    When we checked in, the clerk said we were on the third floor and would need to take the stairs. My husband is 80, and I thought it would have been nice to at least ask if we needed help carrying our luggage. It was 9:30, and it is possible there was just no one available, but an apology would have been nice. Our room was reasonably comfortable - the mattress was ok and the Room was quiet at night. Caulk around the shower was black and looked dirty,but I’m pretty sure it had been cleaned as best as they were able. Breakfast was OK as well. They offered scrambled eggs, sausage patties and waffles, as well as an assortment of cereals and oatmeal. Yogurt was also available. Overall, the staff was polite and all requests were met with courtesy and kindness. The hotel is very close to Midway airport and the shuttle was very convenient

    Thursday June 11th (tornado warnings) Couldn't get into room until after 8pm (check in 3pm) Desk staff horrendous, on her personal phone while telling me 'there are no rooms available' (due to they're not ready...left that part out) Room was musty (AC was off on a 94degree day, not even the fan to circulate) No shuttle call, had to go to the lobby '5 minutes early' for the desk to call and then wait for the shuttle...forget that extra half hour of sleep you could have gotten, especially of the 4 hours of sleep we finally got once in the room. 2/5 stars 4/10stars.

    Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Room was nice beds not to bad BUT..... front desk young lady was rude seemed like we were a bother to her when I explained i could not do stairs as tge elevator was down she places us on 3rd floor all stairs with access only thru a outside staircase. 2nd person i spoke to had no issue getting us to better room 2nd floor but less stairs

    Our room was small, but perfect for the 2 of us. Breakfast was good for my husband, but I am gluten free and there weren’t many options. Our room had been renovated in some ways, but still needs some cosmetic/minor fixes. The airport shuttle was fantastic and the staff were all very helpful and kind. We are actually going back with our family in July.

    The night staff was not very professional or welcoming. The hallways and the elevators were disgusting. Ashes all over the floors, garbage on the floor. They gave us a room that was never serviced with garbage, unmade beds, bathroom was gross. Change to a different room, but then got stuck next to people that argued all night. The room itself still felt unclean. The shuttle service was just OK. Would not recommend.!

    My room was dirty, and smelled like wet dog or mildew upon arrival. Was highly upset and the hotel was fully booked out so I could ‘t even ask for another room. The shower was really bad at keeping the water inside the shower-well which caused the water to seep into the carpet no matter how many towels we put down. Couldn’t take a shower without there being a ginormous puddle of water on the floor. & the ac barely worked which made the room even more humid/mildew smelling. Would not book this hotel again.

    Reasonably priced ,close to expressways making it easier to navigate Chicago...... very familiar with Chicago, it was nice to see when I could hit the back roads..... California ,Kenzie or stay on the main 55....50 ....Lakeshore 41, I also like the convenience of Walmart over the bridge a McDonald's as we're heading into town, we did not stop at Lou's for pizza or Giordano's !!!!but we will next time LOL!!! Nos vemos pronto!!!

    I was able to switch to a much better room in less than 5 mins. There are a lot of food choices in the area within walking distance so that was nice. The airport shuttle was the biggest thing for me. It came as expected and brought you to/from the airport very quickly. Everyone was very friendly. I don't usually stay at hotels like this but it was a quick in and out for a business trip. I was there just for the night (less than 12 hrs), I slept, showered, etc. It did the job!

    I liked the manager she was kind and accommodating. And apologized for our mishaps. I didn't like the front desk clerk when we checked in. She was rude and very unwelcoming. Wasn't knowledgeable. And didn't follow up on a request. The shower in the bathroom was full of mold. My bed had hair in it when I pulled back the sheets. I wasn't comfortable taking a shower, so I didn't but my roommate did and she said the shower water pressure was really slow..no pressure. This hotel is horrible.

