    The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and had a menu appealing to everyone in our family. The room needed a deeper cleaning and many minor repairs. Our deepest disappointment was the pool had been closed by the health department in between our booking and arrival. My kids were looking forward to swimming, and particularly because the weather was poor during our trip. If I had known about the pool, I would have canceled and re-booked elsewhere.

    The breakfast was very good with options everyone in my family enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our disappointment came in the overall upkeep of the facility and particularly the pool. I booked this hotel four months ago when we made our travel plans because of the extra space in the room and the pool. When weather prevented us from swimming outdoors, I thought, "At least we have the hotel pool!" But we didn't. I had not idea it had been closed. I would have looked for another hotel had I known because that was a significant piece for our family.

    Air conditioning was not working in the main lobby. Upon check in were notified the bar and pool were closed down and not in use. Property grounds were not maintained. We checked right out and did not stay.

    The room was fantastic. Comfy beds, large size and clean. The pool was broken and the breakfast beverage dispenser was broken. Overall would stay here again. It was perfect for a one night stay while traveling through.

    The entire hotel smelled of pot. Pool is/has been closed for a while with no notice until after you arrive. Room keys had to be reprogrammed daily. AC went out on second day and we had to switch rooms. No “I’m sorry” or upgrade for any of the inconveniences. Just excuses…

    I have to admit I was quite surprised with this hotel. It was a bit hard to find coming off the interstate. My mapping program got a bit confused bun in the end, I found it. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very enjoyable. It was clean, had everything one would want. My only complaint with the room was the shower shampoo, conditioner and soap were placed on the wall, right where you would normally stand. Because of that, you didn't really have any room, and I had to aim the shower head out quite a bit just so I had room to stand in the shower. If they would move these items to be back wall of the shower, it would have been a bit better rating. Because I booked the room on Expedia, there was no mention that the pool was not open. It was drained for maintenance. Being an indoor pool, it would have been nice to have after a long day of motorcycle travel. The breakfast was nice. There were hot items along with cereal and I guess pancakes or waffles. It closed a little early (9:00 AM), which is about an hour earlier than the norm for other hotels. All in all, it was a very nice stay, I'm adding it to my list of places to stay again when I travel through Bloomington again.

    Nice facility with a large spacious room. It was well kept. Breakfast spread was great. The reason why I didn't give it 5 starts was that on the morning we were to leave we found that the elevator was broken down. We were on the second floor and had to deal with a long corridor plus quite a number of stairs steps, plus then doubling back to the lobby. We are elderly and it was a challenge. No assistance was offered.

    The facility was beautiful, floors clean, of course in the lobby area! The breakfast bar was great! The front desk employees were very polite, apologized for everything that didn't work, The fact the pool was shut down by the health dept!, Bar shut down on a Saturday night, hairdryer didn't work, found two baby cochroaches in the bed, other than those things it was fine, it would have been nice to know the pool was down, cause I only book hotels that have operational pools! Book it.com didn't say it wasn't open. Would I stay there again? Only if those things mentioned were corrected,

    The bed from sofa was not coming out and the one bar wasn't connected when it finally came out so the bed wasn't sturdy. The pool was closed and the booking site didn't show that the pool was closed. After traveling 4 1/2 hours we check in and find out the pools closed and that was why we booked the hotel room at this facility.

    This place was relatively quiet and clean but I paid for the use of the pool and that was out of order and they have a bar but no bartender for the last 6 months and I was told that they didn’t have a liquor license so that is why it was closed

    We were in town for a Basketball tournament. The Hotel staff was very nice and helpful when we first arrived. Our room was clean and spacious. The pool was not open (this didn’t affect us but would have if our kids had been younger.) We would stay here again.

    Where to begin. We literally saw a mouse in our room. Called the front desk and the apologized and said they were booked. About 30 min later Called back and said they have a different room for us. That room was even worse. Mouse dropping at pee on the pull out mattresses. Looking further there were droppings on the foundation of the regular beds. So we had to go back to thr room with the mouse because they had nothing. Needless to say I didn't sleep at all. Unfortunately we couldn't go to another hotel because everywhere was bookec due to graduation. I will never return to this hotel.

    Check in was great. Hotel was soooo clean. Pillows and bed were the best! The room was amazing. So peaceful. Got the best night sleep ever. The breakfast was awesome and so clean with tons of variety! If they would get the pool open, the bar open, and all the weight equipment fixed this would probably be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed. But was a little bummed that those amenities were closed with no discount in price. The room, cleanliness, bed/pillows, the sleep I got, and breakfast definitely made up for it though so I still gave 5 stars.

