We had the absolute best time. The property is unique and well cared for. The staff was kind and helpful in every possible way! The bed was so comfortable and breakfast was unique and wonderful! We will return if we are ever in the area again!

This was an amazing place to stay. The house was lovely and the room was cozy and clean. I enjoyed my balcony and the jacuzzi tub. It’s close to downtown Bloomington but far enough away that it’s peaceful and quiet. Definitely go on a weekend and enjoy the fabulous included gourmet breakfast. I will definitely stay again.

Excellent place to stay in Bloomington

Overall it was a nice, quiet and friendly stay, but there were some quirky things that took away from the experience a bit. First was the temperature. I understand they can’t make it perfect for everyone, but it was stuffy and hot in my room. When asked to adjust the temperature, I was told ok I’ll turn it on but only for a bit. It never really improved. Confessesion- I turned it down myself before I went to bed and it felt much better. The shower was small and the showerhead sprayed out at an angle in such a way that it was bothersome and in my face. With no room to move away from it, it was a bit of a struggle. I also found out too late that they don’t provide conditioner. My curly hair was pretty angry about that predicament the next day. And finally, the bed was squeaky and the toilet kept running. With all that going on, I didn’t feel as relaxed and at ease and I would have liked. ☺️ I would still stay there again though. But I’ll bring my conditioner next time!

The building and room was well maintained and very clean. Sally was extremely welcoming and warm. I will make a repeat stay!

This was a quaint, comfortable, clean stay about 12-15 minutes from the IU campus. Staff was warm and welcoming.

The room was spotless and very welcoming!! Our host was positively delightful, and made us feel so at home!!! And I just can’t say enough about the breakfast!!!! It was absolutely the best breakfast I think I have ever had!!! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Bloomington!!!!

About my fifth stay at the Wampler House. Never disappoints! Mary and Mark go above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The breakfast and baked goods are terrific. Our server, April(I believe), all of right years old was amazing!! Beyond professional and thorough. Her work ethic pts most adults to shame😊

We have stayed here three times and everytime is a wonderful get away. The rooms are always clean, close to many restaurants, staff is kind and welcoming! I love having drinks, and snacks available to curb those needs. Breakfast is also always tops tier and enough to fill you up before heading to town to see the sights and try new places.

The Wampler House is a hidden gem. The environment was warm, cozy and inviting. Our hostess, Sally, was kind and jovial and much of the warmth ensconced in Wampler House, came from her. Absolutely delicious breakfasts were served and were expertly prepared. She also has gluten and dairy-free options for those who have dietary restrictions. Our room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the decor was tasteful and inviting. We will be back!
