If I could give this property a negative review I would. We came down to Bakersfield for my nephews school to honor him at graduation. He was murdered at 15 years old and the high school he was attending let the family accept his diploma for him. So emotions were already high because of what we were dealing with. The First Lady with the colorful hair was so nice and helpful, but then the general manager Maritza came on and she treated us as if we were the scum of the earth. Every little thing she complained about to make our stay horrible. My sister had her service animal for her narcolepsy plus emotional support from her son being murdered and Maritza was so inconsiderate. She told her the dog was not a real service dog and that she had to pay for her. Not only that but she was having problems with her card so I used mine for her deposit. Without even asking Maritza added a pet fee to my payment. I did not authorize her to charge me for the pet fee only the down payment and she told me I had no other option which is so unprofessional. We also had 5 kids between the 2 of us and she said we had a noise complaint at 11/12 pm which is a lie because i know we were asleep before 11:30. There was a dead roach in my room and I giant one walking the hallways. The bed sheets kept coming off the bed so the bare mattress kept coming out which is disgusting. This is not a family friendly place and Maritza made our stay horrible! She should be restrained on how to treat people.

No I'm super upset, I had to check in almost 2days late because of flight delay then my $100 deposit was not returned to me and I had to check out at 3a.m I did not leave room broken or smoked in my room and nor did I take anything in fact left more behind,spa didn't work bathtub wasn't holding water and now my $100 deposit I don't get after having no discount or refund for days I did not stay

The fact that the room had a sofa bed Unfortunately we came across a big cockroach at the table when we were trying to have some dinner

No recomiendo el desayuno, el horario de es de 6.30 a 9.00 y en su mayoría solo es pan, a las instalaciones les falta mantenimiento, los cuarto no tiene antiruido, el baño no tenía jabón para bañarse, y creo que la peor parte es que cualquiera puede subir a los ascensores porque no hay ningún control de quien entra al hotel, ni a las habitaciones porque el ascensor esta abierto a que subas al que quieras. Se que ponen buenas promociones pero a que costo a que el lugar no sea un lugar seguro

The toilet seat was loose and the handicap grab bars should have use chrome mount plate covers to hide the drywall screws. Maintenance should have used stainless steel screws. Just a suggestion

The jetted tub was wonderful to refresh after a long drive. The staff was friendly, and they served a decent breakfast. The location is very close to the freeway and has many nice places to eat. Great stay for a night on a road trip. The building is a bit older and looks rundown. It is obvious that they are doing what they can to keep the property in good condition.

Disappointing

It didn't feel safe parking there. The last at the counter told me where to park so it was covered by cameras. The bedsheets had stains on them and then they charged us 30 dollars after we left for two towels that had some make up on them. Not a great experience. Never again.

I've never had a problem with Ramada inn Bakersfield. I stay there at least once a month. But everything went wrong this time around. Big roaches were everywhere. The air conditioning did not work. And the room next door opened the adjacent door at about midnight. They could not put me in another room because they were all booked up. It was way to hot to sleep even after taking a cold shower at 10 pm. I had to leave and sleep in my van.

The room was sizable and immaculately clean, but not in a sterile way that is unwelcoming. The whole hotel had a comfy lived in vibe. There were kids and families walking to and from the pool, sharing laughs and making memories. Did I mention the coffee? It was amazing.

My family and I didn’t stay not one night. The rooms smell really bad. The pool was dirty and it smell awful. The Gym smells awful and some of the machines didn’t work. I had to booked somewhere elsewhere. I been a valuable customer with hotel.com. I would appreciate to get a refund for my two rooms, since I had to booked somewhere elsewhere.

Very quiet. Asked for a ground floor room and got one near the front door. In spite of the extreme traffic noise outside, we could not hear any of it inside. Breakfast was okay. I wish these places would provide a decent tea bag: all they ever have is Lipton, which is so acidic it bothers my stomach. I have to bring my own when traveling. Also no honey.

