The Ivy Hotel

I loved the staff. Everyone was polit and very professional. The hotel was beautiful. What I didn't like was that the room had torn curtains at the window, and also around the canopy. The drapes that were around the canopy bed had blood on it as well. They upgraded me to a even bigger room, I thought it was beautiful as well the only issue was the cracked glass in the shower. Overall nice place and a great experience. I suggest for you to check the entire room.

Amazing visit. We return because the hotel, the staff, the amenities are second to none. We have stayed at high end properties in Baltimore, the U.S., and in Europe and the Ivy ranks with the best of them.

Hotel was so cute and quaint. The staff was amazing and the rooms very clean and the tea time was so nice. I would rate the Ivey Hotel 100 out of 10!!!!!!

The Ivy is exquisite! I highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived, we felt noticed and welcome. Staff were always available for assistance but never intrusive. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. The attention to detail in this regard is notable. The room was nice, though, if I'm being honest, was less than expected for the price point. To be fair, there was nothing wrong with the room. It was spotlessly clean, well appointed, and fairly comfortable. However, it was small and a bit cramped. Calling it cozy would be a slight stretch. The bathroom, on the other hand, was very nice. Not quite luxurious, but very well appointed and spacious. The shower could qualify as a NYC bedroom. With that said, the rooms aren't the selling point of this place. It's the history and the charm that make the stay feel worth the price. You could get a bigger room in Baltimore, but you couldn't get the level attention anywhere else. We will be back.

The cleanliness, comfort, well adorned property, and, most of all, the outstanding staff and impeccable service they provided were top notch and made our stay incredibly enjoyable.

Simply outstanding! From arrival to departure, everything was 5 stars. This was our second time staying at this wonderful hotel. Staff greeted us with a friendly smile and a warm “welcome back.” The room (#16) was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Additionally, the included amenities throughout the hotel and in our room were top shelf/first class…no one does it better! We shall definitely return. Highly recommended.

Elevated experience.

Everything about this experience was excellent! From the valet to the concierge to the check-in person, there was a warmth and sense of pride working for and on behalf of the hotel. We have traveled the world and stayed in the best hotels, but this is by far, the best experience ever.

This is an amazing property with amazing service. Beautifully restored mansion. Elegance throughout. Over the top amenities. The perfect couples getaway location.

This was our 2nd stay, this time with a toddler. We loved our room and the room was already setup with baby stuff, including a playpen, changing table, baby toiletries, towel, robe and a plushie.

We enjoyed a marvelous dinner at Magdalena, while the concierge services and attentiveness to our requests were top-notch. The property is charming, well cared for and an architectural gem. Will be back!

It's like staying in a gilded home of your own! It's like no other hotel. Service is impeccable. No nickel and dining you and the amenities are worthy of the price. this is our second time staying at The IVY.

Super friendly staff

The service was impeccable and the breakfast was very good. Tea service was excellent. The hotel was everything to be expected of a 5 start establishment. My only suggestion would be to supply bath tub amenities such as bubble bath or salts to improve that experience.

My husband and I travel all around the world. We decided to celebrate his milestone birthday and retirement at The Ivy, which had been on our bucket list for a while. My goodness! It's the best hotel we've ever visited. If there were such a thing as a six star hotel, this would be it. The rooms, the luxurious touches, the service, the thoughtful design, the food, the ammenities--all perfection. No detail was overlooked. Everyone on the staff greeted us by name. Their car service was able to take us anywhere witinin a 3-mile radius, so we were able to valet park on arrival and not have to drive anywhere ourselves until we left. They have a no tipping policy. The room is stocked with wine, coffee, tea, local beers, sparkling water, etc. (all complimentary). They anticipated our needs and made our stay magical. We hope to return soon. The staff at this hotel really make everything come together. They remember you from past stays, greet you by name on checkin, and anticipate your needs without ever being intrusive.

Was not able to get spa treatments after reserving 2 weeks out. However, they made up for it, with the upgrade to one of the pen house suite , which was very large and excellent. I would stay here again.

Did you ever want to stay in a gilded age mansion, and believe it was your own? Well, The IVY is just the place for you! Wonderful architecture and the ambiance is superb. Come and enjoy the champagne upon arrival in the fire place room, filled with exquisite plants and a touch of African culture..then waltz down the hall way to a gorgeous little room with enormous paintings and a libation station everyone will enjoy. There is wine, bourbon, gin, and fix your own is the order of the day...then you can relax and have tea in the large and sophisticated living room complete with murals of a cosmopolitan nature...then grab an exquisite art book, in the library area, hit the couch and enjoy your drink. You can have a great game of pool in the drawing room and don't forget to enjoy the wonderful art work and gorgeous antiques along with special treasures displayed perfectly. Each resident room is a treasure, from curtains to bedding, to soothing baths and complementary wine and cheese, you will feel like a Lord of you own manor. If you feel like hitting the town, no worries you've got your own driver. Magdalena, the restaurant, is one of the best in the city. Finally, the staff is so accommodating that you begin to feel like family before your stay is over...as I was told, that is the goal to make The IVY your second home away from home. Just give it a try and I think you will agree with me that this is a definite place to visit again and again in your travels.