    Room access keys were very unreliable. I had to get my access cards redone 4 times in 5 days. After a long day, the last thing I wanted to do was trudge to the front desk to get a working key. The housekeeping staff was not reliable. Our room was supposed to be cleaned daily, that only happened 2 times. The front desk response was to tell me that housekeeping had told the front desk that our room was cleaned. After the 3rd time they failed to clean our room, I asked for the manager to call me. It’s been 5 days since I checked out, and I’m still waiting for that call. The WiFi was worthless in the evening. Even with a mostly empty hotel, I could not stream a movie consistently. Breakfast, while extensive, was hit or miss. Waffles, toast, and cereal, was ok, hot foods on the steamer table were meh at best. Sat too long with too much heat and it turns eggs rubbery, biscuits hard, gravy gloopy, and potatoes greasy.

    If I were you I would stay away from this place!!! When we checked in they told us the pool was down. They said it was down for two days and it was on the website. One I reserved this hotel three weeks prior. Why would I go to the website? Two the bar was closed. Why would advertise you have a bar if you are not going to have it stocked. You missed out on a lot of money this weekend. We were there for a good time and great racing. At least the racing was good. MY room was nice but someone prior to me spilt something on the box spring and it was never cleaned up. It smelt horrible. The counter staff as we were checking in were not friendly at all we were trying to figure out all the charges on our cards and the were very short and not helpful at all. The breakfast staff was horrible to a group of kids as were eating and all kids do was ask for some more syrup. She snapped at them. I think you really need to do a surprise visit sometime and check on your property.

    Had reservation and receipt but the staff insisted i pay cash for my reservation. Showed him receipt. Even called expedia and they said it was paid for. Expedia did not help either. Would not fix the problem. Be careful when you use One Key Cash. It did not work property. Was stranded at 12 a.m. with no room. Ended up paying twice. Not happy with Hawthorne and certainly not happy with Expeida. I travel for a living and this was bad.

I am not injured from slipping and falling in water that was leaking from the ceiling. My side is bruised up. I reported the ceiling leak for nothing to be done about it. The nasty hair in the tub i could not even shower. I again told them and they said they sent everyone home and could not do anything. The dripping ceiling that I could not sleep at all. Oo let's go back to I am INJURED due to slipping on water coming from a leak in the ceiling. All the amenities that they sell you to get yoi to book are closed. Pool CLOSED Bar CLOSED work out CLOSED They give you nothing and charge double.

    The breakfast was okay. The beds were comfy enough. In our first room there was mouse poop in the pull out bed. They gave us another room and in that room there were still used sheets on the new pull out bed. We also saw bugs and the toilet seat didn't fit the toilet. The door handle also didn't latch in the bathroom.

    Room cleanliness was ok. Hotel still under construction. Pool was closed. No idea if it might reopen. My kids wanted to swim, so we felt completely misled. Staff was rude when we asked about the pool not being open. Breakfast food was ok, not great. I won’t ever stay here again.

    The front desk staff was friendly and professional enough. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was decent, but that's about where the pleasantries ended. After paying for the room, I didn't know there was a $100 deposit required for incidentals where they require a hold on your card. I almost couldn't check in to the hotel I had already paid for, because I wasn't prepared for that and had to make some phone calls. The room needs some serious updates and could have been cleaner, the bathtub had hair in it, there was no alarm clock, and no hand soap in my room. I walked down to the front desk to let them know the next morning. The front desk didn't have access to the hand soap because it was under lock and key and he wasn't even sure if rooms even had alarm clocks in their rooms anymore. When I got back to the hotel the next evening, they had brought up an alarm clock that didn't work and I never did get hand soap my during entire stay there. It is not the worst hotel I have stayed in, but I have definitely stayed in better for about the same price I paid for this one.

    Our room door did not lock, the dead bolt was missing screws and hanging on by a thread, the actual door lock was not aligned with the door frame. The bed springs had brown stains on them, the TV in the room did not work, every channel said no signal, the sink faucet was about to fall off, breakfast was good though

    I was traveling with three kids by myself from Texas. When we checked into the room there was a puddle of water on the carpet that we found out later was from the AC/Heater unit leaking. The kids and I had unloaded the car by then so I decided to just cover it with a towel for now. When I noticed there were a shortage of towels I called downstairs to ask for more so we could shower before going to my brothers’ house. As we moved around the room we noticed so much dirt and dust everywhere. While we were out I went to the dollar store and purchased cleaning supplies and my niece and I cleaned the room ourselves. The next day I told them about how nasty the room was, they offered another room, but I had already cleaned that one and had unpacked all of our things for the week, including groceries. So that night my nephew decides to open the couch and sleep there for space. There were brown streaks on the couch mattress!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. There was one worker who seemed to understand English or cared to admit to it to try and help us out. The only good thing was the size of the room. Would’ve been even nicer if I didn’t have to clean it.