Bed was nice. However, bathroom counter top wasn’t cleaned before our arrival and my wife literally stepped on and smashed a gigantic cockroach when she got up to go to the bathroom. It was disgusting! Parking was fine and breakfast was good. The staff was great! Building a little run down but good enough for a quick stay. Hot tub and pool looked nice but we didn’t get a chance to try either. Overall, not bad for under $80.

Really good breakfast. Check in easy and staff super friendly. Decent location with good easy parking. Clean but quite industrial looking. Felt safe. Rooms spacious. Pool area looked okay. Large gap under the doors which meant you could hear alot. We didn’t sleep much due to next doors activities which kept waking us up - rooms are not sound proof. Someone bought their huge dog which was dribbling in the lobby on the carpet for a while which was a bit disgusting. Gym was very poor, treadmill didn’t work and there wasn’t much else in there. Wouldn’t recommend booking if you are looking for a hotel with a fitness centre.

I never checked in. When I arrived, there were transients in the parking lot. As I approached the front door there were two more looking in the trash can. I came in and expressed my concern. The front desk representative told me they were fine they were just looking for food or cigarettes. I did not feel safe as I had to leave again for dinner and leave early in the morning and the element around the hotel did not support those activities. I was worried about my vehicle and would feel trapped in my room to be safe. Of course they would not refund me since I booked through Expedia. I opted to lose the amount I paid and move to a different hotel for my safety concerns.

The staff was very friendly and the room was really clean. The front desk was really great also, they called after I checked in just to make sure everything was alright and that I didn't need anything.

The room was good for the value - it would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room. The room wasn't well insulated, so things were pretty noisy at times. The staff was very friendly and responsive.

Location is centralized, front desk staff was friendly Our “non-smoking” room reeked of heavy cigarette smoke, so much so that our clothes smelled like it too and we’re not even smokers! The room was muggy and dirty. We had to request fresh bedding because there was all kinds of hair on the pillows and sheets that were already placed on the bed

The hotel room was nice a roomy for a 1 bedroom. Couch, mini fridge, microwave, a/c, tv and even a little closet to hang your clothes. I traveled out here from Fresno for work and may I say, it was indeed pleasant. The staff was nice and friendly. Quick pre check in. Definitely would recommend staying here while traveling.

The bed was so lumpy I could barely sleep. The room was dirty, including used contacts on the ground. There was a roach in the shower. When I tried to leave the lobby doors wouldn’t open and the front desk agent said “oh ya they’re broken sometimes they don’t open”

They robbed me of three nights prior hundred dollar deposit claiming that I damaged property with a mark in the bathroom that I want proof it wasn’t there before I was to their claiming I damaged sheets and charging $100 when they were just dirty not damaged my kids are homeless I got homeless assistance to pay for the hotel room for three nightsMy homeless assistance was never refunded with no explanation. Other than them claiming their damaged property that was only dirty me and my kids sleep in my car. I keep getting emails stating to review the property after each night that I did not get to stay in my room because I didn’t have $200 cash deposit for three units that I already paid for.

Only a few sheets were dirty, which I didn’t know we couldn’t get anything dirty. How would I wash them myself,Don’t they have to wash the sheets anyway too I was accused of putting a hole industrial called Door #, which it had a mark on the wall that was already there in broom for 21 to the point where they wanted a $200 deposit after already getting the 400 something plus $900 deposit they didn’t notify me of any of this and then I post another three nights with Expedia, which was almost $300. I was trying to get a refund which it would’ve charged me 180 for a refund so I tried to come up with the $200 cash so we could stay because I’m homeless and with my four kids it took me hours literally like 5 to 6 hours to where I finally got someone to see if they can refund it and they ended up taking all my money now me and my kids are in my car. I hate this place after spending so much money in there.

The jacuzzi was not working and the pool water was freezing.

