Everything was Good but I pay to much for my dog or I don’t if the staff make a mistake

This Marriott is in an apartment desert so don’t plan on stepping out anywhere. It was advertised with a salt water pool but it wasn’t. The room was stuffy and when air conditioning kicked in it was loud.
- 5/5
This hotel was so clean and the beds were super comfortable which is my favorite reason to absolutely stay here every time! The staff is helpful and the rooms are always immaculate
- 3/5
The air conditioner was not adjustable. The engineer that came to show us how to make it work also could not get it to work.
- 1/5
Was much appreciated, however it was v dirty. It was impossible to stay in the room without using the fan and that triggered difficulty in breathing for all the next day.

Nice staff, close to our business meetings, just no restaurants or stores in walking distance.

This is a fabulous hotel with an amazing staff! It's also a very reasonable deal. I'd like to thank Samantha, Clarence, Carlos, Marcus, Alari (I'm spelling it wrong sorry girl) the housekeeping staff and the very young man with short curls who checked me in. These people were incredible in many ways but they really rose above and beyond to help my disable me so much. Truly appreciated. Great for disabled folks, great place to bring a dog, for smokers they have two out of the way excellent outdoor smoking areas (non-smokers: you will not have to deal with smoke), and the pool area is very nice.

Good if you travel alone, Not family or kids friendly nothing to do with the kids, the only thing available for kids and reason for me to decide to stay was the pool and it was not available.

Our biggest concern was the way the furniture was designed for the room. We had 2 large suitcases, which is to be expected for a room with a king size bed. But there was only room for one! And there was not a comfortable chair for my 6'2" husband!

Layout of rooms. Very inaccessible. The amenities were placed on a stand that was tilted and almost broken. Not sure why maintenance had overlooked that. Everything else inside the room was clean and well kept.

The room was very dated and dirty. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and whenever you moved around the room, dust followed you. I told the front desk when we first checked in but they were fully booked and couldn’t change our room. Maid service never came to the clean the room until I went to complain to the front desk. The front desk gave me Bonvoy points and $50 credit but then took the credit away because maid service did technically come after I complained. I think that’s was not a good thing to do because I had to go out of my way to wait in line to complain in order for a basic service to be done. Also I called ahead and asked when the pool would be open and I was told Sunday at 1pm but it turns out that was not true and the pool was closed so I stayed an extra night for no reason. It just wasn’t a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The staff was polite but they just didn’t do enough to make up for the terrible stay even after my bad experience was brought to their attention. There’s lot of hotels in the area so go with one of those and not this one.

Clean friendly staff 12-20 miles from all activities… nice location
- 3/5
The room was clean and very well maintained, although during our 2-day stay we reported a running toilet and it was never repaired. The staff were very friendly, including front desk, housekeeping and bar. But what I could not fix was the noise of the air units and possibly engines in the parking lot outdoors. These noises never seemed to go away all through the night.

no valet staff to park cars and a 25/day charge to self park/ front desk did not inform about any "extras" that might be available and more importantly what was not. such as no coffee in the morning/ instead you had to go into the bar/dining facility and pay for a cup of coffee/ did not inform that after a certain hour the front door was locked and a key card was necessary. overall ok but not great communication

I have stayed in Marriott hotels for more than 30 years and without a doubt this was my worst experience. My wife and I arrived in DC and I went straight to a business meeting and sent her to the hotel. She recently had surgery and needed to relax. The hotel manager would not let her check in under my name. I called and he said Zi had to be there in person. I offered to zoom or FaceTime with my license and he said no go. Beyond ridiculous that I can close on a house and testify in Federal court via zoom but can’t check into a hotel which has already been fully paid for. My wife had to wait for hours until I arrived and when I did I got stuck in the elevator. The maintenance man told me literally not to worry and it happens all the time. The electrical outlets next to the bed didn’t work and when I went to talk to the manager he said he does not care.

The room itself was uncomfortably hot, and it was difficult to regulate the temperature. On top of that, the hotel seemed overwhelmed due to multiple events happening at the same time, which made the entire property feel chaotic and disorganized. Parking was one of the biggest issues. There was no complimentary parking, and I was charged $25 per car for two vehicles. I was then told I couldn’t pay for a third car (my sister-in-law’s) due to a two-car limit per room. However, the parking gate wasn’t functioning properly, so other guests were coming and going without paying. That made it especially frustrating to have paid around $50 while others parked for free due to system issues. Additionally, the condition of the room and property raised concerns. The bedding was torn, and the lighting fixtures appeared outdated with exposed or worn wiring, which honestly felt unsafe. The hallways were also noticeably dirty. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations, especially for the cost. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and considers making improvements—or offering some form of compensation for the experience.