    Room was fine, employees were nice pool was out of order, dryer was out of order, vending machines were out of order, bar was never open, dishwasher leaked soap soon as I turned it on, ceiling have cracks, almost every amenity mentioned didn’t work bad plastering and yellow stains from what looks like a previous leak. I would say it’s like a motel that costs more.

    The first room they put us in gad dead stnink bigs and lady bugs and flies all over also pills my the bed there was a jacket hanging in claset tolet was dirty so they put us in another room which was cleaner but the tv did not work we asked they was unable to get it to work and said sorry. When we checked out guy asked how service was we told him things didnt work he was rude and said we'll sorry for your inconvenience.

    Our room lock was malfunctioning, and maintenance tried to fix it but was unable to at the time. Therefore, we couldn't leave the room without someone staying back to reopen the door without having to call maintenance again. The pool was also freezing cold to where our kids couldn't enjoy it-they were shivering after being in for just a few minutes.

    The room had water damage on the ceiling. When I brought it up to the clerk after first checking in, I was told they knew about it and to come back and let them know if there’s any new moisture. The tv didn’t work from the moment we got there. I messaged through the app about the issue, and the hotel never got back to me. I had young children with me, so I went to the front desk about it, but their solution was to move us to another room because they had no idea how to fix it. There was a patch of black mold above the mirror in the bathroom that we didn’t notice until the last of three nights. Based on their responses to everything else, we didn’t report that to the front desk. The fitness center machines were missing pieces, so the amount of weight couldn’t be adjusted, and some machines didn’t work at all. The size of the room was very nice, and it did have a really nice fridge. The A/C unit worked very well also.

    The door would not close and lock. We had to use the safety look. The hand soap in the bathroom was coming off the wall. The body soap in the shower wasjust sitting in the tub instead of where it went. The AC did not cool the room at all.

    Literally EVERYTHING was far and above a 5 star rating !!!! Especially the reception desk hosts in Sunday Sept.28th. We left a bad experience at a different hotel and were able to get booked here on very short notice with minimal waiting while rooms were prepared. Between the awesome front desk to the amazing housekeeping staff everyone there deserves a raise and acknowledgement of their presence. The ONLY thing I would change is that I wish we would have booked with them 1st !!!!!!!

    Made a quick stop here before continuing on to our destination. Our room was very spacious and I could see how it would be nice for longer stays. It was located right off of 55 so easy access. Looked like a nice area with food options close. We appreciated that breakfast opened at 6am on weekdays so we could eat early and get on the road. Great breakfast options with eggs, sausage- both pork and turkey, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, pastries, yogurt, waffle maker, and juices. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

    I’m extremely frustrated with the facility as well as the management. Upon using the pull out bed in my room during my stay, That was set up correctly. It collapsed underneath me, putting a large, deep gash on the back of my ankle cutting my achilles tendon causing me to get 5 stitches at the local hospital. The staff was notified before and after the hospital visit and instead of assessing the situation, they put the blame on me. I reached out to hotel franchise directly and still haven’t received an answer. Absolutely unbelievable. If you stay here don’t use the pull out couches in the room. Thankfully my INFANT wasn’t on the bed when this happened.

    Booked the room a week prior. Traveled 3.5 hours only to arrive and be told there was no rooms available. The lady at check in was NOT sympathetic even and even refused to refund the money so we rent a room at a different hotel. So we were without a room and the money we paid at 11pm. She claimed they had no way of knowing who books rooms! This is completely unacceptable!

    It was OK. But the shower head sprayed water over the top and soaked our toiletries bags. We didn’t realize this was happening until we were done showering. The woman at the front desk was very helpful, brought us lots of towels to help clean up and dry things. She also brought a replacement shower head, I was able to swap it out, using Teflon tape to seal it. No more spaying leaks! I was a little disappointed that the breakfast didn’t start until 7 AM, so no good coffee was available. To me, 7 AM is late for those of us traveling. Overall, it was an OK stay but I’d look elsewhere if we needed to stop in this area again. The staff was very nice and helpful, thank you. But the facility needs updating.

