Elevator smell bad

Absolutely fantastic

Everything on our two nights day was great starting with the staff behind the desk. The breakfast was good, their rooms had everything we needed, with spacious and clean living areas.

Wi-Fi didn’t work staff couldn’t help me connect. Traveling without WiFi service isn’t good. Thank God I have 5G service just for these sorts of occasions but come on if you advertise WiFi service you should have it. I’d advise them to invest in a new carrier. TV service was in dispute with Scripts couldn’t get game four of NBA finals.

Clean and spacious rooms

Location was easy to find parking was no issue. King bed was very comfortable would like to know what brand it was! We were on bottom floor over head noise was minimal! Breakfast was much more than expected for free meal! Best part coffee was perfectly made and for this who love creamer they had the pump not dry! Room didn’t look dated and very clean! I didn’t have any complaints! I’m use to bootle water in the rooms we have stayed at before but that’s not a necessity as I always bring extra in the car.

The room was supposed to have been completed with all the renovations, but the hotel was definitely not completed. The hot tub was not in order, the pool was continuously dirty, the yogurt was expired and I actually got sick off of it at breakfast. A few members of the staff were great, especially the breakfast lady, but the desk members were too busy on their personal phones to help out with issues. The bedsheets were actually stained with something red, possibly food. I was supposed to have been upgraded due to the last time we were there at being in such a disarray and they had nothing to offer. No discount, no upgrade, not a care in the world about the situation. I had to wait until almost 5 PM to even have my room cleaned on the second day because they were low staffed. I actually think I should get a nights back on this day monetarily because it was so low on expectations.

The breakfast was great, the mirror in the bathroom is wonderful. The room had been recently updated so there was plenty of light, electrical outlets and blackout shades. The room was very comfy with a sofa in addition to the beds. Parking was adequate and the staff was terrific.

The hotel is a bit more outdated in some parts (the elevator took a while even though it was only going from the 1st to the 2nd floor). The room itself was pretty okay with newer furnishing, but the bathroom had a few chipped tiles and dark spots in the bathtub. There also seems to be multiple people per hotel room as our group saw one person making more than 4 plates to bring up to their room to eat. The front desk personnel was also a bit weird in that usually they would show you the documents that you're signing first, but in the case of this hotel, all that popped up was a place for your signature after the front desk personnel gave you a verbal confirmation. Please make sure to ask to view the document prior to signing as I did notice a discrepancy between what we were told verbally and what was then being signed on the papers.

We were running late and I called she was amazing she told me not to worry she was going to hold the room until we arrived She was just getting off from her shift but still helped us. She even gave us something to drink and a snack Next morning she was there again As we had a very nice Free breakfast We used to stay at a different hotel when we pass through Bakersfield (twice a month)but they were sold out We now have a new hotel in Bakersfield “Comfort Suites” We’ll be back in 2 weeks! Thank you Danielle for all you did for us!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the bed. It really did have a pillow top, and lots of pillows to choose from. My room was right beside the elevator, but I never even heard it when it was being used. The breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs and cheese omelets, sausage cereals waffles, etc. The coffee was really good as well.

The room is spacious, clean and the mirror in the bathroom is wonderful. The elevator is kind of slow. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast is good.

Comfort Suites is my go to hotel when I travel because I know the stay will be pleasant, in extremely pleasant surroundings. I especially like the Bakersfield site because there's a Black Angus steakhouse a five minute walk away and a Hungry Hunter or Carls Jr. and Costco ten minutes away. Since this site is less than a block from Rosedale Hwy just about every nationwide chain eatery and so many super local eateries are within a three mile drive. This location suits me to a 'T'!

Breakfast was average, powdered eggs, sausage, waffles, (cold) potatoes, (but I got to breakfast at 8:30 so they were sitting out a while. They also had toast, yogurt, bananas, cereal, oatmeal and coffee. Elevator carpet needs an upgrade. Doesn't go with the newly decorated rooms. Remember, the elevator is the second thing we see after the lobby. Overall, quiet location and the bed was comfy. If I ever had to travel through there again, I would stay again.

Nicely renovated hotel with good amenities, nice hot breakfast and a very pleasant staff. There were a number of nice features in our suite, including a charging shelf with USB-A and USB-C ports, a coffee table/ottoman by the sofa, a nice desk, and a digital AC that actually works and doesn't put out smelly air!

