The Hostal is in a historic building in town so there are the usual quirks one should expect. The room itself was an odd, rhombus shape, but was still roomy enough to be very comfortable. The reception staff was very helpful showing us the layout of Barcelona and how to get to the various points of interest. There's an elevator for a reason. The stairs are a bit much.

Great ! Easy access . Staff very friendly. Eve thing was good

Great location, clean No mirrors in room
-
Very expensive room for the facilities provided. The AC did not work properly, really bad WiFi connection, and you could hear every little noise from the rooms nearby or the corridor.

Its location is priceless. We wanted to have our private room, so the only shared property was the toilet. We also had a shower and a sink in our room. The room and bathroom were super clean. We also utilized the AC to warm up and most importantly- the antique elevator was super cool!

This is an interesting place. I'm not sure why they use the word "hostel" as it's definitely not a hostel. More like a very simple, clean hotel in a good location. The rooms are very basic. One bathroom on each floor. There is a common area but it only offers water. No plates, forks, spoons, etc. It was surprisingly quiet and everyone very respectful. The staff was lovely. Great part of town 15 min walk from Sagrada Familia. Good place to stay 1 or 2 nights. Especially for the price.

Don't make same mistake

small room without a window (looks like it was a bathroom previously), cold in winter (but it relates to the absence of a heating system in Barca, probably).

The location was absolutely amazing, and central to everything! The Família Sagrada was literally in view from my balcony, Gaudís famous design homes were all within walking distance of 20-25 minutes , plaza Cataluyna and Barcelona Cathedral was also a 22 minute walk ! Absolutely great location , with restaurants and mini marts 5 minutes or less away walking. Alvin was more than just a staff member he was such a great help and friendly and so inviting !!! One of the days I was there the housekeeping was short with me because I asked for 1 extra towel. I was given just one for a 3 bed room, and she said I was alone so I only get one towel. I only share this because she was very nice with everyone else who spoke Spanish when they needed things like a mop and broom . When I asked politely in Spanish for 1 extra towel. I could clearly see she was upset with me and then I tried to hide from her for the rest of my stay. I even kept the other spare beds intact, in fear of her.

There was no table in the room, not in the corridor, so that you could sit down and have lunch.

This location was one of the best ones as close to Gaudi's church n various healthy restaurants nearby. I got lost a couple of times but very easy to catch a taxi ! Bathroom was sometimes slippery, 'cuz someone took shower, stepped out with wet feet on the marble floor! Managers were aware of that, but I had to report a couple of times on this.

Even though it was a single room, soundproofing was nonexistent, people coming and going kept me awake at night.

Very very small bedroom for the price , like a shoe box, and looked like before used to be a bathroom and then make a bedroom ,

The staff was very friendly and helpful

My stay was made incredibly comfortable and stress-free, largely due to their exceptional hospitality. What truly set this hostel apart was the staff's incredible flexibility. My flight was late in the evening, and even after checking out, they went above and beyond. They graciously allowed me to comfortably wait in the lobby, use the bathroom facilities, and securely store my luggage until it was time for me to head to the airport. This invaluable service transformed what could have been a difficult, drawn-out day into a relaxed and enjoyable one. Thank you again ??

Location is good. Near the metro. They allow early checkin and can also keep the luggage. Lift is quite old. Rooms are small.
