Clean hotel in a good location for what I needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The valets were fast. One of the two elevators was not working, but they provided signed access to the two staff elevators to make up for it.

The room was very nice and spacious ! I really enjoyed the breakfast and the staff was friendly as well. The only challenge was the elevator, one is under construction and we had to wait each time.

The property was lovely. Rooms are huge and delicious breakfast for the entire stay. Valet parking in and out all day. Would definitely be my place when visiting the area.

The in room coffee maker could use an upgrade.

The breakfast is very good and enjoyable. We have been here often. The staff is helpful. It was too cold in the room and we could not adjust the temperature so that it was comfortable.

We stayed 2 days and it was great. Our room was like an apartment, large bedroom, living room, table and stools for eating and a stocked kitchen. The room was very clean and updated. Right down the hall was the breakfast area and they put out a really nice breakfast. On the penthouse level they have a beautiful patio overlooking the city, the pool is no longer available. They also have a really nice workout room and next to that a coin laundry. They also offer parking and valet but it was $40/day, not worth it. You can go right down the street to the Waverly state run parking garage for $1.75/hour and you only have to pay from 7 am to 10 pm and you can leave overnight for free. Metro is 1 1/2 blocks away too, so convenient. Love this place. Price was great but it can get pricey depending on the time of year, I think we got lucky.

The elevator didn’t work 90%of the time- there was a very strong overpowering odor in the hallway on our floor (5th) that was hard to take.

The Residence Inn is a few minutes' walk from Bethesda Metro; many good restaurants nearby. My suite was well-equipped and very comfortable.

Clean, very pleasant staff. Breakfast was included which was nice, with decent variety to choose from. The hotel proximity to the Metro station (one block away) ;provided excellent travel on the RED subway line and bus lines to/from Wahsington DC in minutes. Automobile valet service was very quick as well.

I don't like how the mail is handled. Mailed my son, a card two weeks prior and it still had not arrived. Staff claimed that it could be anywhere. I had the exact address of the hotel and marked it downtown, and they still did not have it.

Location good close to Walter Reed Hospital, Rockville, and the National Mall. Elevator was out of service, however, staff was courteous and walked each guest to the service elevator which was nice after coming back late with a few to many to drink. It's the DC area pricey for what you get. $150 is a night is the true value. Skip on breakfast if you can afford to.

As a family, we liked that the breakfast was included, compared to other large city hotels. Paid valet parking was available, but we chose the county garage, which was much affordable, on the opposite block. Entire staff was friendly. Lack of fresh coffee or tea in the lobby all day. Lack of ice machines -- the suite had a small refrigerator and had manual ice trays to make your own. I don't want that on a vacation. Make ice!

The hotel offers a free breakfast with plenty of excellent choices, which was a great way to start the day. The 24-hour fitness center is a nice amenity, though I was a bit disappointed to learn that the pool is no longer available — something to keep in mind if that’s important to you.

This was overall a great stay. I marked it down for cleanliness because when we opened the sleep sofa, it had not been cleaned under the cushions and crumbs and crap fell into the mattress.

OK, for a stay for my daughter to recover from surgery, I was surprised how awesome this was. The valet was a great service. The front desk was lovely and happy. We've stayed here a few times, as it's extremely convenient for our needs. The rooms are not lavish, but they are clean and very comfortable. The gym has been recently renovated and is well appointed with equipment.

Traveling with my family I always look for hotel that offers a home style comfort and this place did just that, I was very impressed with how clean and comfortable this place was and I’m looking forward to going there again

When we needed a place to stay at the last minute, we found this gem and loved it. The customer service was awesome, the rooms were wonderful and comfortable, and breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again or recommend it!

The hotel staff was friendly and the room was spotless. We requested linens for the sofa bed and they were brought to expeditiously. The interior of the hotel is modern, which I appreciated.

The Staff is super friendly and helpful to us out of towners. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a window that did not lock, which allowed a little more noise for the streets in the room. Heads up the rooms that have kitchens, there is no oven only a 2 burner stove top. There is a dishwasher and refrigerator. One of the two elevators work off and on. My husband and mother was stuck in one for a short time. Close to food and shopping both within walking distance, 2-3 blocks. Overall experience was great!! We would stay again if in the area.

The Marriott is notoriously known for "horrible lighting"!!! Two small lights on each side of the bed, no overhead light,no magnifying mirror in the bathroom, terrible light there too! Our room was against another building so hardly any sunlight to help the situation! As a woman who uses make-up, how are you suppose to prepare for an event? Not good enough....

While the hallways are older, the rest of the hotel is very nice. Breakfast is included, so that was nice, and tasty. My room was clean and the shower/sink had great pressure. Will stay again.

The location is great for getting public transportation (bus and metro) and there is a lot of shopping and restaurants in the area (walking distance). I liked having the countertop sink area to put toiletries on and appreciated the closet bar was not too high (I am quite short). Apparently they are about to do renovations which are really needed - tje place needs a refresh. Appreciated the on site laundry facility at a pretty reasonable prices.

We had an all too short stay at the Marriott Residence Inn in downtown Bethesda, Maryland. Our room was huge, great mattress, spotlessly clean kitchenette and bathroom. The hallways smelled so fresh and inviting not at all stale and uninviting like many hotels. Staff was professional and pleasant. And the price was reasonable! Would I recommend this place? Absolutely!

Expedia needs to do a better job describing the cost of parking and WiFi at their hotels. The parking was $30/day and the WiFi as 4.95/day per device. The place itself was very nice and so was the hot breakfast…… which is also described as continental on Expedias site.

You may want to park your car in nearby public parking garage instead using the valet parking of hotel to save some dollars. Other than the hotel is perfect place to stay for your DC trip.

Very nice place to stay if you want to travel into D.C or there were many thing to do within walking distance of the hotel. I hope to return again sometime and spend more time exploring the area.

One of the only two elevators not working. The rate is too high for what it offers.The hotel needs to have a self-parking at an affordable rate.

Locating the hotel was easy, valet parking, and check in were easy. The valet was very helpful with navigating the BBJ supper club. I would definitely stay here again.

Front desk staff, valets, maid service and food attendants at the buffet were all very friendly, engaging and pleasant.
