Red Roof Inn Baltimore

Room had a bad smell. Looks nothing like pictures online. Bugs and ants as soon as we walked in the room. Waited a hour to get checked in because nobody was at front desk. Covers had burnt marks in them. Do not recommended if I could get my money back I would!!

The property was filthy the bedding had burn holes on the comforters the sheets had stain on them the toilet would not flush they didn't clean up the trash cans outside it was dirty I want my money back

The only problem i had with this hotel was that the dead bolt on my room door was broke. But the room was clean and i didnt have any other problems. I will stay again but the room door needs to be fixed

So I have had the opportunity to be a guest here at the Red Roof Inn in Woodlawn Maryland we're about the last four or five months. Although the majority of my stays has been pleasant and I really haven't had too many issues, there is one issue that is truly bothering me. The sole purpose of me writing this review is not to get anyone in trouble or risk their employment but the purpose is to try and come to some sort of final solution to this in the bud. So what's that being said I have asked the housekeeping numerous times, over 5 times, is it please just not answer my room without me being present. Now I know that there is a language barrier but I have also asked the front desk employees to relay the same message. Everything was going okay for a little while but then about a month ago I come in my room and it had been "tidied up" meaning they had changed my top cover the top two pillowcases along with the trash cans and that was it so the bare minimum which is an issue if I hadn't asked them about to come in my room when I was not present and they did that anyways or if they have not touched my wallet have all of my cards sitting out but now we're missing so I'll let that go but for the last 3 weeks I have found them coming in my room doing their version of a cleaning while I am not here. And if I didn't know any better in my opinion they are waiting for me to leave and coming into my room and they have no reason to I have my own cleaning supplies room etc. Well the day be

This hotel really needs to work on their housekeeping. I worked in hotels for 13 years and I know when I got a hotel room that was used by construction workers. Very disgusting bathroom and debris/HAIR all over the place. The main door to my hotel room had a crack in it so big that I know roaches and ants can get through. For the price I think it was a little too much. The front desk guy was really cool, but other than that, the hotel is Nasty.

We had to go buy sheets and a comforter at Walmart cause the ones on the bed were terrible. The place stunk and just overall trashy. Def not worth the $

Our stay was horrible. We had trouble straight from the get go. They wouldn't accept my fiancées debit card for payment until I called hotels.com and got them to sort it out. The room was supposed to be non smoking but stunk of smoke and was dirty. The toilet backed up and when I called the front desk to have maintenance come and fix it they made me have to walk to the front desk and they handed me a used dirty plunger and i had to walk back to our room and plunge the toilet myself. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Room was extremely dirty with cockroaches, dirt and grime. Bed linens were filthy with cigarette burns. Smoke detector was on the dresser with no batteries in it. Bathroom was very dirty with a used bar of soap still in the shower.

Toilet was stopped up and I didn’t have a coffee maker in my room. Customer service at the help desk was nowhere to be found for about 20mins.

I only spent one night and checked out. I’m still waiting for my refund. I contacted you and told you how bad it was and checked into super 8. Please investigate asap

This facility appeared to be a place where unsavory activities are occurring. Multiple people were loitering on almost every floor / landing. You could smell pot on the landing around the 4th floor where our room was. The bed linens had multiple burn holes in the sheets. The refrigerator was filthy. The one and only really clean area appeared to be the bath tub. The chair arm appeared to have been destroyed by claws or chewed.