This property provided exactly what was needed- quiet, clean room with breakfast. That’s not to say the property is in perfect shape- there seems to be a stalled update going on and there are visual defects. The elevator smelled like cleaning supplies (could be worse right?) and the bathroom was a little musty from not enough fresh air. On the flip side- nothing felt “dirty” the towels were soft and fresh, the shower head was great, and the AC blew plenty cold. Both my son and I commented that the staff, from the front desk to the breakfast help, were probably the friendliest we have ever encountered at a hotel. At nearly $100 cheaper than the neighboring hotels I would say it’s a bargain. I would stay again in a heartbeat

Excellent last minute stay. Super clean and comfortable bed/pillows on firm side. The staff was kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with strawberry waffle batter and solid biscuits gravy eggs sausage cereal fruit along with juice and coffee. The location is close to the freeway but also has important amenities like food and hospitals 5 minutes away. Also have a great lobby and dining area. The worst part of the whole hotel was the elevator seemed old. It was working just fine though and never caused a delay. I would definitely stay here again.

First time staying at this location and was overall good with checking-in. Room did smell too much of the cleanning product and found previous users socks tucked away corner near the tv stand. WiFi was not the best inside the room since it was the furthest away from the center of the building if that makes any sense. Quiet and no issues with parking.

The bedding was comfortable, mattress not too hard or too soft, the room was very spacious and also the bathroom. Breakfast was normal (eggs, bread, bacon, yogurt, cereal, juices, coffee and oatmeal) The WiFi connection was too bad, couldn’t stayed connected and most of the times didn’t even work

The room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable. I had to leave early on Sunday and the staff prepared the breakfast buffet early. That was a wonderful surprise!! The property is undergoing some renovations, so that accounts for the less than outstanding rating, but it is understandable.

Renovation of this hotel is almost complete. We’ve been staying here when visiting Bakersfield for years. Staff is super friendly and it will even be better and now it’s refreshed.

The room was extremely nice But! The shower leaked onto the foyer all the way across to the wall grateful it was all tile. There were 2 remote controls. 1 for the TV, the other had no label. Couldn't figure out what the remote was for. I went to close the curtain and couldn't pull shut the outer shade. The entire outer shade fell down.

When we checked in, we noticed sheetrocking was done but they had not painted or textured the lobby walls. This certainly did not detract from the picture of what it would be, but I had to wonder if the tape on the carpet seems was intended to be replaced with new carpet. The room was beautiful.

The lady at front desk was excellent. My room and the interior wasn’t. She said they were remodeling. My room the tv didn’t work until I got assistance. I tried to call the front desk but it kept beeping. Looked at the phone it had a different room number on it. Had to call on my cell. For what I paid I wasn’t happy.

The elevator was disgusting, the refrigerator was making horrible noise, the beds were super hard. The phone didn’t work. Reno must have been going on because the wall were pulled apart. The breakfast was all microwaved, i think the eggs are from powder. The only thing that was truly wonderful was the girl at the front desk.

The construction that was happening

Breakfast was a 7-8. Not everything offered was top quality, however it was filling and generally tasty. Hallway was torn apart on 3rd floor. Ice machine on 3rd floor was inoperable. Carpet in elevator was about 10 years beyond its prime. Decor in room was "dated," to put it mildly!

The bathtub was dirty and I had to rinse it down before using it and the water pressure for the shower was the worst I’ve had in a hotel. It was basically leaking out. The AC barely worked and then they had construction going on in the room next to me in the morning.

Quick stop-over night on trip to LA. The hotel lobby was dark when we arrived but someone came to help check us in quickly. Room was standard for the value, clean sheets and beds were firm. Breakfast in the morning was nice for the price, plenty of food and serviced well.

Location is right off the freeway and close to Costco and stores. The location is safe. Breakfast is okay. The bathroom didn’t have a trash can, only one trash can in the room. I had to request for an additional trash can.

The room was large. The stall all were very friendly. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Some were very lumpy. We didn’t get good sleep. Couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work even though I got it connected. The TV had numerous channels but very few familiar news channels.The breakfast was adequate.

We booked the hotel because I had cataract surgery and we needed a place to rest as I had an early follow-up appointment the next morning and we live in Isabella. Everything was perfect, clean comfortable and exactly what we were looking for!! Thank you!!!

Traffic noise was VERY loud. Doors to rooms were also very thin and I could hear the ice maker that was down the hall.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in the process of replacing mattresses and furniture, which is a good thing because they are a bit worn out. The breakfast was very good and the staff, especially the man at the front desk, are very friendly and courteous. We highly recommend this hotel!

The rooms were fair. I have a service animal and the first thing i was hit with was the threat of a fine if a blacklite inspection determined the residual signs of urine in the room. When i entered the room the first thing that my dog did was set upon the tell-tell signs of other animals that had been present in the room. I requested that the blacklite inspection be done in my presence because my dog is house trained and i was not going to be fined for someone elses animal. My request was declined.

