Cozy, clean, well maintained. Staff was great, and the beach view spectacular. An easy place to stay!

Amazing location. The staff and the signs all over the property are kinda hostile. I didn’t feel welcome. The place has not been renovated in decades. The AC worked fine. The in-unit kitchen was basic but helpful. I will evaluate other options before booking again here.

Clean

1. No clock so I had to pick up my cell phone every time I wanted to know what time it was. 2. No phone to call the front desk when I needed something. 3. No hair dryer. Every day I had to get one from the front desk and was instructed to "return it as soon as you're done with it" since they only had 3. 4. They won't clean your room until you've been there for 4 days. While we were checking out, I had a chat with another visitor in the lobby who said she's stayed here every year for over 30 years, except for last year when it wasn't available due to damage from a hurricane. The rooms always had the usual amenities including hair dryers. Apparently it changed owners and things went downhill so she will not be returning.

Also, I am pretty sure I booked an ocean view room, can’t say for sure because the details disappeared from my details, but they couldn’t give me a room further from the ocean. I was actually next to the parking lot. That is really the least of my worries as of now. Dirty, non responsive. I don’t get the relatively “good rating” this property has.

I'm a repeat guest. I love the fact that it is right on the beach. The rooms are good sized and well maintained.

The ability to walk to the beach was amazing. Seeing the Gulf from my room was great. It’s an extremely expensive place but that’s like most places now. And you can only have one car. Overall, very good.

The location is a quiet relaxed atmosphere. I like the Old Florida small business ambience. My beachfront 2nd story room was clean, quiet, well stocked kitchen cookware. No smoking atmosphere, except out at the beach or a corner in the parking lot. Bring your own bathroom items, except toilet paper and towels. The beds and pillows are very firm which was not my favorite but I made it work with the extra puffy duvet. Beware of aggressive birds, if you sit out on balcony to eat anything.

The beach, pool and location to restaurants and activities. Rooms are well apportioned. My room location had traffic noise at night. Will avoid that one in the future.

This was a pure gem. It’s older and could use some upgrades but it was very clean, the staff was beyond helpful and the location was excellent. When I travel for beach it’s all about the location and this was absolutely perfect. Somewhat private and not over crowded and an overall pleasant place to be.

I loved the pool and it's location even thug I didn't have time to use it.. the beach was awesome..I loved the privacy and it wasn't a long walk I didn't like they didn't have any designated smoking areas. And I didn't like the ice machine was in the office and you couldn't get to it overnight. The maintenance guy was watching my husband. He even asked if he was smoking on the balcony which he was not!

There is not daily services to clean the rooms or at least each two days

It was clean, comfortable and peaceful. I didn’t like the noise made at night from the room upstairs. People need. to be mindful of the people sleeping downstairs at night..

The place is fantastic ..super for relaxing . Not too fancy just basic but very clean and nice . staff The closeness to the beach is perfect . We have a reallly good time … Perfect place for going as a family .Thanks so much . I recommended 100% Location and peaceful place

I would have assumed that they would have just leveled the property.And built something else in its place.But the place was absolutely beautiful. I do home remodeling, and I could not find any flaws. And how the place looked after being flooded with three feet of sand all the way into the lobby. Spectacular accommodations, very relaxing pool area and a fantastic walk straight out to the beach!! Beautiful!! The beds we're firm and perfect to my liking.For sleep, the room was quite large.And plenty of room between the foot of the bed and the stand for the tv and folding kitchen table. An oversized closet.I made into a small kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker. Perfect accommodations for a night or two stay. *** Below you will find pictures that I took of how the place looked right after the hurricanes compared to how beautiful it looks now. I do not believe any shortcuts we're taking during their renovations. Fantastic renovation work!! That i had to leave!

The location was great, the unit was a surprise, with a modern remodel. The access to the beach was perfect. I would assume this is overlooked because the building is old, but the rooms were very nice Would have loved to have a rug by the bed. Unit need better water pressure in the shower.

Our second-floor room could not have been closer to the beach and provided an unobstructed view of the gulf. We we surprised that the room had a stove, microwave, plates and utensils, coffee maker, and refrigerator. There was no elevator, but since there were only two stories this was not a problem.