It was not the worst stay, but when I pulled in front of my room, there was a huge trash bag outside of my door which was not moved until the he next morning. I enter the room, there is a pair of dirty socks on top of the closet cubby and one of the beds had very visible burn marks in the sheets and blanket. Later that night, while under the covers, I felt a scratch and discovered a piece of glass was under the sheets. I stayed for from Friday till Monday morning. There was intermittent taps coming from bathroom. Still unsure where it was coming from… it freaked me out because it didn’t sound like plumbing issues and the taps seemed to move around in there and stop when I would get up to see if I could locate the source. If it’s what I am thinking, it is not the property’s fault… lol… Getting dressed for an 11:00 check out, I was interrupted shortly after 10 by housekeeping. IT’S NOT CHECK OUT TIME! I paid till 11, so what’s with the hour early knocking? My advice, is to tighten up on the cleanliness so that people like me don’t have to do it ourselves and if you’re gonna have housekeeping start early, they should be looking out for glass in the bed and dirty socks on top of the cubby. Again, not a horrible stay, but not the best either.

The bed and bathroom were gross. The bed was made worth dirty linen in both rooms I was placed in. My child and i wind up sharing a bed and I didn't get what i paid for..SLEEP

It was good. The room was on the first floor and had everything we needed except internet. I tried and tried but couldn't get online at Red Roof. There was a shooting the first night with cops all over the hotel. Made the news the next morning that two people were shot. That was the first night, the other two nights were unexceptional. We will come back again next year for the same craft show.

AC was not working properly, and there was lot of noise making by other people around at the midnight.

The hotel attendant didn’t give me the room they advertised on the site. My room was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke burning my nose. And the decor was real deserted dessert like.

I reserved 2 rooms, they were both dirty. Floors hadn’t been swept, there was used soap in the bathrooms, the fridge was nasty. There were stains on the sheets. The cable didn’t work.

As usual, everything I reserve through a third party is not available upon my arrival. My 88 year old mother and I are always placed on the 2nd floor with no elevators. So I had to settle for a smoking room in order to get a 2 bed on the first floor.

Huge party on the outside balcony outside my room the first night at 1 am complete with fights, loud music, smoking dope and lots of yelling. No one from mgmt came to do anything about it. Lots of people loitering around, felt very unsafe.

For a night in the hotel dur to no water in my house. This is the last placed i should have booked. The walls were dirty, a lighter from the last guest was left behind in the room. There was no toilet paper in the room when i checked in. The room smelled as if someone sat there and smoked a entire pack of cigarettes. I asked housekeeping for an extra towel and was told no. I will not go back.

the room was dark one little lamp for light in the place. the only overhead light was right above the window. the only way we could have light to see was to keep the curtains open and anyone that walked by could see in the room. the room was just not clean either. the ceiling looked like it had black mold on it & could fall in at any moment. the coffee pot & ice bucket were beyond gross. The room was just dirty & the dresser had lord knows what in the drawer. The hotel makes you pay at check in & if that's not bad enough they also make you sign a form that states you will not be able to change rooms or get a refund if you are in the room for more than 15 minutes or if you do anything in the room, sit on the bed, use the bathroom. nowhere to put your bags either. one broken office chair one other chair. We were in town for 2 nights due to the festival we were attending. then to top it all off, the hotel called us while we were out for the day wanting us to come in to pay for the next night & remove our personal belongings from the room so they could Ha, Ha, clean the room. they claim there is complimentary coffee in the lobby. there was nothing! guest laundry was out of order. ice machine was "turned off for the winter" bottom line we do NOT recommend this place nor will we EVER stay there again. Mind you, I've stayed at Red Roof inns in the past, they had always been a simple but very clean hotel. Not this place! NEVER AGAIN! I took pictures too, but no way to post them.

Our stay here was just fine. We were only staying for one night and the room was completely suitable for our needs. The only issue we had was the room smelled fairly smokey despite being a nonsmoking room. Otherwise it’s a great location and a decent room.

We ended up getting a refund & leaving after 10 min in our room . The floors were dirty & sticky . The bed had hard crusty stains. Room smelled terrible , furniture was dirty . I think people live at the hotel . The front desk man was wonderful & understanding

The rooms were very old, the curtains, bed linens, coffee pot, no hangers, metal box bed frame, daylight and cold air pouring in under the door. The only thing.that was updated and clean was the bathroom..... not a very comfortable stay for the price..