    The room was not fully clean, mildew/mold in the shower, questionable spots on the curtains and walls, not everything was wiped down like the side table and boards. First time using the restroom I almost jumped out of my skin from the toilet flush it was so loud. Bed was clean with the exception of a few red/black spots on the pillow cases. There was a large gap in the door and door frame, which could have been from natural foundation shifting, but not fully safe feeling. Front Desk agents were nice, I had lost an item and was waiting at the front desk as I was leaving.

    We had to cancel our hotel stay,as our flight from Lubbock Texas to Dallas was delayed by 2 hours, thus we were unable to get a later flight from Dallas to Chicago. Every time I called the hotel directly the line was busy and I must have called a dozen times over the course of 2 hours. Also, after calling Hotels.com, they also put me on hold and tried to call the hotel directly and we're also unable to get thru after multiple tries. I still don't know if I was charged for the room or not, because we were a no show because we were routed to Dallas over night.

    Our Door Lock didn't work... and we were put into the furthest room from the front desk. I went back 4 times and was given an updated key... None of them worked since the lock didn't work. Finally after the fifth try the gal who checked us in came down and used her special key and that didn't work. Rather than put us into another room we had to wait 45 minutes for the maintenance person to show up and fix the clock. We are in our Late 70's and the walk was a football field one way. Then the bathroom toilet was an atomic bomb when you flushed it, and it woke up everyone every time it was used. The gal at the check in desk after 5:00pm CST has no customer service experience and should be replaced. We make this trip every year and next year we will no longer be staying at this location.

    This was a very family friendly location for us. The most helpful feature for us was the use of the shuttle to take us to the train station. For $5/person, we could ride the train into Chicago, to the White Sox games, on and off as many times as we wanted each day. Very easy to access this hotel, and then have full access to the whole city without worrying about driving or parking.

    Maintenance did arrive approximately 15 minutes later and identified the issue as a switch that had been turned off. After they restored it, the air conditioner functioned for roughly 45 minutes before failing again and blowing warm air. When I requested to be moved to another room, I was told the hotel was fully booked. We selected the Sleep Inn for a simple overnight stay before our early morning flight on Saturday, May 16. Instead, we spent the night in an uncomfortably hot room and were unable to rest before a required 3 AM wake‑up for travel. The conditions were unacceptable and did not reflect the value of the rate paid. At that point, sleeping in my car would have offered more comfort than the room provided.

    Front staff was polite and friendly. But this hotel is in bad made of renovations. My room was dingy and sad. Curtains not operational towels threadbare, linens did not cover the mattress completely exposing mattress stains. Carpet frayed. General conditions poor. If you're on a tight budget stay here- if you have any money to spend find a different hotel in the Midway complex all of them are way better than this one.

    This hotel was ok, it’s a little out dated, the table the television was siting on apparently was broken on the left side and instead of them replacing it they stapled it together with heavy duty staples that were clearly visible, we stayed there for 2 nights and after Our first night there we were informed that we will be charged $30 per night to park in the hotel parking lot, absolutely ridiculous.

    It’s good for a few hours, but that’s it. There was a blood stain on the curtains. A lot of white crusty stains by the bottom of the bed, leading to the bathroom. The door next to my room slammed so loud throughout the night, it shook me every single time. The shuttle bus was a short ride thankfully, but that thing sounded like it was about to fall apart. The only good thing about this Sleep Inn is the convenience of it being so close to Midway. I probably won’t return.

    I had to sign a bunch of paperwork regarding the rules. Then 2 days later the fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the building at 1:30 am. Come to find out the reason for the fire department and police being notified was because some ignorant pieces of crap were smoking marijuana and partying in their room. No apologies given and the guy at the front desk could care less about any of us in the freezing cold weather. Never going back again.

    From the minute we walked in, the staff member at the front was very rude and dismissive. When we did get to our room it was very outdated and needed work. There was a bug crawling around in the shower and I woke up the next morning with bites on my arm. There was a party next door to us all night, I woke up to complain to the staff member because the next door neighbors were partying so loud and screaming and slamming doors and the staff member told me “you can’t control what they do, they are allowed to do that unless it’s too crazy” they let the people party and slam doors and scream all night. We had to be up at 1 am for our flight. We had to pay $30.00 a night to park and then they put a $100.00 hold on my credit card. I would definitely not recommend staying here.