    El hotel no esta bien cuidado, el area de el breadfast vacio no variedad , solo lo utilice 2 dias y el primer dia baje una hora antes y no quedaba ni cafe, espere y nunca pusieron de nuevo y todavia quedaba 1 hora para terminar la hora de el desayuno. La habitacion el piso sucio no se podia caminar sin zapatos en la habitación, la cocina los pocos utencilios que habian estaban sucios. Y para colmo tengon 3 transacciones que aparecen hechas por el hotel el cual ellos dicen que no reconocen y que no hicieron pero estan facturadas bajo el nombre de el hotel en mi tarjeta de credito. Asi que en servicio y experiencia hacido el peor hotel en el que me e quedado. No lo recomiendo para nada.

    Beds were rock hard-no give at all. Pool had too much chlorine in it. Tv wouldn’t work. Folklore was peeling from water damage. Water damage on the ceiling and walls.. tub wouldn’t drain.     When we first checked in we were given a room that should have been condemned. The tile floor was missing chunks and the leather on the back of the chair was ripped off. The sofa couch that was in the room looked like someone had dipped their hands in a vat of oil and rubbed it into the armrest of the couch. We inspected the bed and found hair and what looked to be bugs. We went down to the front desk and requested a different room. The new room was decent enough to sleep in. In the morning we went downstairs to breakfast in the middle of The breakfast hour. The food was disgusting dried out or tasted leftover. The person who was attending breakfast had pulled the trash bags out of the trash can and laid them on the floor instead of taking the trash out and replacing liners in the trash can. People either left their plates and cups on the tables or attempted to throw them into the trash bags that were laying on the floor. This hotel needs to clean up their act!

    Took me a while to get in the room as key would not open until they replaced it twice. Shower did not work, and the Bath tub was clogged like a dirty pool, … so had to use a damp towel on the sink to clean myself. Toilet seat was broken on the 2 ends (front) and was unsafe to sit, Sink had an unsafe 2” hole, and the BED sheets were stained and w/ hairs all over, so had to just sleep ON the bed covering w towels. TV did not work, sofa had yucky stains. Nothing I could do to fix it since I checked in close to midnight and needed to leave early 6-7am. This property is in a decent location but really outdated, borderline between broken in need of renovation and cheap one night stand motel.

    The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows they supplied on the bed should’ve been on a couch. They were barely big enough for a head took many hours for the air conditioning to catch up usually in a hotel you’ll have many flyers down by the front desk or in the room of local amenities or destinations in the town. There was nothing was supposed. Have a king size bed. It was not so booking on Expedia and what actually gets booked at the hotel needs work.

    After previously staying at the property for business a few years ago, we booked a room after attending a family wedding. The desk was not staffed and we had to wait and call the 800 looking for someone to check us in. The sofa and chair were in poor condition and I wouldn't sit on the sofa. The kitchen sink was dirty, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain and the bed and pillows are very firm and uncomfortable. The bar was closed indefinitely, as is the gaming room. For the price, the room and property overall need attention and upkeep. The breakfast was ok.

    When we got to the property around 4pm our room was not ready. The cleaning staff had us wait 45 minutes to finish the room and it was disgusting when we finally got in. The floors had gummy bears and lemons in the corners and under the cabnets. Their were "stains" on the furniture, the toilet was broken and wouldnt flush, the shower was broken and you couldn't get the shower to turn on only the bath as well as stains on the tub. The television was broken and had a huge line down it. There were handprints on the mirror and the kitchenette was dirty with baked food on the traps and filth in the sink. The bar in the lobby that was advertised on the listing was closed down and the gameroom as well! The ONLY good thing this property has going for it is the front desk manager named Rusty. She was fantastic!! She went up and cleaned a room herself and even though she was super busy, took time to move us into another room and make sure everything worked properly. She should be given a raise for all the hard work she does, she is the only one who cares about the property. The cleaning staff and owners should look for new lines of work cause this isnt it. The property was in disrepair and dirty and the owners obviously dont care about their business. The only reason I didnt give this place a 0 star was becasue of the front desk manager

    The rooms were dirty, the furniture had stains on it, they tried to charge my card every night I was there, my key to my room was deactivated every time I went out the hotel, and even though the website said they do not expect cash I had to pay 100$ cash deposit or I wasn’t going to be allowed to stay even though my room was paid in full

