Decent price, deceiving pictures online.

I enjoyed being on the ground floor- but from 4:00am till 6:00 am I could hear the footsteps of people above my room. Not sure much could have been done about that but it did interrupt my sleep. I would stay here again.

It is a 4.5 overall. For the price though, it is a 5.0.

Overnight stop in Bend after a day at Smith Rock State Park. Was just looking for a reasonably priced place with a bed and a shower. Motel West did not disappoint. It’s close to downtown. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was great. If you’re not expecting the Ritz Carlton … you’ll be pleased.

Location is convenient and room itself was clean - however the overall property is pretty rundown. Our tv didn't work properly and the "amenities" were sparse. But it was one of the cheapest rooms we could find at the time, as we were there for just one night & just needed a clean place to sleep - so you get what you pay for.

I have very low standard for hotels with only two requirements, warm/hot water and no bedbugs. This property met both of these requirements and more. The office/check-in folks were very friendly and answered all my questions. There did seem to be some work being done on the property such as repairs/upgrades, so it appears the owners are working towards improvements. The room I received was large and accommodating. I was only there for one night but the room had a stove and fridge, so longer stays would be feasible at this location. Definitely a good deal for the pricing!

Great location: a nice walk to downtown, though there's a Safeway down the block and restaurants, and a Starbucks, nearby. The bed was super comfy. This room actually had a bathtub, with hot water, which was nice, though not all rooms have one. The neighborhood has cleaned up since last time I stayed, not that it was all bad. Not that I've stayed at the other cheap hotels on this street, but this one has the best location and has always been good. I've stayed here multiple times. One night the guy next door was cranking his tv early in the evening, but he turned it off soon, I think because he had to actually work in the morning. This place gets worker types who are in town temporarily, as well as tourists. Really, that's it, this is a good place.

Site listed a tub, and no tub was present. We were too tired to try to get a different room, but it was definitely a disappointment.

This is a perfect motel for someone wanting to save money and get a a just fine and clean lodging experience. Simple, sufficient and clean.

There was very loud base music coming from somewhere. We heard others complaining in the hallway and someone mentioned they thought there was a club nearby. It made it difficult to sleep. There should be a noise ordinance in Bend. Otherwise the place was great.

Not fancy but very comfortable and sooooo clean! This was definitely one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in. Parking was easy, staff very pleasant, and the room was quiet. Definitely "old school" – paper registration and an actual room key. It was kind of nice to go low tech. I would definitely stay here again!

The housekeepers were fantastic and received a deserved tip. The parking does not have room for a truck. The host required a $50 deposit. I had to dispute the deposit charge and ask my bank to get a refund because the multiple hosts made failed promises of a refund, which never was completed. I will not return to the West Motel in Bend.

If you want to feel like you might be being watched but definitely monitored, stay in that room. They’ll make intentional sounds that’ll sound like someone is behind the fridge in the kitchenette. It’s creepy as hell and does not honor any reasonable expectation of privacy so I made it a point to make it just as bad of an experience for them. I stayed up all night and made it extra weird for these control freaks. I’d stay there again just to look these people in the face and challenge them to put me above them again or to make me feel like my privacy was breached again.

First off like I stated before we payed 258 for the 4th thru the 8th then 58 for the 8th to the 9th the upstairs people was loud and we didn’t sleep at all my girlfriend complained and the manager asked her to go up and talk to the people so she did it was 1230 at night the 3 guys surrounded her outside when she asked if they could keep it down Becuse we have a five year old sleeping they cornered her and threatened and called her names and scared her she came downstairs in tears I did not know she was derected by the manager to go up thire the manager put her in a really unsafe situation and we contacted Expedia the next day wanting to cancel the rest of are stay to go to a safer motel Expedia contacted the motel manager and all they did for us is move us to another room and guess what they moved us directly next door from the 3 guys who threatened and surrounded my girlfraind this situation is so in excusable and could have ended badly for us the whole time we got no sleep and had to deal with stress we will never go back again

My only wish is that they could accommodate my dog.

