An amazing stay! Great location

This is an excellent hotel. The customer service was the best I have ever received. The staff was attentive, helpful, and went out of their way to give guests a great experience. We arrived early and our room was ready well before check- in time. One member of our group popped a button on her dress as we were headed out the door to my nephew's graduation. Someone from the front desk found a sewing kit and ran to our Uber so that the repair could be made on our way to the ceremony. We enjoyed the on site restaurant. The food at Viviene was delicious. We enjoyed the morning coffee, lunched by the pool, and had a celebratory family dinner for 11 at a poolside table. Everything was terrific. I highly recommend the Avalon to anyone looking for relaxed luxury in a neat section of Beverly Hills.

Nice and roomy, comfy bed, super nice shower products, the best is that it is within walking distance to the Urth Cafe. Easy check in and friendly staff.

Really nice property! Very nice public areas, room with all the amenities and super comfortable. I liked everything about it and would happily stay here again! I also felt that it was a very good value at the time that I stayed. Everything was great!

Front desk staff was amazing

The layout and historical charm of the place, and the staff were exceptional. It is close to high end stores and restaurants in a very up-market area. It could be quite noisy at times. Light sleepers would be best requesting a room on the top floor.

The staff is always smiling and helps to solve the issue you have. Follow up the process until it is resolved

Its almost painful to give a bad review to this hotel because there are genuinely some very nice staff members - mainly the valet staff. Unfortunately the hotel is not clean at all. I had to ask them to clean my room every day as house keeping either forgot or ran out of time. The suites building across the street is overlooked by staff. Avoid booking those suites, they have zero natural sunlight which makes depressing to stay in. The pictures of the pool area do NOT represent reality.

The staff was excellent. Every employee was cordial and friendly. The people at the counter, the restaurant staff, and the valet workers were all very nice. Cannot think of anything I didn't like.

The staff were understaffed for valet and bell hop. We were in a hurry to get to a major event, waited 40 minutes for our luggage and then went and retrieved it ourselves!

I arrived at 4:30pm and had filled out the check in form in advance, check in was at 3pm and at 4:30pm I was told room was not ready and they didn't know when it will be ready which was really annoying. I asked them to accomodate late checkout in that case and they rejected to accomodate a full late checkout at 4pm amd said i could checkout at 2pm. They said I was going to get free drinks (the VIP access mentioned also free drink per person per stay) but did not get jt. I also confirmed that I did not need valet parking as the street was full of parking spots. I got my room, the room was nice spacious and clean and checked out the next day. Afterwards I received a folio via email and I was charged for valet parking. I had to call them and tell them I was charged and they looked into it then reversed the charge. It is a great location, room was spacious but for the price paid horrible service. I had to run after them to get certain things done and I had to request late checkout when they failed to check me in on time.

This is the best kept secret. Great location, outstanding staff that take personal great care of you. Great price and value for the money is just outstanding. The restaurant is great too. The vibe here is so old Hollywood. Quiet, beautiful and 20 minutes from the airport, but right in the middle of things.

I enjoyed the restaurant. I had breakfast and dinner several times, and it was a great experience.

I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled with my entire stay; i stayed in both your Beverly and Canon buildings, each of which are wonderful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and I was thrilled with the space, bathroom, and obviously the incredibly cozy bathrobes and slippers. The staff was kind, accommodating, and were quick to help with any extra needs in my room. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

It was comfortable and the pool was great. I love the açaí bowls too. They could renovate the alleys.

Valet parking is a pain as the valets are often not available and you will wait for your car to be picked up or dropped off. They are good folks but probably overworked. The check out staff we encountered clearly had a chip on the shoulder and was either incapable of or disinclined to assist a customer. Shame, as the hotel is in a fairly good location although not quite within walking distance of anything that LA has to offer.

I stay at Avalon all the time. The staff is very helpful and recognized repeat or loyal customers which is nice. They put me in the Canon Building which is not optimal. The room is basically the same. However, no elevator in Canon Building.

It’s such a wonderful hotel. It’s intimate , well sized , it’s personal yet private and very comfortable . I wish all hotels are like this There is really nothing to complain about

Great boutique hotel in Beverly Hills. Staff and service were excellent. Had dinner at the hotel one night, and the outdoor patio poolside was a great atmosphere with live music, and the food was excellent. I had the grilled branzino, and it was delicious. Check in and check out was also a very pleasant experience.

Excellent staff. Room was in older building across an alley; no hot water second morning so we were shepherded to a room in the office/pool . At first there were apologies with no further‘ compensation’. Water was fixed later in the day. At checkout the hotel had given us a reduction on our bill. Given other options I would not stay in the older part again.

I really liked this place, it was chill, the hotel staff was great, but a waiter at the restaurant wasn’t friendly and snapped at me, then I got seated in his area and he wouldn’t come to the table. It was pretty passove aggressive. After about 15min, another waiter approached me.

Extra fees charged are too much. $58 parking fee is ridiculous considering they park the car onsite at the hotel. The $28 fee was explained to be for the "free coffee" and the pool. Seems like a cash grab.

