Hyatt Place Bakersfield

The hotel was just like any other Hyatt Place as it's clean and the beds are comfy. Breakfast was great and the hotel is right next to all kinds of restaurants and even an Albertsons and Trader Joe's, which came in handy.

Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious and well stocked breakfast buffet. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Safe location with plenty of parking. Close to lots of shopping and dining options. Will definitely stay here again.

The AC is so loud it is impossible to sleep. With the AC off the room is very hot. Why charge $10 to park in a large empty parking lot? No one comes to Bakersfield without a car. If you need more money raise the room rate $10.

Huge, clean room. Comfy beds. Delicious breakfast. Friendliest staff at any hotel I gave ever stayed at. It wasn't just one employee. It was check in, breakfast, check out, everyone. Only down side is the pet fee is $100.

Bathroom mirror is so recessed you can't see yourself. The room also lacks mirrors. The elevators and hall in front fo the elevators need HVAC vents. The room is also a little dark. But this could be the best place to stay in Bakersfield so these sort fo things should be overlooked.

The place was so rundown, the room has no sound proof , it was so noisy that I could hear every footsteps from upstairs. Thanks worst hotel ever

The night staff at the front desk was the best! She was friendly and punctual. The place was clean and breakfast was good. The bathroom shower however needs a remodel. It was old, moldy, and an eye sore.

Location. Friendly Linen-in-charge staff Old furnitures; no microwave like most hotels of same level hotel and same rate have; broken appliances (coffee maker); requested front desk to have someone come to fix, no one came during our whole 5 day stay. Front desk staff not friendly and unwelcoming.

Thank you to the staff who assisted me and held my reservation for me when my flight was delayed and I couldn’t get in to Bakersfield until the following morning. In context, I did call the same evening I found out my flight was delayed. The staff member I spoke with verified my info and paying card number to hold my reservation. Thank you again.

I loved everything about this property. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The place was so clean. The best part was they had a free breakfast bar, and as a mom of 2 little ones, that breakfast bar was a life saver. I will most definitely book again on my next family trip.

There trash in the hallway as you exit the elevator, so many scuff marks on the wall, paint missing, exit sign on floor falling off...the room was not clean, shower door was dirty and looks to be grime inside. The elevator floor was dirty, the hallway had a fan in it as soon as you get off the elevator as if the hotel AC/air flow was not working....it was very poor quality for newer hotel...felt very ghetto.

Our rooms WiFi wasn’t working properly and we were unable to watch tv. We tried to reboot it but it didn’t work and were told no one was on site to help. Our room was located above a generator unit which was very loud. Fortunately we weren’t in our room often.

Everything was super clean in the staff was really nice. The ladies that welcome us when we came in were amazing!

When I booked the hotel, it was stated that the parking was free, but when I arrived and checked in, I was charged 10 dollars . Price is too high for this . Smell not good at room

How well we slept

the rooms are very clean and spacious, the staff were very friendly and welcoming the check in progress was very fast as well as check out,we actually made it to breakfast which ended at 10 but there was still plenty of food and choices to choose from eggs, sausage french toast sticks and hash browns and a variety of salsa and fruit salad as well as yogurt and oatmeal

The rooms very tidy and nice, the mattresses a bit too soft for our taste. Breakfast was included but not very good. They also charge parking - it's just $10 but it seems odd for a location in the middle of nowhere. I expect to pay parking in a place like Anaheim near Disneyland or Las Vegas, but Bakersfield? Some staff was very rude, and the parking fee is a bit of an annoyance.

The best thing about the hotel was the morning breakfast. The hotel was pretty clean. The downsides were. They didn’t have coffee throughout the day only during breakfast time Bakersfield gets very hot and there was no shaded areas at the pool the pool area was also very small.They had no umbrellas the outside area in the front of the hotel, they have a sitting area and there are absolutely no shaded areas or umbrellas. The rooms were pretty small.

We asked the housekeepers to change our sheets while we were away from our room. This was around noon. When we returned around 8 pm the sheets were not changed. We then notified the front desk who said they would have someone bring the sheets up but never did.

The rooms were large and clean. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well! The bartender Q, was so fun and friendly and makes great drinks. The continental breakfast was great! Nothing to complain about except that there were no pool towels out when we went to swim.

Additionally, the shower showed significant signs of mold, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. While the lobby and common areas appear well-maintained and visually appealing (except the chair and sofas they look dirty), the condition of the rooms does not reflect the same standard. I believe management should invest more resources into maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms.

I liked everything about this hotel. I do wanna mention that the front desk overnight lady from my first night was amazing.