We were in town for a family need, and I had to work from the hotel during the days. When we first entered our room it looked like the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and the toilet was filthy. I inquired if the guests could be alerted to the disruption and was told there was nothing they could do, so I asked to move rooms. Our new room, also newly remodeled, was equally poor. The lights were wired incorrectly and either all came on, or none did. The outlet next to the bed sparked when I plugged in my phone, and didn’t charge. More grout smeared around the bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush unless you poured more water in the bowl. The final straw was the inability to connect to internet which I needed for work. Their IT tried for 45 min with no success. It was all too much and we had to leave. Pros: location, breakfast, & comfy beds

Room was prepaid. Not told that at check in there would be a $100 "incidentals" and it would take 1 week to refund it. The pool area is a mess. Weeds and water bugs out at night.Broken ADA lifts. Area needs swept and washed. Large pigeon poop smeared on 3rd floor window. Same cup of old coffee on BBQ from Fri-Sun.Room was very nice.Not concerned about construction materials adjacent to pool,I get that. I get pool deck is in need of rehab. Just sweep it up. Hire pest control and pool weeds

there is an automatic hundred dollar hold that you discover when you arrive. I normally stay with Wyndham, and that has never happened with them. so, I will never stay at this company‘s properties again.

The staff were awesome but The bed was too hard. Not the same as the last two comfort inn/suites we stayed at. Was having to change positions all night because I’m the bed was uncomfortable

Very old hotel, look worn and bed was uncomfortable. The staff made up for the lack of comfort at hotel. The front desk during my stay was friendly, accommodating and informative. They provided a room on main floor, close to front. They made me want to come back.

I never understand rooms with a fold out couch with no bedding. Asked front desk for bedding on our way out and it wasn't there. Took from one room's extra bed to cover the other couch, which worked but was annoying. Check in process seemed a bit tedious, could be streamlined. Esp with 2 rooms, they ran them separately, which was admitting. Overall, would definitely stay again &had a good experience. .

Check in was easy. Staff was so friendly and even served breakfast earlier than the scheduled time since we had an early baseball game.

I loved my stay

The room was clean and fresh. They held our rooms even though we came in at midnight, plus helped up with a parking spot since the parking lot was full. Everyone was very pleasant and upbeat.

Comfortable room. Good service by staff. Parking could be better as large vehicles with trailers parked across multiple spots limiting availability.

There was very little parking available this time. There was a large diesel truck blocking 5 spaces . Was a little inconvenient but we managed and enjoyed our stay .

The mattress was like sleeping on the floor. It was the worst mattress I have ever slept on. Everything else was fine but because of the extremely hard mattress I would not recommend staying here

I was excited to book this room when I saw it had a rating of almost 9 out of 10. The room was good sized. Seemed a bit out dated. The thing that was odd when I got to the room. The tv co ax was disconnected from the cable box I called down to the front desk to ask why I didn’t have tv respection but the phone was busy and busy.so I investigated and found the co ax not connected , popped it on and it was working. The clock was also unplugged. You would think those things would be checked before before someone checked in. The gal at front desk was nice and friendly. I would say this was a so so experience.

Room smelled kind of funky but fabreeze helped. Overall a great experience, spacious room. Room was turned down nicely and fresh bathroom towels replenished daily. Free coffee in the lobby tasted surprisingly good. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options. Workers were friendly. Pool was under renovation but we didn't need it. But what was exceptional was the professionalism and helpfulness of the concierge, especially Danielle. Thank you!

The staff here are wonderful. I need a room with an accessible shower. When I checked in it was not available however the next day the staff quickly cleaned that room and helped us move.

Breakfast was great and staff was great too. Really loud at night, motorcycles and people on the pool. Building looked old and scary from outside but rooms were good.

The late night desk lady was so nice and helpful!

Biker convention/motorcycles kept us up all night (3 nights)maybe even due to not having better insulation, thicker paned windows, etc.

Clean hotel and comfortable stay

ADA room had some maintenance issues but not horrible. Was given that room without request so faulty shower curtain rod and uneven drain were a mild issue. Great staff though.

Good sized room. Breakfast was mediocre. What made the stay great was the super friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to LeighAnn on front desk who went out and moved her own car so that I could park safely in the light in front of the hotel. Also, breakfast staff were friendly and hardworking. This will be my new favorite stop on Hwy 99 trips.

We were on our way to visit our family. Bakersfield was a stop before another lag of travel. It was great Costco was 1 min away from hotel property that give us a chance to shop and bring goodies to family