We loved the location! It was located on the beach in a more quiet location. It was a blast from the past. It brought back so many good memories from my childhood. Our room opened up to the beach and was really comfortable. We had a kitchen and had close access to the pool. The Owner and staff were very nice! We arrived later in the evening and they were there to greet us. We liked it so much, we asked for an extra night and they accommodated us without having to move our room. Everything was wonderful! I cant think of anything.

Could hear the people walking upstairs all night made it hard too sleep

Beautiful location, friendly staff and great view of the beach from our balcony. The beds were awful. The mattress was broken down and old.

Only downside, tv was not a smart tv, so couldn’t log into streaming apps to watch. But, made for better family time.

My favorite place to stay in Florida. Spacious rooms, cute little kitchenette, walk out to a private beach, perfect, breathtaking sunsets, clean pool, quiet and clean property. My family loves it!

The motel and were pretty dated. But it was pretty clean and the staff was nice. It had it’s own beach access which was very nice and super convenient

Only complaint was that they don’t allow you to stay parked in the parking lot on day of checkout. Would have been nice to been able to use the beach a couple hours.

The motel is pretty average and the price is reasonable but the unbelievable location and beach access is worth it alone. You basically have the beach to yourself unlike up the road in Clearwater beach where you can't turn around without running into someone. Would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future.

The location is wonderful if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy a beautiful part of the Gulf Coast. I was a solo female traveler and felt very comfortable. The only drawback I experienced was not being able to access the ice machine outside of office hours. I will plan better on my next stay! I highly recommend this small motel for a taste of Old Florida.

The beach was amazing but we didn’t have any views of it, only the parking lot right outside our window and next to the utility room on the other side. We felt secluded. The suite was really nice except for the dirty floors. We couldn’t go barefoot. We will go back but next time we will request a room with beach views.

Ive stayed many times before. However this time there was mold in the bathrooms and windows. Windows were off tracks and noise and small bugs came thru. The room had a dirty floor when checkin in . And they run the leaf blower at 8:30 in the morning waking everyone up. Also no signage for the people not familiar the beach walking all over the newley planted sea grass. This was a hidden gem i hope they redo the upstairs rooms. And also the night staff managed to make me feel uncomfortable following whatever single woman he could non stop questioning and seemed was lerking around . Stayed in my room last 2 nights

The beach was great! Room was nothing fancy, but clean. Staff was pleasant. The coffee is horrible and no coffee spots around. Buy your own groceries and you’ll find this place a nice gem.

The rooms were nice, our room only had the 2 beds and microwave and fridge. No hairdryer so make sure to bring one. It is about a 15 minute drive to Clearwater which was nice to eat. There were not any shops in a walking distance but the beach was right on property!!

Lower floor rooms are refurbished nicely I would definitely stay again

Literally right on the beach. Walked out my door and in 15 seconds was sitting in a beach chair at the edge of the sea wall with a white sand beach before me watching pelicans dive bomb into the Gulf. Room was clean but not fancy. Parking was only issue, very narrow and limited spaces. However for the price and the location (hello, the beach) you can’t beat it! I will be coming back here next time I come to the beach on the Gulf.

This place was the absolute best place to go for a nice quiet beach vacation

Staff not very friendly especially the lady who checked us in. Room key would not work so I immediately went back only to find her locking up. She was not happy about having to go back in. It then took her forever how to figure out how to make a new key. It was only 4 pm. isn’t that normal check in time? The office was then closed up. The next day about noon I asked a maintenance man how do I access the ice machine and all those brochures and maybe even the book exchange. He then located someone and I was allowed about 3 minutes and then it was all locked up again. Strange. Oh and if you’re a smoker, it is only allowed in the parking lot by your vehicle. It is a long walk to get to the water and there is a 5 ft cliff of sand but if you walk left a bit you can get down easier. Beautiful protected beach and clean property.

Everything was perfect.

Newly remodeled. Looked great and was clean. Beach is the reason to stay here. It’s right on it and it’s very private. It’s all residential where this is so if you are looking for nightlife you may want to pick one of the overcrowded high rise down the road. Several chairs along the beach property line to wake up and have coffee or sit and watch sunset. Pool is basic but clean. Most rooms have kitchenette so we bought groceries and saved a ton of money. My family loves this place. We have been two other times before the updated property. We will go again

Great place to stay!

We are so happy that this resort reopened! We had a great view of the beach from our balcony. The first night we were at the resort there was an early morning lunar eclipse which was amazing to see right from our balcony. I loved swimming in the pool which was a good temperature and was never too busy.

