insects flying around.
- 1/5
No water glasses in the room. Had to ask twice.Broken lamp.Had to contact the front desk twice. Black mold in the shower around sosp dish. No shsmpoo or conditioner on last day Had to use body wash. All this for $400 a night.
- 5/5
Stayed at Chateau Elan for a business conference, absolutely fantastic. The rooms were so nice, so spacious, great amenities. The conference area was also fantastic. But i have to say, the highlight was the food!! Bothvour evening dinner at the Cask Room and our buffet lunch were delicious, extensive options all delicious! Sadly it was a short stay so i didnt visit the spa, but it also looked so nice!! Cant waitcto visit again!!!
- 5/5
Amazing winery, spa and resort - perfect weekend getaway for our anniversary!!
- 3/5
Upon check in , didn’t receive complimentary champagne or get any info about property like WiFi code, amenities the hours etc. When I inquired they told me to check website..We were suppose to get escorted to our room nobody came to assist. Room had no robes, I had to call and ask. There no microwave in rooms, so you have to inconveniently go to lobby’s cafe & warm it up & they close at 6.. Housekeeping came late during the evening finally & barely cleaned. I had to verbally ask to fix the bed if I didn’t she wouldn’t have. I also found hair on “clean” towels. I don’t typically write reviews but I hope this review helps someone else. I don’t think I’d pay to stay here again
- 5/5
This is one of the most beautiful places I have been. The property is gorgeous and the service is top tier. Can't wait to go back.
- 5/5
We had a beautiful stay, enjoy the wine . The staff was very friendly. We will be back again !
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful! Staff is very attentive. Our room was very clean and spacious however it would have been nice to have glassware in the room and better toilet paper for the price we paid
- 5/5
Staff very helpful at the Versailles restaurant; make our birthday celebration a success!

The spa at Chateau Elan was outstanding. The services provided were top tier.

Relaxing
- 5/5
The food was great. We did 2 tastings. One was the Sommelier Tastings. Matise was wonderful. His wine knowledge and paring with cheese really taught us about the wines. If you do nothing else you must do that tasting. We also did a self guided tasting and fortunately we had the wisdom from our tasting with Matise to help guide us . We order charcuterie and set off on our own …. it was fun. We ate in Marc’s and it was great…. the fried green tomatoes were perfect. We ate twice in the beautiful atrium restaurant and both times delicious. We did a quick mixology class at the bourbon bar and ordered flat bread….. it was ok…. it didn’t call me back. Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was super comfortable. Front desk staff always helpful and shuttle service was excellent. Now I will say , this was a mini vacation as we usually go to europe but weren’t able to so we figured we try some wine tasting in our country. I’m not a fan of domestic wines so I was thrilled and so wonderfully surprised at Chateau Elan. It was lovely!!!
- 5/5
Amazing property! Will stay again.
- 5/5
I dislike that I was unaware that there would be a $400 hold even though the rooms were paid for in full. I don't think this is a fault on chateau elan it is on Expedia for not making their customers aware of any potential holds there may be once you get to the property.
- 4/5
We didn’t end up staying because why they charging $200 a night hold fee that something they need to put on website. We did stay at the Hampton on the property which was very nice. Staff was so nice

- 5/5
So far the experience has been amazing. We are enjoying a lot!
- 4/5
We had a nice overnight stay at Chateau Elan. Our room was clean and we liked having a view of the pool, but one complaint was that the beds were too hard and the pillows were very lumpy. We did enjoy our time at the pool during the day, but the overall cost seemed very pricey for what we got for food/drinks. I was also surprised that we had to pay for self parking given the price of the room. However, it was a nice, short getaway for one night for a girls trip.
- 5/5
I like that everything I saw on the property it was magnificent
- 5/5
Excellent stay, attentive staff, beautiful grounds and great food.
- 5/5
Amazing!
- 4/5
Great staff. Clean, Spacious rooms. Restful environment.
- 4/5
The in room entertainment lacked casting. Additionally, In 2025 paying 20+ $ for a movie is unreasonable to expect at a venue of this caliber.
- 3/5
The best part of our stay was our visit to Sarazen’s restaurant. Our waitress, Victoria, was amazing! She went above and beyond to assist us in making our meal and wine selections and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. She and the manager were very helpful and friendly. The other good part was the shuttle driver—an African American man from NJ. He took us to Sarazens and back to the resort and waited at the winery so my daughter and I could see the fireworks without getting off the shuttle. We are grateful for the extra care and kindness these individuals showed to us. I am also an iprefer member. Receiving a room upgrade is based on availability, but we had a room w/no view and again, a rattling door. It’s just not what one would expect at a resort at this price point, and no real effort was made to resolve issues.