We opened the restroom of the room and checked that bathtub it wasn’t cleaned, we found a black T-shirt that was by the tv stand , also when we tried to use the tv it would not turn. Laslty the mini fridge unfortunately did not work. but bed was clean and comfortable new towels as well and provided soap and shampoo , spacious room with couch and table as well .

cons- the window shades are very old and a lot of light gets through it. The Polish clothes that's why I came here. The weight room is very very small with one machine of weights but no cardio is working. Staff is somewhat nice

And no one bothered to notify us when we checked in that the water was off. straight scam. The clerk at the desk told us to use the restroom at the gas station across the street. One of the worst hotel stays. The room was smelling of paint or some chemical. Ambience was odd. Breakfast was crowded and finished lot earlier than 9 am specified. OVerall for the price this was a very bad stay and not recommended at all.

I watched the housekeeper mop the floor in the breakfast area and she was patient and methodical. Again, spotless! I can say, very honestly, they get a 5-star rating from me.

The room was very nice for the price and the staff was very kind. Overall a nice stay. The jet tub was very relaxing and just what I needed after a long day of driving. The room could have been cleaner, particularly the bed skirts and underneath the furniture- stuff you probably only notice if you drop things as often as I do haha. I'd stay here again anyway.

Despite showing photos and explaining the situation, management refused to issue a refund, only offering a discounted future stay—which doesn’t help since we were traveling and don’t live in the area. It could have been all excellent but the tub’s caulking. The caulking on the bottom around the tub needs to be replace.

The hotel was easy to find. It is right next to a Sizzler, so a great option for dinner. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was big, but some features needed updating. The pool looked inviting. I wish the breakfast had more options. I got there about 1/2 an hour before they closed and things looked picked over. Refilling the trays or even asking if there was anything else I wanted would have been nice.

Parking was easy

Everything was generally fine. Only minor complaints were the shower head hardly produced any water as it was clogged with minerals and the black out curtain in the room did little to stop the light coming into the room from the security light outside.

Bedspread and sheets had visible bloodstains. Hotel room had no hot water for the entire stay. I took cold showers the entire time.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and our needs were met. The seasonal decor made the lobby look so inviting.

Hotel is older and somewhat tired, but the room was large and well appointed. Comfortable bed. The main problem was the air conditioning. The room was hot when we arrived at 5:30 pm and did not become somewhat comfortable until after midnight. Very old AC unit that barely put out air. As soon as the sun came up in the morning, the room started heating up again, even with curtains closed.

This is one of those places where you get what you pay for. I needed a room for one night, knowing I would get in late and just need a shower and a bed. Being on a budget, this was a great find. The staff there were great! The woman that checked us in was very kind and professional and checked us in very quickly, especially considering I already did the pre-chedk in. The woman running the breakfast was also very kind and took care of us and well as everyone else in the room. She kept everything stocked and the room was very clean.

If you’re trying to compare this to any type of Hilton property, than this is a two star in my opinion

Eventhough its by the freeway there was not much noise. We have stayed here several times because of the service, location and affordability.

A nice clean efficient hotel. The staff is great and know me by name. I pre check in and everything is ready for me. 2 seconds to hand me the room key and paperwork. I like that the rooms all are interior hallways. It has a small snack shop, a work out room, a pool and jaccuzi. Free breakfast too. For the money this is my go to place. Go tv reception and mini fridge. Walk to Sizzler and McDonalds.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! But I would highly recommend for them to stop using plastic toiletries for their guests. Most hotels have stopped giving these to their guests and it is a great way to become more environmentally friendly!

Rundown and not the nicest outside. People were sleeping in cars. The hotel was somewhat clean. Furniture has dents and missing paint and chips.

Booked this hotel last minute as I was driving to San Francisco and needed a spot to sleep for the night. It was such a great value for the price I paid and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Made checkin super easy and my quick overnight stop seamless and restful.

We took a nice little weekend trip and it was a good room for just the two of us! Close to freeway and breakfast not the best. Room was fine for us though!

Our experience was not so good. First day we arrive to the hotel. Front desk girl was not friendly. She looks like she had a tough day and short with us. When we got into our room. It smell unpleasant odors. We look around make sure everything was okay. AC is old and not working properly. Details of cleanness were not good. My youngest found cockroach in the bathtub and strand of hair. Not impressed.