The refrigerator in room didn't keep beverages cold, complimentary hair dryer didn't work. Lady in the office didn't speak English well so it was hard to understand her. The bed was comfortable and clean ,an had lots of hot water

The motel offers very reasonable rates, has a very walkable location, convenient parking, highly professional staff, and is very comfortable. This is my default motel when I am staying in Bend.

Motel West was a great "cheap and cheerful" option for my 2-night stay in Bend. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. It was centrally located, so that I could get around just by walking. The food trucks nearby were an added bonus.

I stayed 8 nights at Motel West during some work related activities that kept me away from my room the majority of the day. All I needed was a good clean comfortable bed, warm room, dependable shower, nominal maid service and a great location during my stay. This fit my needs and was very inexpensive.

We chose this motel largely because it was one of the better deals available and because Expedia indicated that breakfast was included. Unfortunately, when we went to breakfast on the first morning, we were told that no breakfast was offered and that it never has been. This was frustrating, as the included breakfast was one of the main reasons we booked here, and it meant we had to pay for breakfast for two people over three days unexpectedly. Another downside was the lack of soundproofing. The walls are quite thin, and guests below us had their TV volume very loud on two separate nights, which made it difficult to sleep. Overall, a decent option for the price, but the breakfast listing and noise issues were disappointing.

I had a service dog and was charged $50. Expedia clearly states on their site that there was no charge for a service animal at this motel. It also advertised there was a kitchen. There was no kitchen. It also advertised it was 250 sq ft. Not even close. My dog kept trying to get under the bed. I looked underneath and it was disgusting. Food, wrappers, debris, it was gross. There were people hanging out outside our door at 2am. One person knocked on it and I ran him off. There were several other people that knocked on the wrong door (ours). Don't skimp on your hotel/motel stays. It's not worth it. And absolutely do not stay here. It's vile.

The lady at check in and out was nice, the the motel needs a serious upgrade, the TV didn’t work, very outdated carpet and bedding, the guys a few doors down I’m pretty sure lives there and was selling used sneakers out of his room, the area doesn’t seem safe, people hollering all night and banging on a dumpster. On a positive note, the heater worked and it was close to the downtown shopping/dining area.

Clean, comfortable place to stay. For those who have complained about the decor or fit and finish, let's be clear. It's an older, privately managed hotel, and while it's not the Ritz-Carlton, it is a decent place to stay on a budget. If you're looking for a five star hotel, this isn't it, but if you're looking for an inexpensive, clean, mom and pop hotel, this is just fine.

Affordable hotel conveniently located near downtown Bend. The room was very spacious, comfortable, & had a full size refrigerator. Check-in & check-out were simple. Free parking & free wifi are nice benefits. I would stay here again.

The room was tiny, the bathroom door was almost impossible, one of the outlets didn’t have a cover, the hairdryer didn’t work. The linens looked clean but pillows were flat and bed uncomfortable. The curtains and bedspread were mix- matched. Not what you would expect from the pictures that were on your website!

It seemed to be safe and well lit in the area around the motel! Maybe a little dingy and run down in area surrounding the motel!

The motel room was clean and tidy. Unfortunately there was no internet access via the motel. When I inquired, the person at the front desk just said it needs to be fixed. Who knows how long this has been going on here. Oh well, just hooked up my MacBook to my Hotspot on my iPhone.

The internet was spotty at best as was the television -- sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't and reception was fuzzy. Rated good for the price and the basics of bed and shower.

A cheap motel, but it was clean and nothing was broken. Everything functioned with no problems. Furnishings, shower curtains, draperies, and linen were cheap, but fresh and clean. Very nice for the price range. Better than I expected. Area of town can't be helped. It isn't unsafe, but there is currently a homeless crisis going on in the area. I gave the ratings I did because there was minimal staff and amenities, but the staff that I dealt with were kind, courteous, and helpful. The amenities were only necessities, but they were there and fresh. As I said, better than I was expecting for the price range.