The hotel is very well-located and has a cool vibe. However, the restaurant is overpriced and not great. Overnight parking is also expensive.

The hotel is absolutely charming and feels like a boutique hotel. The service was spectacular and it’s just a lovely little place to stay. My friend and I each got our own rooms but we both had only one complaint the shower is outrageously slippery. They have a smooth marble on the floor of the shower and that should not be. At a minimum they should offer a rubber mat or put some of those no stick aftermarket things so that you wouldn’t slip in the shower But other than that it was wonderful.

The hotel is absolutely charming and feels like a boutique hotel. The service was spectacular and it’s just a lovely little place to stay. We had a lovely stay at Avalon with our medium large rescue dog. The suite was super clean and chic. The walk in shower was amazing. The bed was super comfortable. We had a small balcony overlooking the pool. The food at the hotel is really good and I’m picky.

Nice. Except I found it weird that when you go to a hotel they can’t even provide premium channels. They have them but you have to log in with your own account to access them. I really don’t want to sit there and log in to their cable remember my password for Disney. It’s weird. Come on at least provide some good channels.

Upon arrival the desk clerk offered me a smaller less accommodating room than what I actually booked. I advised him this is NOT the room i booked for my stay. The clerk quickly found a room that was on par with my booking. Also appears the hotel may be down grating it's in room complementary items such as Water bottles which are now paper BOXED Waters not the Glass Bottles from years past.

Small hotel divided into three buildings, one across the street ( where we stayed). Older facility. Bedroom was nothing special. Shower was very good but water would spill all over the bathroom floor. Bathroom had no fan to clear out steam or bad odour. Not up to standard expected from a nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not many amenities in hotel. Not much of an atmosphere. Valet parking fees were ridiculous. Bed was comfortable. All in all not sure I would recommend.

Small hotel divided into three buildings, one across the street ( where we stayed). Older facility. Bedroom was nothing special. Shower was very good but water would spill all over the bathroom floor. Bathroom had no fan to clear out steam or bad odour. Not up to standard expected from a nice hotel. My husband and I stayed here because it was close to cedars Sinai. My only complaint is for 300.00 a night even the in room coffee is an extra charge. We even used our own bottled water to make the coffee. Lower star hotels offer $10in room coffee at no extra charge. They also have streaming channels but you have to log in to your account. Just crazy for what you pay a night.

Overall good. Liked the gym, restaurant good with very good service. Room decent but soundproofing especially for interior of hotel was lacking and combined with weekend noise around pool which was sometimes quite loud it diminished enjoyment.

Great hotel and awesome very polite staff. Restaraunt around the pool is a nice place to work at lunch or swim between drinks. Large & clean room. Highly recommend. Walk to BH shopping

Spent 5 nights there. Nice enough. No available ice machine and the fridge couldn’t keep up even on high. Some staff were so on it to bring ice and some were terrible. Called 3 times. Nice work desk but no other chairs or tables than that.

the room seemed run down. the telephone and the tv didn't work. valet was missing at one point, and I had to wait quite a while. not worth the price at all.

It reminded me of a modern 70s retro hotel which I loved! The only down side was having to walk the an ally to get to the other building where our room was. Staff was excellent. Room service great. Very close to a grocery store which was great.

The Avalon Hotel is a delightful boutique hotel option for Beverly Hills. The hotel is oriented around its poolside restaurant/cafe, Viviane, which has a very charming Mid-Century Modern vibe. The room furnishings are classy and comfortable, the staff is extremely charming and helpful, and the price is very reasonable for the area. Would recommend!

Ally the manager was AmZing. The room was not really a Beverly Hills experience. I was in the bldg behind the hotel off of an alley. Water and ice you can only get from the bar when needed. Other than that, Ally made it a better experience. Thanks Ally.

Check-in was a breeze! Took me literally 3 minutes. Room is large and the bed is super comfy. Can’t wait to get to the pool tomorrow.

Great hotel and friendly staff. Was provided with a complimentary drinks, they made our stay extra special for my partner. Rooms were huge, and great location, walking distance to centre of Beverly Hills. We would stay here again.

Nice place BUT missed on small details. One day completely missed cleaning the room, no convenient plugs in room phone computer and phone chargers, no lamp on desk making it hard to work, nice gym equipment BUT one treadmill was down for the entire stay… little things that added up :(

Older hotel, but clean and safe. Overall price (Including parking and amenities fee) is good in comparison with other hotels in Beverly Hills.

The Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills is a nice place to stay. Just… okay and nice. Everyone working at Guest Services is kind and accommodating except for the young woman working on Tuesday night 9/20. She was dismissive and lazy and more interested in her phone than in doing her job. Everyone working the Valet station was awesome. Quick service and very kind. The room was … meh. The toilet broke twice. The glass shelving on the wall was useless. Everything just slid off. And the shelves are above the toilet so, unless you want your things to take a bath in the toilet bowl, the shelves are not really usable. The beds are very comfortable. I just wish there were black out curtains or something. The room gets quite bright the minute the sun starts to come up. Sleeping in did not happen. But the room was clean enough and I felt safe sleeping in it.