This is a nice clean hotel with a good breakfast. It is good for travelers. The first non smoking room we were given had obviously been smoked in, but the staff quickly moved us and bad behavior by previous guests is not their fault.

My room was dirty. Soiled towels were left behind in my bathroom, I only had 1 roll of toilet paper that was already used halfway through. My tissue box was empty. Hair & food crumbs/scraps were on the table & night stand. House keeping was visibly annoyed & irritated that I called the front desk to please request new clean towel for myself to use during my stay. I expected so much better from the Ramada. This was not a good experience for me, I booked a stay out of necessity due to a family emergency. I do not recommend this hotel for a stay, Hotel management needs to be more on top of making sure the hotel rooms are actually cleaned before allowing guests to check into their reserved rooms.

Spotted one homeless person at the parking right in front of the entrance and he approached to everyone including me.

We always stay here and it’s nice, but this time there was man trespassing into breakfast area, and also we found a huge cockroach in our room, otherwise we love this place

Bed Bugs 🐞

It was great for the price. The room was clean, and everything worked. Only one thing that could be improved was the condition of the air conditioning unit. It was functioning but clearly very old and had a bit of a smell.. maybe a moldy smell. Other than that it was perfect.

The employees were kind, however the room didn’t look very clean. Specially the bathroom. I REQUESTED a room that was quiet and got totally the opposite.

The location itself is average. The room we stayed was in need of repairs. The sheets on my King bed had hair on every layer of bedding. Bedind the bed the box spring was filthy with hair and crumbs of all sorts. Since there was only one person working that evening I had to walk down and get extra bedding and change them myself which is why I noticed the filth on the box springs. The pullout sofa bed was also filthy and had little black specs of what I think were droppings. I also changed the bedding on that bed. The two sets of bedding I received which was supposed to be CLEAN had stains on them. Front desk girl came up and took pics and brought more bedding. The AC unit was not working to its capacity. Literally had to leave the AC all night long to cool the place. The bathroom had water damage and cracks on the base of tub. Will never stay here again.

Very nice hotel with great breakfast, the surrounding area was rough, but it was great to rest our heads late in the evening and eat breakfast and continue on our journey.

Simply dirty. So uncomfortable throughout the entire stay. (Sat-Mon) maids did not clean the room even though I did not leave “do not disturb” door hanger. So disappointed. Woke up on Monday to a giant roach in the bathtub. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Comfortable room, good beds. Overwhelming fragrance in the lobby and hallway gave me headaches.

For a 4 day stay, no closet limited space to hang clothes

I told the desk help that my room needs a deep cleaning over and over. This place was not only disgusting in my room it was GROSS in more ways than 1. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. See the 100 pictures I took. I also have been having breathing difficulties and had to use my nebulizer many times. Hotels.com couldn’t or wouldn’t change hotels for me. This place was a dump. Wouldn’t let me add all the pictures but you get the picture.

Fair condition for a fair price

Loud guests yelling and blasting music in the halls past 1am, slamming doors. Hotel refurbishments look like they went to the lowest bidder. Room was nice, but bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was good.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the pool area was dirty. My son & I went at opening time for the pool & several items of trash were rolling around pool area. The jacuzzi tiles were beyond gross. Didnt look like it had been cleaned in a long time. We wouldnt return to this hotel.

The outside of the property is a little deceiving because it's a bit shabby in need of some TLC and the area is a bit run down. However, the inside was pleasant, clean and the Firestone Grill is right next door, you couldn't have asked for a better place to be next to.

Not enough hot water

Very dirty and run down. When I pulled back the covers there was Black hair in the sheets. The floors and bathroom were also dirty. The front desk staff was nice but this hotel is disgusting.

The room had 2 double beds and a hideaway bed in the couch so a nice setup for larger groups.

Clean room was great, but a little small compared to the image online. Bathroom sink area needs shelves for more counter space. Comforter was like a thin styrofoam and bed was squeaky. Staff is great!