    DONT BOOK HERE I booked a hotel for 2 days that ended up costing me for that an entire vacation. They charged me a smoking fee twice (for the same instance) totaling to almost 900 dollars.I was already upset about the first fee and then I checked out and they reran my card for another $410 dollars. NeverEVER have I had this happen to me and I travel a lot. Definitely won’t book here ever again.

    The entire lobby stunk like marijuana. It was never disclosed that there are no other options for parking other than the paid parking. I was told Midway owns the property and I had no other options than to pay $30 a day to park. Rooms were not great.

    The second room we booked was dirty. Staff we interacted with was nice though. Wish breakfast was a bit earlier cause our flight required us to be at the airport and we missed it. Shuttle was confident though. Allowed us to take the Turo back and not have to worry about that. But overall for the price I guess it wasn’t that bad overall.

    Paper thin walls. Could hear every loud neighbors conversation all night long. Noisy noisy area! Cold water showers. Not worth the money saved. Pay up and stay somewhere better!

    We received our first room key and went upstairs, but it didn’t work. The key flashed yellow instead of green, and it sounded like someone might already be inside the room. I went back downstairs to let the front desk know. She insisted the room was assigned to us and nobody should be in there, but gave me another key. The second key didn’t work either. We went back downstairs and she apologized and gave us a different room. We went upstairs again — that key didn’t work either. At this point we had already made several trips back and forth. On the fourth trip downstairs I was getting frustrated and let my daughter speak with her. She sent us back upstairs again with another key, but this time the lock didn’t even register the card. When we returned again, she questioned whether we were using the key correctly, which was frustrating. After about 30 minutes and six trips up and down, she finally checked the door herself and confirmed the key system wasn’t working. Eventually we received a room that worked. My issue isn’t the malfunction — things happen. The problem was how the situation was handled and repeatedly being blamed for something that wasn’t our fault.

    My hotel room had roaches. Didn’t see them the night when I arrived. I had a 5am flight the next day so I got up to shower at 2am. Right in the bathroom there were 2 huge roaches. I watched them crawl to the shower head as there was a little crack on the side of it that the roaches ran in. I didn’t mention anything as I only stayed in the room about 4 hours. The room was cheap so you get what you pay for. Please spend a few extra dollars to stay somewhere nicer. I would no recommend this hotel.

    The staff was absolutely excellent!! They treat everyone with the utmost professionalism. The rooms and Lobby need some updating, I had burns in the carpet and the coving on the seats in the lobby are scary, but your staff being so kind so I didn’t complain to them I’m sure it’s not thier fault they are doing the best they can with they have, they clean well!!

    For Sleep Inn, we lacked sleep. After a long drive, we attempted to take showers only for freezing cold water and no temperature change, plus the handle was broken and water did not sta in the shower because the shower door would not stay latch and had a huge gap at the bottom. The whole night was full of slamming doors, yelling from other rooms, police activity in other rooms, and the overwhelming smell of marijuana wafting into our room. In the morning, the breakfast was served cold and had to be reheated. We got out of there as fast as we could.

    The staff here is excellent - very helpful with the parking situation. The room smelled and was very clean, bed comfortable, and shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. The only negative was no coffee maker in the room, but they have coffee downstairs 24/7, so no worries.

    Found this hotel last minute when our flight got cancelled due to a snow/ice storm. It was adequate, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. But it was outdated, the room was really small, and the corridors, lobby area, and elevators were not very clean (although with the storm, people were tracking in alot). I wouldn't exactly choose it again but it was inexpensive, and met our need for that night.