Magnificent in every possible way!

Simply put this was the best experience I’ve ever had staying in a hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make my daughter and I comfortable. They even left toys, set up a pack-n-play and a changing pad left a toddler sippy cup shaped like a wine glass for her. An impressive staff and beautiful building. We will definitely be back.

Hands down the best place to stay in Baltimore, whether you are visiting going to a show or a game or in the city for whatever. The staff is amazing, the public rooms amazing, High Tea amazing, Breakfast amazing and the rooms and suites AMAZING. Thank you so much everyone who made our stay so special.

This is one of the most fabulous properties I have ever visited! Top in the world, the old world style, fabulous food, and the people that work there love what they do! The only place to stay in Baltimore!

Totally idyllic two day stay at the Ivy to celebrate a birthday. Talked long time friends into joining us from five hours away and we all could not have been more pleased. Rooms were impeccably clean with unique decor and personal touches. Amenities were complimentary and plentiful. Staff was gracious and kind. So much to discover in the surrounding historic district- walks, art museums, etc but did not want to leave the comfortable surroundings and ambiance of the hotel. Like a small luxury cruise ship, not on water. Lovely!

Exceeded Expectations. My 55th Birthday was an EXPERIENCE.

The Ivy Hotel is always a pleasure and this visit did not disappoint. Room 13 might be our new favorite (all the rooms are great). Our server Linda, our trip. She was like all the stall was friendly, took the time to remember all our likes and went above and beyond - which is the standard but Linda made this trip especially great at both breakfast and tea. Hope we’re back soon. Well worth your 2 keys!!!

The hotel was nice, the staff was mostly kind. I was disappointed that they did not have gluten free options when ordering room service and I had a mild allergic reaction my first evening there even though I had provided my allergies and special diet in advance and on the day of check in. The afternoon tea was amazing and so was the breakfast. Loved the snacks and drinks that were included as well and the included car service, and included valet.

We had a great stay. Numerous amenities, a great atmosphere, excellent staff and a spotless room. We will come back.

Staying here is like visiting fancy relatives in the south. Always hospitable and looking out for all of your needs. Truely a five star stay!

From the moment we arrived, to our check out, service was excellent.

These folks understand luxury and excellent customer service. From the moment we pulled up and met the valet, I knew they were on point. The valet quickly assisted with our bags and led us to the elevator. When we stepped off, the concierge greeted us by name with a welcoming smile and offer of champagne. I could go on about all the details, but you just need to come experience it. One more bit: my wife is gluten free, and our in-room snacks were custom tailored to meet that need. On point. Also, when they say "all inclusive," they mean it. Tips are included. Alcohol is included. Snacks included. Delicious hot breakfast included. You'll gain weight while staying here, but you'll have a great time!!! If we ever need to come back to Baltimore, The Ivy will be our HQ.

I stayed here on a previous visit and felt the service was just a tad better that time. I was escorted directly to my room by the concierge and I didn't have to confirm that a reservation was made since the concierge made sure to email me in advance to let me know my request had been taken care of. The air conditioning and automatic lights in my room didn't work. But overall it was a great stay.

It was amazing

The Ivy is truly a hidden gem. This was our third stay- the second with our dog. Every time, the service is absolutely impeccable. The amenities are one-of-a-kind, including for dogs! The convenience of either having dinner at the phenomenal restaurant right downstairs, walking to a place nearby, or being driven nearby makes things so easy. Just relaxing in the parlor, reading in one of the giant beds, or using one of the luxurious baths is a delight. We will surely be back again. Shout out to James- he is amazing at what he does, friendly, and always has a smile.

The property was beautifully maintained. It was actually like a night at the museum. The staff was very engaging, professional, friendly.

This hotel is AWESOME. The service is impeccable, the food is top-notch, and you can use the car service if available. Calvin and the other female host (cannot remember her name) were So gracious. My husband had just got a new job and they made him feel special and cared for. We will be staying here again.