    I submitted a request to extend my stay via the Hawthorn Suites direct website. Kim refused to accept my 1p & 3p check-out request for my prior stay. First, Kim called my room#, didnt know my name, & rudely stated that she will not extend my stay at all, no way. She said the Hawthorn Suites website had nothing to do with their property (false advertising about room amenities). When i came to the front desk to speak with her she was about 4ft outside the front door smoking a cigarette and looking at her phone. I asked if she was the person that talked to me 'like that' & she said yes, with an attitude. I walked away. When I came back in the building i noted to her thst she's smoking too close to the front door. I clarified my earlier conversation with Kim & she further stated thst i could stay if i paid another full nights fee. Hef coworker pulked up while we were talking & asked Kim what was going on. Kim told the coworker, with am attitude, "it's nothing". I said it wad something & proceeded to pay the cost for another night for approx. 4 more hours stay. Kim/Jamie called the police on me & told them that her name was Jamie, the alleged GM. Kim made no effort to accommodate my need to stay a few more hours. She even refused to let me sit in the lobby b4 she called the police on me. She was nasty, unprofessional and prior reviews speak for themselves. A valued Whyndam member

    Rundown buildings nearby lend to ant & rodent issues. Nice to have Crackel Barrel nearby. Kim at the front desk is rude, unprofessional & spends a lot of time smoking at the front door of the hotel. False advertising- most amenities on the website don't exist at this hotel & they refused to accommodate any paid late checkout. Housekeeping seems to do a pretty good job

    After we were given our room and asleep, our room was checked out to another family. They tried to get in at 4:45am. Woke everyone up. Nothing was done. In the morning none of our keys worked.

    The only negative is the sound from the freeway. Next time i shall request a room on the other side. It felt like a comfortable studio apartment. The room was large, clean and spacious. The included breakfast was good except for the hard tator tots. Check in/out was quick with knowledgeable and friendly staff.

    First room we were given had not been cleaned. Beer cans all over, dirty room. Second room had holes in the flooring. 3rd room was clean. All 3 rooms had an old dirty red couch. It was gross. Don’t stay in this hotel. We have stayed in many Hawthorn hotels. This was terrible and disgusting

    Had issues during checkin with rude staff member at front desk. Then had issues with shower equipment. However, the next morning the staff was wonderful to get us into a better room with no issues. The breakfast was very limited and the cereral and pastries were old and stale.

    Room was clean, very quiet, great breakfast the only problem was the toiletries had to ask for more toilet paper and didnt have any hand soap or body wash in the room! Otherwise it would be a perfect 10!

    Dirty, room smelled like food. Stove had burnt on food. Asked for towels and was told there was no housekeeping anymore. It was 4:30 pm. Drain in the bathtub was clogged.

    I liked the roominess of the room however there was stuff splashed on the wall between the beds mirror still had tooth paste splatter on it the toilet paper roll holder was filled with dust. The people above us rolled in there chair across the floor for hours!! Till 2 am! Guests were rude fighting with customer service. Pool was extremely over chlorinated!! I asked for room service on Saturday morning for fresh towels and trash to be emptied and a sweep due to food being on floor came back late afternoon nothing was touched. The night front desk lady was very respectful! Nice girl helped us with politeness!! Day time front desk ladies rude as hell!!

    We booked a suite they did not have it available at the time of check-in. Their elevator was broken and only one employee was able to bang it just right and get it to work. I use a wheelchair and was then promised a first floor room and then told oh sorry we don’t have that room available. We had to cancel our reservation and go elsewhere. Because their elevator was not operational and couldn’t accommodate our party in the selected room type.

    We have never stayed at a Hawthorne Inn Hotel before. Im thrilled that i have Hawthorne Inn a chance! We were pleasantly surprised!! Check on was a breeze! Hotel was modern, very clean, safe & great customer service! Our room was big, very clean & comfortable! I had a problem with the TV remotes, totally my fault & couldn't figure it out. Allison came diehard to our room & we got the TV working again. Kim at the 1st desk was extremely nice & professional. We went down to the pool, however we didn't stay long since the pool was on the cool side. Just need to be warmer. We were in town for a funeral. We decided to book another night! Will definitely stay here again!! Lovely place! Very impressed! And the tasting for this hotel shills be like at least a 9!!

    The floors were sticky feeling. My room had drawings all over the floor. Ny bathroom had hair all over the toilet and tub, with standing water in the tub still. There was mold/mildew around the edge of the tub and around the faucet of the tub. There was food still in the cupboards and frosting on the couch.