Very clean kitchen unit with a bedroom & full bath/shower. Pool area & all of the outside was very neat & clean. Plenty of chairs & tables. The most beautiful beach right in front of motel.

Beach area was ok. Did NOT like "no smoking" on Pinellas Co beaches!!! Facility didn't have a designated smoking area. Pool was clean, didnt swim, wasnt heated. Daily towel exchange was excellent. All staff members were friendly and helpful!

Location, location, location. Room was clean. Amy at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Food, while not available onsite, was very easy and close. If you like the crazy busy beaches they are right down the road. Was very happy with our stay!!

The rooms were well decorated. The AC in the Bed room was so loud we had to turn it off and just use the living room AC running very low (65 degrees) to help cool the bed room some. The Bed was very uncomfortable (hard). The bedroom remote had dead batteries. The first morning we could not get any hot water for our morning shower.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and had a perfect stay! The sunset view was breathtaking. The beach water was warm and calm.

The property is absolutely beautiful and is mere yards from the ocean. I wish we could have stayed another night to enjoy the location even more. The only hiccup was the sadly departed 3 inch cockroach I found between the tub and sink. Definitely dead but would've preferred not finding.

It’s a lovely older motel. You can tell they’ve done upgrades and it was very clean.

The room was nice and quiet but the hot water took a good eight minutes to get going in the shower. The pool closes a bit early (8p.m.) but was clean and well kept. The staff was nice but the all-star of the company was an amazing, calm, friendly hound named Alan. He kept us company in the lobby while we waited for our Uber. The beach is frickin excellent. Most of the time there were only six or so other people there, which made it feel exclusive. I highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back!

We love staying here. It is on an amazing beach. This was our 5th stay here and we will be back. Not the fanciest but it has a place in our hearts.

Always a wonderful stay

This is a nice, quiet hotel in a residential neighborhood. It’s a little dated, but if you’re wanting beachfront at an affordable price, it can’t be beat. Decent restaurants are all just a few miles away. There is no bar/restaurant at the property.

What a gem this place was. Booked at last minute and on a whim, wanted some thing on the beach. Such an amazing little spot. We were just a couple steps from the beach, nice quiet place next to the ocean. The mattresses were a little hard, but with a view like that, I couldn’t complain. So much to do and the pool was beautiful. What a cute little area and the beach was just amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Close to the beach

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary at Belleair Beach Resort due to 3 factors: beautiful location, great local restaurants and reasonable room rates. Since we came midweek, the resort was very quiet and in the mornings, we had the entire pool to ourselves. The beach goers were sparse, the views of the Gulf and wildlife were amazing and although it was HOT, beautiful breezes made it comfortable. There were plenty of lounge chairs and outdoor eating areas along with shuffleboard and the bean bags. As far as the accommodations, they were adequate. Nothing fancy. The only complaints were the mattresses needed to be replaced and there was no Kleenex in the room. Other than that, we’ve been coming here for decades and we will continue to enjoy all the natural amenities of Belleair Beach.

Exceeded our expectations and we were completely delight with our stay. Clean, huge and comfy rooms. Friendly staff. Kitchenette room was very convenient. The beach is a 1 minute walk away. Feels like a private beach paradise. We will be coming back to this motel for our yearly "beach get-away". Kids loved every moment!

Also nice is that supply plenty of beach chairs and kids beach toys for guests. There's also chairs outside the rooms. The beds were comfy, there's lots of pillows, and light blankets. It's Florida! We don't need down comforters!

Quiet

Nice quiet Bellair neighborhood. Clean property but dated bathrooms. No beach towels but they will be happy to give you extra bath towels to use at the beach and pool. Very clean heated pool, small but deep (8 feet deep to be exact). Great location right on the beach was the selling point for us. Free parking although they want to make sure you leave right at 11:30am so that next guest will have parking available. They did give us a late checkout at 12noon instead of 11am and they made the exception bc it was a Wednesday checkout otherwise they sounded pretty strict. Grounds are kept really clean, nice beach chairs and tiki huts to dine outside that we got takeout from nearby breakfast places. Love that they had beach toys there for kids and chairs to take to the beach at no extra charge. Everything in the photos on Expedia looked just like that in person. We stayed in room 131 which is on the first floor w two queen beds, roomy enough for the four of us, microwave and fridge in room. Pros: clean property, right on the beach, not busy bc it is a residential area, clean pool, free beach toys and chairs to use on the beach, free parking, within 5 minute drive to some mom and pop eateries (we liked Coco’s Crush Bar and grill open till 11pm but kitchen closes at 10ish). Cons: the front desk closes at 8pm thru 10am so if you get locked out of your room I think you can call this emergency number (just make sure you have your card key at all times!) Pool closes at 8pm, too early.

