We loved the property! Our room in the Art building was roomy and comfortable. It was easy to walk to local dining and drinking establishments, but could have easily just hung out on property. The bar/restaurant had great beverage options and we enjoyed an appetizer during happy hour.

Simply an awesome experience. McMenamin’s is so unique all these little small bars and experiences. The drinks are great. The beer is great restaurant great went to the little movie theater so fun sitting in a two seat. Even had great popcorn. Didn’t sit in the Greek soaking tub but visited it was gorgeous. Of course, found the small room stick bar. Adorable looked for secret rooms. Cute little patios. The room itself is so centrally located walking around Bend was a breeze. The room had a comfortable big bed big comfy chair and was just so McMenamin’s. Only bad thing I can say is there is no water station to fill a water bottle and you have to go into the main restaurant to get water. That would be my only feedback.

Everything felt very welcoming. Staff were helpful, rooms were spacious, and plenty of amenities on site. Lots of stamps available throughout this location for your McMenamins Passport!

Loved the breakfast delivered to room. Historic, cute, entertaining, nice staff, downtown location, lots of interesting little venues and specialty bars. Didn’t like their beer.

Sweet and welcoming. Nice to sit outside near the fire and enjoy a beer, then head out in the morning and have coffee outside. Surprisingly quiet considering it’s in the heart of Bend. You can walk to everything from the Wednesday farmers market, to bakeries, coffee shops, shopping and Ken’s pizza. Just charming.

The rooms were clean and comfortable; the entire complex was well maintained with lots of open air areas. The neighborhood was interesting with many and varied facilities including the old Tower Theater.

We had a fantastic time. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our drinks and food were delicious, and the property is a lot of fun to explore.
- 5/5
Very funky and fun. Hot spa is so small as to be essentially unusable based on size of hotel. Not a problem for us since we like to be in downtown Bend and enjoyed the movie theatre and restaurants.;

Very pleasantly surprised! So fun and funky in a good way. Loved all the attention to detail and plentiful bars and food options. We will definitely be back!

This was the coolest place I’ve stayed at in a long while. The grounds are fabulous. Rooms very comfortable with fresh coffee in the hallways in the morning. The restaurants are great and the bars so fun! I can’t say enough about this place. I will be back. Very unique experience.

We liked the location, the staff, and the varied historic facilities on the property. It is a compound! We stayed across the parking lot from the main building in the Ed House. Terrific room, comfortable bed, and decor reminiscent of the era it represents--there are surprises throughout the property! Easy walk to restaurants, breweries, cafes and the river. We regret that we only stayed one night and could not absorb all the great offerings of McMeneman's!

Our room was nice and cozy. Love all the unique art throughout the halls. Was hoping the coffee bar would have had more than one regular coffee option.

Great stay! Clean, friendly staff, and cool vibe.
- 5/5
Everything was great.I can't wait to come back.
- 5/5
The staff was amazingly friendly; the ambiance warm, curious and inviting; the room clean and spacious; the bed super comfy; the location in town ideal. I do not eat at McMenamins due to my dietary needs & quality preferences, so I cannot comment on food or bevs. Also, we didn't swim in the pool, though I've always wanted to. Loved our visit and can't wait to return.
- 3/5
Old TV. Wi fi didn’t work.
- 3/5
Your hotel price is the same as other 4 star hotels. Your toilet paper, tissue paper, raggy towels, and robes were 2 star level. We had a good experience several years ago at this location. We'll likely not return, based on this recent experience.
- 5/5
Love it here. So unique. Clean and homey. Employees were great. So much to do.
- 4/5
It’s centered downtown so much to see and do close by. Parking is a bit of an issue. Drove around 10 minutes until a spot opened up.
- 5/5
I loved everything about this place.
- 4/5
Rooms were comfortable but could be updated. Staff were very friendly. Enjoyed being in the downtown area and close to restaurants and bars.
- 5/5
Fun quirky place! Clean and safe, walkable to many areas, has restaurant, bars, outdoor seating area, a movie theater, history & artwork, a beautiful soaking pool.

I loved this hotel and will always stay there when in the area.

The property has three or more outside sitting areas for food or drinks. Very quaint. A little eerie if you were taught by nuns!
- 5/5
we loved this place. They had the friendliest and most helpful staff. The room was perfect....roomy, great bed, nice bathroom and great shower. We found plenty to do including playing table games in the Fireside pub. The food was delish and well presented. We also finally made Tripsters on this stay and look forward to spending many more nights at McMenamins properties!!
- 4/5
Walking distance to everything in Bend. And the soaking tub.

This is a unique place to stay. We did not have time to take advantage of all of the amenities, but I imagine it would be a very fun place if we had the time.

The spa pool was so relaxing, was able to enjoy a drink and the snow. The building are well kept and beautiful. Staff is friendly and many things to do onsite and off.