I paid $80 for staying 4 hours! I stay at this motel every week! but now I will find a new motel. the staff is not friendly! especially reddy!

The lobby smells horrible, like rotten eggs and boiled garbage. The room also smelled musty. The bathroom needs an overhaul; the shower head was loose in the wall, paint crumbling and cracking all around the top of the shower... along with the built-in soap dishes in the shower all broken up.

Dirty walls, bath tub walls has old plastic backing that looks awful. Was not a pleasant stay and people having a argument outside my door at 3 Am. My stay was for business and not pleasure.

I was a little disappointed with the breakfast selection. It was very little food available. I came very early when the door was opened, and they had very little food to offer.

The hotel was clean and old. The hotel staff were nice but they did not speak very much english so communication was a little rough. My only complaint is that they had a band on Saturday so the noise from the band was loud and made it a little hard to sleep until they finished up. We were visiting family so we knew we would not be in the room very much so it was an ok place to sleep.

The hotel has recently been remodeled nicely and appears to be family owned and operated. Our group was pleasantly surprised with the condition and appearance of cleanliness of the rooms and facility. We did, however, find dead and live roaches once we settled into our rooms. Other than that discovery, we enjoyed our stay.

I was very disappointed with my stay here to say the least. The room was dirty, the bathtub was not cleaned out, there was a bag of old moldy potatoes left in the dresser, the room was suppose to be non smoking but you could clearly smell smoke in the room and there were cigarette ashes on the floor, the beds were definitely NOT queen size and were very uncomfortable, the staff was rude to my husband and myself at checkin and the "free breakfast" was so bad! I've stayed at plenty hotels over the years, this one was the worst. They offered only fruit loops with milk and white bread for toast, absolutely nothing else! When I asked the breakfast attendant on staff who was sitting there watching tv if anything else would be going out, she looked at me like I was crazy and said "this is it." I picked this hotel to stay at in the area just because it had offered a free continental breakfast and many other hotels in the area did not. I wish I went ahead and booked somewhere else because this hotel was awful! Never will stay here again when I'm back in the area.

The check in was quick and easy. I have no complaint about house keeping, I was pleased with my stay. I have already a three night stay for the Memorial Day weekend.

No one is going to call this motel luxury or rave about its surroundings in a commercial strip right off an interstate. But if you're looking for a clean, newly-renovated room with friendly staff for a good rate, this is where to stay. I was particularly happy to see no carpets (floor is some sort of woodgrain laminate) because it's often the carpets that seem the most skeevy in motels/hotels. The bed was firm, the bathroom was clean, and the man at the front desk was helpful. I'd ask that all of the folks behind the front desk at least acknowledge a guest when they walk in, instead of waiting for the designated greeter to emerge.

This really wasn't in Baltimore, really Owings Mills. It was a distance from where I needed to be.

I was very disappointed when we arrived at this Days Inn. We had a wonderful but late evening, but when we arrived to check in, before we even were able to get inside the building we were harassed by two sketchy men hanging out in the poorly lit parking lot begging us for money. They do not have good lighting in the parking lot or good security, then when we got inside the check in area, the front desk clerk on duty had clocked out and was standing around, and we had to wait almost 30 minutes before we could even check in. Then the clerk that was taking over the shift, finally showed up and when he was checking is in, he never asked us any questions, or verified how we wanted to pay. He authorized a transaction on the card we used to reserve the room online, but we wanted to pay cash for the room. We tried to explain that to him three times and he didn’t get it. Then after all of this the room they gave us would not open with the keys they gave us. We had to drive back around the building again just to have to get a whole another room. This was the worst hotel experience of our lives.

Asked the front desk guy what to do around the area and he had absolutely no idea. Wasn’t expecting much from this hotel but the least it can do is be clean. I would rather spend $20/$30 extra dollars on a real hotel and not possibly get a disease from this hotel.