    The check in was fast and friendly. The room was okay. Somewhere to sleep. Two of the dresser drawers were broken and not fixed the right way. The pillows were very soft. Some people do like they that way and some people don't. The bed was hard and not comfortable and all. The edge of the bed was harder and felt almost like cardboard. The blanket was very thin. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap and quick place to stay.

    The front desk staff and housekeeping team at the Sleep Inn Midway Airport were very friendly and helpful. The check-in process was smooth, and the room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was what you’d expect for a “breakfast included” setup—nothing fancy, but it got the job done. However, the overall atmosphere of the hotel made it hard to fully relax. There were people smoking in the hallways despite it being a non-smoking property, and I often heard loud noises, doors slamming, and people running or bumping against the walls at night. It felt a bit chaotic and unsettling at times. If the management can address the noise and smoking issues, this would be a solid, comfortable stay near Midway Airport. For now, I’d rate it as just okay.

    Convenient Hotel to Midway Airport. Shuttle was great every 20 minutes to and from Airport. From the airport you can take the orange subway line right into downtown area. The breakfast was good, I'm glad they had it. It was a basic breakfast every morning. Staff was very friendly. The rooms were fine for the price. It was a carpeted room so some staining, but we always wear slippers. Pocket door to bathroom was very noisy, the coffee pot in the room sounded like it was being murdered but the rooms had a microwave and mini refrigerator which was great. There were many restaurants in the area and a Starbucks with an easy walk. Walmart, Target and Aldi within a 12-minute highway sidewalk walk. For a short visit, and for the price we would defiantly stay again.

    The lady at the front desk was very helpful with planning our excursions into the city. She adviced which train stations to get off at and which bus to use to get to touist sites. Didn't get lost the 3 days we went into and out of chicago. Also the shuttle was great didn't have ti drive into city one time.

    The hotel was easy to get to Chicago marathon at a good price. They did not offer any early breakfast like my last hotel did for a marathon. My husband did take advantage of breakfast but it was watery eggs. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom door was sliding and very squeaky. Staff was nice.

    Good room for the price. Staff was great! They did not have any rooms for early check and gave me a parking pass while I went sightseeing downtown. They have good free breakfast. They offered free shuttles to Midway airport every half hour. Then you can catch subway Orange line at airport to downtown. I would stay here again. One of the lower price hotels in the area.

    It was ok. Our rooms bathroom had a motor that went all night although it wasn't on. Car traffic is loud in the room at night due to thin windows. We ended up moving to another room the next day due to the bathroom motor and traffic noise. The next room was better. Rooms could be cleaned a little more thoroughly, but nothing my own bleach wipes can't take care of. Breakfast was decent. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.

    The property is indeed convenient however, on the downside, it is extremely noisy. We didn’t get any sleep. The windows are so thin, you can hear people talking outside from the third floor.     Upon arrival to check in, we were surprised to learn that our reservation had been canceled and no room was available for us. We were informed that an attempt had been made to contact us "as a courtesy," but as we were already traveling at the time we did not get the call and no voicemail was left explaining the situation. Furthermore, we were told the cancellation was due to a health hazard and it was "first come, first serve", which is not a typical practice we have experienced with hotel reservations. This led to the unfortunate situation where, despite having booked well in advance, we were left without accommodations. All nearby hotels were fully booked, and since we are from Michigan, returning home was not a viable option. Thankfully, we were able to stay with family living about an hour away. While we appreciate the full refund issued for the room, we incurred additional expenses that were directly related to this inconvenience: $100 in Uber fees for transportation that ultimately served no purpose, and $100 in non-refundable shuttle fees that we were unable to use. We understand that unforeseen circumstances happen. However, the resolution and communication of these events fell short at our expense unfortunately.

    The rooms are extremely small! Especially the shower being a person that’s claustrophobic it was pretty hard getting used to the room! Very expensive for what we got! Breakfast was good & great staff. Very very small rooms for the huge price! Hotel definitely not updated at all just rooms I’m sure split renovated to make smaller. Shower leaked into small toilet nook. Sink leaked as well! Definitely probably won’t be an option for us when we visit again.