Cost. Miscommunication lead to asking more questions about the holding fees plus anything additional to the stay. Overall im quite surprised because we have been here previously. We love this hotel and the ambiance. Better luck next time I guess !!!!!!
- 5/5
Loved this place. It was fun to explore and hang out in the various spots on the property. I would certainly stay there again!
- 5/5
Great location, loved the free coffee in the morning and fun atmosphere!
- 5/5
Stopped for overnighter on our way to the Oregon Coast. It was fun to search out the hidden rooms and relax in the soaking pool. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
- 4/5
A little older, and there was some mold in the grout in the shower, but generally clean
- 5/5
This is located in downtown Bend and this property is beautiful. Every wall, roof, cabinet, bed head post lamp, bulb, etc was thoughtfully and artfully curated and selected. Beautiful and special place. Loved it.
- 5/5
This was such a delight on the end of a trip. Hidden rooms and speakeasies, the amazing soaking pool and cute rooms
- 5/5
Good location. Parking seems insufficient for the number of rooms. Circling the lot is sometimes necessary. Perhaps best to walk to dinner. Shower is small but great! Enjoyed reading about the Sister-Teacher in our room. Unique experience.
- 5/5
This place is beyond wonderful and impossible to put into words. Well, maybe magical. Everyone, the staff and the guests, was friendly. As one walks through the gardens and buildings there are surprises to discover. The food and drinks offered at all the different options was great. We are planning a vacation just to visit some of their locations.
- 5/5
Absolutely LOVED this hotel and all it had to offer from the bars, restaurants, live music, hot tub, speakeasy, walkable to downtown! Will def be back!
- 5/5
Great Location and Beautiful Accommodations
- 5/5
It’s not for everyone, but it is really great if it is for you. If you like music, meeting people, a really different place, good food (except the Hawaii dish), woodsy design. I’d definitely stay here with a girlfriend or with friends, nice vibe.
- 5/5
Hard to please. This hotel offers a cross of “Timberline Lodge” and whimsical McMenamins to a T! Walking distance to the best of Bend! Old Bend is a mirage in Eastern Oregon! The soaking pool an oasis and a lovely surprise. Food and beverage on site is first class. I’m a super fan! Cheers!!!!

- 5/5
Fun experiential and unique hotel with an eclectic vibe. Bars and nooks tucked in. Cute soaking pool, theater, restaurant, etc.
- 5/5
We had stayed at the property on our way out of town and had such a good time we decided to book it again on our way home after our long road trip. Such a treat to arrive. Our room was better than the first stay and we even had a small peak view of the mountains. Love this place.
- 5/5
This was our first time staying at this chain and I have to admit we had fun. The room was cozy and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the room had lots of natural light. There were fun activities to entertain us on the property. We enjoyed the cigar and whisky bar and the speak easy.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful property
- 5/5
Good service and accommodations
- 5/5
Awesome view to courtyard from my room. Easy access to my choice of 4 or 5 bars and walkable to downtown.
- 5/5
Great place! Very impressive!
- 4/5
We always enjoy staying at the various McMenimens. We especially enjoyed seeking and finding their Speak Easy hidden bar. Their restaurant prices are too high for the value received. Everything else was great.
- 5/5
Loved the soaking pool. Great experience.
- 5/5
This place is super interesting! The wide variety of things to do, the different pubs and restaurants. The Turkish bath, and the rooms. It’s all just cool! I can’t wait to go back and spend a longer visit! This place has some great history!