the resturant was exspensive, food was delicious, service wasn't great. decided hat having to buy breakfast at the resturant was going to be to exspensive so we found an iHop. Paying for parking was a bit much and it was difficult to get in and out of the hotel. the tickets didn't work well to open the gate. Oh and I reserved a hearing/mobility room/tub I was hoping it just had a shower it didn't. Mobility issues generally mean tubs are not a good fit.
- 1/5
I reserved a room with a Roll in shower. When I arrived the fully trained staff didn't even know which rooms had them and it took an hour or manager to finally offer an available room but just for one night. We opted to cancel the reservation and leave
- 3/5
Ok facility. Very expensive parking for its customers
- 2/5
The lobby is nice and then you get to the rooms. The hallways are disgusting. The room look clean at first glance. The shower had hair in it, and the curtain was dirty. The beds sheet had stains on them as well.

I am unhappy with Bethesda Marriott. They need to be more transparent with their charges up front, not when I get to check-in. If parking will cost $25 a day, tell me when I book the room, not afterwards. Also, my credit card was charged for internet access, which I didn't use when I saw that it required me to pay for internet. I will dispute the internet charge with Marriott get satisfaction. If they say no, I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.

We were offered breakfast for 2, free use of club house which we did not use and free parking for disable. We were thankful for the trade off and hopeful that we made the right choice and we were offered the best from the Bethesda Marriot Poons Hill MD.

The room was fine, certainly met expectations in this price range. Very good fitness center with many machines. The one main issue that brings the score down was the elevators. There are too few for the size of the place, and some didn't seem to always be working; there were several times when I had to wait 5 minutes, or just take the stairs to avoid waiting.

ROOM 209 HAS BEDBUGS. We saw a bedbug in each of our 2 beds past midnight and so we called the front desk. We waited for almost 30 minutes before an engineering guy came and inspected the bugs that we found. He then called another staff member to look for another room for us. We had to wait another 15-20 mins before we were finally transferred to another room. But of course, we were already paranoid and were unable to sleep comfortably that night. When we were checking out, the staff only offered complimentary breakfast after we adamantly expressed our complaints. I feel like additional accommodations should have been offered without us having to ask due to the disruption and unsanitary conditions of our stay. The breakfast was good but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to our terrible experience.

Only the location was satisfactory. Everything else was terrible. The restaurant and amenities were horribly overpriced. The shuttle did not pick us up from the metro station at the scheduled time, we got tired of waiting and Ubered back to the hotel. Everything was unsatisfactory. We were put in a small room, room no. 145, between a storage closet and a large meeting room on the ground floor. When we asked to move, we were told there were no other rooms available (even though people who checked in after us were able to check into doubles without a problem). After the weekend, when there were clearly vacancies throughout the hotel, the manager asseverated that all the rooms are the same size. But they are not: I have stayed at this hotel before and the fire map clearly shows the room is not the same size as other rooms. We also saw other rooms that were being cleaned which were considerably larger. Further, the cold water came out warm to hot every evening and the heating did not adjust to the thermostat, resulting in a room that was over 75º. The door/window was sealed shut. The room also had a dirty carpet and only one towel was replaced when the room was serviced. The manager (Jeff Rosenbaum) was dishonest (outright lied to my face) and the staff obsequious but unhelpful. Typically when a guest who is staying five nights in the hotel with two guests expresses dissatisfaction with the accommodation, staff should offer to move the guest when availability allows. The staff at this location did not do that, and in fact lied about the size of the room.

Staff were very nice, location convenient to highway and to get to many DC area locations. Quite a few expensive add-ons; high daily fee for parking and an in an out parking lot system that was cumbersome; breakfast also expensive. Even to get a cup of coffee one had to do so through the restaurant. Otherwise a perfectly nice stay.

The lobby looks acceptable. The corridors and rooms are tired, dirty and in need of refurbishment. The room decor was modern but all the towels and bedding was marked and there were stains on the ceiling and walls. The noise was horrendous at all times of day. There was noise from the freeway, constant trains and low flying planes. This made it difficult to get to sleep. All members of staff were awful. They were not helpful. They were rude and slow. Check In was bad. Alan should not be checking in guests because he is clearly not capable of doing this. He give us wrong information. Overcharged us on the room deposit. No information on lounge or breakfast times. Just terrible. Carlos on check out was just as bad. Miserable. Not helpful. I even said my stay had been awful but it was ignored. We chose this hotel and upgraded our room for access to the M Club lounge. This was the worst M Club lounge I have experienced. The coffee machine was constantly out of order. And as for the light refreshments, all they had were bags of crisps. That’s it. We did complain about this and was told by Iris from the lounge to check out and find another hotel if we weren’t happy. We then spoke to 2 separate managers. We were told the GM would be in touch (which they never did). In summary I would never recommend or stay in this hotel again. I probably won’t stay at a Marriott hotel again.

