The overall experience at this hotel was very good! The bed was a little hard for my liking and the paint was peeling in the bathroom! Other then that the room was very nice and very clean!

the refrigerator kind of had a moldy smell about it. I only kept bottled water that had never been opened in it. I wouldn't put something that is not tightly sealed in there.

Manager was very friendly and helpful, even after I messed up the reservation. Train station is a short walk away, as are McDonalds and several of service spots.

This property is a motel. No amenities or frills, and the price shows it. If you only want a place to sleep, this is perfect. If you want to spend time hanging around the room or property, keep looking.

There is a "coffee room" that is a little light on amenities. Offering a Keurig machine is nice, but having milk or half and half would be a great addition for not much cost. I find powdered creamer oily and disgusting.

Good location directly on the main road, a 5 minute walk from the Belmont train station. The room was clean and everything worked. The staff let me check in early. Great value for money in an expensive area.

Friendly! Excellent staff. Hella nice. Really liked all the things that had to do with my stay there. Had zero issues when changing room from the one I booked. Was happy with distance to Safeway. I just walked there.

I loved this small boutique budget motel being in a perfect location right by the Caltrain and Samtrans. A little noisy when the trains went by. Nice and quiet at night. Good short walk to Mcdonald's and Dollar Tree. Nothing wrong at all.

Good location and comfortable bed. Good value however customer service is lacking. Very small staff, sometimes unavailable. My room had cobwebs on the ceiling and a repaired hole in the wall that was not painted, it was just repaired with stucco. Lobby was closed the majority of the time. You have to ring a bell for the attendant to come open it. Sometimes there is not one there are they list a number that you should call if you need help.

N/A Reviews said the property was renovated and updated but that must have many years ago. The front desk person who checked me said he was giving me an upgrade but my room was extremely basic and the furniture has definitely seen better days. The brown carpet was a turn off too. I don’t understand why hotels put carpet in the rooms; the yuk factor is always a turn off. The street noise was also unpleasant but not sure they could do anything about that unless they improved soundproofing.

Spacious, clean room, with great location to visit SF and even discover Silicon valley. The checkin was smooth, there are a lot of possibilities to eat, drink or shop nearby. Can't think of anything now.

Nice little spot just a short walk from the Belmont Caltrain station. The room is a little small, but spotless. Thought it would’ve been a little noisy being so close to El Camino Real, but I slept fine. Comfy bed, plenty of pillows, WiFi, and a hot shower. I would definitely stay there again.

The bed was comfortable, it was quiet and convenient location for what we needed. Towels and sheets dingy, desk chair extremely worn, pillows lumpy, but overall room appeared clean. Price is reasonable.

Convenient for airport. The owner was very helpful. Not cleaned properly from last people , hair clip, ladies sanitary products left ( unused) tooth pick also left.

The office staff was very nice and accommodating. It's a no frills place so you're not getting much, but the bed was comfortable and they have basic amenities: a fridge, water and hot water. And although the street outside is loud, with a sound machine, I slept just fine even though I'm very sensitive to noise. I didn't hear a single neighbor throughout my stay. There were some food crumps on the floor of my room, indicating that the place was not properly cleaned. Silicon Valley Inn can do better with cleaning.

It was very loud. My room was right on the street and the train is right across the street. If I need to go down again, I might stay there if they had a room in the back of the property. WiFi was not so great. But the room was inexpensive and clean and the staff friendly.

The hotel does not have any bar/restaurant / laundry facilities although these can all be found within 10-20 minute walk. Fast food, American dinner and coin op laundry. The hotel plan is based on a terrace format and 2 storey layout there is no lift! I had Room 104, a self contained home from home. Every facet was clean and comfortable. Be aware because being a quiet area at certain times of day the railway/US101 noise can be heard. The manager/staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely will stay again.

We chose this hotel for its location and price. It was clean and the wifi worked, but you had to go through the log on process repeatedly. At check in, Sanjay was nice enough, but the office was not usually staffed. There is no lobby and no maid service. The TV offered no movies or anything you would want to watch. It's just a place to sleep.

I had a great stay. Here for work but could see how this could be a great spot for seeing the San Francisco Bay Area. Shopping, great restaurants, a Safeway, and the train are nearby. An older, simple hotel/motel they have worked hard to make sure the rooms are clean and update. My bed was comfortable and had nice linens. And parking was free. I thought it was a great deal and will return again.

My room at SVI was very clean and the staff was very friendly at check in. I was only there gor one night but would stay there again. Very reasonable.

A pleasant enough stay, but the sliding door to the bathroom was loose. The TV was a bit odd which required me to get assistance from the staff

It was just one night. But easy, friendly and clean. No frills though. It has been there a long time and had the wear & tear to prove it...but I would refer to it as a "patina" finish rather that run down. I would recommend it for the not so fussy.

Check in was thru bullet proof glass. But everything else was beyond perfect. Breakfast was a quick walk. Very close to Hillsdale Mall. Very comfortable.

The property is well-maintained. The staff was friendly. They clearly keep the rooms in good condition, including (apparently) renovating the bathrooms. It's a modest motel that offers excellent value.

You truly get what you pay for. Make sure when you are booking the hotel that you can check in by 11 PM. We had not realized that (so that was our fault for not checking the fine details). We were planning on doing a last minute stop somewhere but thankfully had called the hotel in advance to learn about the check in deadline. The rooms itself was dirty. We joked thought it looked like a Place where a serial killer would go. Shortly after we did in fact see blood on the shower curtain. Absolutely disgusting. The TV that we had in our room did not work. It would turn on but could not connect to the Cable. We’re thankful that we only stayed there one night.

The room was very nice and location was convenient between San Jose and San Francisco. We were offered and accepted an upgrade for minimal fee. My daughter and granddaughter were in the room and we were in our RV van and unable to park in the parking lot because it was so unlevel and steep. We just wanted to park on the street (22' camper van--very discreet) but the office person made us feel so uncomfortable we decided to find another area to just park over night. He also seemed very suspicious of our motives--like all four of us were going to try to fit in the room.

The room was very nice and location was convenient between San Jose and San Francisco. We were offered and accepted an upgrade for minimal fee. The host at the desk was amazingly friendly! He made for a great experience after our terrible experience with our rental car! He checked in on us through out our stay and made sure everything was going well for us!

I liked walk in shower instead of tub. However better parking could be provided. Spaces too small