The location was perfect. At first glance the room appeared clean. They messed up and canceled my reservation. Upon arrival I was exhausted and had to deal with them fixing it. Then upon staying in the room found the previous occupants dirty sock. Trash from McDonald’s as well as a lot of food crumbs. They’d fix my bed but wouldn’t touch my son’s. Wouldn’t restock coffee station. Will not stay again. Loud and noisy. Couldn’t sleep.

Location was convenient. Staff was possibly understaffed as some were very direct and rude. One even reprimanded me for getting two breakfast items with same tongs. I get it, however they were very rude about it. Carpet smelled dank. Additionally, the second night there were loud teenagers running up and down the hallway and barking dogs till 4 a.m.. We got no sleep at all the second night. I reported the events going on, however they said they had no staff to monitor and they would look into it. It went on pretty all night long. Will not be saying at that location again.

The wheels on the luggage cart were so wobbly it was hard to push.

The rooms are not well soundproofed. After a long day of traveling, I was really hoping for a full night of sleep, but was woken up by loud talking and laughing around 4am, followed by music around 6am. The phone in the room was not connected, so there was no way to contact the front desk, which made the situation more frustrating. The bathroom door also did not fully close or lock.The staff were very nice, and the breakfast was good, but the noise and room issues made it difficult to have a restful stay.

Nice staff and easy check-in. Location was great for a one night stop with Trader Joe’s and restaurants across the street. Also a great dog park a very short walk away so that was a massive bonus while traveling with our dog. Nothing really!

Breakfast was very disappointing and poor quality. Watered down eggs cut into squares served in an old pot. Food Server was rude to several customers. Very disappointing meal.

The Staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. I had a room with a King bed, sofa sectional, desk, chair, etc. It was a lovely, spacious room. I was only there for one night, but the complimentary breakfast is a total home-run. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, whole fruit, fruit salad, french toast, coffee and juices - and FREE! I grew up in Bakersfield and still have a few friends who live there. I will definitely stay here again the next time I pass through town.

The location is perfect. There are many restaurants nearby, and Trader Joe’s is right across the street which was very convenient. The room itself was decent and comfortable for the stay.

Rooms were clean and roomy. Fit my fam of 5 that includes 2 teenagers perfectly. Workout room was nice and roomy with lots of equipment to use We did not use the pool because it was cold during our stay, but from our view, it looked like there may have been roaches in it. The breakfast was just OK. Nothing too crazy about it. One day they offered pancakes, which I'm pretty sure were microwave pancakes, and they were pretty hard. There was one lady who works only in the morning in the breakfast area and she was always super rude/non-welcoming or kind. At one point her and a guest got into it, even though the guest was in the wrong. I'm sure it could've been handled differently.

Check-in was very quick. Evening front desk folks were efficient. Got to the room and problems began. Tv wasn’t working, phone was disconnected, noticed that we were given a used bed where the linen was not changed (added photos of how it looked the moment the sheets were pulled to get into bed. When I informed the front desk, Reyna came herself to help out as there was no maintenance or housekeeping staff onsite to do the needful. The King bed we had, did not have any king size pillows on it, the comforter she got did not have a cover and she really didn’t know what she was doing when making the bed with fresh linen.Bathroom door didn’t have a stopper and kept closing on its own which was pretty annoying. There was nobody to assist or tend to guests during the breakfast hours and the front desk person had to be contacted again just to get some boiled eggs which I must say he mad and provided himself. Not really what is expected of a 3 star hotel like Hyatt Place.

This facility is fairly new and the staff was wonderful! The complimentary breakfast was great, in that all the guests were enjoying their meals. The room was spacious and very clean. The reason for the rating was for what was lacking. Our room had maybe a couple of electrical outlets and NO outlets for charging our phones. None by the beds.

Traveled with family including 2 toddlers and a child. Beware of operation manager amber the most inhuman, rude, insensitive person that I have ever met in my life. Be careful with their elevators malfunction, we were stuck inside the elevator for 1 hour. Emergency bottom did not work had to call the hotel directly from our cell phone in order to let them know we were stuck in the elevator on the 3rd floor, no one knew of the situation until we made that call. We had to call 911 because they couldn’t help us out. The most traumatic experience ever. little to no air babies sweating, crying, my daughter in panic mode and crying, family members entering anxiety stage. My legs shaking to the point of passing out. Firefighters managed to get us out an hour later. Upon exiting the elevator the manager never once asked if we were ok if the kids were ok, if we needed anything, a least a cup of water nothing what’s so ever. What did she do just stand there with no care in the world just starring at us like we were some kind of animals. This person not only degraded us but accused us of being over weight and blamed us for elevator malfunction and responded with, well next time don’t over fill my elevator after I expressed she needed to be a kinder person. The room was clean and very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was terrible. The eggs had a greenish/gray tint and the sausage was stiff and cold. I recommend toning that up a bit. Very friendly staff and lobby was exceptionally clean.