Awesome experience at the unique atmosphere
- 4/5
Interesting place. This was a residential catholic school that has been converted to a hotel. Surpringly comfortable but definitely quirky
- 5/5
Room was excellent and fantastic shower. Granola breakfast in restaurant was amazing. Will stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved the character of the place. Few hotels have such. Staff was great too!
- 5/5
Only drawback is the parking, no spaces at the hotel.
- 5/5
Fun, cool, quirky little place to spend the night!
- 5/5
Friendly and welcoming . Very charming hotel and restaurants.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Always a cool place to stay in Bend!
- 5/5
Wonderful and unique place to stay!
- 3/5
The staff were rude. Not just one but all of them. The bed in the room was old and not comfortable for the price of the room.
- 5/5
Old buildings that are cared for. Friendly staff and guests. Really cool place!
- 5/5
McMenamins properties are always a great experience! When we were given the room right off the lobby, we were concerned about noise. THERE WAS NO NOISE! We had a great nights sleep. We enjoyed all the amenities, hidden rooms, Broom Closet Bar, theater, and we enjoyed great food for dinner and breakfast. Don’t forget your suit for the soaking pool! We had a perfect night away from home,
- 5/5
Hey, it's McMenamins. A great place to stay and always good food and drink with some of the friendliest staff in the business.
- 5/5
What an unexpected pleasure it was when my husband and I decided to stay here during a business trip. Everything about this place was amazing. From the staff, the food, the ambiance, and the adventures on this property. This place is a must see.
- 5/5
Not enough parking
- 5/5
Amazing place. A must stay.
- 1/5
Completely unsatisfied! This is a place to get drunk and bed proximity so no need to drive!
- 5/5
What a beautiful place! And the staff was awesome on all counts. The courtyard was lovely and quaint. Food was delicious. The bar/restaurant was so comfortable. We can’t say enough about it. Would go again in a heartbeat.
- 5/5
nice
- 5/5
Great staff.
- 5/5
This place is well worth the price. The most unique hotel I've ever stayed at. The salt water soaking pool and amazing "lovely Cadillac margaritas" will have me and my family coming back for a nice little vacation, and my family includes our sweet giant doggo
- 5/5
This hotel definitely has a bohemian, artsy vibe. I enjoyed looking at the art in the hallways and finding the quiet nooks in our building. The hotel is split up into multiple buildings. Our room was a standard room with a king bed. It was very comfortable and really clean. My only "complaint" would be that you are literally living out of a suitcase, which my husband was okay with. I like to unpack and put things in drawers. The room only had a very small armoire, maybe 2 1/2 foot wide, that was being used to store a fan, heater, and an extra blanket. Parking was a hassle coming back in the evenings because the lot is also used for the restaurant patrons. Overall, it's a perfect location for walking to all of the breweries, coffee shops, and old town shops. It was also very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Amazing time staying at this most wonderful location. Even in spite of COVID guidelines they made the stay as wonderful and authentic to a McMennamins stay as you could hope for. Enjoyed great food, a nice cigar and whiskey and even soaking socially distanced in the soaking pool. First time visiting this location. Will be back!
- 5/5
Such a fun and unique place to stay! We loved every inch of the decor!
- 4/5
Cute place, comfortable enough room. It’s a good place for mini break with a friend or partner. The food is typical McMenamins foods, but the room serviceCould be improved. Both times the drinks spilled and got the napkins and everything else sopping wet. Other hotels use these little paper lids, which is something they should think about getting too. And I had to wonder about their kitchen conditions. I got a whole container of scooped butter breakfast, but the butter had a little bit of read some thing on it. It looks like somebody reused utensils that have been also used for jam. It was offputting. Staff were professional, but could be warmer. And, I’m not sure why doors were marked accessible when there were no accessibility buttons. Somebody with a wheelchair would have a hard time.
- 5/5
Everything about his hotel is great. The staff are very friendly, the decor is cool, the rooms are spacious, there is a pool, theater, and bar/restaurants on the grounds, you could stay at the hotel for an entire trip and still have fun. Super close to other bars, restaurants, and shops and only a 35ish minute drive to Bachelor
- 5/5
Friendly staff and a unique hotel. It’s great having the multiple restaurants available for outdoor dining and room service
- 5/5
Great service especially at the front desk
- 4/5
Pros: Great customer service - the check in and check out process are streamlined. We didn’t spend much time waiting at the front desk. Great food - one of the perks booking rooms at a hotel that also operates restaurant is having great food. We ordered breakfast twice and dinner once at the hotel. The food was really good. I recommend the field trip tofu scramble. They decorated the hall way in their own style. It is pretty but I am not so sure about the levitating nun painting in our room. Cons: Shower water wasn’t hot or consistently hot. This occurred to both my boyfriend and me. I felt so cold in the shower due to the not warm enough water and the fan. There is no way to turn off the ventilation fan in bathroom since it works with the lights together. The water was not warm enough and made me stand there for a really long time to warm myself up. My boyfriend took a shower after me and he came out shivering. There is no room cleaning service due to COVID. I guess this makes sense for safety season but it caused inconvenience since we spent 3 nights and had to take the trash out everyday. Also due to covid, some facilities shut down, including the soaking pool. I believe our experience with this hotel would be better after this special period pass.
- 5/5
Each property has its own unique charm. Every room is disigned differently. Aleays a treat to stay!
- 5/5
Eclectic fun out of the ordinary stay. Great location. Great staff
- 5/5
We love do
- 5/5
I appreciated their commitment to Covid precautions. I was able to vacation and still feel safe.
- 3/5
Room service was not advertised which I thought was odd being a McMenamins. The AC didn’t work very well either. It would go on and off and failed to cool the room to the set temperature. The bed was comfy enough, but not amazing. They are pet friendly, so that was a plus.
- 3/5
I love this hotel. It has such a fun atmosphere. Outdoor fire pits next to a cool tavern. It’s fun place to get a drink and smoke a cigar. The room we got wasn't great though. Had a water pipe in the wall that made loud noises periodically all night. But again the hotel overall is great!
- 4/5
Comfortable room and very clean.