I have never left a bad review on anything before, but this hotel pushed me to my absolute limit. I booked a suite for 3 nights. I arrived and checked in (paid at the property) and went to my room. I could immediately tell that this was not the suite that you would expect from the pictures, but I honestly didn't care. The room was old, big deal. I didn't expect the Ritz. Then I noticed the bed. There was a LARGE dirt stain right in the middle of the duvet cover. I went down to the front desk and showed them the picture of the stain. They said they could send someone to change the sheets but I said I didn't really trust that the rest of the room was cleaned properly so would just like a different room. They were out of suites, which I honestly couldn't care less about, so I took a King. I asked if I could be credited the rate difference between the two since I had already paid for the suite and I was told to reach out to the GM the following morning for assistance. All good. Again, I never asked for anything to be comp'd, just simply the correction in rate so I was only paying for the room type that I was staying in. The next morning I ordered room service, which took 1.5hrs and came in togo containers (which was surprising for a 4star hotel), but again whatever, I didn't care. However, when I opened the lid to my espresso there was what I will call a "body" hair. I send that image to the same number they asked me to send the image of the dirty bed to. I call downstairs to speak to the GM, ask instructed, and am sent to voicemail so I leave a message with my cell and explain why I was calling. I was very nice and said that I was fine with the king room and the bed was comfortable. All I was asking for was the rate correction (since I paid for the Suite), and to not be charged for my room service since I obviously wasn't going to drink that. The dirt on the bed at check in, the body hair in the coffee, the hair in the shower, the mildew smell, the management team (if you can even call them that), the fraudulent refusal to correct the rate so you are only paying for the room type that you stay in.

Unhappy to be charged for parking. Paid more for poolside room which had not opened . Oddly hallways on first floor had very low ceilings. If youre 6'4" or taller pick another floor. Rachel the receptionist was the freindliest and most helpful professional Ive run into for a long time.

At first, when we arrived to check-in, they were looking for the person who reserved the booking. Even though the reservation was also under my husband's name. This madenit inconvinient since we have to call his friend who booked the reservation just to check us in at the hotel. Inside the rooms, they were lacking basic stuff we need like slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. The door locks are also messed up. It took us almost an hour just to get inside the room bec the keycard was not working. During our stay, every night there were always buses blocking the driveway and entrance to the lobby which made it inconvinient for us since cars cannot pass through the entrance. All in all, i was not satisfied with my stay. Everything was complicated in this hotel, which was supposed to be a relaxing stay.

Great bed, shower, recently and beautifully redecorated. HUGE gym, and - come Memorial Day - a great outside pool to enjoy. My only beef is the $22/night parking fee. I think that's cheesy for a suburban hotel - yes, it's in a great location outside of DC, but the parking lot is huge - no scarcity of parking. So when you see the nightly rate, add $22 for parking!

I was on the top floor for an executive king room but the wall aligned with the elevators and that’s all you could hear the entire stay.

Once check in, I realized that my online request for a tub was not applied to my room reservation. An available room with a tub but not bed preference was found. The room was extremely cold, the bathtub that I wanted was stained and dingy, and the good in the restaurant was not good and made me sick

We continue to come back to this property not only for convenience but the service is excellent. Front desk, restaurant, etc. are all superior. The food offerings at the restaurant are also great. Some of the furnishings throughout the hotel are starting to show some extended wear and tear, is about the only negative comment I could have; nothing that would deter me from returning or recommending to others.

I generally stay at Hilton Embassy Suite Hotels, but was unable to secure a room for the Presidential Inauguration, and was able to book accommodations at what appeared to be a renowned Marriot. The room was small, faucets leaked, and furnishings could have been better. Customer Service nonexistent as I ordered delivered food, which sat at the reception area until it was cold, without arrival notification. The restaurant in the hotel had a very limited menu. Overall, I found the service austere for the price, and will never choose another Marriot stay.

On 1/15 door knob would not open we had to sit outside our rom over 2 hrs, and I have a rare bone disease. Very uncomfortable, they moved us to another room that was better. They stated they would credit us $45 and credit valet parking fees they did not credit all days.

I got a room with breakfast included. Then, I received a bill of $100 at the breakfast table. They told me that the breakfast was included only for two people and we are a family of 4. Nowhere was it mentioned that the breakfast was only for two. When I ask for clarification at the front desk, they dismiss my complaints quickly and not in a professional way. I've been very disappointed about that after all.

Was in a quiet area, however the charge $20 a day parking and didn’t let you know before we booked the room, let us know at check in…. Room was average, shower dripped and stains on lounge chair in room

the parking fee is sneaky and annoying. $20/day is crazy. just charge more for the hotel. would have stayed elsewhere

Property was convenient to beltway. easy parking although the EV charges were not working. Properly staffed, good dinning and hours to get food and a beverage were great.