I just expected a better experience.

We loved the resort! It was our first time there. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. We played golf, enjoyed Sarazen's, and thorougly enjoyed our wine tour.

Amazing weekday gem. Not crowded and staff was amazing. Returning i. FALL for sure.

Will never go back. No restaurant onsite, even the steak house, could cook a medium-rare steak. Walls were thin enough i had to listen to my neighbor's blast music until midnight. Then to top it off the COUPLE message was booked for one. We booked one couple massage and were told when we arrive that it was only booked for one person. The guy says he's had this issue alot. Then change it! Had to pay a a cancelation charge. I will never go back and will warn everyone to spend their money somewhere else.

Great weekend getaway.

I loved everything about the property. The courteous staff, food wine. It was a great getaway.

Beautiful property, amazing views, and excellent service. Can not wait to go back!

The property was beautiful. It was our anniversary and the front desk ensured that we had the perfect room. However, the toilet was slow to flush and the refrigerator stopped working.
- 3/5
Meh. Room was hot. Wine isn't that great, and the restaurant was mediocre at best.

Tons of hidden fees. After spending over $1500 for 3 nights, I was hit with $400 in “fees” when I went to check out. I was charged $55 a night for “free” parking. We were stuck in the elevator, with ZERO APOLOGIES. We were charged $200/night for incidents that after 9 days AFTER CHECKOUT, has still not been released. We were offered $150 after airing our complaints. Literally that was it. The rooms are small and for the price, it’s INSANE. This was by FAR the worst hotel experience I have had. The staff is rude. The food is average at best. We will NEVER return.

Excellent but closet hanger needs to be dusted

Château Élan is a beautiful property—absolutely stunning grounds and scenery. The food was excellent, and overall, I really enjoyed my time there. The stay was very relaxing, except for the occasional noise from neighboring guests, which did take away from the tranquility at times. Still, it was a lovely experience.

Great time at a beautiful property!

We were treated badly we were supposed to be refunded but they say I have to contact Expedia I just want some one to give me money I will never go to this place again

Sadly, For us, it has gotten out of our price range. So disappointed that even though there is a resort fee, you have to pay for the yoga classes now that are offered.

I would expect more facilities, things to do from a resort. Also didn’t expect to get charged for 3 days resort fees for. 2 night stay!? And this place is in the middle of nowhere, not in a metropol.. why do they charge for parking??? I relocated here from NY and am quite used to paying for parking in the city, but just not in a small town in GA!

Beautiful property. The grounds are amazing. Good dining options. The room and hotel are terrific. We would definitely stay at Chateau Elan again. Great place.

Chateau Elan is a beautiful property with friendly staff that is knowledgeable and welcoming.

Love the experience

Not worth the money. The staff is excellent however the rooms are not welcoming or comfortable. More of a "party" resort than the price represents. While trying to sleep my wife, kids, and I were woken up multiple times from midnight till 3am from loud people.

Amazing experience!

The loud music at the pool stayed on till past closing time and started before opening time and since my room was near the pool it was unpleasant. However, once I reached the front desk and informed them of this nuisance they immediately asked maintenance to turn it off which was helpful.

I love the place!!!. We booked again for Summer ☀️

Love this property my girlfriend and I stay here every time we are in GA. It is by far the best place to stay in Braselton. It can be pricey but it’s worth the money if you enjoy great service and a wonderful stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at the Inn. I stayed in an upgraded room and it was very nice for the most part. Next time, I will stay at their rooms near the spa facility. Overall, I truly enjoyed it and I recommend going there. The spa is absolutely excellent!

Upon arrival I was informed that they did not have a reservation for me. Until I noted that I booked my reservation through you it appeared that we would not be able to stay. Upon learning of my reservation they were able to update the room and I signed a document for your company to realize the uncharge
