Air conditioner was very noisy and the room upstairs you could hear everyone walking around!
-
It was great. There is a city shuttle service right outside the hotel that went right to the ballpark.

Woman that served breakfast was really nice

The beds were really uncomfortable and my back still hurts.

We picked this hotel thinking it looked like it was in a quiet area with a poolThe air conditioner in the room was terrible. It smelled horrible!! It was the strongest musty smell ever! I thought after it ran awhile it would get better. But as soon. As just the fan kicks son it was just as bad, if not worse. I told the desk and they offered to give me a spray, “Odoban” to try. By the way she offered it, I could tell she must get that a lot. So I asked if all the rooms were like that. She said yes and that’s what everyone complains about. So I tried the spray. She receptionist was nice about it. I could just tell it was something she couldn’t really do anything about. We ended up just having to turn the A/C off for the rest of the day/ night and it got so stuffy and hot in the room. But I’m telling you, the smell is so bad and strong, we couldn’t take it and either could out two little kids. The receptionist gave a great recommendation for dinner was great. The pool was awful. It is so run down and the concrete is crumbling all over and the water wasn’t the cleanest. The doors and walls are pretty thin and it lets in a lot of noise and light. The doors on the outside look like they had water damage? The whole hotel honestly needs upgrades for the price they change. It doesn’t feel the cleanest, they did look they they updated fixtures. But that’s about it. Breakfast was okay. The lady was so nice and helpful. So all in all. People were good. The hotel, Not so much.

Room was clean, air worked great, staff was friendly

The bedroom was a corner room and super spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out. The hotel was clean and tidy and staff were accommodating. Breakfast was superb and the morning staff were friendly and helpful. The only item we had an issue with was the cold swimming pool. I had hoped it was heated but it wasn't and we only stayed in it for about 30 minutes. Other than that, great experience and super close to the Newport Aquarium.

Breakfast was one of best varieties that I have had.Sandy was great with constantly cleaning and refilling. Could have better water pressure, but not the worst.

Front desk was very helpful. Breakfast worker was a little irritated. Like she did not want to clean up after people. Price on popcorn was way over priced. And the microwave in our room burnt the popcorn and the plate doesn’t fit in the microwave. There was no play dry bags in our room but the house keeper worker was very friendly and helped us after she found someone who spoke English. I would stay here again.

We had an amazing stay here while in Cincinnati. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfy. Close to ballpark and zoo while staying there. Had a great view of the river and bridge. It’s nice to stay driving distance to all activities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome with a great selection each morning. We highly recommend for a stay while visiting Cincinnati!

Cons: The hotel is not new and this is apparent when looking at things like chipped paint and worn carpeting. There were a lot of air fresheners which did not cover up the overall mustiness of the place. The pool was so heavily chlorinated that I had to limit the time my kids spent swimming. Breakfast was adequate but not something I was excited to eat. Overall, an acceptable stay without any terrible complaints however it was expensive for an old musty hotel especially with other options so close by.

I loved being right by a Big Boys and how nice the rooms were. It was a little messy, but not too bad.

The beds were comfortable We tried to check in at 3 and our room was not ready. They asked that we come back in a half hour. We came back in an hour and it still was not ready. We sat in the lobby until almost 7 pm waiting for a room. We wasted multiple hours of our trip waiting to get checked in to the hotel. There were food stains on the couch cushion and no sheets, pillows or blankets were provided for the pull out bed. We had to track down housekeeping to get some. The pool area was shabby and un-kept either paint was peeling off the pool or it was dirty. The chlorine was so strong it burnt our nose, eyes and throat just being in the room. My granddaughter wanted to swim anyway and ended up throwing up once and getting a headache. I think it was from the strong smell of the chlorine because I ended up with a headache also due to the strong smell. The next morning they were doing well keeping the food filled for breakfast but nobody was cleaning off the tables. We waited quite awhile and I cleaned one off with a napkin myself. Later when talking to an employee they stated the are hiring and can't get anyone to apply. They are very short staffed. Holiday inn should know that this is how their hotels get run down quickly. They need a full staff to keep up on cleaning and basic maintenance.