    As this hotel was among the most economical choice in Bedford Park, I am pleased with this option. Although the building shows some sign of age, the room was nice, clean and quiet. The bed was a bit soft side; but, I slept well after a long working day outdoor. On top of that, everyone who works at this hotel was nice and courteous. That positive experiences offsets pretty much everything to spend a good night. As there are a few restaurants around, I took out dishes and had in the room. For this, a small refrigerator and microwave in the room were certainly welcomed. As the "shared" shuttle bus runs every 20 min plus only 5 min to and from Midway Airport, it was very reliable and reduce some stress we may experience other hotels. Overall, it was a great stay and appreciate all the effort from this hotel to offer.

    What I did not like is the fact the I had to tell the hotel ahead of time that I wanted my room clean and no one told me. Therefore my room was not cleaned my entire stay. I did find a stain on the mattress that I wasn't happy with but overall I did enjoy my stay and would stay there again

    I had to switch rooms twice rooms were by the exits. When I finally got a room the tumbler wouldn’t lock, didn’t feel exactly safe. The sink was stopped up so the water drained slowly. Overall it was convenient. Bad experience. Would I stay there again? Perhaps!

    Expidia don’t mention before booking is $30 per day parking ticket. $60 paid for 2 days it’s too much price for parking and haven’t seen anyone looking after your car. stayed for two nights, and while it was an acceptable stay, there were several issues. Only a limited number of ports were functioning to charge my phone. The carpet was extremely dirty, and the breakfast options were limited. The room was not cleaned on the second day. When I requested additional towels from the front desk, as only two were provided for four people, it took two hours to receive them. I was informed that someone would be sent to address the electrical outlet issue, but no one arrived

    My flight got cancelled along with many other people. So this was a last minute look for a hotel, and found the Sleep Inn. I booked it, because they had breakfast, were reasonable and had shuttle to the airport. Very conveniently took the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and then had breakfast in the morning and got the shuttle back to the airport. The breakfast was good. The rooms were quiet, loved the shower. Got a good night sleep now ready for the rest of my adventure.

    It started off not so good. The bedding was not changed and the room had a smell of smoke, but the front desk and the room attendant were accommodating and fix the issues quickly. My next room was clean, nice, and cozy.

    Biker club had reservations at the hotel. Bikes were parked in handicapped parking spaces in front of hotel. Had to park in the handicap spot on the side of building. Parking lot behind hotel was wide open for bikes. If I had known the club had reservations, I would have went somewhere else for those two nights.

    Our toilet broke in our room within us entering we got moved down to a worse room with walls you could hear through, windows that didn’t block any sound, and a fridge without a freezer which was needed for medication. This was all with no compensation and we had to pay for parking granted it came out a deposit that we didn’t know we had to put down till the day before. So they scam you out of 100$ to pay for ur parking. Staff was friendly, WiFi was decent, food could have been better but not the worse

    I stayed for a few hours in the night as a transit passenger, when my Southwest flight got cancelled. I had to book my own room. The price was cheapest through Hotels.com app. The room was reasonable except for the bed which was bent down and the TV did not work properly. I left by 4 am so I did not try the breakfast, but I was able to make hot coffee in the room. Free airport shuttle was the hight light of the stay.

    Room was old, outdated, and damaged in some areas. Didn’t feel very safe staying alone on the first floor. Carpet in room felt almost damp and sticky. Bathroom floor was not clean. It was clear that the bed had been freshly made and the shower was clean. Worked fine as a place to get a few hours of sleep when my flight was canceled.

    This room is filled with ants that continue to appear on the nightstand and walls. My infant daughter is in this room and ants are nearly crawling on the bed she is sleeping on from the headboard. This is absolutely unacceptable, disgusting and a safety concern. I demand a full refund! This isn’t equipped for guests whatsoever.

    It was easy to get to. Plumbing was not the best, but it was fixed within the day. Parking was not free, but it was not as expensive as some other places.