I came home to Bakersfield from Florida for a family funeral. The facility was clean, and it was an enjoyable stay. The staff were WONDERFUL!!! I felt so welcome and had great conversation with the front desk and cleaning personnel. Breakfast was great!

The staff was amazing! It was a lil disappointing seeing that this was a new hotel, but was not clean and you could tell already ran down. There is not a lot of nice hotels to stay at in Bakersfield I was hoping this one would stay nice.

We weren’t here long but the property was clean and updated. Breakfast was pretty good, what you’d typically expect at a hotel.

Parking was easy and secure. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There is a restaurant/bar. Dinner was fabulous. Room was clean and comfortable. Fitness room provided a wide variety of Life Fitness equipment in great shape. Definitely recommend

The bathroom in 214 is dangerous and I’m surprised they rented this room with such a dangerous transfer chair in the shower, and broken tile. The housekeeper does not wipe the toothpaste off the wallpaper or dust the vanity legs either. Not sure why they put ice in the milk and have only creamer in plastic single servings considering they have ceramic ware.

The room was very comfortable and mostly clean. The large lamp over the sofa needed dusting and there was only one tiny trash can for the entire room. The staff were all very warm and friendly.

Breakfast was great except for the pancakes. Other hotels have the do it yourself pancake or waffle making machine. That would make this hotel 10/10. The pancakes served were tough and bad tasting.

The staff is very helpful, especially the front desk on Saturday night. The bar in the lobby was an added perk. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We travel with my dog and definitely felt that the hotel is pet friendly.

I was worried about staying in Bakersfield. This area was so nice and the hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff was nice, the room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good and we would definitely stay here again if we were passing through.

There was a big issue with the hot water, there was an area of the room that the carpet was wet and we don’t know why, there was a ton of mold in the shower and a botched job of try to re-caulk and fix the shower there was pieces falling off when you take a shower.

Staff is untrained to handle pressure and Manager in charge guide me wrong, downgrade my room and experience by her own decision ,and never communicate anything. Morning buffet is looks like someone cooking untrained and they thrown the food and leave choice on you WHEATHER you eat or leave up to you. Follow up is looks like ruling no apology.Wow . The staff was friendly, the room smelled a little strange but was pretty clean, there were no pool towels at the pool, and my sleep was not the best, the pillows are a bit hard. In the middle of the night i was attacked by ants on the 3rd floor.

The staff was very nice. I stayed for one week and was surprised that they didn’t clean the room unless I requested it. The AC in the room did not cool very well. It was over 100 degrees outside during my stay. The AC in the laundry room didn’t work at all, it felt like a sauna, super hot!! They did have free standing fans in the room, halls and laundry room, but they were not effective. The fan in the room I was in was broken and didn’t oscillate. It was very uncomfortable.

Overall my stay was pretty good! I went with my 4 daughters and our room had enough room for us. They have big bottles of shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The pool was really nice as well. The only thing I would say that the room didn’t come with an extra blanket for the pull out couch and I’m positive I forgot my sunglasses there, so I called and they stated that there was nothing in the room. My glasses were not in any of my bags and I literally had them that morning. Hopefully they were honest about not having them. But even with that happening I did like the location and would definitely stay there again! Staff is also super nice. (:

Loved the water pressure of the shower and the height of bed was also great for me.

They made me plunge my own toilet! It wasn’t flushing correctly. Said they didn’t have maintenance available until the morning. It was that or use the lobby in the restroom. They did not discount my stay and Expedia did nothing to help resolve the issue either. It was ridiculous.

This place is so conveniently close to CSUB. Trader Joe’s is right across the street. Sweet Fix ice cream across the street and is excellent. The hotel is very nice. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

I stayed in Room 322 and my daughter stayed in room 324，however, my room (322) had a strange smell (like pee) right after I opened the door. That smell only had in my room especially around the tile area.

Clean good space more choices for buffet breakfast but coffee taste good . Will stay again if we’re in Bakersfield.

Room was comfortable and clean. We had a room right next to the elevators and the ice machine so it was a bit loud at times, but other than that, it was quiet. Air worked well on a hot 104 day. One thing I would suggest is putting outlets near beds for phone charging.

Are stay was good the 1 thing I was NOT HAPPY WITH was that I booked a room with 2 queens size bed and a large tube in the rest room and I was looking forward to that large tub because I hurt my back and wanted to relax in that tub and lady at the front desk said that they had gave my room to someone else, and that such because this hotel didn’t have a jacuzzi . That was pretty disappointing