Decent place, but NOT A RESORT. It is an old, tired 2-storey motel, with A LOT of Rules posted everywhere. BUT - with a private beach. The front desk lady was nice. There was limited parking (POSTED - one car per room, no guests}. Front desk closes at 8pm (meaning no ice from the ice dispenser after 8pm). The room floors, fixtures and furniture were run down. We PURPOSEFULLY spent more time outside in front of the dune and on the beach than in the room.

Beautiful place to stay on the beach. Family friendly. Close to restaurants. No pool/beach towels were provided so you have to remember to bring your own.

The Belleair Beach Motel was perfect for our family. The staff was friendly, we had a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was clean, had a kitchenette with everything we needed to prep meals, clean pool and it is right on the beach! There is an outdoor shower to wash off the sand, chairs and tables to enjoy the property and watch the sunsets and beach chairs and sand toys for the kids. There was not daily housekeeping, which was fine because when we left our towels out, they were immediately replaced with fresh ones. It was a beautiful stay and we are looking forward to returning!

Excellent beach, beach access. Ckean and quiet. You will want to Buy ice elsewhere: they restrict the ice machine hours. Not for singles or parties. They have quiet time rules. Good for older couples, families with children over 10

Clean rooms!! Quiet. Views of the Gulf from your room!! Having a kitchen with a much bigger refrigerator than you would get in a hotel. Outdoor shuffle board, clean pool and friendly staff! What more could you ask? We will be going back!!

Decent sized room. It's a good place to spend a few days for your vacation if you are looking for a place close to beach. They also provide toys/chairs for the beach. A few suggestions: Kitchenette was missing some basic things like cutting knife, mixing spoons, covers for the pots/pans. Our room particularly didn't have the sliding door with mirror for the closet.

Very clean and private. Have their own path to the beach. No high rise condos near by, in a residential area with direct access to the beach. Small fridge and microwave.

It was great to be right on the beach with endless walking possibilities . Such a lovely area surrounding the motel. We found everything clean and in good condition. Fortunately the motel information stated that there is no dining option within walking distance so we were prepared for that.

It is close to the beach.

This is a very nice, older beachside motel. The owners have kept up with maintenance, making it a good short term alternative to the higher priced condos on the beach which charge a cleaning fee. They are located in a residential area, but many restaurants and shops are within easy driving distance.

That’s when the disappointment set in. The “rules” that are posted , especially around check out were unlike any hotel / motel we’d ever stayed in . We asked about a late check out . Hard no . You have to be out of your room at 11. Ok cool . Are we able to stay on the property for an hour or two after check out ? Hard no . You and your vehicle must be off the property by 11:30 . No exceptions . Based on the amount of tow away zone parking signs and threats of towing it was not an option . I kindly asked why so strict . It feels like they wanna throw you out . The lady said I’m sorry , it’s just the policy . I asked if we could even pay for a couple hours . Hard no . When we pulled out of the parking lot at 11:30 , there were less than 9 cars in the parking lot with more than 30-35 spaces. Keep in mind , they make it every clear you can’t check in before 4. So sad . Cute clean place with semi friendly host , left a terrible taste in our mouth feeling forced out .

Hotel has great location, loved the beach! Very clean and such a comfortable stay. VERY relaxing place and Kathy was everything all the good reviews said about her and more. Can't wait for my next stay.

Place truly is right on the beach. We just stayed for Sunday and Monday during labor day and had a great time. Close to bars and restaurants

So happy we found this oceanfront property. From the time we checked in with Kathy to our walks on the beach, comfortable bed, and nicely equipped kitchenette, everything was great. We took a short few-minute drive to the next beach to find many choices for yummy food. Next time we’ll bring something to grill too! Can’t wait for our next visit to this cute little gem.