Everything about the property was great! It was comfortable, clean, and the bed and bedding were super comfy!! The covers were very appropriate for summer instead of being stuck with only a 2" thick comforter when it's hot outside!! We loved it!

Easy stop to enjoy Bend and the breweries on the river

Plenty of things were fine. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were newer. The fridge worked well. The location is good. We weren’t disturbed by other guests. The beds weren’t as bad as they could have been but I certainly wouldn’t call them comfortable. The Motel West has a distinct scent, and it’s not pleasant. The internet worked for the first four hours of our stay, and then not again at all. I called the front desk who would tell me it would be fixed tomorrow, and hang up on me. Half of the outlets in the room did not work, which was sucky for us because we were staying after camping for about a week, and had some stuff we wanted to charge up, but we couldn’t even keep our phones charged. I had to charge power banks on the one working outlet while we were out for the day so that at night one of us could use the working outlet and the other would use the power bank. The AC worked, but not well. It was probably 10° warmer in the room than the unit said. We heard staff yelling at other guests for things like… using the ice machine, and asking for help when the vending machine ate their money. I’d probably try Cascade across the street before returning here.

No matter what is advertised, they DO NOT have internet. If you need a pillow, bring one. Their pillows are the worst ever. Linens were very worn. I don’t even want to know the last time the comforter was washed, it was very old. The hotel was relatively clean. It was very old, dark and outdated. The couch and recliner were very old, worn, and dated. Room was very dark. Great shower pressure. Our AC did not work properly. They offered to come look at it but at this point, we did not want anyone in our room when we were not going to be there. Would not come back.

It's a motel, room was ok. Shower and bathroom was small but at least great water pressure in the shower. I wouldn't take my gf here as she wouldn't care for it. It's ok for sleeping. Area wasn't bad and I did Uber late at night with no problems.

The pizza nearby was not to my liking . They deliver to the hotel and highly recommended. I’m from Chicago (pizza lover ) the pizza was like cardboard with little sauce , little meat and cheesy garlic pizza was just as bad .. would not recommend , plus they screwed up my order which they quickly made right .

This motel has all the 2-star necessities including musty smoking smell, dirty moist carpet and actual hard keys plus triple-bite marks if you can believe it. The carpet is so filthy that we were leaving black footprints in the bathroom. Yuck. It was very expensive for the experience we received. You should stay somewhere cheaper or somewhere better, but don't stay here.

I have been staying at this family-run hotel for several years. Its a quiet, clean, and centrally located facility with no frills. Since I don't usually spend a lot of time in the room, it's a good value for my money.

Look for something that didn’t cost an arm and a leg in Bend OR. Motel West fit the bill. Place is older, but clean had the basic needed for a single night. Couple of my negatives, I could read my hand written receipt to verify the rate was the same as the booking rate. My room was tucked in the corner, and I could not get the Wi-Fi to connect. They had two options for Wi-Fi. One password didn’t work and second just never connected. Overall 3 out of 5

There were a lot of little remodel areas but it contrasted with the older look of some of the things. And they left some old in the new areas. The curtains and some of the wall decorations were beautiful. Check in was very smooth and they seem like real nice people.

This hotel honestly was awful due to many thing for beginners they charged me twice and then the staff there was rude I couldn’t understand a word they were saying and when checkout came they didn’t even give me a warning they just straight out kicked me out and didn’t even give me time to gather all my things so I’d think twice about coming here the price isn’t even worth it !

Super nice night manager, I had to work late and got there as soon as I could but she stayed up so I could do a late check in. I was so cold and tired and couldn't get the door open with the given key, but she came over and helped me. We were able to park our truck and trailer, which I wasn't expecting. Perfectly fine hotel for a quick overnight stay.

Showing its age, the sink faucet only put out hot water from either tap. My wife wasn't happy with the cleanliness but the bed was firm and comfy.

Now if she would have helped me the next day when i tried to ask again for help bit she just looked at me. Didnt say a word, walked off. Like I was invisible