We did a one-day staycation here after our wedding and it was a magical experience. It is pricey but includes a top-notch breakfast, a free mix-drink station with nice liquor, and many other amenities. It's probably the nicest hotel in Baltimore (yes, the Pendry is very nice) and is also incredibly intimate. They have great attention to detail and it shows. The place is beautiful with the service to match. Also, their restaurant, Magdalena is very much worth the experience. Basically, if you can afford to come here, definitely do.

Best check in, ever. Received a tour and history of the hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms very clean and spacious and well stocked. They've thought of everything.

There is nothing that I do not like of this hotel.

I treated myself (third visit) and my sister (second visit) to a luxurious and relaxing sister-cation at the Ivy Hotel. Anytime we come here, all our stress and anxiety melt away. I am always impressed with the superb level of attention to detail and genuine warmth that the staff exhibit. They also strive to create personalized experiences for each guest. The hotel offers complimentary car service within a 3 mile radius, cocktail amenities from 12 noon to 12 midnight, a complimentary array of drinks and snacks in each room among other perks...and the homemade honey butter...don't even get me started...the staff was so kind and sent us home with a complimentary jar. The staff are so lovely, from James to Anthony to Kelvin...you are in absolutely great hands. The rooms are all unique and comfortable, and the deep soaking tubs are fabulous. This is our new favorite annual oasis escape.

This hotel is INCREDIBLE!! It is an absolutely gorgeous, beautifully restored historic property. The service is unparalleled and clearly much thought has been put into every detail. We will definitely come back.

I had a great 1-night stay at the Ivy - my only regret is that I didn't book for longer! The room was perfect, service was great. I highly recommend and cannot wait to return.

My wife and I did a one-night “stay-cation” at The Ivy over Memorial Day weekend. Everything about this hotel is fantastic: the restaurant, the afternoon tea service, the rooms, the public areas, and especially the staff. The staff are very courteous and professional without ever seeming to hover over you. A great place to stay when you find yourself in Baltimore!

The Ivy gave us a wonderful evening and the place is beautiful and just like a movie. I will most sure come again.

Luxury in the heart of Baltimore. This is our second time at the Ivy and we'll be back again! Ivy hotel is great for pictures, great for relaxation, great service, nice drinks and breakfast part of the package. This is what a 5 star hotel experience should be like!

From the greeting at the entrance, champagne while getting a tour of the grounds, fabulous breakfast down to the escort & water bottle for the road. They have thought of every intricate detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Staff could not have possibly been more hospitable! Amazing service and beautiful structure

I dined at the Magdeline, and every dish was a delight to my tastebuds. Also, I enjoyed high tea every night of my stay. High tea was beyond elegant. The staff was extremely friendly, and I felt like royalty the whole time I was there. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny. I can't wait to book my next visit to The Ivy. Cheers!!

All I can say is wow. Quite an amazing boutique hotel experience in the heart of Baltimore. They made us feel very welcome, everything included with the experience was the highest quality. We will definitely come back.

We were adressed at our vehicle by name and throughout our stay. The staff was polite, knowledgeable of the property, and extremely attentive. Every minute was well thought out from champagne upon entry to a bottle of water as we exited. The property and staff exceeded our expectations.

Love the Ivy Hotel. The experience was fantastic- starting at the valet (where the valet knew my name on arrival) to being greeted with champagne as soon as we arrived to the thoughtfulness and attention to detail (they remembered our food allergies from last time) to the decor to room service and the exquisite fare to the complimentary shuttle service to …. Well I could go on and will summarize- Favorite hotel experience! I felt seen and honored as a guest.

What an amazing oasis in Baltimore! This is a first class operation that knows what service means. You pay more and feel that it is worth every bit. No tipping, breakfast and tea included, open bar, quick valet with your car at the ready. I don't think we could stay anywhere else now. We feel very spoiled. ( Next time we will make dinner reservations because the food for breakfast and tea was off the hook!)

My family and I had an incredible stay at the Ivy Hotel. I have stayed at boutique hotels before, but nothing compares to the Ivy -- gorgeous interiors with historic accents and relics, fine dining, and the best staff that made you feel right at home. We will definitely be staying again!

What a dream staying at the Ivy. The property is gorgeous and incredibly clean. Staff was a delight and very accommodating to all needs and requests. Breakfast was delicious-I will be dreaming of those pancakes. We will definitely be returning!

The hotel is beyond 1st class! From the moment you walk in, check in, and to your amazing suite, your comfort, your happiness, your peace and tranquility are all the staff care about. The property also speaks the same, very clean, extremely well decorated common area, self service bar, tea service, to in-room dining, and more. It was like being in another world!

I think this is the best hotel, bar none, in the Mid Atlantic region. Outstanding food, friendly staff and a building that gives you an idea of what being ultra rich is like.