Amazing!! Kathy checked us in and answered all of our questions! She was awesome! Our room was very clean. The hotel is located in a residential area so it was very quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. However, there was cute places to eat not far down the road, and a grocery store, Walgreens and chain restaurants just over the bridge (within a couple miles). The property was VERY well maintained. The groundskeeper was out every morning picking up trash, watering plants, etc. The pool was very clean as well. You can tell the hotel is older, but well kept. The was not daily housekeeping, but that’s fine with us as we were barely in our room. The hotel is directly in the beach. There are a few grills and lots of loungers and chairs looking over the beach. Along with covered tiki type huts by the grilling area.

It advertised better but it wasn’t.

We came back for the 2nd time and loved it for a getaway for our little family. One thing to keep in mind, there is no restaurants or stores within close walking distance but with a vehicle its perfect. The charcoal grills are nice.

Room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom window has mold/mildew. A larger tv would be nice.

My wife and i loved the old time feel of the place and its location. Nice pool and barque grils. One downside, we had a kitchenette and the utensils and other items were very much lacking.

No warm water in the shower

This property has its own beach. It is kept up so beautifully. Such a beautiful area and I felt safe. Staff was so amazing so the people that stayed there were very nice to visit with as well.

Other than the location of this property, this place falls well short of it's 8 rating, especially for what they charge! The entire property is stuck in the 70's, needs a whack load of work and even up keep (lights out in our room, bathroom fan didn't work etc.). If you're looking for a dive of a motel right on the beach, this is your place, but the price they charge doesn't justify it. Safe to say my family will not be staying here again.

Really sweet place. A little outdated, but in a way that felt like true FL charm to me. I miss these kinds of places and prefer a well run local motel to a giant corporate resort. I understand the “no guests” rule, but I wish it was a “no extra cars, clear guests first, guests permitted during daylight hours only” or something. I was greatly disappointed to learn I couldn’t have my parents over. I understand the catch 22 of keeping the vibe chill.

Really nice place

The hot water was very hot... Did find cigar wrappers in room. Looked as if someone had a party in room. Saw evidence of looked like paint on ceiling and some kind of paper wrapped around curtain rod. Toilet didnt flush to well.. But maybe thats the way it works. Pool was nice. Straight walk to beach very nice. Great facility . i would for sure stay there again. I really believe the price was too much.

Property was very lovely. We have stayed here before and so enjoy it. The room was very clean and spacious. The beach here is delightful. Would come back again.

Great little property right on the beach

All in all a great place to stay, clean friendly and nice environment.

Our stay was better than we had expected. If we come to Tampa again will look to see if we can stay in the same place

A hidden Gem! Love this place! Not a very far walk to the beach at all, so it was great for my elderly dad to watch the sunset. If you have someone traveling with disabilities on getting around easily/has shortness of breath etc… definitely request a bottom floor unit as there is no elevator. It’s only a bottom and top floor but some may not do well with stairs. There’s good sidewalk ways for someone with a Walker or a Rascal (battery scooter) should you be with someone who needs to bring theirs and chairs are sitting before beach access to watch sunset! The only thing I wish was different is that the pool stay open a little later. They lock it at 8pm and there’s still so much time and fun to be had. However, there is a gorgeous beach steps away so you can’t complain too bad 😆 I love Laura at the front desk! She’s a sweetheart!

This is an older property that is reasonably well maintained. You absolutely can't beat the location. We will probably come back again.

Old School Motel that was very clean and has direct access to the beach. If your looking for high end this isn’t the place but if your looking for clean and quiet and quick access to the beach then I highly recommend this location.

Private beach

The location of this place is perfect, very close to a spectacular beach but this place really needs an update the conditions of the rooms are very bad in addition to being very dirty and full of cockroaches, we could notice that a man who seems to be from the staff maintenance or something is the same person who cleans the rooms, they have only one ice machine and they do not let you fill your coolers to take to the beach, in general the place is not bad if you plan to spend all your day at the beach but the price is expensive for the conditions they have in the rooms.

This property is right on the beach and is also convenient to good restaurants.

The only thing we were happy with was the location on the beach. We arrived 2 hours early. We knew that check in was at 4 and we would probably have to wait for our room but there is no bathroom available for guests to use. We were told to go down to the public beach. We were excited to stay at a small place instead of a huge hotel and expected a warm welcome. The woman at the front desk was not friendly at all. We paid over $300 for our rooms. They each had a mini kitchen but there was no paper towel and no tissues for us to use.

I loved the view overlooking pool and ocean… grounds clean people friendly