Room was clean and comfortable.. just didn't like a machine sound all through the night.. didn't sleep well.
- 1/5
Extremely bad experience. Heater wasn't working in the room. They came to check it at 11:30 PM at night and then spent an hour working on it, at which point we had to choose to just sleep in the cold. It took ~30 minutes of using the bathroom for the water to finally start turning a little warm, and then it ended there.

I absolutely love the hotel! I worked there when it was the stirrup lounge in the 80s for five years and I ran into two staff members that were still there Ruben and Zorbin Who made my night so special when i arrived! However, expedia did not post that there was going to be construction on the parking lot and no water or air conditioning available during the whole day on Wednesday that we were planning to relax by the pool. there was no AC and we had to get ready for an event so I asked the front desk to give me a refund and let me leave the property because I could not take the heat and we didn’t have water the whole entire day ! So instead of offering free bottles of water and free parking since they were redoing the parking, they charged an extra $20 for parking and I had to go and buy big bottles of water and fans from CVS . Finally, i was able to get at least 1/2 of my money back after discussing this with two staff members at the front desk, who were not pleasant at all, and we’re not trying to assist and kept blaming the fact that I booked through a third-party! Too bad for me that I didn’t know prior to coming there that they were going to have these issues I’m not willing to pay $250 a night where I can’t use a pool, have water or air conditioning for an entire day, hot tar trucks all overThey should’ve offered a lot more to ease the pain I was going there to have a mini vacation away from my home and I couldn’t enjoy myself and the staff didn’t make it better.

We stay here as a family as it’s halfway to the beach - always a pleasant stay!

This was to make things easier for a surgery performed in the Kensington area on Tuesday (VERY early) and a follow-up appt, in NE DC the very next day. Our stay here provided for zero-to-none tension (traffic conditions, etc.) with two night's VERY comfortable overnight stays.

We were happy to discover that this Marriott is renovated in a great way! Beautiful comfortable room, all interactions with staff were good. Lovely outdoor pool. Great location. Dining kind of pricey, but convenient.
- 5/5
Quiet, comfortable and safe. Great people make a great hotel. Our server/attendant at the breakfast bar was a ray of sunshine. I wish I had gotten her name. She was simply lovely. The food was wonderful, too. The sweet front desk clerk even let us borrow a conference room for a little band warm up pre-show. We will go back here whenever we’re in the area. It was great.

It was a good overnight stay. The room could use an upgrade with furniture that actually fits the room. The bed was comfortable.

Nice customer service. Was able, to put me to another room after, I expressed to the from desk about bathroom not being clean.
- 4/5
Hotel was very clean need to consider placing handicap adaptable rooms closer to elevators
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and went over the top with service. The person in charge of directing the hospitality for the Cacna1a convention is the best. Thank you!
- 4/5
Always a nice stay here. All the staff from the front desk to the restaurant are very friendly. Gym is good, pool is nice. I think there could be the need for a little better quality control on the towels and deep cleaning. Nothing gross, just more wear and tear on some towels that should probably be taken out of circulation and a little more cross checking on dusting, etc.
- 4/5
The staff was excellent, however my room was a very warm even after maintenance came to look at the ac in my room.
- 3/5
On this stayhere my room appeared to be nice until i did my investigation and thats when i noticed lots of dust and hair in the room. It was as if the room had not been used in a long time. I did enjoy the shower and the bed was very comfortable. The young lady Shay that checked me in was great her service and care made the visit everything. The pool had what looked like spiders in it the pool should be cleaned better.
- 1/5
Then was given a different room but this time the room was dark, with ear bud, pills, toothpick, wrapper on the floor. Bed had not been made and looked used with bedding hanging down like a used bed. Towel in bathroom had stains. Table had not been cleaned either. Again took the luggage down and then given another room which was better lit and clean but the furniture holding the fridge and coffee machine was wobbly/and resting on the wall. Carpets in corridors looked unkept. Was told by receptionist that she will speak to the manager in the morning and see what they can do for my poor experience but no one contacted or did anything.
- 3/5
Slow customer service and dated.
- 5/5
Nice comfortable rooms, great pool area, exercise room, restaurant were nice. Parking costs a bit but not as much as other hotels in the area. Overall good value.
- 5/5
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, the room and the restaurant. Everyone on staff I encountered was a pleasure to speak to.
- 4/5
My check in and out were both smooth. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and coffee. The pool was great for a hot day. I wish there had been an attendant nearby to open the umbrella for my lounge chair. Staff were very positive and welcoming. I gave four instead of five stars because a tray from the ice machine fell on my foot when I picked my ice bucket up from getting ice. There were also some odd sounds at night. I’m not sure if it was the AC system or someone next door, but it was pretty loud and startled me. Overall I would consider returning.
